Lover Forced The Ruler

Lover Forced The Ruler
Chapter 98. End of Search

Lisle could hardly believe her hearing. Celine really wanted her death. Just because Lisle wasn't by Celine's side in the times when she needed an interview? Or for some other reason? Lisle was unable to think about it.

"You really mean it?" Lisle's feet were now on the brink. He remembered Kennard. Why has that man not arrived yet? Is it really that hard to find? Will this be the end of his life?

There was a sneering smile on Celine's lips. "Maybe you need to be convinced" he said. Hand's moving. And….

Dor's! A bullet shot almost to Lisle's feet, making him wobble.

The girl looked at Celine sadly. When her legs no longer had a solid support, Lisle's body fell backwards.

In the few seconds that felt long for Lisle, she recalled all of Celine's kindness. He closed his eyes and saw flashes as they were at the dining table. When Celine held out a glass of milk and a piece of bread on Lisle's empty stomach. As they share stories in their cramped rooms. Time Celine ran to greet him on the back road of the campus. It hurts so much. It may hurt more than death itself.

And Celine's eyes the last time she saw it, there wasn't the slightest bit of pity there.

As Kennard descended from the heli that led him to the courtyard of an old castle-like building, no one greeted him. Lucas tells the location of the last signs of his wife's presence around the place. But when he and an army of Ronald's men checked, the place was empty.

But they discovered that Lisle had indeed been in that place. Kennard gets his wife's bag splattered in a room.

Kennard gnashed his teeth. This time he felt played.

Bert looked at Celine who was sitting near the ravine with her hand still holding the weapon. The girl was laughing but the corners of her eyes were flowing clear that was soaking her cheeks.

"Based on a stupid girl! You killed a treasured prisoner, Mr. Alger." Celine cursed but did nothing to the girl. He should have known that this girl had been nervous since the first time they had taken her.

From the information Bert got, Celine was a close friend of Lisle. Taking the girl to their side would definitely be very useful later on. He even had a chance to feel happy when he saw Celine's hatred for Lisle. But never thought that the girl would act alone. Now he had no idea what Mr. Alger was going to say once he knew that his years of plans had failed because of this girl.

Bert called Peter Alger.

"Have you got the girl back?" ask Mr. Alger from across.

"Sir, the girl is dead…." Bert reporting. He was getting ready for the old man's wrath. But he heard nothing. Just a slow 'click' sound. Then….

It all happened so fast. The waiter and the man in the jacket had fallen to the ground with a deep red hole in his head. Someone knocked Bert's head with a blunt object and he was already unconscious. His phone fell out of someone's grasp and picked it up.

"Zion's?" hiss Kennard.

There was a bad laugh across. Kennard. He will never forget that voice.

"It's a shame we can't meet today, young man. I lost my toy before I showed it to you." Peter Alger or what Kennard used to know as Zion chuckles at the end there.

Lucas tells him that a signal indicating Lisle's whereabouts was detected. They chase to the brink find Bert and his men and Celine who look insane.

Peter's laughter exploded. "I can't wait for that moment."

Then the connection was cut.

"Sir, we found, Madam!" A voice made Kennard ignore the thought of Zion returning. His heart suddenly became irregular in its beat. Kennard was never this golden. The bad shadow about Lisle's state made her rush to the origin of the call.

The sky is as blue as the sea. Unclouded. Almost without clouds.

Celine looked up at the group of birds passing over her with a blank feeling. There is no cloud that can make him guess what kind of thing.

In the spacious courtyard behind the white building, Celine has been spending her time lately. Not because he likes it, but because there's nothing he can do. After all he could no longer distinguish the things he liked or not. No longer want anything. On his head only occasionally flashed the shadows of a few people. An old woman, a young man of responsibility, a face like a fairy and the shadow of a charming man. He dreams of it almost every night.

However Celine could not remember their names.

Each face was present in his shadow or dream, different feelings appeared. Different feelings of sadness and pain. Celine doesn't understand. He wanted to ask just in case someone could tell him who they were. But how does he ask, while the faces he only sees in his dreams or shadows.

"Miss, it's time to take the medicine." A woman dressed in white approached. He did not wait for Celine's reply, but directly took a position behind the wheelchair and pushed her, directing her to the entrance of the white building.

Celine didn't say anything either. Just stay in his chair. His eyes were still staring blankly at the view of the sky above him until the scene changed the white ceiling of the room. The girl complained. One drop after another his tears fell.

There was a part in his heart that was like a hole. Something that had taken root there had been uprooted but he did not know what it was. He only felt an infinite void. And he sank into that emptiness. Achieving. Palpate. But that which is again emptiness. Celine is tired.

By late afternoon, someone tells her that Celine has a guest. The girl tilted her face to the origin of the voice. His eyes were still in the afternoon sky.

This was the first time someone had come to see after a month the girl had arrived here.

He was a young man in his teens with a pair of gloomy eyes. The young man approached Celine with slow steps. Looks shaky. They had not met for more than a month. Since one night Celine was saying goodbye to meeting someone. Since then the girl has not returned.

"Celine," reprimanded the young man with a trembling voice. She was told that Celine doesn't remember anything or anyone. Maybe the girl forgot about it too. But he scolded her too.

Celine noticed the young man and immediately recognized him as the face in her dream. "You?'

Rey's eyes are misty. He drew closer, grabbing Celine's hands. "Did you remember me?" rey asked her sister expectantly.

Unfortunately, Celine shook her head. He pulled his hand from Rey.

"No." Celine shakes her head again. "Who are you? I don't know you."
