In a villa on the outskirts of town, a few hours earlier.
The car Steve was driving entered the courtyard of a large villa. As soon as it stopped, Kennard came out and immediately entered the classic-style building. Inside the deserted. Only a male servant welcomed his arrival. From the clothes he was wearing, the man named Hans looked like a servant, but his large tall stature was more like a bodyguard. He's Kennard's confidant who handles all the dark business at home and abroad. Although officially he was only a servant but he was a man with a double profession.
“Where is he?” Kennard asked as soon as he arrived in the living room.
“There is in the basement.” Hans told Kennard to follow him, who immediately walked to the back of the villa.
They arrived at a large section of the kitchen. Kennard stopped near the wine cellar and pressed a button. A section of the wall next to the storage door shifted, revealing a passageway with descending stairs. There was a damp air coming from the room. Kennnard stepped down into the room with the gloomy illumination.
A short, fat man sat down in a cramped position on the floor. His body and arms are bound. The white shirt he wore was covered with blood and dust stains. His face was almost unrecognizable as it had been battered by the marks of the blow. The man looked like a dead man if only his breathing movements were not visible. He did not respond to the arrival of the people in the room.
“Wake him!” Kennard's orders.
Hans took out a bucket of water and poured it over the wound-filled body. The man who turned out to be Aaron choked for a moment. He looked up to see the people who came. It was then that a bright chandelier was lit on it. Kennard looked coldly at the old figure before him. While Aaron just stared at the young man with terrified eyes. Is this the man Mr Kent called?
After an attack on the hotel that killed his right-hand man Bay, Aaron is unconscious. It was soon realized he was in his home with his legs still sore but it seemed that the bullet lodged there had been removed and his scar had been treated. Aaron was surprised he wasn't finished off at the same time as Bay. His wife explained that there were people who delivered it and told him that there was an attack on the road. They mentioned a name, Mr. Kent, as the man responsible for the shooting. Aaron said nothing. He doesn't want his wife to know. He never talked about his business with the woman.
Aaron called his friend in the police, inspector Ronald. He asked for information about the man called Mr. Kent. But what he got was an advice not to add to the mess and avoid coming into contact with Kent.
“Did you ever hear about the five great families in Black Mountain? If Mr. Kent wanted to, he could have destroyed those five families. But what you need to know, the successors of the three families are her best friends. I do not want to underestimate you, sir. I think facing just one of them, sir might not be able to. Don't make trouble again with that guy.” Inspector Ronald ended his explanation and hung up the phone in haste. He doesn't want to get involved in this. There's only one he doesn't understand, how can Aaron be released while Bay gets a death sentence from Mr Kent?,
Aaron somewhat trusts Ronald's information but is still curious how the little girl got in touch with such a powerful man in Black Mountain, whereas Lisle has just moved there. One more thing, he was released just like that. What does that guy mean?
Aaron had no idea that a more terrible punishment was waiting for him.
It turned out that he was released and given a breathing opportunity only to see all the wealth he had taken away and the lives of those around him destroyed. His estate suddenly caught fire and several of his hunting equipment shops exploded. All his business was destroyed in a day. Then her daughter Beatrice disappeared. Not kidnapped. A phone call from her daughter said she went to Black Mountain to help her father, becoming a ransom so that his father would not be bullied again. Two days later she received word that her daughter was auctioned at a club. His wife, who knew that she could not accept the reality, shot herself in the head in front of Aaron's eyes.
Aaron became furious. He no longer cared about the inspector's advice, his friend. He gathered some of his best men and went to Black Mountain after being informed of Mr. Kent's whereabouts.
“Now you know who I am?” Kennard stepped closer to Aaron until the man had to look up to look at him.
Aaron finds a charming look of a tall man towering. His face line is almost perfect. Only his eyes were emitting the blackest fire he had ever seen. For a moment he shuddered to see the cold smile on the man's lips. It's the kind of person who won't be touched in the least by anything he sees.
Those old eyes widened, appearing red and watery. He had not expected that someone so powerful and feared in the entire Black Mountain city was still so young and handsome. How could he have that power and influence at his age that might not even be thirty years old?
Kennard had no intention of touching his prey even with the tip of a shoe.
“I don't like to dirty my hands even though I actually want to play around with you a little. But I think this game is enough to satisfy me. You must have understood why I let you live these few days.” Kennard slightly bowed and his voice sounded cold. “Of course so you don't get curious in hell.”
“Devil man...” Aroon hissed furiously but felt helpless.
Kennard just laughed at the swearing. He didn't look offended and looked happy.
“I think I've warned you enough not to disturb the girl.” Kennard stepped around Aaron. “But it looks like that little girl has made you lose your mind. Sure oes. She is so sweet. Do you know the taste of her lips? Just by kissing her you're satisfied. It feels like sleeping with a virgin.” Kennard stops in front of Aaron only to see the man's junkyard descending.
The insolent! This guy still thinks about my girl? How dare....
Kennard gestured to Hans. The waiter approached her and handed Kennard a gun.
Aaron who saw that said defiantly. “Kill me!”
Kennard's smile looks sneaky. “Bring him to the backyard!”
There was another door with stairs leading to the backyard. Hans dragged Aaron there and turned to the exit. Kennard was at the top of the stairs. Steve and Hans were standing behind him by the door. The man pointed his gun.
