The Woman Ruler of the Altan Clan

The Woman Ruler of the Altan Clan
Chapter 38 Advice to Father

When they finally reached the homeland, the three seemed happy. The journey home is not as exhausting as the departure to Astrakhan. Flying on a private plane is very convenient. Being in the air feels like home.

With the exception of Diva, she still felt airsickness. But Sergei never let go of paying attention to Diva. Shanum was happy to see the two seem to get along. Farah was also already not too hostile towards that man.

"Princess..."

The sound almost made him fall to his knees in shock. Shanum was stunned, seeing his father and mother not far from him. The girl's eyes began to tear. He immediately stepped quickly, until finally a little run towards the two.

"Dad... Mum..." The girl laughed while sobbing. He flew into the arms of the two. Shanum really misses them. "Hey, look at me." Dimas, his father, stared at his beloved daughter. She rubbed her hair affectionately, and smiled gently. While Raisa, the mother, seemed to smile while wiping tears in the corner of her eyes.

"Father's son looks different. Hmm, what's different?" goda. Dad held his chin pretending to examine the girl's face. A mischievous smile rose on his lips. Shanum smiled again while crying.

"Don't cry, Princess. It's gonna be ugly, it's got a red nose, and it's got eyes like clowns." I wiped the tears from her cheeks. Shanum shook his head while choking on laughter.

"Well, so dong," said Dimas softly. Shanum looked at his father's face and his mother's face. Oh my gosh, this is the unexpected thing Shanum expected. His father and mother stood there in their happy faces when they saw him. "Here you go, let's go to your friends' place. They've been waiting."

"In a moment, I also want to hug Mom's favorite. It was less." Shanum went straight into his mother's arms. Raisa clutched tightly to her daughter while rubbing her back. "Mothers... Shanum kangen."

"Oh, so same Dad doesn't miss ya." The girl took off her mother's embrace. "Yes no, Shanum misses you both" he replied, turning his lips.

While embracing the two, Shanum approached his companions. They were all waiting inside the airport's executive lounge. Waiting for Sergei who was still busy taking care of some arrival documents.

"Dad you know I'm here?" ask Shanum. "Dad called you. But since I didn't pick up, I called one of your best friends." Farah smiled smirk towards Shanum. "Oh Dad called Farah. Yes, so Shanum was confused, not to mention Dad. Uh, the guy showed up here."

"Your father was as usual full of spirit. When I got the call, and you said you were on the plane to the house, just excited to pick you up, ", said Raisa.

"Like you not only, from this morning was busy cooking Shanum's favorite food," ledek father. "Laa, naturally dong, his son wants to go home today," replied the mother with a laugh. Shanum smiled happily at their loving debate.

"Well, hi..." Sergei greeted Shanum's parents while smiling politely. He held out his hand to shake his hand. Shanum's mother was choked when she saw Sergei. Her eyes widened. While his father glanced at his mother and looked riled up. Dimas looked unhappy at the mother's expression.

Sergei pulled back his hand, he smiled as he grimaced. "Dad-Mother, this is Sergei. He was a kind man who led us all the way here. Dad frowned. "So he's not Khan. The one who helped you drown?" ask dad.

"Em, no" Shanum replied. The atmosphere looks awkward. Sergei cleared his throat and said, "On behalf of Khan, I apologize, sir. He's idle, so I'll take his place to drive them." Sergei helped answer. Dimas looked at the man before him and seemed to judge him.

"You ready Khan?" ask the father with squeaking eyes. Shanum rolled his eyeballs. "Dad.." reprimanded Shanum. Sergei smiled understandably, he understood this man before him was just acting as a father guarding his beloved daughter.

"Dad, he's a good guy. He has helped me a lot" Shanum whispered. Dimas looked at his daughter, and finally stumbled. "Alright, thank you for your help" Dimas said. "You are welcome, sir." Sergei smiled as he nodded his head.

"By the way your parents came here, didn't they Diva-Farah?" ask Shanum. Both nod. "Okay then, we wait for the arrival of your two friends' parents." I called the waiter there and ordered coffee.

Mom approached Shanum and poked him. "Honey, that guy is he a famous artist? His face and hair that makes your heart want to be dislodged." he asked while occasionally glancing at Sergei. Shanum smiled amusedly. The charm of the man cannot be rejected by the women. Young or old, everyone was amazed to see the angel's face.

"He's not an artist, Mommy. Her job..." Shanum was confused explaining the man's work. Because he also did not really understand about the work of a tracker in their world.

"Maybe an entrepreneur. Because he's got a private plane, ma'am." Mom's eyes are breaking. "You mean the plane you were on was his?" Shanum nodded.

"Well, a sultan turns out," said the mother in awe. "Em, not so anyway, ma'am." Raisa frowned. "Mom meant for the term, not literally."

"There's actually still a richer one, Auntie. That's Khan, he's a millionaire." said Farah. The girl eavesdropped on their conversation. Raisa seemed interested. "Oh yeah, this millionaire guy helped Shanum drown, right?" tanyanya.

"Yes, Aunt. Even that guy is the one..." Shanum elbowed Farah's waist while glaring. Shanum's mother raised her eyebrows. Farah gulped. He almost told Shanum's mother the truth about Khan boycotting their return. "We meant to stay at the man's house, Mom," Shanum said quickly. Farah nodded while grimacing.

"Well, that's Farah's parents and Diva has come" said the father. Farah looked relieved, she managed to get out of the tense situation earlier. Excuse me for approaching his parents. The two girls also cried while hugging their parents.

Shanum frowned when he saw Sergei move stiffly towards the Diva's parents. The man looked nervous, although a smile could not be separated from his lips. He spoke to the two with doubt. Shanum's lips slowly flickered, he understood... From the look in Sergei's eyes revealed that the man was afraid that the two of them would judge him badly on the first impression.

Although Shanum was convinced, Sergei and his million charms were able to make a Wow first impression. Proved from the stunned view of Diva's mother, like the behavior of her own mother earlier when she saw the man. As for Diva's father, her face remained as friendly as ever. Maybe because Diva's father was used to seeing the faces of European men, like himself who came from England.

Finally they came out of the Executive Lounge, to return to their respective homes. While Sergei, he will still live in Indonesia within a week. He continued his journey to Bali. He wanted to rest a while there. And the three girls did not forget to thank the man, and planned to meet again at a later time.

Next day. Shanum woke up inside his room with a confused face. He rubbed his face, and looked at the ceiling of his room. He forgot that he was back home. This room feels foreign. I don't know why he felt that. He has occupied this room since childhood.

The sound of knocking on the door, breaking his daydream. "Non, this is Bi Inah. May Aunt come in." Shanum moved up from the top of the bed. He went to the door and opened the lock. Bi Inah's face is seen in her eye pelupuk. The woman smiled sweetly. "Welcome back home, Non. Auntie's delivering her breakfast. Mother said, Non asked for breakfast delivered to the room only."

"Yes, Bi. Just put it on the table yeah, and thank you," Shanum said. Bi Inah nodded her head and put Shanum's breakfast on the study table in the room. Then he came out of Shanum's room and closed the door again.

As he was not recalling all the things Khan had said or done, he looked back, with a perfect review, on all the clues that should have told him he was wrong.

He should have given the man a chance to explain, but since he was only concerned with his ego, everything became so messy. Shanum now regrets everything, when it happened.

God, how many nights did he go through without being able to fall asleep, staring at the ceiling, wondering what if he gave the man a chance? Is it true what he said in those messages? Is he currently selecting a candidate?

It was a question that gnawed at him, and several times Shanum thought of picking up the phone and contacting the man. But he didn't do it. First of all she did not feel like a confident young girl like before, as she went to Astrakhan.

No, she felt like a pitiful girl who desperately depended on a fantasy and many foolish dreams contained a handsome prince who fell in love with her. While in the photo in the news he saw, the woman who was at the party with Khan was beautiful. If juxtaposed with him, he is like a figure of ash in a fairy tale.

Perhaps the worst of it all is that he has to admit that he has been living in a dream world. From the age of seventeen she was already in a nightmare and her own little world.

All of this made him very depressed and lost his way. Although her father and mother always gave her support and affection, it was still in the smallest corner of her heart, fear.

As well as he felt now, he was afraid of being rejected by the man. He's such a coward. He misses that guy very much. He wanted to hear even if it was just his voice.

That night, his father and mother invited him to speak in the living room. It seemed like they wanted to know what made their daughter shut herself in the room, only coming out when absolutely necessary. Even his best friends, who might be able to harbor in the middle of a storm, lost patience and stopped contacting him.

The last message from Farah was very cold: "Listen, I've tried to contact you. You have to move on with your life. You should've gone back to college and worked on your script. Don't let the remnants of Astrakhan rule over you. You have to move on with your life."

"So what really happened, Princess?" Dad looked at Shanum while folding both his hands on his chest. He sat on a sofa. Mom sat next to him. Shanum gulped his saliva, nervous.

"Is something wrong, baby?" ask mom gently. "No," he answered quickly, and shook his head. "Just..." The phone cut out whatever he said, and Shanum could be said to be gesturing with his hand.

"Before Father-Mother" he said, and took the cell phone out of his pocket. "Hallo?" answer with breath. "Oh. Yeah, hi, Ula. I'm sorry, I was just a little curious about the situation there. No news from him?" Shanum bit his lip, and immediately his face turned disappointed. He stepped to the front of the window, and turned his back on his father and mother. "No, it's okay. Thanks for the information." Shanum turned off his phone and then he turned around.

Dad raised his eyebrows. Still sitting in the same position. "Who is that?" ask father. "The weird name you call Ula. Was he the one who made you turn into a recluse like this?"

"No, Dad," Shanum sighed as he took another chair and sat down before them. "Friends only."

"Oh yes" said his father. Then squinted his eyes. As if I suspected the answer. But finally his father breathed. He smiled gently at Shanum.

"I'm sorry if you've been overprotective. All right if you don't want to share your secrets it's okay. Mom and Dad will leave you alone." Dad got ready to get up from his seat.

Shanum. God, who is this man sitting in front of him? He is now changing his attitude to be uncharacteristic. "Okay," he said seriously, "where's my dad?"

"Here, dear."

"No, you're not him. My father never took no for an answer from me without explanation. He'll definitely keep looking at me with those entrapping questions, so I confess."

"Ah, Princess," said her father, stopping for a moment. "You're getting older, and I only realized it when you got back from your vacation. Something has changed for you. Maybe you didn't say it, but your little heart knows."

Shanum stared at his father. Then he looked at his mother. Raisa nodded and smiled slightly at the girl. His eyes began to glaze over, yet he still held her back. He could no longer cover it. "Alright, Mothers. I'll tell you."

Shanum twirled the ring on his finger and started telling stories. From the beginning of his encounter with Khan, as he sinks, their relationship, to the last time when he runs away from the man.

His father accepted everything calmly, Shanum had to admit it. There was a burst of fatherly fury at first, but then his father laughed at his success in breaking away from the man, nodding his agreement that he was doing something right.

After he finished with all his stories, his father looked sighed. Then he suddenly straightened his seat, resting his elbow on his feet so that he could focus his attention on it. His father's eyes narrowed as he watched him.

"Dad never. For dad you're so pretty. You have a light coming from somewhere inside you. You have to be brave and confident, honey. Never assume anything uncertain."

Dad rubbed his hair. "You're amazing, son. I didn't expect my daughter to have the power, and it was passed down from my own bloodline. And about that guy. Remember Dad's message that if he doesn't respect you and goes after you means he's not good enough for you. Leave a guy like that, you're too good for a guy like him." I looked at Mom and held her hand.

"Like Dad who kept chasing after your mom, even though he already had a boyfriend." Mom rolled her eyeballs. "Yes, right. Your father clings to Mom shamelessly, despite being rejected so many times."

Shanum chuckles amusedly. "Oww, Shanum just found out. Turns out Dad was a fighter. And I inherited the blood of this warrior from my father" Shanum said. Dad laughed out loud. "It's so thick." Dimas' face looks proud.

"Now, Mother's beloved can be cheerful again dong," Mom's fishing rod. Shanum smiled and nodded. "Well, that's just Dad and Mom's son. And if Daddy's daughter is a brave warrior, you have to face her, son. Don't avoid him if he calls you."

Shanum smiled faintly at the two. He had to be brave, he had to face this difficult situation strongly. They talked until his father and mother looked tired.

Before saying good night, her father pulled her into a tight hug, grabbed her and peeked at the top of her head. "Mom and Dad love you, Princess. More than you know," he said. His eyes became teary, but Shanum smiled. "I love you too, Mom and Dad."
