The meeting passed in greatness, mostly filled about discussions concerning a group of people with black magic, who were responsible for Khan's burns. Sintai heard from reliable sources that they were targeting Khan.
Throughout it all, Shanum sat leaning back in his chair and looked at Khan and Sarni in their interactions.
Shanum should not need to feel jealous, he convinced himself firmly. But he always accidentally saw Khan stealing glances towards Sintai, when the woman was looking the other way. And Shanum looked at that fact with a throbbing heart of pain.
The man blatantly gave off a special aura to Sintai, until at one time Ula bowed towards Shanum and whispered softly, "Have you broken up? Shouldn't you be lovers? But now I see his eyes on you look different, not what they used to be."
He forgot about me, Shanum replied inwardly, all he remembered was Sainting. And the more the man sent those soundless vibes to his former lover, the more shivering Shanum felt.
"He now considers me a friend, as he said earlier, not a lover," Shanum replied in a whisper.
Shanum saw a concerned look radiating in Ula's eyes. The man did not comment further. He seems to appreciate Shanum's privacy.
Khan was circulating his gaze around the table right now. "Well, it looks like I'm going to start thinking about dividing the group into my tracking team. Especially if you can help me give you a clue about that suspicious bunch of people. We'll meet to coordinate on this. I need to know where you live right now."
Shanum saw a smug smirk from Sintai's lips, and something inside him exploded. He stood up, clenched his hands, and looked at the man straight. "With all due respect, I disagree. From what I saw that day at the treatment, I'm not sure it's that simple. And are you sure about this woman, Adri? Wasn't his appearance really coincidental?"
Shanum heard Ula and Sintai gasp together. Anger rattled the inside of Shanum's body, and made him no longer able to tolerate his shock. Shanum felt that the woman before him was suspicious.
Khan also stood up, and after a long stiff moment, said to the others without turning his gaze away from Shanum. "Sorry, but I need to speak privately with Miss Shanum. Excuse me."
Then Khan pulled Shanum's hand, half dragging him out of the room. They headed to the library next to the workspace. The door closed behind Shanum with a soft clicking sound. Khan slowly approached Shanum, he stopped in front of the girl. The tendrils of fear plagued Shanum when he saw the furious expression of Khan's face.
The girl forced herself to guard her emotions. He folded his arms and saw the man's jaw harden. The man also folded his arms, and Shanum hated the reflex of his eyes that instantly descended momentarily towards the man's pursed lips.
While cursing himself, because he seemed unable to hold back his emotions, he looked at Khan. "What do you mean pull me around like that to make my wrist hurt?"
"You deserve it after your accusation. I think you find this funny, Shasha?"
Shanum frowned. "Find out what's funny?"
Khan's lips curved up looking at Shanum's eyes widened innocently. "Be jealous and suspect Sintai?"
Shanum gasped and his cheeks blushed, which immediately caused an instantaneous effect on Khan's body, forcing him to clench his jaws against the arousal that began to surface. He should have been angry at the girl instead of excited.
The girl's eyes showed a flash of hostile black diamonds. "I'm not jealous. And I'm just putting forth what I think is important so it's worth investigating first. I don't want to waste my blood to help you, if you get hit by that black magic again" he replied.
Khan felt like his stomach was being stabbed. "So you're sorry you gave me your blood before, Shasha? You feel like it's just futility?"
Shanum's cheeks turned pink. "How dare you judge me, you know that's not what I mean."
Khan snorted loudly. "That's right. It's been proven that you can't think clearly because of jealousy. Don't give up again. I know from your expression when I stare at Sintai."
Shanum raised his eyebrows. "Why are you back to talking about jealousy? Aren't we here talking about being careful before we act?"
Khan ignored that and swept a contemptuous look at Shanum. "I just found out you like to be prejudiced against others."
Shanum's arm was lowered and Khan saw the girl clenching her hand. Suddenly Khan remembered that he had kissed the hand, when they ate earlier. Khan snorted, he did not like the feeling he felt when he was with Shanum. Strong feelings that cannot be controlled by it.
Khan moved closer and closer to Shanum, looking at him sharply, not even sure what he was about to do. He just wanted to provoke the girl.
Shanum's eyes widened and he stretched out the tip of his tongue to lick his suddenly dry lips. The blood in Khan's body jumped. Shanum pointed one hand forward. "Don't come near me, I'm serious. How dare you accuse me of having such a bad attitude. It was a comment of a man with a petty mind. And because of that, I've been able to decide that I'm going to camp-"
"Don't try to say that" Khan sissed, completely riled up because such a thing even occurred to Shanum. But the girl had a point. Khan's brain was too tangled because he heard Shanum accuse Sarna, so he acted according to instinct, saying things he would never normally say.
After a moment of stiff silence, Khan walked to a window not far from there, which provided a view to the park behind the mansion. The man stuffed his hands into his trouser pocket, accidentally pulling the material of his trousers to the point of printing his muscular butt. When the man suddenly turned around, guilt made Shanum's chest hot and he hurriedly turned his eyes away.
Khan sighed heavily and said, "You're really going to leave?"
Shanum looked at Khan, still angry. "of course. What am I here for if I have to face charges from you often. What the hell is wrong with you? You were busy accusing me, now you're acting like I'm worried about leaving."
Khan did not reply, he looked at Shanum with an urgent expression of his mainstay. No one managed to resist when faced with that gaze. As if they were being led to admit it.
Shanum's cheeks grew even hotter as he admitted with a tremendous reluctance, "And about Sintai, I actually don't like to see the way the woman looks at you. His gaze was too intimate for an ex-lover."
Khan leaned against the window sills and re-folded his arms in front of his chest. "That's called jealousy, Shasha."
Shanum pursed his lips and said nothing. Khan raised next to his eyebrows, staring with a mocking grin. Shanum realizes that if he does not acknowledge the truth, how he can stop the accusations from the man. There is nothing wrong if he does not like the woman.
"Angrily Shanum admitted, "Alright, yes, I'm jealous. Satisfied?!"
Khan shook his head, his face unreadable. "I still can't just accuse you, Shasha. I know Sarnai. It was unlikely that he had any ill intentions."
The fire ran through Shanum's spine as he said, "And no doubt, I'm coming to a conclusion, you'd rather believe him than me."
Khan's eyes flashed. "I don't understand what you mean. This is not a good time to debate who I trust the most. You should have been more level-headed to decide about the impact of your suspicions."
"I don't care!" shanum said with a furious expression.
Then after shouting out those sharp words, Shanum straightened his body and went around the man, he stepped towards the door, but Khan's arm held him back.
He looked back to see Khan's face that looked harsh by dissatisfaction. "Don't think I'll let you go, Shasha. Our business is not done."
Shanum snatched his arm from Khan's grip violently. Then push the man with all his might. Khan slightly retreated backwards, but was then able to re-balance his body.
Shanum glared at Khan and said, "Don't expect you to be able to hold me back without a fight from me. I do not want to be forced, and at any time will never willingly have to beg for trust in you. If you don't believe me, go ahead. Nothing to lose for me."
Khan retreated and Shanum was once again struck by the fact that his heart ached to find that his lover did not believe him.
Khan's gaze was insulting as he swept his gaze up and down towards Shanum. "Well, I won't beg anymore. Please if you want to leave, even going back to your country I won't care. About our bond, I'll figure out a way to break it."
Shanum raised his chin with a sharp look towards Khan. He did not say a single word anymore. The girl turned around and galloped out of the room, her whole being filled with anger.
Khan looked at the door, the sound of his dings echoing in his ears. Damn the girl. He should never have let his feelings dictate his actions, no matter how strong the attraction he feels.
Khan turned towards the window again and swore an expletive. He could not turn back time and rewrite history to avoid his attacks. His life is now complicated by this memory loss in his brain. And all because of that damn fire.
After this he will contact his mother, and beg her to help find a way to break the bond between himself and the girl. Khan wouldn't go crazy if he was around that girl.
Suddenly there was a knock on the door. Khan saw one of his bodyguards loosening their heads from behind the door. "Sorry, Sir. Guests in the workspace are still waiting. They want clarity whether they can still meet you again or should they leave this place?"
Khan exhaled. Because of the long confrontation with Shanum, he forgot about the existence of Sarna and his brother who was still waiting in his study.
"I'll see them again." Then Khan headed for the door, he stepped back into his study. Hoping to cover up the mess Shanum had done earlier.
Meanwhile in the lobby of the mansion, Shanum seemed to be pacing back and forth waiting for someone's presence. He's feeling tired. His energy drained a lot all day. And all because of that cold guy ice cube. Shanum grimaced his own amusement, when he found that he began to give Farah's nickname to Khan.
Then Shanum saw a four-wheeled vehicle stopping in the lobby. The figure of the driver opened a little window glass in front of him. "Sorry to keep you waiting. Let's go in, Shanum."
Looking at Taban who was behind the wheel, the girl immediately rushed to open the front passenger door. He then told Taban to leave the mansion immediately. Shanum did not want to stay there for longer, because he did not want to be reunited with Khan.
"Are you fighting again?" taban asked with a curious face, just after they had passed the mansion fence.
"Please don't ask about him. I'm not trying to explain, even saying his name I feel nauseous" Shanum replied in an annoyed tone of voice.
Taban chuckled amusedly at Shanum's words. "Gosh, what else has happened? Why are you now like cats and dogs, who never get along when you meet?"
Shanum snorted loudly. "You just ask your boss why he now behaves more like a dog."
"Whoa, Shanum. That's very rude" said the Taban flabbergasted.
"Enough, Taban. I'm still an emotion, so don't keep poking me."
"Okay, I'm quiet. But remember, you still owe me an explanation, Shanum. Think of it in return because I've already picked you up."
"Huh, you are so grateful" Shanum replied curiously.
"Come, Shanum. Don't make me curious. Anyway tomorrow morning you have to explain it to me. Now I'm still giving you time to calm down. Because I know, it's very difficult to deal with Khan who's frustrated." Taban paused for a moment, he seemed to glance at the side view.
"You've only had a few months of emotion. What's up with me, who's had to deal with it for hundreds of years. Especially since she parted with her lover. Then followed by the death of the father he loved. Khan immediately turned really into a difficult person" he continued.
Shanum did not reply, he was stunned by the sight they had passed from the car window. Taban. The man knew, he couldn't possibly get the girl's attention back. Shanum completely shut himself up tightly.
I don't know what Khan Adrian did to him. But Taban can guess, from the look on Shanum's face, Khan again hurt the girl.
Actually Taban refused to be in the middle of their dispute. He didn't want to go too far. Taban only felt sorry for Shanum. Since Khan recovered from his dying condition, the man has inflicted many wounds on the girl. Everything was clearly visible from Shanum's expression.
Taban's car was docked in the lobby of the hotel where Shanum was staying. Taban smiled at the girl and said, "Don't forget, tomorrow morning I'm waiting for your story."
Shanum nodded his head while removing the safety belt from his body. The girl thanked him and got out of Taban's car. Without looking again, Shanum stepped into the hotel. His face looks cloudy. Even the hotel clerk who greeted him kindly, ignored him.
