Lover Forced The Ruler

Lover Forced The Ruler
Chapter 4. The Man Lisle Liked

Just a month ago Lisle came to the Black Mountains, leaving the small town of Glassville where she was raised by her aunt Annie. After her mother's father is killed in a car accident, Annie's aunt is the only Lisle family left. Honey, Aunt Annie is not a comfortable place to live.

“Nona Peri, are you awake?” The sound made the lazy and tired Lisle sit on his bed. Like waking from a nightmare, his body trembled and broke out in cold sweat.

“Si... who?” He asked nervously despite being able to directly guess the caller. The heavy but melodious man's voice, Lisle recalled the call ‘nona peri’ pinned on her last night.

There was a soft laugh on the other side. Lisle's heart was pounding chaotically.

How did he know my phone number?

“Have forgotten about your own boyfriend? Should I remind you...”.

Click! Lisle turned off her phone and threw the thing in a haphazard manner. Coinciding with that Celine walked into her room and was stunned to find the phone falling under her feet.

“Who scared you like that?” Celine approached Lisle whose face looked deathly pale.

“Unknown number...” Lisle answered the origin with eyes glaring. His stomach was nauseous when he remembered last night. He hoped that everything that happened last night was just a dream that was coming to an end while awake. The nightmare continued until he woke up.

“What does he say?” Celine asked carefully. Maybe it was a phone scam that made a hoax about one of the relatives until Lisle looked in shock.

“She threatened...” Lisle felt threatened.

Celine looked worried. “Threatening?”

“I... I'll change the number later.” Lisle muttered nervously. His face looked dazed as he moved to the bathroom.

In a mansion, Kennard leans on a balcony railing. Next to his hand rubbed his hair which still leaves water points with a towel. Her bathrobe was tied loosely to her waist showing lines of strength on her chest. Her smile expanded to reinforce her handsome face. Had a girl seen it, it would have melted her heart instantly.

Kennard was still holding the phone with the other hand when the call was abruptly disconnected. No woman has ever done anything like that to him. They were even very much waiting for a call from Kennard. But the fairy lady only said a word ‘who’ and immediately turned off the connection when Kennard answered her. Really cute girl.

And the girl has designated Kennard as her boyfriend. Like it or not!

He saw a phone screen that still shows the writing ‘nona peri’ and a row of numbers. The corner of his lips was still raised considering the meeting last night. The girl was clearly frightened.

But she called him because she couldn't bear to hear the girl's sweet voice. What he heard was a voice like a mouse squeak that was cornered by its prey. Kennard shook his head unconsciously. How could the girl he liked be afraid of him?

Kennard stepped into his spacious room and threw his cell phone on a large bed.

The girl's problem might be put away for a moment. There is a lot of work to deal with these days at Diamond Group.

The newly thrown phone suddenly rang. Kennard slightly furrowed his brows but ignored him. It's still too early for a call to his number. The sky outside was not even too bright.

Lisle hurriedly set foot along the passageway through a large row of classes. The Ritz Diamond University was truly a fortune that God had bestowed on her. As well as being a way out for the impasse of his life.

Suddenly remembered by him again his last day in Glassville. Lisle hit her own head in annoyance. There were a lot of things he didn't want to remember lately because it was so scary.

After the last class was over, Lisle had time to check his phone that was turned off. Daisy sends him a short message telling him to come to the Cloud Cafe before lunch. The cafe-owner's girl may be very troubled alone now.

No calls or messages from the man. Lisle was instantly relieved. He doesn't want to get a call from someone who claims to be his girlfriend at will.

Even though that guy is really handsome!

“Truly stupid girl!” A denouncing voice entered his hearing.

Lisle held onto her painful shoulder while watching the group of people next to her. The one he almost hit was Ralph. The handsome young man who had helped her when she first set foot on this campus. At that time Lisle was completely confused by the situation of a campus of this size. Ralph accompanied her to find the part of the campus she was referring to and to complete the various matters required for enrollment.

They met accidentally several times. Of course without a bunch of girls behind him like today. It didn't take long for Lisle to like it. But who doesn't love that dark-haired guy with brown eyes?  Girls adore him. It didn't take long for Lisle to break her heart immediately.

The girl who said cynical earlier glanced at him with dislike. He has been trailing Ralph all the time and has nearly exploded every time he has the infatuated look of every girl he meets. He wanted the man for himself even though there was no definite response from Ralph. The man often laughs lightly and considers ridiculous behavior that considers Ralph as his own. Like today.

“It seems that this fool likes you so much that he willingly banged himself to the pole.”  The girl named Shopia sneered.

There were small humbling laughter all around.

Lisle wanted to retaliate with, I didn't know it was Ralph. I didn't even see it. If I knew, I'd rather crash into him and fall into his arms. It'll be comfortable.

The idea made Lisle's face turn red instantly. He was ashamed of his thoughts.

But Shopia who saw that thought that her guess was correct and Lisle became embarrassed by it. He almost said something when Ralph interrupted.

“Didn't you like me too until you followed me anywhere?” A ignorant smile adorns the corner of the charming lips that make him more handsome.

But Kennard is better-looking. Ralph doesn't have half of his good looks. The demons teased Lisle's charms just now. His eyes flickered in innocence. Looks more and more stupid.

“Crazy basics!” Shopia stomped her feet and passed from that place. Ralph teased her, he knew. But it also embarrassed him instantly with the truth. He's not really angry. Just a little disappointed at being forced to let go of that stupid-looking girl. How dare he like his Ralph.

Lisle saw Ralph smiling at her while nodding slightly then following the shopia with some girls behind him following. They seem to be friends of that girl. There's not a word from Ralph. Lisle was a little disappointed.
