Lisle thought on their last day on the island she could relax. But even the day was still not bright when Kennard woke him up. The man had been neat with his training suit.
Although not refuting, Lisle pulled again the blanket that had been prepared by her husband. He turned around to set the most comfortable position. His eyes still felt heavy. He had only opened his eyes for a moment, blinked once because of the sight that he thought was so charming in front of him then closed his eyes again.
Back to the dream pulled him. Lisle felt the sight of Celine standing on the edge of the abyss. But it was like a faint sight. It looks real but it's also like a hallucination. Lisle still heard Kennard calling her.
"Mrs Kent, don't you want to see the sun rise near the reef?"
It takes tens of seconds for Lisle's brain to get back to work. While half of her head was still repeating the scene of Celine falling, Kennard's voice made her think of something else more real. The girl opened her eyes and blinked for a while.
"You said the sun came up?" Lisle suddenly got up from her lying down.
Kennard nodded. "Hurry and change your clothes. Don't let the sun rise and we get there."
Lisle rushed towards the bathroom and came back as fast as lightning. It only takes a few minutes to change clothes. Afterwards he had already arrived in front of Kennard who was waiting for him outside the house. Her face looked plain without makeup. Her hair was also just braided one back.
Kennard couldn't help but smile at his wife's appearance. Since before becoming his wife until now, Lisle has not changed. Always be simple and do not try to look better. It was precisely simplicity and innocence that Kennard liked. Lisle is naturally beautiful. Without makeup, she could attract anyone's attention.
"Come on!" urged Lisle who saw Kennard not also move from where he stood.
Without replying, Kennard turned around and began to run slowly so that his wife could follow.
"Hey! I think we're going up something. Is there no bike or bike?" Lisle followed her husband in a hurry. While Kennard was seen running casually with his broad strides, Lisle had to put in a lot of effort for them to be on par.
"Running around healthier. Aren't you tired of riding in a vehicle every time you travel? Once we get home, we won't have a good chance like this again." Kennard did not reduce his speed even though Lisle seemed to struggle to follow him.
The air is full of dew. Chilly. There was a thin mist that was pierced by the light of their time light passing through the training building. Not a single person was seen around them.
Lisle stared straight at the road ahead that had no illumination.
"Where are we going?" ask Lisle curiously. As he remembered, the beach was too far from there. When coming here, they need half an hour by car to arrive. If running like now, I don't know how long it will take. Two hours? Three hours?
"Beach." Kennard said short while continuing to run.
"But it's very far away. Doesn't the sunburner come up?" Lisle intended to remind her even though she knew it was impossible for Kennard to forget that.
"Where do you know that the beach is far away?" Kennard asked back. "Don't talk anymore. I know what I'm doing. Keep running and just follow!"
Lisle said nothing more. Well, you're the boss. Of course you know what you're doing. He just grumbled in his heart.
After half an hour of running, they arrived by the sea in a section full of rocks. It turned out that they were going through a different path from the moment they arrived.
"His heart is almost up!" exclamation Lisle.
"Come here." Kennard grabbed his wife's hand and led her up a large rock. From there the view around is clearer.
Both of them sat facing the sea. Its choppy surface broke the lightening reflection of the sky. Slowly a yellowish tinge peered from the eastern side of the sky.
Kennard hugged Lisle who was sitting next to him. It was not the morning sun he saw. Lisle's happy face attracted her attention even more.
"You happy?" ask Kennard to his wife who had not stopped talking while pointing in several directions. There was nothing extraordinary about the sea this morning. They had sailed for several days to the Imperial Sun. The atmosphere is much more amazing. Honey, back then this girl looked very depressed by his side.
Looks a loud nod to Lisle. His lips were incessantly smiling. He didn't even realize he was being noticed.
"Don't we ever see anything better than this in Sun Imperial?" Kennard.
Lisle. He turned to the man beside him. The look in his eyes and the seductive smile of this man made him blush.
"really? I don't remember." Lisle looked straight ahead again.
In fact, he did not forget every minute of their time together. He was just embarrassed to admit that this man's charm had made him ignore his surroundings. And that time was not right. He was lamenting his fate, how could he enjoy that holiday?
"You were always scared every touch. Do I look scary?" Kennard remembered how Lisle always tried to avoid him.
"Of course I'm scared. We just met, but you keep saying we're dating."
"Because you look funny. A lot of women try to get close to me, you're like a frightened rabbit every time you meet. I wonder what else I'm lacking?" Kennard admitted that Lisle had made him not confident.
"You want to know your shortcomings, Mr Kent?" Lisle threw a pebble she found to the surface of the sea down there. "You're so arrogant. And I don't like arrogant men."
"I deserve to be arrogant, don't I? I have it all…."
"You're starting again." Lisle sneered towards her husband. "Do you think that when you die, all your money will come in handy?"
"Hey, is my wife praying for my death?" Kennard pulls Lisle closer to him.
"Of course not. I wish I had gone first so I wouldn't have to cry when you left first. I can't imagine it." Lisle gazed into the dark eyes of the night in front of her. Yes, he did not know how deep his sadness would be when the separation came. Death is a certainty that no one can deny. Even by the most powerful person in this Black Mountain.
Kennard stroked his wife's delicate cheeks. "If you go first, I'll kill myself" he said.
Lisle laughing. "No! If I had to go first. You can't follow me. You have to stay alive. Do you think we're gonna keep going like this, just the two of us? Don't you ever think about having a child?" Lisle's cheeks flushed red as she said that. He never thought about having children. But just a moment ago it flashed suddenly.
