Lover Forced The Ruler

Lover Forced The Ruler
Chapter 32. Ralph Interrogate

Ralph continued to hold onto Lisle's arm until they arrived among the huge tree grove. No one will notice their presence there.

Lisle tried to let go of that sturdy arm grip repeatedly but always failed. It was only after a while when Ralph stopped dragging his steps that the man removed his grip from Lisle's hand.

“A... What is it?” Lisle looked at Ralph in confusion. A slight red hue adorned her delicate cheeks. He hoped that no one would notice the incident when Ralph suddenly pulled him. He even reflexively looked around in case anyone caught them.

“Who are you looking for?” Ralph furrowed his brows when he saw the girl's eyes like looking around for someone around them.

Lisle came to a realization with the question and then returned her attention to the man in front of her. “Nothing.... Why bring me here?” tanyakanya.

“What is your relationship with Mr Kent?” Ralph was straight at the point of trouble. He's been impatient since this morning, ever since Ray failed to find out what Ralph wanted to know. The man only said that Lisle had been seen with an old man named Aaron. After that, questions swirled in Ralph's mind.

Lisle choked on her own saliva, not expecting to get the question at all. “A... What do you mean?” Lisle didn't know how to dodge that well. He just asked back.

“I asked, what is your relationship with a man named Kennard Kent? Is she who you mean as girlfriend?” Ralph's eyes narrowed. He saw the girl's face turn pale.

“You... how do you know? You investigated me?” Lisle took a step back when she felt Ralph's sharp gaze so piercing.

No one can know. No one should have known. Mr. Kent has promised to cover up this despicable relationship. How could this man easily know if not from the results of investigating. Lisle had even just returned to college three days and their relationship had been known to someone.

“You said you had a girlfriend. I can't believe it. So I investigated it.” Ralph felt sorry for the girl in front of him. He had heard that Mr. Kent disliked girls who became overconfident after being close to him.

Lisle was speechless. He looked very pitiful in Ralph's eyes. The girl's eyes were now even beginning to condense.

“How can you be with him? Tell me. It's not what I thought it was, is it? I know you're not like those cheap girls.” Ralph came up with a lot of questions that none of Lisle answered.

And what about that old man named Aaron? Ray says the man disappeared after being seen with Lisle. It felt as if Ralph's head was about to explode thinking about it. Does this girl not seem as innocent as Aland thought?

“I... i...” Lisle. “What is your business? It has nothing to do with you?!”

The girl raised her face with watery eyes.  His voice was trembling with feelings of anger, sadness and also shame. Yeah, what does this have to do with this guy? He's nobody Lisle. Ralph looked angry but this was none of his business at all.

“I like you. You hear, I like you. That's why it's my business!” Ralph almost shouted to say it.

Lisle's face was filled with tremendous shock. Ralph likes? It felt the ground he was treading swayed.

‘I heard there was someone who liked you on campus.’ Lisle recalled Kennard's words last night. He gave a strong gnaw trying to expel the sudden feeling of dizziness.

“I've liked you since I first saw you. Lisle, if you have a problem, you can tell me. I'll help you. Believe...” Ralph's voice softened. He intended to get close to the girl but Lisle instead widened the distance between them.

Too late, Lisle complained inwardly. Everything has become like this. If he had someone like Ralph, the story would have been a little different.

“There's nothing you need to help. I... I'm fine...” Lisle's voice sounded weak. Other than a few bad things, everything seems to be fine. There's nothing to complain about.

“I know!” Lisle answered quickly. A little harder. Previously he did not know but then he knew her enough after a while by her side.

Ralph shaking. “Do you read from the internet? Or heard it from Celine? You don't really know her, Lisle. His life is darker than you think. Leave her. Faster better.”

“No. I can't..” Lisle shrunk the corner of her eye.

“Why? What did he do to make you stay? You owe him? I can pay for you.” In his heart Ralph was not sure how easy it was to have Lisle leave from Mr. Kent's side.

“I have to go home now..” Lisle ignored Ralph's words just now. He got up from where he stood and intended to leave.

“Where to go? To the man's house?” syndicate Ralph. He was disappointed by Lisle's reaction.

“One more time, sorry, this is really none of your business, Ralph.” Afterwards Lisle rushed away from that place. Everything was too incomprehensible to Lisle. He wanted to get out of there and go anywhere to where he could close his eyes and forget everything even for a moment.

Ralph looked at Lisle's departure with a helpless feeling. If the girl asked for her help, she would do whatever she could to get Lisle out of trouble. Even though he knew facing Mr. Kent was no easy feat. But Lisle doesn't even want to tell a story. She also ignored Ralph's fond feelings for her.

Meanwhile Lisle had already arrived at the back door of the campus. He saw that the car that used to pick him up was already there. Lisle rushed in and closed the door. His tears still seemed to wet some of his smooth cheeks. He saw that William the driver was watching him from the rearview mirror.

“Nona?” William hesitated to ask.

“I'm fine. Please don't tell mister that you saw me cry,” Lisle said in a hoarse voice. Slowly he shrank his tears that were like non-stop flowing. He didn't expect William to complain to Kennard. The problem will get more complicated.

“Sure, Miss,” William said with a nod. “But I'd better not go home with a face like that. Thomas would definitely be noisier and he definitely could not be prevented from telling mister.”

Lisle's eyes did look red and swollen. It was clear that she had been crying.

“Maybe Miss wants to go somewhere first?” William proposes.

After thinking for a moment, Lisle finally decided, “I want to go to my apartment first. I can take my things.”

William nodded. “Good, Miss,” he said as he started running the car.

Meanwhile, in an invisible corner of the campus, someone had watched as Lisle and Ralph left the campus. That person looked at Lisle with eyes filled with hatred and jealousy.
