The Woman Ruler of the Altan Clan

The Woman Ruler of the Altan Clan
Chapter 116 Mission

Shanum saw Avraam observing with a look looking towards him. Then the man folded his hands on his chest, leaning against the wall.

"Explain!" he said with a serious expression.

Shanum. He tried to calm down, even though his chest was rumbling nervously. "I thought about what you said at that time. About being yours..." Shanum stopped talking.

Avraam raised his eyebrows hearing Shanum's severed speech.

The woman breathed her breath. "I will try to make my husband not wish me any more..."

"How," cut Avraam.

"Em, I'll return the necklace you've been given, and here's the one I last wore. And I-I'm gonna write a farewell letter to him."

The words he had just spoken were heart-wrenching, and Shanum was trying to suggest that this was all for the good of the Altan Clan.

"You're sure Khan Adrian will take you off?"

Chief Shanum immediately looked up. "I don't know. He certainly wouldn't have expected it to happen that way, I don't think it's wrong to try."

"Your husband will be furious." Avraam chuckles amusedly.

"But I still doubt you. Look at your attitude towards me. I don't think you're serious about what you say." Avraam stared intently at Shanum. Trying to find a lie there.

"I have to apologize. I admit, it is not easy to change the feelings that have existed for a long time. Khan was my lover before we got married, and you, I didn't know you."

Avraam fell silent, his gaze still fixed. Shanum did not falter, he did not try to shift his gaze. They stared for a moment.

But a moment later Avraam's expression gradually softened. "Okay, then we'll try to get to know more deeply. Maybe from tomorrow you can spend some time with me."

A sense of relief filled Shanum's mind. And he pretended to consider the man's words, then nodded. Shanum brought himself closer to Avraam, hugging him. And feel fed up with every touch of their body parts.

Avraam responded with a tight hug, then stretched out their arms, but his arms were still wrapped around Shanum's waist. "I'm happy, you want to try to accept me" he said slowly.

Shanum forced a look up to look at Avraam's face with a smile.

"I heard you disappeared. Nara can't find you anywhere."

Shanum's heart immediately rumbled. "I was lost before I finally found this room" Shanum said.

Avraam stroked his back. "Why aren't you looking for Nara?"

"I can't find a single person. Where are the people going today, Avraam?"

Avraam smiled gently. "We were in a meeting for quite a while today. Well, let's talk about the clan."

"Is this related to me?"

"No." Khan answered quickly.

After that Avraam took off the winding of his arm on Shanum's waist. "There are still things I need to take care of. Are you okay with me staying?"

The man switched the conversation. It was as if he was reluctant to discuss more about the meeting earlier. Shanum did not urge him, because he knew the contents of the meeting.

"Yes, I'm fine. Um, Avraam. May I eat in this room only tonight. My body was quite tired after just a long time circling around looking for this room."

Avraam. "Let's ask Nara to bring your food here."

"Thank you, Avraam."

The man then left the room.

Shanum went to the window. Stare silently as the sunlight fades and the night finally arrives. Flickering stars begin to look, dim and small behind the horizon.

In his heart Shanum asked, is it worth it, is giving himself up like this worth it, for the sake of gaining peace for the Altan Clan. Peace to the entire clan. Is it true that they will let go of a grudge that has been rooted for hundreds of years. No one knows, and only time can decide.

After finishing the meal that Nara delivered, Shanum changed clothes with a long nightgown. He happily wore it, after a whole day of sweat still stuck to his skin.

Then Shanum jumped onto the bed, sighing loudly. The game of hiding yourself and full of tricks today is quite draining his energy.

Almost half an hour, Shanum kicked around the sheets, rolling agitatedly. Although he was tired, for some reason his eyes refused to close and rest in silence.

All were entangled and swirled around Shanum. He tried not to heed it. But it feels difficult.

He cannot forget the terrible plans of Avraam and his followers. Their desire to hunt down all things related to the Altan Clan.

Shanum could not forget the sad faces of the people he loved when he joined the masked man. Especially the expression of Khan, her husband.

Shanum was convinced, it was not easy for them to change plans. But he never gave up. All things will be done by him, for the safety of those he loves.

Shanum lets himself smile longer, while recalling his happy memories with Khan. Slowly his eyes began to close. It seems that the memories of her husband are like lullabies music that makes her feel calm and peaceful.

A few days later, Shanum confirmed that the necklace, clothes and letters were actually delivered to Khan's mansion. He began his next mission. For one week, Shanum thought about it, on the sidelines of the time he spent with Avraam.

Once he felt he wanted to end this mission, when he saw Khan's judgmental expression. His mind screamed at the words full of disappointment from the man. Shanum was indeed caught off guard, not blocking their bond. Until her husband managed to reach her telepathically through their bondage, she followed Avraam on patrol into the forest on the west side.

Fortunately, Avraam was suddenly summoned by one of his accomplices. They immediately moved away from Shanum, so that she could have a little conversation with her husband.

Everything he said was nonsense. Shanum admitted, it is very difficult to pretend that he does not love someone, while his heart harbors a longing and deep pain.

After the door closed behind him, he could no longer hold back his tears. Shanum cried in silence. He had to endure all the wounds he had made himself.

From then on, Avraam slowly proved his point. He gave Shanum the freedom to get to know him better. And along with that, he became more free-moving within the man's clan.

Actually behind his cunning, arrogant and cruel attitude, Avraam is a gentle and romantic person. If Shanum did not have the Khan, and shared a sacred bond with him, perhaps he could fall into the charm of Avraam.

And behind all that sweetness to Shanum, comes a new enemy who is always trying to figure it out. At first they were just annoying. But over time their attitude began to be rude tend to be evil. Shanum is hostile to some women who like Avraam.

Shanum can easily detect this because she is a woman. Her feelings as a woman can see that only a woman with acute jealousy can justify any means to eliminate her rivals.

Several times Shanum accepted bulliying actions against him. Like calling it ****** when Avraam is not with him, making him wretched when practicing fighting, with almost making him get stabbed by the sword, and other experiments that make him inevitably have to be vigilant.

Of the many women, there is one woman who never deterred to harm him. Her name was Chemira. Unfortunately Shanum was unable to complain to Avraam, as Chemira was the man's direct right hand. The deceitful woman keeps an abomination in her. In front of Avraam he would be friendly towards Shanum. But behind the man, he tried to exterminate Shanum.

Often Shanum wanted to report it to Avraam. But he had doubts, he was worried that Avraam would not believe his chatter because of Chemira's evil behavior.

Shanum can only swallow everything himself, and always tries to be clever evasive.

But this time Shanum could no longer dodge or figure out how to get out of Chemira's trap. The snake woman managed to trick her by pretending to tell her servant to say that Shanum was waiting by Avraam in a room immediately.

Shanum did not know it was Avraam's private quarters, and no one could enter it except the man.

With light steps Shanum headed to where he was shown, unaware that bad things were waiting for him there. Avraam was very surprised to see Shanum suddenly enter the forbidden room. Shanum was initially glued to find the man looking down on some paper before him. He circulated a glance, looking at a room similar to a work space.

"What are you doing here? How do you know about this place?" The man looks angry.

Shanum was shocked and confused to receive Avraam's anger. With tightened jaws and sharp eyes, the meaning of Avraam's speech as if the room was forbidden to enter.

Shanum suddenly got nervous mixed up in wonder. Why is a work room forbidden to enter? What is Avraam hiding in this room? And if it were forbidden, why was there not a single guard outside the room to stand guard?

"Say!" snapped Avraam.

Shanum jumped in shock. "That was it, my a. my a..." Shanum's words stammered unable to immediately answer. He knew, this time fate was not on his side. He falls into a viper trap that exploits his ignorance.

Withstanding fear, Shanum tried to tell the chronology truthfully. But Avraam doubted Shanum's words when he mentioned the name Chimera. Shanum does not want to give up, he does not want to be blamed just like that. He asks Avraam to be fair by calling and examining the Chimera following his cronies.

Avraam immediately called Chemira and her servant. He's in court in a meeting room. Both of course did not confess, and quibbled with an alibi being outside the house by giving many witnesses who supported him.

Shanum can no longer resist, he must accept punishment from Avraam. Penalties that do not enter deacons according to Shanum. Because he had to be punished just for going into an unattended workroom.

For one month he was sentenced by Avraam to be in a closed room without windows and furniture. A thin bed was the place where he slept. Although without windows, the room was still cold, with a climate that was far different from his homeland. Shanum had to endure just relying on the thick clothes he was wearing. The room was specially decorated, he could not use his magic there.

In addition, he also had to defecate using a potty, no water to bathe, and clean himself. He only got a tissue roll to wipe his special area after he finished shitting.

The first week, Shanum was still calm and busy filling his days with body exercises and reminiscing about his time with his husband, family and friends. But after he has recurring nightmares about the massacre of his parents, Shanum begins to feel uneasy.

He was afraid that his dream would come true, and he could not do much to help them. He has to get out of this damned place, no matter what.

When lunch was delivered to him by a guard, Shanum immediately acted to immobilize the guard and took the sword that was slung around his waist. Shanum sliced one of his arms with the sword.

Blood flowed profusely soaked the floor, leaving the guards he had crippled dumbfounded. Shanum grimaced, enduring the pain before the pitch-black darkness began to swallow him.
