The Woman Ruler of the Altan Clan

The Woman Ruler of the Altan Clan
Chapter 93 The Power of the Poison Absorber

After looking at his lover with a sad look, Khan left Shanum's nursery. He came out of the room and did not realize that in the shadows there was someone who loved him.

Someone came out as soon as Khan closed the door. Someone approached Shanum and grinned widely. "Hello Beautiful, we meet again. Too bad you're short. Though I am a little interested in you, and intend to take you from Khan Adrian. You shouldn't have to sacrifice your life for that damned man. What a vain act" whispered the figure.

The figure spoke for itself, as if Shanum could hear his words. Smiling at him approaching, his long robe raised a swish sound in the room. The robe was pitch-black, following the black mask covering his face, the figure looked mysterious and sinister.

He slowly leaned his masked face towards Shanum's body. Then inhaled the fragrance of Shanum's body with his eyes closed and his face looked up.

He reopened his eyes and looked at Shanum's face with a fixed look. At once he fell silent, then slowly directed his fingers as he rubbed Shanum's cheeks, down to his gently split sweet chin. Then he rubbed the girl's pale lips.

The figure sighed loudly. "You still feel sweet, even though you're dying, beautiful" she whispered.

Then he lifted his body back up. He smiled happily. I waited for the precious moment when Khan Adrian saw your death. That would be so much fun. I like that.

The man lifted his robe, made a special gesture and disappeared from the room leaving a trail of dark-colored mist.

In the next room, Khan sat on the bed staring ahead. Many words resonated in his mind, and he was forced to face the harsh reality, he would not be able to save his lover from the clutches of death. As time goes on, a one-month deadline approaches, while there is no good news about the antidote.

Khan had no idea how long Shanum could last. And he felt despair begin to approach him and take all the optimism he had.

Suppose there is a speck of hope, he is willing to do whatever he can to get the antidote. Even to the end of the world he will support it. And if he had to separate from Shanum, he would have tried to accept it.

So many ifs so many possibilities. Shanum's departure is tantamount to killing him, but for the sake of his lover, for the sake of the girl's recovery, Khan will do everything he needs only a chance.

Khan went downstairs and entered the dining room. He found the waiters preparing the dinner table for breakfast. He did indeed descend too quickly into the dining room from the usual breakfast time.

One of the servants immediately greeted him respectfully. The servant woman asked what Khan wanted to enjoy first. Khan seemed to think for a moment, then he asked for a cup of unsweetened coffee and a sandwich sandwich filled with bacon.

Khan sat in a chair waiting for his coffee and breakfast order. Still thinking of a way out to save Shanum.

Breakfast was done automatically just to fill his stomach. After his entire breakfast ran out, he immediately returned to Shanum's nursery and sat down on one of the chairs in the room.

He spends all day working on his tablet or talking on his phone with his assistants. Khan actually did his activities while guarding Shanum. And as usual, Shanum's parents were also in the room to take care of their daughter.

Dimas, Shanum's father, never asked him to speak again. He spoke only to his wife. And usually, Raisa, Shanumah's mother who occasionally invites Khan to talk. It is possible to kill the silence in grief that is increasingly suffocating in every day.

As the day wore on, the realization that Shanum had not yet gotten a cure and would reach a tipping point further hurt Khan.

How could he possibly face it?

Although the topic was never far from his mind, he tried not to think about it. Khan still hopes mukzijat will approach them.

On the twentieth night, an unexpected woman came to them. That woman is Chinua. The woman came accompanied by Dario. Khan knows, Dario adored Chinua a long time ago. And to what extent their current relationship is, Khan doesn't want to interfere too much.

If they can unite, Khan will be happy for his best friend. Thankfully, the woman finally changed herself to be more human. Hopefully with patience and love from Dario, Chinua will become a better person.

Chinua greeted everyone in the ward with a polite nod and smiled faintly. The woman approached the bed and without permission immediately opened the bandage on Shanum's shoulder, she examined the entire wound carefully. Then Chinua closed his eyes, he scanned with his palm. A blue light shimmered in Shanum's wound.

After a while, Chinua opened her eyes again. He circulated a glance towards Khan and Shanum's two old men. His forehead is deep.

"Is there a problem?" khan asked with a slightly worried face.

Chinua looked confused. "Shanum was exposed not only to poison but also to black magic. And strangely the black magic could not move anywhere. The magic seemed to be stuck in one place alone, so as not to harm his body."

"Caught how?" sahut Dimas, Shanum's father. The man waited for Chinua's reply with the same misgivings as Khan earlier.

"The black magic seemed to be unable to move because there was a force holding it back," Chinua replied.

"What about the poison? Can you cure him?" khan urged with a hopeful face.

"It looks like Shanum's body is still trying to counteract the effects of the poison. He's so strong, I'm surprised he's been able to survive this long. And to be able to cure it I can't." Chinua moved away from the bed, then sat on the bench Dario had taken for him.

Khan's face turned cloudy. He had hoped Chinua could treat Shanum. The woman also had healing magic like Shanum.

"But I know how to help him neutralize the poison" Chinua said.

Khan immediately turned his head quickly and said, "You know, tell me quickly," he urged.

Chinua looked at Khan doubtfully. "But I'm not sure Shanum will be able to get it anytime soon."

"Don't test my patience, Chinua!" Khan gritted his jaws in annoyance.

Suddenly the door opened. They turned their heads and found Eej coming into the room with breathless breaths.

"Has Shanum's condition become critical?" ask the woman suddenly.

Silent.

Khan cleared his throat. "No. He's still in the same condition as before."

Eej took a long breath. "Thank God then. I haven't found a way to save his life from the poison."

"It just so happens that we are discussing it right now, Eej," Khan said.

"Do you know the antidote?" ask the woman again.

"Then say." Eej directed his gaze to Chinua's face. The woman looks nervous. And all of them who were waiting for Chinua's answer also looked uneasy.

Chinua smiled. "I just wanted to say it, but it was cut off by your arrival." Chinua sighed deeply. "He can be healed by someone who has the power of the Poison Absorber."

Ejur frowned. "Does anyone have that kind of power?" The woman's face showed all her doubts.

"There, I'm a witness to his life" Chinua replied back. The woman removed her hand from Dario's grip. Then she pulled her skirt slightly up, and on the calf to the right of the woman was a scar with purple patches.

"The Devil Helmet's poison still left marks on the body. But no need to worry, the color pattern does not contain danger."

"Continue the story" said Eej again. The woman looked at Chinua with a curious expression.

"I was once exposed to the same poison as Shanum, and was able to recover. Because there's a Poison Absorber helping me. When Dario told me about Shanum's situation I immediately tried to find the person. But unfortunately I didn't find him, he had already left his last residence and we lost track of him."

Eej laughed lightly when he heard Chinua's words. "If it's so easy, we'll just find someone else who has that power."

Chinua smiled. "That's what I tried, too. But until now it had not been able to find anyone who possessed such power. It turned out that power was extremely rare, even rarer than an Empath."

"That means we're back to a dead end" Eej sighed. His face was not happy.

"If we could find the person who has that power what should he do to Shanum?" Suddenly Khan threw another question that astonished everyone who was there.

"The person has to do the skin-to-skin cuddling process with Shanum for three days in a row" Chinua replied.

Everyone in the room looked shocked. "You mean, gotta..."

Eej could not continue his words. The woman's face suddenly turned red.

"What does 'skin to skin' mean?" raisa asked with a confused face. He circulated his gaze, and grew even more astonished when he saw that everyone who was there had suddenly become misbehaved.

The sound of silence was heard from beside Raisa. "Let me explain to my wife." Dimas then approached his wife's ear and spoke slowly. Raisa's face flushed red, she now understood the meaning of the word she asked earlier, and now she was the one who followed the other's infected behavior.

"Is there no other way?" Khan actually did not want to follow the flow of conversation about this 'skin to skin. This conversation revealed too much intimate information that he did not want to happen to his lover.

Chinua shook her head. "That's the only way to neutralize the Devil Helmets poison. From the information I got, each type of poison has its own characteristics. And the handling must also be different."

"How do you know that's the way that the man who helped you used it. Aren't you unconscious at the time?" Eej again chimed in on Chinua's explanation with a suspicious face.

"The healing process was witnessed by one of my female servants. If you don't believe me I can bring him here and explain to you what happened back then." Chinua raised his eyebrows, seemingly challenging Eej's suspicions.

"Fortunately the one who helped me was a woman. If he was a man, maybe after I realized, I would just kill him without a second thought" he said with a flat face.

"This woman, did she tell you about her characteristic strength?" khan asked, getting curious.

Chinua looked at Khan with a laughable expression. "Why are you so curious about that power, Khan. Shouldn't we be looking for someone who has that power?"

"Tell me so I can better confirm the person who has that power."

Chinua seemed to think for a moment. "It seems that the woman once said that she can recover quickly from the effects of poison, because her body can neutralize any kind of poison. He will be sick at first, but the pain will not be life-threatening. The reaction was more to the adjustments made by his body to the poison. If he were exposed to the same poison again, then his body would recognize, and would not cause any meaningful effect in his body."

Khan froze, then sat down. "It seems I know who can cure Shanum" Khan said, smiling nervously.

Eej. A face of shock was seen on his expression, as if he also had the same thoughts as his son.

"You know what?" Chinua tilted his head towards Khan. As well as Dimas, he raised his eyebrows, his eyes emitting a sharp expression towards Khan.

"That is you, the Great One," said Dario interjecting with a face of admiration. "For all this time you always recover quickly if exposed to any poison. We never suspected him, because we thought you were the one with the powerful magic. But it turns out that behind our wrong estimate, you have a rare special power in your body."

"Wow," Chinua said in amazement. "So all this time you've been hiding that rare power in your body, it's Khan."

Khan sighs. "Yes. I myself did not know that this power turned out to be very meaningful," he replied in a low voice.

"Then all the problems are solved. You just have to do 'skin to skin' with Shanum and he will recover soon" Chinua said in a relaxed tone of voice.

Hearing Chinua's words, there was a funny furore in the room.

Eej's mouth gaped wide, looking shocked.

Raisa's face, Shanum's mother paled.

Dario smiled amusedly while shaking his head.

And Dimas, Shanum's father tightened his jaw hard.

Khan who heard this gulped his saliva with great difficulty. He felt his chest being pounded strongly. And his blood warmed. The desire to complete the pair bond in his soul suddenly wanted to escape.

Khan held him back. However, he did not want to get out of control. It was not the time to do that, while her lover was lying dying. The priority now is to save the girl first.

However, Khan also did not know if he could still survive if later had to do such intimate acts with Shanum. And more importantly, was she allowed to do 'skin to skin' with Shanum by the girl's parents.

Seeing from Shanum's current creepy father's expression, Khan doubted he would be approved to do the deed.
