The Woman Ruler of the Altan Clan

The Woman Ruler of the Altan Clan
Chapter 34 Wants to Forget

Shanum woke up, he woke up on a beautiful white bed, somewhere that looks all white, without borders, covered in fog. The girl even wears white clothes. Is this heaven? If this is heaven, then he is dead.

No, even though upon hearing Khan's lies it felt like his heart had stopped beating, Shanum was still not ready to leave this world. He moved his eyes around the room. Everything seemed to be faintly covered in mist. I don't understand why he's here. And what is this place exactly? It is as if reality is mixed with dreams.

Shanum got up, he began to fumble around him. The white fog moved following him. He tried to feel the wall of the room, and found a cold hard patch on his palm. Shanum frowned. If the walls of the room were cold, why didn't Shanum feel cold?

Shanum continued walking while continuing to stick his hand against the wall. Expect to find a crack or door to get out of this foggy room.

Shanum decided that he hated white. The mist. And the constantly changing space of motion that made him not know if he was walking around in circles or not.

When he had to concentrate just to be able to set one foot in front of the other, Shanum almost groaned with frustration. This journey seems endless. He was lost, with no way out of the fog. It was like walking with blind eyes.

Suddenly the girl stopped walking. He felt something approaching. He did not want to think about what might be lurking behind the fog.

Shanum closed his eyes, trying to concentrate. Summoning his power to get him out of that foggy room.

"You won't be able to get out of here with your strength, Your Majesty." Shanum opened his eyes when he heard a voice. He was relieved to hear a voice speaking to him. Because there's a voice means there's people, and that's a sign there's hope to get out of here.

Shanum was struck when a woman shook off the mist and appeared before him. He shuddered, startled by the terrible irony, as the woman who disappeared inside Ger while in Sarai Batu town reappeared. I think that's impossible.

"What's up, Your Majesty?" The woman smiled. She has a round Asian face with a small nose and fair yellow skin. His black net really astonished Shanum, it was as if it was storing boundless wisdom.

"Who exactly are you? And why are you here?" tanyakanya. The woman sighed then stepped closer to Shanum. The girl retreated, afraid to approach her.

"Don't be afraid, I won't hurt you." He then swung his hand and a beautiful white sofa appeared before them. "Oh, don't be white anymore" Shanum said. "You don't like white? Want another color, just tell me?"

"I'm just sick of white dominating here. If you can, it can be brown, please," Shanum's pinta. "Your word will be done, Your Majesty." The sofa suddenly changed color to golden light brown. Suddenly he remembered the color of Khan's eyes. "Oh, no.." muttered Shanum.

The woman smiled mysteriously. "You must love this color, Your Majesty." Shanum stared intently at the woman, why did her words feel so hard on her heart. But Shanum looked unconcerned, he went straight to the sofa, and sat there.

The woman finally followed Shanum, coming to sit beside him. Shanum squinted his eyes, seemingly judging the woman beside him. "So, who are you?" ask Shanum again. He smiled again and said, "I am one of the people who are waiting for you."

"You mean?" shanum asked, frowning. Confusion struck the girl.

"My name is Nekhii."

"You're an angel or a demon?"

The woman chuckled amusedly. "Not both."

"So you're just like me?"

"Yes." Yeah."

"Well, which clan are you from? Because I know you're definitely not a human being."

"Klan Altan," Nekhii replied with a faint smile.

Shanum clenched his jaw, hearing the name of the clan called, his heart suddenly felt hot.

"I know you're disappointed in the Great One, Your Majesty. Please forgive him."

Shanum grunts. "What was that liar who told you to come here? How cowardly he is" he said with annoyance. The woman shook her head.

"The Great does not know, even now he is panicking because he is worried about you."

"Huh, it's impossible. I doubt it" said Shanum ketus.

" He had a reason for his actions. You have to trust him, Your Majesty." Shanum looked bellowed while clucking in annoyance.

Then his eyes stared intently at Nekhii. "Why do you always call me that name?"

"Because you're our future queen."

Shanum was flabbergasted to hear his words. The girl laughed out loud. For Shanum it felt ridiculous.

"Your words are funny."

"I'm not kidding, Your Majesty."

"Stop, just call Shanum. I am not your queen and will never be queen to that man. So don't call me that."

The woman breathed her breath. Then he raised his hand. Nekhii rubbed Shanum's cheek. The girl's eyes were patterned, she felt a soothing warmth flowing from Nekhii's hands. I don't know why he felt like he was coming home. Oh, Shanum misses his mother.

"I can't treat the wound in your heart, Shanum. Ii'm sorry. Nor is it the wound of the Great. He even felt a much deeper pain. If you want to know, you can ask him."

"Just talk about the man, Nekhii. I don't want to hear it anymore." Shanum clenched his hands in his lap.

"All is doomed, Shanum. Only the girl who has the blood of the four clans is our Great One's soul mate." There was a pause, Nekhii then pulled his hand. He got up from his seat and stared at the fog before him.

"I can change that fate, because I'm not the girl in question" Shanum whispered. Nekhii looked over, then smiled.

"One day you will know" he replied calmly. "Maybe yes, maybe not" Shanum replied.

"Em, Nekhii, where am I right now?" Shanum tried to divert the conversation.

"You're in a vacuum in your mind."

Shanum frowned. "You mean?"

"You avoid the pain you feel and isolate yourself somewhere inside of you. Only you can decide to get out of here or not" Nekhii said.

"So I can get out of here?"

Nekhii nodded his head. Shanum stood up and looked around.

"How is it? I can't find the exit." Nekhii kept smiling in response.

"My coming is only to help you find your destiny. I told you before at Sarai Batu. Tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift, love is eternity. Always listen to your heart, never look away" he said. Then Nekhii disappeared, and so did his sofa.

"Oh no, Nekhii. Don't go!" shanum shouted as he swung his hand forward wanting to grab the woman. But he just grabbed empty air. The foggy room remained silent. Only the sound of his breathing was heard. Suddenly Shanum was tired of all these complicated puzzles and tired of all this pain.

For an uncertain time, Shanum recalled Nekhii's words about only he could find the exit. Shanum then lowered his posture, he sat on the floor. The girl folded her legs in a cross-legged position. Shanum closed his eyes, and began to concentrate. He caught his breath and emptied his mind.

Shanum did not realize that slowly the fog began to thin, the wall behind him seemed to disappear. Calmness began to flood her mind. Shanum slowly accepted all of his pain, and dared to admit it.

Shanum blinked, he felt something clutching his body tightly. He woke up in someone's warm embrace. The girl held her dizzy forehead, then blinked her eyes. Slowly he looked for the face of the person who had already hugged him, and saw the handsome face of Khan was sound asleep.

The girl felt a storm of pain crashing down on her heart. Until his chest feels tight, and his tears are threatened to spill back. "Oh my God, he's been trying to put a damper on her. But the wound is still unbearable" he said in his heart. Shanum tried to release the man's hand on his body. But the winding did not budge. Shanum began to increase his strength, to make his breath hunt.

Khan awakens due to Shanum's efforts. The man blinked his eyes. He still felt a rough movement on his body. All he remembered last time was that he was trying to make Shanum aware. After trying without success he felt sleepy, then went up to the bed. And looked at Shanum's face while rubbing the girl's cheek. He even did an embarrassing deed. Khan gently kissed the girl's lips. Hoping that with her kiss, she would wake up.

The doctor called Khan said based on the examination of GCS (Glasgow Coma Scale), Shanum only fainted. Khan remains anxious. The girl hadn't been conscious for ten hours. Taban contacted him about Shanum's condition, and Khan decided to return to the mansion.

"Shasha" whispered Khan. Shanum pulled a pillow and clasped in front of his chest, as if it was void it could fortify him from Khan. He brushed off the hand of the man who was about to grab her. Khan's face looked sad. "Don't be like this to me, Shasha. Ii'm sorry. I didn't mean to lie to you, there's a reason."

"I don't want to hear it." Shanum covered his ears with both palms, and while looking down he shook his head. "Shaa." Khan again tried to grab Shanum's hand. The man's hand managed to hold his hand. Shanum jerks. "Don't touch me, and you better go. I don't want to see your face anymore. Go!" growled Shanum. He gave an evictive hand gesture to Khan.

Khan pulled his hand. His face looks tired and grim. The man looked wounded hearing Shanum's expulsion. "No. We'll keep talking..."

"You'd better go, sir. Please give him time" Farah interrupted Khan's remarks. He stood in front of the room door. Khan was unaware if they saw the scene. "Sorry, Sir. But Farah said it right. You have to leave Shanum, he just realized. If you love her, let her rest" Taban said.

Khan closed his eyes, trying to quell the sadness and anger that controlled his heart. His eyes opened again and looked teary. "All right, I'll get out of here" he told Taban and Shanum's two best friends. The man turned back to Shanum. "I can't let you go, Shasha. It will never be. And I won't let you in even if you try." Khan's face was full of emotion while he clenched his hands tightly.

Then Khan came out of that room. In the corner of the bed was the sound of sobs. The voice came from Shanum. Farah and Diva immediately rushed up to him. They saw the girl's messy face. Her eyes were full of tears, her nose was flushed red and her face seemed to endure the pain. Farah had never seen the feeling of being crushed on Shanum's face until like this. Although Shanum has often experienced pain due to his nightmares.

"Sha, we're here. That guy won't be able to bother you. I'll make sure of it" whispered Diva. Shanum looked at the faces of his two best friends. "Please get me out of here" he asked. The two of them glanced at Taban. The man nodded his head while smiling stiffly. Then Diva smiled, she looked back towards Shanum. "Yes, Sha. Let's get out of here" said Diva. "I'll call Tim and Ula too" Farah said.

Four hours later, they were in the hotel. Tim and Ula soon arrive when Farah contacts them. Taban helped prepare for the departure of the three girls. The man was not afraid of Khan's anger at allowing them to get out of the mansion. He knew, Khan would continue to urge Shanum, and he didn't want the girl to get more depressed over it. Shanum once healed Taban's wound, and he owes it to him.

For one week in the hotel Shanum still makes people around him anxious. Diva, Farah, Tim and Ula were very anxious at lunch on Thursday. They went to the city's famous Russian restaurant, and the four of them tried hard to make him laugh and be happy.

Shanum does have fun, as he likes to spend time with the four of them, and doesn't like to see anxiety in their eyes. But there was a hole in Shanum that could not be covered with anything. Every day the girl told herself that she was not waiting for news from Khan, but when she got on the bed at night, she cried herself to sleep because the day ended without any news from her.

Shanum spent the rest of his days in the city slowly. He forced himself to follow the events that Tim and Ula had arranged. The two became very close to them at this moment. Especially Ula, she often invites Shanum to exchange ideas. The man turned out to be a fun talking friend. Ula admits that she also has magic. And he apologized for leaking Shanum's hideout to Khan.

Shanum only smiled faintly in response to Ula's remark. He no longer disputes it. Because without Ula telling me, the man will sooner or later find them. No one can hide from a Khan Adrian, who has power.

That night Ula invited them to dinner at a restaurant in the City Embankment. But Shanum's two best friends refused. They are too tired after a day of shopping, and want to eat in the room only. Shanum could not bear to see Ula's disappointed face, so he was willing to accept her invitation.

They walked along the City Embankment. Lights seemed to illuminate along the embankment in that place. "You like being here, Shanum?" ask Ula. "Yes, I like it." Shanum smiled. Ula smiled back. "I'm thrilled. At first I wasn't too sure. You don't look enthusiastic, especially as long as you're out of that mansion."

"I'm sorry. I just had a bad incident." Shanum tried to be indifferent. "It's hard for me to feel happy about something right now, even though I really like it. This trip is one of them."

"I'm concerned to hear you're going through something bad with Khan" she said, her dark eyes warm and sympathetic. "Yes. I'm also." Shanum observed Ula. This man is quite handsome as well if noticed according to Shanum.

Roman's face was slender with high cheekbones and a large nose, but not overdone. His forehead is wide and his lips thin. But it is a charming matanyah, narrow-shaped, brown with a deep black circle that surrounds it. The eyes can cause a different reaction. It depends on the mood of the owner, and currently Ula is looking at Shanum with a warm look full of friendship.

"You know Shanum, I've always felt that I've known you. It's getting real more and more." Ula said while sniffing her shoulders. Shanum chuckles amusedly. "Of course you know me, Ula, I've been in town for almost three months, and we've met a lot."

"It's not like that I mean, Shanum." Ula rolled her eyeballs. Then the man laughed a little. They returned to walk while enjoying the beautiful atmosphere along the embankment. The Volga River looks beautiful, many people pass by beside them.

Shanum then saw a boy-shaped statue looking down and doing something. He scrunched his forehead. "While doing what the boy statue is?" ask Shanum. "He's a shoeshine boy" the man replied. "A shoemaker boy," he murmured. Shanum approached the statue and squatted down, he rubbed the statue. Then he gasped.

"What's wrong?" ask Ula. Shanum looked at his bloody hand. "Em, it looks like I rubbed a sharp field on one of the statues." Ula pulls Shanum's hand and is shocked. He froze staring at the petal-shaped birthmark on Shanum's palm, and moved backwards. The grip on the girl's palm automatically slipped off.

The man looked at Shanum with a strange look. Shanum was afraid to see the affectionate face that was seen on the man. Ula then stepped forward while Shanum stepped back. "Colorize. You're back," he murmured. Shanum didn't know what to say to it. The tension between them was so stifling that Shanum had difficulty breathing.

Shanum retreated to the edge of the embankment and his hip hit the guardrail. All around them suddenly looked quiet. The people who swarmed and passed by were no longer visible.

"Why did you run, Sintai? Did you forget about me?" tanyakanya. Shanum gulped. His tongue suddenly fell. He could not say a single word.

Shanum rubbed his tense stomach. What can he say? That the man was hallucinating so that he mistakenly recognized people. He Shanum is not Sarni.

"Why, Coloring? You suddenly just disappeared, I've been looking for you for hundreds of years." Oh no, Ula apparently knew Sintai. Shanum turned his head, looking for someone who could be called for help.

Ula lunges forward and catches Shanum's arm, surprising him, momentarily scaring him with her aggressive movements. If he had not been pressed on the edge of the embankment, another step with the lip of the river, Shanum might have slammed this man to the ground.

"I'm worried, Sintai. You owe me an explanation" he said. "I'm not..." Ula then hugged Shanum gently. By the time the girl realized what was happening, she tightened her grip. Shanum couldn't pull himself away, couldn't push him away.

And for a second, Shanum didn't want to do it. He even returned his embrace, Shanum felt the peace of being in this man's arms, easing something that hurt inside him. Ula let go of her embrace, and Shanum pulled away while gasping.

He saw Khan who was running fast, he did not slow down his speed while he hit Ula and dropped him.

Shanum staggered back because of the impact, crashing into the dike guardrail. His back hurt because it hit the iron fence. Shanum gripped tightly against the iron fence, keeping his body balanced so as not to fall into the river.

The two men fell into the conblock with a loud bang. Someone shouted. Women scream. Shanum can't do anything. He stood stunned and silent, various emotions struggling within him.

Khan strangled Ula and punched her ribs hard over and over again. He looked cold, calm, stiff and unstoppable. Ula groaned with each blow and tried to break free.

"Stop, Sir!"

Shanum covered his mouth with his fingers when Taban appeared. He leapt forward, reaching Khan, but staggered back as Ula rolled to the side and the two men rolled together.

The atmosphere that had been quiet became suddenly crowded, seen swarming around where they were fighting. Dario and Khan's bodyguards appeared and said a speech Shanum did not understand. Then the crowd dispersed. Although the fight between the two men still happened.

Ula manages to break away, jumps to her feet, and pushes Khan to the other side. Khan knitted his hand and hit Ula's back, forcing Ula away. Ula retorted, she flicked her fists, her arm muscles stretching as her fists clenched, but Khan dodged smoothly and retaliated with a punch under Ula's chin that sent Ula's head jolting backwards.

Oh myGod.

Khan made no sound, neither when he attacked nor when Ula landed a direct blow to his jaw. The anger looks terrible. Shanum could feel the anger boiling within him, seeing it in his eyes, but he remained in control.
