The Woman Ruler of the Altan Clan

The Woman Ruler of the Altan Clan
Chapter 40 Refusing to Get Involved

Shanum still laughed amusedly at the reaction of his two best friends. They looked at him with an envious look that was not covered up. Especially when Shanum described Mr. Reno in his room earlier. How he looked, his facial expression, and his words. He was even given his cell phone number by Mr Reno himself. And can contact him at any time if he wants to do thesis guidance.

"I still don't accept it! Why is Shanum so lucky to have guidance with Mr Reno? I submitted yesterday, but was rejected on the grounds that the schedule was full." Diva said while grumbling. "I was the same, rejected yesterday. For the same reason" said Farah.

"You should be like me who didn't file." Shanum smiled faintly as he reopened the first corrected chapter of Mr. Reno. He read the man's note, and promised himself to perfect the first chapter when he got home.

"Why haven't you ever applied for Mr Reno as your tutor?" ask Farah again with a probing look. "Em, I didn't propose it, because from the beginning I've been a pessimist that would be acceptable." Shanum shrugged his shoulders. "But it turns out fate says otherwise, I kind of hit the jackpot. All of a sudden my guidance counselor became Mr. Reno." The girl grinned widely.

"It looks like he's done a very good deed in the past, to get an amazing reply like this" Diva said slowly. Shanum smiled amusedly at the words of Diva.

"Yes, you're really lucky, Sha. Besides having a handsome and rich exorbitant lover. Now can the lecturer also look good and famous sekampus," said Farah while rolling her eyeballs.

Shanum sighed furiously then lowered his head and twisted the decorations embedded in his bag. Farah tried to read the girl's face and all she saw there was anger. "I don't have a boyfriend, Farah. Not anymore."

Farah's forehead creased deeply, "Aren't you still related to Khan?" ask Farah. Diva suddenly pinched Farah's arm. "What are the pinches," sizzled Farah. Diva glared at him and gestured to shut her mouth.

Farah glared back at the girl. "Did he break up your relationship?" ask Farah again. Diva hit her head in frustration. That one friend is insensitive. He did not see the situation, just continued to search for the person until he found an answer that satisfied him.

Shanum just silently peeked in place, not knowing what to answer so that his best friend was not offended. Honestly, he didn't want to talk about the guy anymore. For a month there was no news of him. So Shanum had stopped hoping, even though it hurt him so much.

"No word broken. Since the beginning of our relationship was just a trial. So, please stop talking about that guy." Shanum picked up his bag from the bench and prepared to leave the place. "There is a test relationship that destroys both sides" Farah murmured.

"Please take me to your car park, Diva. Sergei said he wanted to talk to me" Shanum said with a stiff face. Farah who was looking at the situation could only take her breath and be quiet. He no longer smacked Shanum.

Diva leads their way to the car park. There was already waiting for Sergei, leaning on one of the trees behind the car. The man smiled gently as he looked at the Diva.

"What do you want to talk about, Sergei?" shoot Shanum directly, without further ado. "How about we find a chair to sit on." Sergei circled his gaze around him, and saw some iron chairs in the garden not far from there. The man smiled then hinted with his hand to head to the chair.

They're moving after Sergei. All three are sitting in their respective positions. Farah sat close to the Diva. Shanum sat alone, and Sergei leaned against one of the trees.

Sergei cleared his throat, and looked towards Shanum. "I got information yesterday from Astrakhan. That guy seems to know that I helped you escape." Sergei chuckles amusedly.

"And he's already got back at me, by foiling two big deals that want to put on my services. But it's okay, I can still get another transaction later on." Sergei took the phone out of his pants pocket and seemed to be fiddling with it.

The meaning of Sergei's remark, that Khan had started searching for a future queen made him nauseous, his stomach churned, but even worse was the realization that he had not forgotten the man.

Shanum took his phone. He was stunned not to move when he saw some videos that had already entered into the phone. "Try to open one of them, Sha," said Diva. Shanum raised his head and turned his head, he saw that his two companions had already approached him. Diva sat next to him, while Farah stood behind him. Their faces looked curious.

Shanum took a breath, then he looked back down, staring at his phone screen. He opened one of the videos, seeing inside it was Khan with a beautiful woman of petite stature. He followed until it was finished. Then open two more videos that Sergei sent.

When the entire video was finished being watched by him and his two best friends, he turned to Sergei. "Why did you send those videos to me?" sue him while raising an eyebrow. Sergei looked back at the girl and said, "I just want you to know. Or maybe you actually you already know, judging from your reaction?" The man narrowed his eyes full of probing.

Shanum did not reply, he got up from his seat and flicked his pants, as if he had finished sitting on a dusty chair. "Listen, this is none of my business anymore. So let me also move on with my life."

"I don't want to interfere, Shanum. But I already consider you like my own best friend. Regardless of you coming back here, and you're never close. Isn't there something you should do?" ask Sergei.

"No." Shanum answered briefly. Sergei cringing. "You don't want to save that guy. He looks tormented. Did you get that hard on him, Shanum. He languished without you" Sergei continued.

Shanum's mind came to a halt, his tears almost spilled. He held back every drop, though his eyes still looked teary. Shanum covered his mouth with his hands. He held tightly to the iron backrest of one of the chairs, as if his body would decay at any time to the ground.

Shanum. "That's not entirely true. He couldn't possibly feel tormented. If he doesn't want it, why not just reject it. He's a Khan, king of the Altan Clan." Oh my God, Shanum's chest hurts, his head hurts too.

"He may not be able to resist, Shanum. Because I know every clan has its own rules for centuries about the couple who own the throne." Shanum stiffened his jaw, his face looking angry.

"If that's the case, why should he be dishonest to me. He can tell me. There was no need to lie saying that he was not in Astrakhan at the time, but he had already returned to the city, and covered his departure with a woman to a party. If you were me how would you feel?"

Shanum's face looked crumpled dimly. Finally he brought out all the facts he had kept all this time. The girl looked angry, sad and broken.

Sergei did not take his eyes off her, but Shanum saw pity filling his face. Farah and Diva also looked at the girl with sad eyes. Finally they knew the real issue that was going on between Shanum and Khan.

"I'm sorry, I'd better get home. There's still a first chapter fix I have to make." Shanum passed from before his two best friends and Sergei. He headed to the parking lot of his car and immediately got into it automatically like a robot. Unaware of the six pairs of eyes following him towards the car. Keep their distance so that the girl does not notice.

"Will he be okay?" ask Diva slowly. "I'd better follow him. Excuse me. Have fun you two." Farah immediately ran towards her car, intending to follow Shanum. Farah was worried something might happen to Shanum. Because his emotional condition is still chaotic due to the events earlier.

Diva looked at Sergei who was embracing his shoulder. "I'm not excited to go where you say it is. We just go home, Sergei, yes" he said with a tired sigh. "Okay, I'll take you home. But you sure don't want to eat first. Maybe at the restaurant that's in your house." Sergei tried to negotiate with his heart. "Yes, we eat first" replied the Diva. The two drove to the car and got off the campus.
