The Woman Ruler of the Altan Clan

The Woman Ruler of the Altan Clan
Chapter 129 Duongan Sakhai

The sky was so bright this morning. Reverse with the atmosphere in the middle of the hill. Towards Duongan Sakhai, the two men who were about to fight looked tense. Likewise with the spectators who were in the predetermined location.

"Please stand on the right and left sides of the stone" Nekhii said, pointing at Khan and Avraam with a wave of his hand.

Khan and Avraam moved to follow Nekhii's direction quickly. After standing upright in his position, Khan looked at Avraam, one hand the man was holding a sword, the other hand was preparing with a magic splash.

Nekhii as the watchdog of the fight followed Khan's gaze and gave a small nod. The two men were already prepared with combat-ready positions according to their respective characters.

Khan thinks he should calm down. Although quite heavy, but the same as everything he and his group have faced at this time. They have overcome the toughest, Khan told himself, trying to believe that, trying to win this fight.

All for the sake of his wife, his family, the friends around him and for the sake of the universe that is threatened to collapse upon them all if he fails.

Nekhii gave a warning for them to begin, then moved to a safe place that had been prepared to oversee the course of the fight. The place had a protective layer around it, which could keep the watchdog as well as the audience from any possible danger.

Khan's sword shone, his notch reflecting the sunlight on that hill. Khan could feel a chill emanating from the ancient blade, as if the heart of the sword had frozen from a long time of being un-forged. He had indeed not plunged into battle for a long time using a sword. Life today only needs a pen and a mouth to negotiate in every battle.

Khan waited while preparing the horses. Avraam grinning. The man was already preparing with the sword he had. Then with a snarling mouth sticking out in the air, Avraam began to make an attack. The man slashed towards Khan, aiming for his head.

Khan lowered his head while fending off the attack. The man managed to break it, and struck back with the tip of a blunt-sided sword into Avraam's body. The man flinched backwards to receive Khan's punch, while holding his body's pace so as not to fall down.

And Khan retaliated by inserting magic at the rate of his punch, the unexpected attack making Avraam cough violently while holding his chest.

"Now it's my turn" Khan growled with a flick of the sword blade in the air so that his hand held the handle steadily and instantly swung his sword aiming at the right side of Avraam's body.

Avraam twitched in the opposite direction and the slash slipped, Khan's sword splitting open air instead of Avraam's body. Khan nimbly followed Avraam's movements.

They launched attacks on each other. Khan attacked, Avraam repelled, and the opposite happened. Both movements are very fast. If the eyes of ordinary humans were to see, it would definitely only find rough shadows that continued to move agilely.

After attacking each other for quite a while, the two suddenly stopped moving, Avraam spread a black fog around them. Khan was stunned when he felt Avraam's hand try to lock his back, making his sword slip and hit the ground. Khan tried to shift to the side and raised his hand to injure Avraam.

Khan managed to slash the man's upper arm with his magic light. That red-colored magic light moved against the black-colored fog. But Avraam did not even blink as he continued to grip Khan while casting spells.

Another pair of hands grabbed Khan's arm and the man shifted to the side. Avraam's body splits into three forms. The man used the hidden power of his doubling spell.

Khan's attention was distracted for a moment by Avraam's magic, leaving him vulnerable to attacks from the other side until he barely had time to turn around when the third attacker punched him in the waist, sending him crashing to the ground.

Khan's head hit the ground with a loud bang, and for a moment his head was dizzy. Khan managed to stab one of Avraam's duplicates with a sharp magic light like a dagger, successfully slashing the stomach of the replica bent over it. However, the pain was explosive in his head when another replica managed to hit his right temple hard.

With a face drenched in blood, Khan struggled to stand up. Although he was much stronger than an ordinary human, he had already been weakened by the attack on his head and was plagued by the snare of fog that threatened his existence.

On his knees, Khan smoothed his magic light onto the knee of the bastard who hit him earlier, but the pain in his waist warned that one of the other two Avraam was still standing and was already brandishing a sword. The sharp sword eyes continued to attack him while the original Avraam tried to stick the sword in his heart.

Khan growled furiously, fighting the darkness that threatened to defeat him. He held his sword forward, narrowing his eyes. Khan cast another spell, this time trying to escape the darkness of Avraam's dark mist that disturbs his visibility.

Then the fog began to decrease in concentration. Amidst the dimness of the fog created by Avraam, he began to be able to see his movements.

While closely watching Avraam carry his steps, Khan calmly observed the movements of the man who stepped cautiously. Avraam was not in a hurry to launch an attack, it seemed he realized the fog was thinning.

Avraam and his duplicate back deliberately led him somewhere. Step by step slowly, while swinging their swords.

For a few tense moments he served each attack calmly. But just as he sensed the three Avraams begin to encircle him, Khan felt a stifling glimmer of air that seemed to draw his sanity behind him.

Deciding that he would head to a place far more dangerous than the three bastards in front of him, gracefully Khan turned his back, his eyes observing a dark corner.

The mist of illusion, Khan was shocked when he noticed it.

Goddamnit! The man took her to a place full of dangerous hallucinations. A field that can bring out the hidden fear in one's soul, make it real, to make madness and death is certain.

Khan turned back quickly, taking himself away from the field of illusion. He saw a grin forming on Avraam's lips. "Did you like my little surprise, Khan Adrian?"

Trying to hide his bubbling anger, Khan cast a cold stare in a defiant style.

"I have to admit that you're making me very surprised, Avraam." Khan's eyes drew sharply towards the man. "I didn't think you'd dare perform such a shameful deception."

Avraam's lips twitched strangely, as if he felt a hint of panic within Khan.

"All legitimate means are done in this fight, Khan. The most important thing is that one of the parties has to end up dead. Isn't that?" avraam said, grinning.

For a moment Khan was stunned while his eyes were squinted. "Basic bastards. You are willing to do everything you can to win. Don't expect you to succeed in doing that. Your efforts to get rid of me will surely fail miserably" Khan replied with a mocking smile.

Avraam laughed briefly. "Feel in on you, Khan. But you're so wrong. I will win this fight. Ah.. I can't wait to immediately bring my victory gift into my arms."

"No way," cetus Khan fed up while his gallant body was preparing to attack. Of course Khan knew who Avraam meant as the prize.

"You know, I wish you could live long enough to see me with your woman. Unfortunately, Duongan Sakhai's rules were very strict, one of the parties had to die."

Ignoring his ingenious attempts to provoke his anger, Khan faced his opponent steadfastly.

"Would you willingly accept my stab at your heart, Khan?" cetus Avraam swung his sword. "Come on, so that I can immediately take Shanum with me," he continued in an unshakable amused tone.

"Please keep dreaming, you bastard!" reply Khan.

"That means there's nothing more to discuss." Avraam shrugged, his cynical smile still visible as he approached Khan slowly.

"Shanum will soon be mine. I'll kiss her beautiful lips, and I'll hold her warm body in my arms again" said Avraam with secretive sparkling eyes.

With movements too fast for Avraam to follow, Khan attacked, sending Avraam crashing to the ground and both duplicates moving against Khan's next attack.

Both of Khan's duplicates started against Avraam's duplicates. While the duplicates were busy fighting, the two began to circle each other slowly, equally on standby to deal with the opponent's attack.

They kept circling around, then suddenly Avraam just disappeared amidst a puff of smoke, and just as quickly appeared behind Khan, hitting the back of Khan's head.

Khan staggered, but soon turned to face the bastard man.

Avraam drifted backwards, being careful to dodge Khan's sword and magic, his lips covering a sly smile.

"There's a last message, Khan Adrian?" tanyanya laughed in a disdainful style.

The mist again swallowed Avraam, and to Khan's astonishment, he felt a speck of pain on his cheek. Avraam scraped Khan's cheek skin before disappearing.

"Appear to you, you coward" Khan said, suddenly jolting as the mist moved behind him and more blood began to flow from the wound on his back.

Khan lunged forward, but even though he was moving fast he was still not fast enough. In the blink of an eye, Avraam had already disappeared and suddenly Khan felt Avraam's fingers clutching his neck.

The shock left Khan unable to move while Avraam tightened the grip on his neck and he felt the air begin to be pumped out of his body.

"Don't" cried Shanum.

"Make him stop this fight, Nekhii," asked Shanum in a blocked voice turning towards the woman. Nekhii simply replied with a headband while throwing a sad expression. Shanum closed his mouth tightly, trying not to squeal an urgent pained howl out of his mouth.

Khan desperately tried to breathe, and released Avraam's grip. The air began to thin into his lungs.

"Take him off, Avraam. I. I'm willing to come with you. But release him," Shanum ordered in a slightly anxious tone.

Khan's eyes widened in fear when he heard Shanum's words, and he shook his head briefly at his wife.

Avraam loosened his grip. Subconsciously, the man was also affected by Shanum's words to shift his focus to Shanum.

"Ti-dak..." Khan voiced out with a stammer. The hand that gripped her neck was pulled loose by her. While Avraam suddenly stood stiffly not moving.

"You.." said Avraam in disbelief. His lips can still throw words, even though his body is frozen.

Khan doesn't care. He turned his head and found that both duplicates had managed to defeat the Avraam duplicates who stood stiff like the original body owner.

Still struggling to breathe with a sore throat, Khan stared coldly at Avraam.

"You've lost badly, Avraam. And yes, I also have the power to freeze my wife." Khan brought his head closer to Avraam's face, "There's a final message?" reply Khan threw back Avraam's previous question with a mocking look.

Avraam's jaw tightened, his eyes staring intently. But not a single word came from his lips.

"Unable to speak, Avraam. You lost your tongue" Khan said, grunting loudly.

Khan straightened his body suddenly. In front of him Avraam's expression stiffened, preparing to face the final attack of the Khan which would surely culminate in death for him.

But just when Avraam realized that Khan was about to break his neck, there came a sudden movement to dispel Khan's body until the man was taken two steps back so hard. And the shocked puff of the people made him turn away immediately, looking for who the person responsible was interfering with his execution of Avraam.

Shanum stood right in front of them. Khan's eyes widened when he saw the party responsible for disturbing it, including the glittering light shrouding Shanum's body, working amid the dimness of the fog.

"It's too easy for him to die with a broken neck, Adri. He should have been killed in a slower and more painful way, because of the heap of his sins" Shanum said, his face strained by a dangerous determination.

"Say how should he meet his death angel?" greet Khan with a serious face.

"You just throw him into the field of illusion. I'm sure in there he'll definitely find a worse death than having to have a broken neck. Isn't madness more terrible, Adri."

Khan stunned. Didn't expect his wife to keep such a sadistic character. Suddenly Khan laughed briefly. "I really like that proposal, honey."

Then Khan turned his gaze towards Avraam. "You heard it yourself, Avraam. My wife wants you released in the Fields of Illusion."

Khan chuckled amusedly while shaking his head. "At the end of the day, you yourself will be lost in the field, embracing hallucinations until the end of your life. Though you've worked so hard to set me up to get in there."

Avraam's expression stiffened, not at all convinced that he was ready to hear Shanum's intent to break Khan's death attack. As soon as Khan said those words, Avraam realized that he would not have an easy death, and the proposal came from the lips of the woman he wanted.

"Just do it," Avraam finally replied in a soft voice, after resigning unable to resist. "I'm ready, '" he added. Simultaneously with his words, those dark eyes stared gently with regret towards Shanum.

Shanum. It was true that he had seen just now, the man who had done all the trickery, threw an apology at him. Of all the evil actions that the man has done, Shanum does not believe Avraam can have a single speck of regret for his actions.

Then Avraam was taken by Khan to approach Padang Ilusi. The man's hand was bound by a magic rope, and the rope had already been cast a spell by Khan, the spell would have been unleashed if the man was already in the depths of the Illusory Field.

Khan pushed the rough back of Avraam into the field. Avraam slightly slumped forward, then re-enforced his body, and stepped calmly behind the fog. Slowly the mist enveloped the man's body and Avraam's massive body immediately faded into the mist, bringing with it all the traces of darkness he was doing behind him.

Restful arms hugged Shanum's trembling body, and Khan dipped his temple. Relieve anxiety on the woman's body.

"It's over."

For a moment Khan simply hugged Shanum, letting Shanum's warmth seep into his cold heart.

Khan did not expect that defeating Avraam was so difficult. Although he already knew that his own life was on the edge, he could not force himself to directly kill the man. Deep in the corner of his heart, Khan still felt a blood attachment to the man. Taking the life of a person who shares the same blood with him is against all values he holds dear.

After Khan heard Shanum's plea to Avraam, and he began to feel the fear of losing his soul mate back up, only then did his reluctance disappear and the freezing power appear.

Khan's embrace on Shanum's body grew tighter, his lips unable to stop caressing Shanum's soft satin skin. He had to convince himself that his soul mate was still in his arms.
