“Why did you save me?” Lisle asked again despite being afraid of the possible answer.
“Don't you already know the reason?” Kennard took the glass in Lisle's hand and put it back on the table.
“I don't know...” Lisle shook her head slightly but still did not dare to look at the man next to her.
“You are too stupid or just pretending to be stupid?” Kennard stared intently.
Lisle grimaced with that innuendo. Ever since yesterday she had been continuously referred to as a stupid girl by Celine and this person.
“Stop saying I'm stupid! If I were stupid, I wouldn't get a scholarship..” Lisle's face turned red in annoyance. The talk is no longer formal. He's just trying to do what he thinks he can do, but why do they keep calling him stupid.
Kennard almost laughed but he held it in. Only the corners of his lips were raised forming a faint smile. “I wonder why people at universities can give scholarships to stupid girls like you. Are they as stupid as you?” Kennard leaned his face on Lisle. He was attracted to Lisle's bold attitude. So he kept on provoking the girl's emotions with the nickname stupid.
Lisle widened her eyes. It looks beautiful in Kennard's vision. Clear and shiny. Her small lips seemed to tremble withstanding anger. If you don't remember that the girl just regained consciousness from fainting, she might have kissed him again.
“You, what do you want exactly?” Lisle turned her face the other way when for a moment they looked at each other. His anger suddenly subsided when he saw a smile playing on the man's face. Looks like Kennard's trying to play him.
“I'm glad that you've been feeling uneasy again.” Kennard's answer is irrelevant.
Lisle's eyebrows are wrinkled. But he was lazy to argue again. His head was dizzy and his stomach was sore. She just remembered that she had not filled her stomach since this morning.
Kennard noticed a frown on Lisle's face, as if enduring pain. “Something hurts?” tanyakanya. When he saw Lisle holding her stomach together with the creaking sound from inside, Kennard couldn't help but laugh. He turned to Steve who stood far behind.
“What I ordered already exists?” tanyakanya.
“Already, Mr.” Steve pulled out a package.
Kennard received the parcel and took out the contents, a lunchbox. Lisle who saw it thought she would see a full dinner, but after Kennard opened it, it was porridge with vegetable and meat pieces. The food looked still hot because the steam was still steaming.
A small table was placed in front of Lisle and the lunch box was placed on it.
“Eat! If the doctor allows it, we'll be back tonight. I still have a lot of work to do tomorrow but I don't want to leave you here. If you still feel sick, my personal doctor will take care of you when we get there.”
Lisle felt strange with the words she heard. Kennard spoke like they were very close.
“How about aunt Annie?” Lisle remembered her aunt and Bert. Mr. Aaron promised to take care of it as long as Lisle agreed to the deal he offered. And now the deal has been cancelled....
Lisle's hand that was about to scoop the porridge came to a halt. He remembered something. His eyes widened to look at Kennard.
“What... did you guys kill Mr Aaron? That guy shot him. There's blood..!” Lisle took off the spoon. He became trembling. His empty stomach now felt nauseous. Covered palms to the mouth resisting the turmoil in his stomach.
“Regarding your aunt, she is my business. Don't worry about him.” Kennard took care of the two children. The woman had teamed up with Aaron to frame Lisle. Pretending to be gravely ill, she makes Lisle agree to Aaron's offer. Kennard had arranged for Lisle's aunt and son to be sent to a distant land. Lisle won't hear from him again after today.
“You want me to steam?” Kennard grabbed the spoon from before Lisle because the girl did not also start bribing.
“No need!” Lisle hurriedly replied. He took the spoon from Kennard's hand, then began to eat slowly even though his stomach was still uncomfortable.

Since there was no longer anything to worry about from Lisle's health, that night they returned as well. Kennard tried several times to help the girl get on the plane by wiping her off because Lisle looked unusually nervous, but was always rejected. Besides still limp, Lisle is also nervous because this is the first airplane experience. But after stumbling several times, Kennard forced his way onto his shoulder and led him to the passenger seat.
Lisle felt her stomach was really bad. Just a few minutes into the air he had already spewed out the entire dinner he had spent with great difficulty. His face became even paler than before. Kennard several times helped massage his nape and gave a warm drink to relieve his airsickness.
Fortunately, it was a short flight. Within half an hour they were already at the airport of Black Mountain city. A car had been waiting for their arrival and was delivering up to Palm Garden. Lisle who felt the car stop instead in front of her residence refused to come down.
“Don't we have a deal?” Kennard looked down at Lisle who was still sitting in the car. Although still limp but his face looks reddish. “Did you forget?”
“Ke... what deal?” Lisle's voice sounded agitated. The fingers are tied to each other in the lap.
“Then I'll have Steve write down the deal so you don't forget. Comeondown. Or do you want to be carried?” Kennard was still standing outside the car waiting. He could feel the girl's anxiety.
“Not necessary. I can do it myself.” Lisle said hurriedly then came out quickly.
For a moment Lisle was flabbergasted at the sight of the large whitewashed house in front of her. He was too late with his daydream all the way. His head was dizzy and he tried to chase her away by closing his eyes. Kennard's presence next to her also made him depressed. He only knew they were stopping in a foreign place.
“What is this home, Mister?” Lisle gulped looking at the two-story building. There was a row of servants standing on the right left of the road before the terrace. They seemed to be entering the palace with dozens of servants ready to be ordered.
Kennard did not answer. “Come!” he said as he pulled Lisle closer and grabbed Lisle's waist which looked hesitant.
“Why come here? I don't want to. I want to go home to my apartment.” Lisle's coming out of Kennard's arms. Vain. The arm is like an iron claw that holds it.
“You're mine. Of course I brought you to my house. You're gonna stay here now. I don't want your stupidity to cause you so much trouble.”
“Ti... no... don't want!” Lisle shook her head and again was about to run away, but just a slight movement of Kennard had already left the girl in his arms. Lisle's in a mess. Banging on the man's arm and chest, but he just hit a solid wall.
