The Woman Ruler of the Altan Clan

The Woman Ruler of the Altan Clan
Chapter 53 The Unexpected Surprise

The body he was looking for was not in that room. Sergei has also helped her navigate through any debris and found no trace of a burned human body.

"Does his body burn to ashes?" ask him to Sergei.

Sergei sighed, then his face turned sad. "Maybe, Shanum. Magic fire can make a human into ashes in a very fast time."

Shanum froze, in a state of shock, he decayed falling onto the floor. It was as if his legs were squeezing, collapsing in grief.

He knelt on the ash-covered floor, scooped up the handful of ashes that were there, and began to cry. Struck, the girl stared into the ashes in the grasp of her hands.

"Dad... Mom, I'm sorry. It's all my fault. I have harmed you" he whispered softly.

Oh, Shanum really did deliver both of them in death. All his curiosity about the dream, now ensnared him. It was as if he had opened Pandora's box, a box of bad things in this world.

Shanum sobbed, suddenly feeling resentful of himself who possessed this power. Everyone left him. Both his parents, and Khan. People who mean a lot to him.

He just regretted the loss of something, which he did not fully appreciate and understand when it was within his grasp. When everything went from him, he understood that life was terrible for him to live.

"It is better not to love anyone" he whispered in a hoarse voice as he sobbed.

"No," Sergei argued softly. "Never think so, Shanum. Never feel in vain to feel love. The love of both your parents will remain within you, for you are born from the bond of their love."

Sergei pulled Shanum up from his kneeling position. He cleaned both palms of the girl from the ashes, then held both of her shoulders.

"You still have Diva, Farah and me. We all love you, you're like family to us. So you have to be strong and never give up. I'll help you find the person responsible for this. I promise, Shanum!"

Sergei looked at him firmly and determinedly. His eyes radiated the belief that he could rise from this slump. He tried to quell the despair in Shanum.

"Come, we gotta get out of here. I can't take too long to interfere with time, because it can drain my power."

They then went out, finding Diva and Farah who were looking at him with curious eyes and anxiety.

Shanum could not explain to them at this time. He averted his gaze, unable to look into the eyes of Farah and Diva.

Kindness will make her tears come back. They must have sensed it, because the two did not ask him further.

After that Sergei arranged everything. After Shanum put things in his car. They return to their original place, a position before Sergei stops time.

The man then returned to chanting. The blue light of his strength that enveloped each person slowly moved towards the head, then permeated and disappeared.

Sergei then flicked his finger back, and time rolled back. People who had regained consciousness for a moment looked confused. But then they moved and acted as usual. The suggestion that Sergei instilled succeeded brilliantly.

Shanum saw the firefighters cleaning up their equipment. Some people who swarm also return to their homes or activities.

He saw Mr. Dirman talking to several people, whom he knew from Mang Jali was an officer from the local police. The rest is passed automatically like a robot. Shanum didn't want to think. His feelings were numb at the time.

***

Shanum currently occupies the apartment his father bought for his twentieth birthday. The apartment is in the city center. Shanum never used it, as he preferred to live with both of his parents.

The apartment was kept clean and tidy, because every month his father spent money to pay for the services that took care of and cleaned it. So when he opened the door, the room and the furniture in front of him seemed to remain well maintained, the girl was relieved.

Time passed, during this one month he was accompanied by his two best friends. They insist on staying at her apartment, and help her through her difficult times.

The two never let him daydream or mope. They talk, study together, watch movies, and cook together.

They already knew the incident inside his house from Sergei. So he didn't need to retell what was happening inside his house back then.

About the body of his parents, he is still waiting for the results of TKP from the police. And although he did not dare to expect too much, still in his little heart still believed, that his parents were still alive.

According to the police, if there is no evidence of ash or the remains of the two victims. They will develop the investigation into the search for the abductees. Both victims were abducted before the fire broke out.

Mr. Dirman as the one who met last with the two victims also could not be sure to see the two continuously. There was a time when he had to leave the guard post.

The script went well. Shanum insisted on working on it to keep his mind sane. And Mr. Reno has now returned to his usual attitude.

He expressed his condolences for the misfortune that had befallen him, and apologized because he had avoided it. He would not force his feelings on Shanum.

He said sincere love is not selfish. He feels happy if Shanum can find his happiness, even if not with him.

The girl held no grudges, she understood and did not take issue with her anymore. Mr. Reno is a good man, and Shanum is lucky to be loved by a man as good as himself, even though he cannot repay him.

"Hey, are you sure you can be left alone?" ask Diva again to make sure. "Yes, don't let me suddenly hear you're killing yourself" Farah added.

Diva immediately glared. "If you speak, don't be so reckless."

"Just calm down, I'm not that desperate. You guys can calm down" Shanum said with a smile.

"Okay, then we'll go back home. Take good care of yourself. Remember, we're always there for you." Diva patted his shoulder gently.

"Thank you, you've been looking after me for a month" he said.

Suddenly the doorbell sounded. "That must be Sergei" Diva said. He stepped towards the door.

"Definitely want to date again." Farah snorted while putting on an unpleasant face.

"Eat he's looking for a girlfriend. So there's no need to be jealous to see Diva dating" Shanum said.

"I don't want to have a boyfriend. But a man who fits my taste is hard to find."

"Ih, still picky. That's the name of the tribulation sought for itself" said Shanum.

"Urusan chose it his law is obligatory. Time to play comot. How will I get zonk?" Farah rolled her eyeballs.

"Yes not so either. But at least you can try exploring first. For example, Roni, he's been chasing you since the third semester. The face is decent, the treasure is good, and the brain is also good. Especially what is being sought?"

"Cih, in my dictionary there is no appreciable assessment that enters the criteria. All that can be counted is perfect judgment" he said cynically.

If you are already interested in men, he does not hesitate to pursue, even though the edges are rejected. To him, the man was many, so failing one there was still another. And the funny thing is there was never a single man who chased after him that matched his taste.

It's always the guy he likes to not reciprocate to like him, instead tend to avoid him. If Diva says, Farah was wrongly born as a woman. He should be a man, in order to be the one chasing after.

"Shanum, how are you?" greet Sergei while holding Diva's hand. They have not seen each other since the fire broke out a month ago. Sergei immediately went to take care of his work.

"I'm good, Sergei. Thank you for asking," he replied with a smile. "And how are you doing too?"

"As you can see, physically I'm good. It's just my heart that's a little less kind, because it misses Lunaku." Sergei glanced at the Diva, tightening his grasp. Diva glanced back and smiled shyly at the man.

"Geez, we become Mosquitoes here, Shanum. I'd better get going. Too long here later pity my mind and my heart, surely it will be more persecuted."

"Hmm. It's sadistic your words, Farah. Indirectly you have come to my heart and mind" Shanum protested.

Farah chuckled amusedly while sniffing her shoulders. "Welcome to the sadistic world of romance, Sis. Okay, excuse me, Ciao...." The girl then walked towards the door.

"Basic, Farah!" Diva shook her head.

"It looks like I should try to match up Farah with one of my colleagues who is here. Who knows, it works" Sergei said, holding his chin.

"Don't!" sahut Diva fast.

"Why can't it?" Sergei frowned.

"I don't want you to fight with your colleagues. Farah is a very unpredictable girl. He can act so incredibly irritating that he can torture others if he doesn't like it" the Diva replied.

"Right, but I don't think it's wrong to try as long as you can play pretty, Sergei" Shanum said.

"Okay, I'll set the strategy first." Sergei grinned.

"And if there's a problem later, I don't want to interfere. Because I warned you." Diva looked at the man with a serious look.

"Just calm down, Hon. That matter must have been my responsibility."

"Okay, Shanum, we have to go. Thank you for taking care of Lunaku for this one month" the man added.

"There is also me who is grateful, has been comforted by my friends. Thank you, Diva."

Diva came forward and hugged Shanum. "Either. I'm going home yes. If you need me again to accompany you, don't hesitate, call me, okay" he whispered.

Shanum returned Diva's embrace and said, "Surely. It's gone there. Poor thing, your lover is already languishing for longing."

Diva giggled at Shanum's words. Then he took off his arms and walked out of Shanum's apartment with Sergei.

Shanum sighed. His apartment was quiet after the departure of his best friends. He went straight to the kitchen to get a glass of water.

His throat suddenly felt dry. As he sipped the water from the glass, he heard the bell ringing again.

Shanum frowned. Did the Diva leave something, so it had to come back? The girl rushed to the door and opened it.

"Does anyone live?" said staggered. Shanum was shocked. He reacted instinctively, thus moving backwards. And he nearly fell over before a pair of hands caught him from falling.

His golden-coloured eyes looked at Shanum deeply. And Shanum's heart pounded, his lips opened so he could breathe faster. The man's scent as usual was very seductive and remained tantalizing.

The girl exhaled tremblingly, her pulse surging as she felt the warm hands of the man helping her to get back on her feet.

"Are you okay?"

Her sexy voice, with a hoarse tone still makes her stomach upside down. His lips suddenly felt dry again. He had just drank a glass of water before opening the door.

But then Shanum shook his head. He immediately shook the man's hand. The girl turned her body.

"What are you doing here, asshole?" Shanum's voice broke, his tears spilled. "You can't be reached and don't reply to my messages. I. I hate you!"

Khan directly grabbed Shanum's shoulder, flipping it to face the man. His grip on the girl's shoulder ensured that he could not escape.

"Never say that. Because I can't bear it. I've always loved you, Shasha." Khan hugged the girl tightly, his lips pressed against Shanum's hair. "Don't cry. I'm sorry."

Shanum then punched the man in the chest, sobbing. "You don't love me. If you love me why do you keep hurting me?"

"Shaa." Khan cupped the back of Shanum's head with one hand and pressed his cheek against the girl's temple. "That's all I did to prepare for my coming here."

"I can't believe it. Why don't you give me a quick message or anything that'll calm me down?"

"Darling..." Khan's lips moved to kiss the girl's temple and wiped the remaining tears from Shanum's cheeks.

"I couldn't do that, because I had to give intense training to the person who was going to disguise myself. He still has to practice, even though he can change his appearance and voice to me."

Shanum looked up, he looked at the man with a look of disbelief. "You're lying, aren't you, how is there such a thing?"

Khan cupped his face and pressed his forehead against the girl's forehead. "I'm serious, Shasha. That man indeed had such strength."

Shanum sighed, then he tiptoed. The girl cupped Khan's two cheeks with her palm. Then suddenly he pinched her hard. "I'm still disappointed in you, when I lost my parents, I couldn't find you as my support."

Khan grimaced, feeling the pain effects of Shanum's pinching. "I know, Shasha. Sorry, I couldn't have come sooner."

"You know? Where'd you know that?" Shanum narrowed his eyes suspiciously.

"Em. that's me..." Khan looks agitated.

"Quick say!" Shanum glared while tracking his waist.

"Actually from the beginning you've returned to your country, I've sent people who always monitor your situation."
