The city of Efron is located to the east of Black Mountain. The journey through the air took less than an hour.
Lisle observed around that looked desolate. A huge building resembling a castle stood looming in front of him. Surrounding it was a forest with dense groves of trees and ravines. He frowned, turning to Bert next to him.
"It doesn't look like a city here" Lisle said.
"It's on the outskirts. But it's still in Efron territory." Bert walked quickly to the building.
A man in a black jacket greeted Bert. It reminded Lisle of the kidnapping incident a month ago. The men in dark jackets. They hid weapons in their waists and disguised them. There was a kind of cold feeling crawling around Lisle's nape. He raised a hand rubbing the back of his neck, trying to expel the discomfort.
They both seemed to talk for a moment. Then Bert turned to Lisle who was quite far behind him.
"Come on!"
Lisle followed Bert towards the entrance of the building. The man in the jacket took a few steps behind.
Once through the large entrance, they arrived at a spacious living room with a bit of furniture. Just a set of sofas with large pots containing ornamental plants nearby. The walls are empty without any decoration.
A half-old woman walked in from the long hallway of the building. Lisle. Aunt Annie. He thought, Bert was trying to frame him. Almost made sure he wouldn't meet his aunt. Why are both of them here?
"Auntie."
"Lisle, my son." The woman immediately hugged Lisle warmly, like a mother missing her long-lost daughter.
Inevitably Lisle returned the embrace, albeit with an awkward feeling. He doesn't miss this woman. Because she wanted the two things, she agreed to meet Aunt Annie.
"You look so beautiful" said Aunt Annie. He pulled his nephew's arm and sat down on the sofa.
Bert momentarily watched the scene while grinning. Then the young man is seen making a call with his cell phone.
"Mr Alger, I've arrived at Efron." Bert spoke to someone while glancing at Lisle at a glance.
"alright. You can visit us as soon as you want. Maybe that guy is just getting busy looking for it now." Bert spoke in a low voice some distance away from Lisle.
Lisle could hear Bert talking but only vaguely. He turned his head slightly suspiciously but then again tried to bring attention back to his aunt.
Another man in waiter clothes walked into the living room serving a cup of tea. Without saying anything arrange the cup on the low table engraved in front of Lisle.
"Drink," said the aunt. "Let's stay here until dinner. Or just stay over. We haven't seen each other in a long time. Aunty apologized about Mr. Aaron the other day."
Lisle Glaring. "No, Bi. I can't stay long. My husband will be furious. I promised him to come back this afternoon."
I don't think Lisle likes that smile. But if you remember, he could never like this woman. Ever since Aunt Annie came to the hospital and took over all the responsibilities that the young girl who just lost both parents could not bear. Since then, despite feeling helped, Lisle felt that her aunt was not a good person.
The two fell silent for some time until Lisle remembered the purpose of his arrival.
"Bert says you have an old photo of my parents and their music box. I thought it was gone. How did Aunt get it?"
"Someone gave it to me in the hospital, but I've forgotten who. While the photo was taken while your parents were still dating." Annie explained as briefly as possible. He looked towards Bert who had finished speaking in the corner and found a signal from his son.
"Both things are in the room. Drink the tea before it gets cold. Aunty's gonna be in a minute to pick it up" Annie said. He became impatient.
The woman got up from her seat and still reminded Lisle to finish her tea before making her way through the long hallway there.
Lisle lifted the cup from the table and intended to drink a little. Remembering her aunt who seemed to urge her to drink. Despite feeling thirsty, he simply pressed his lips against the edge of the cup. Just then her aunt turned her head and a strange smile was painted on her face. Pretending not to see, Lisle lingered with the cup in her hand. As soon as his aunt turned away, as quickly as she could pour the contents of the cup into a nearby pot. Leave a little tea in it.
If Lisle's guess is correct, there's something inside her tea.
A while Lisle waited. Bert has gone nowhere with the guy in the jacket. Lisle had already not seen her when Aunt Annie left.
When Lisle heard the approaching steps, she got ready with her heart pounding.

When Kennard arrives in the town of Efron, a call from Lucas leaves him almost out of control.
"Master, the trail of the mistress is gone. The last signal is still detected in the eastern suburbs. But half an hour ago we lost track of him." Lucas reported with a trembling feeling. This has never happened before.
"It appears the madam is in a protected place. We have not found a way to penetrate its defense system. They seem to have prepared this" Lucas continued.
No word from Kennard for some time. Although he still seemed calm, he began to worry about his wife's safety. It turned out that the placement of the chip inside the ring that Lisle was wearing did not help much. His enemy has taken into account all possibilities.
"I'll call Ronald and have him deploy his men to comb the eastern suburbs. If I don't find it, I'll ruffle the whole town. And if anything happens to my wife, the whole city of Ephron will sink into the deep sea. Go back and try until it works and call me to report the progress." Kennard turned off the connection and gripped the phone firmly in his hand until his knuckles turned white.
Is this related to that guy. Zion or Peter Alger? It was impossible for Bert to come back and do this so plannedly without the help of someone with power and money.
They landed in front of a large villa belonging to an upscale Efron businessman, Ronald Cain. Kennard and Ronald aren't best friends, but Kennard's investments in Efron have Lord Cain bowing his head before the Black Mountain ruler.
Ronald was fat with a face that was like always smiling. He hurriedly welcomed Kennard's arrival as soon as the man had stepped outside the helicopter carrying him. And when Kennard was in the living room with Ronald, Lucas called his master. Ronald overhears the conversation he only overheard one-sidedly and soon understands the serious situation Mr. Kent is facing. He could only gulp with a stifled feeling when he heard Kennard talk about 'drowning the entire city of Efron' if something unwanted happened to his wife.
But since when did this Black Mountain ruler get married? Ronald did not dare to ask. He hurried to call someone and repeated a few words of Kennard on the phone before the ruler ordered. The people will start searching.
