After finishing cleaning his body, Shanum rushed towards the kitchen. His stomach has been beeping for stuff since he was in the bathroom. Shanum opened the refrigerator, and found some ingredients that he could process into a simple breakfast. He also acted in front of the stove.
Fifteen minutes later, in front of the penthouse's large window, he was seen enjoying a plate of omelets and a glass of milk. He ate breakfast while looking at the view of the city on the chair he moved from his home. The girl chewed on the food while thinking about her nightmare earlier.
If the dream had really come true, what would he have done? Seeing and hearing Khan's agonizing screams in a dream alone was enough to make his soul scream miserably. Especially if the dream is real.
And why would that crazy man be in his dreams? Another question that still invites a big question mark in his mind.
Shanum had to discuss this with Eej, as he was a layman for this world of sly affairs. There may be people who have the power to be dream explorers.
Shanum sighed tiredly. He had to stop thinking, otherwise his head would get dizzy. He didn't want to get here, he got sick. And it's not funny if he's taken care of with Khan.
Shanum immediately got up, his breakfast had already moved into his stomach. He washed the dishes and glasses without thinking. Because it is used to doing it automatically, every meal is finished.
Then he wrote a message on his phone to his two best friends. Saying that he will go down to Khan's ward, they can follow him there after being satisfied to rest.
Shanum picked up the small sling bag that he was carrying in his traveling bag, then stepped out of the penthouse.
Arriving in the long hallway to Khan's nursery, he runs into Abdan. The man looked down respectfully and asked about his situation. Shanum replied that he was fine with a smile. He knew the man was just making small talk, trying to be friendly to him. And Shanum appreciated his manners.
Abdan said goodbye after receiving a call through his cell phone. It seems there is something that the man has to do. Shanum nodded his head, and again stepped towards his original goal, the nursery of his lover.
The waiting room in front of the room looks empty. The girl pressed the door lever and bent her head inside. There he finds Eej staring at his cell phone. The woman immediately turned her head when she heard the creaking of the door. Eej smiled towards Shanum.
"Come in, Shanum," welcome Eej.
Shanum moved inside, and closed the door again. "How's he doing, Eej?"
"Still the same," he replied in a sad tone of voice.
Shanum heaved a sigh of relief at Eej's reply. At least at this time the events in his dream had not happened, and hopefully never will happen.
Shanum approached Eej, saying slowly that there was something important to discuss with the woman. He nodded, but did not comment. He took Shanum out of the room, and sat down on the sofa in the waiting room in front of the nursery.
"What's up, Shanum?" tanyakanya.
"Em, look, Eej... Is there anyone who is endowed with the power to enter into someone else's dream, or can make a dream in someone else's mind?" ask Shanum.
The woman did not immediately reply, her forehead even more furrowed deeply. "You mean asking like that, because what?"
Shanum sighed, then told her about the dream she had last night. All was expressed, and his voice sounded hoarse while occasionally choking, holding back the choking feeling from the thought of the sadness he felt.
Especially when he heard the heartbreaking screams and groans thrown by Khan. The girl could not cover her eyes that looked glazed over.
Khan's mother listened carefully, without ever cutting or refuting him. After the entire story was finished being uttered by Shanum, the woman let out a loud sigh. He seemed to be massaging his temple, then gazing towards Shanum with a doubtful look.
The woman cleared her throat. His eyes could not be separated from Shanum's eyes. "Well, such people do exist, and they are born capable of mastering dreams. They can enter any dream as they wish. And it can lead to dreams or mess with other people's dreams." The woman explained in a cautious tone of voice. It was as if he was sifting through his words first.
"But unfortunately the owner of that power is very rare. In comparison, out of a hundred people there is only one person who has that power. Usually people who have this power will not do their best to enter and ruin the dreams of others. Because it takes an incredible amount of strength from that person to bring out that power. The magic of the dream lord, attracts a lot of energy, and death will occur if the owner is not careful."
Shanum. "So don't rule out the owner of the power that went into my dream, is now dying so?"
"Maybe, if he is the owner of that power and is reckless to spend his energy. But it could not, if he asked for help from black magic." Eej was silent again.
"Black magic is dangerous. It has long been banned in our world. This magic is unpredictable, and also slowly devours the good qualities in the heart of the person using it. That person will turn into an evil monster, which will be difficult to control later on by anyone," Eej replied.
Shanum is goosebumps to hear Eej's revelation of the effects of black magic. His eyes then widened again, he forgot to say something, "It seems I'm sure he used black magic. Because in the dream I saw from inside Khan's body a thick black smoke appeared. Isn't that a sign of black magic, Eej?"
The woman froze. "You sure saw that, Shanum." The girl nodded her head. Eej's face became cloudy. "Everything you might miss told me?" ask again.
Shanum seemed to think. He bit his lips and was silent for a while. Then he shook his head. "All I've said, Eej."
Suddenly they heard a loud noise from the direction of Khan's nursery. The woman's face then paled, the voice sounded like an alarm sound that gave a warning of something. Eej immediately ran into the room, followed by Shanum.
The girl saw the loud noise coming from the ICU monitor next to Khan's bed. Eej smothered his mouth and shook his head. The woman looked shocked.
Shanum saw, before long one man and two women dressed as medics rushed into the room in a hurry. Shanum and Eej immediately moved to a corner of the room, not wanting to block the movement of those who were trying to take action against Khan.
"His heart rate is starting to weaken, Shanum" Eej said in a soft voice. Shanum immediately turned his gaze towards Khan and froze. He saw the medics working hand in hand to save the man.
Shanum feels weak. Now he who smothered his mouth, resisted the urge to groan sadly at the situation before him.
No, don't give up, Adri. Don't leave me.
The words were repeatedly echoed by Shanum in his mind. He then closed his eyes, and concentrated on jerking the bonds of their souls. He pulled her hard, trying to cling that bond into the arms of his soul.
Shanum felt a small splash of red-colored light flowing into him. But then the spark faded again. Shanum's heart aches. He tried to pull back tightly, and repeated the process as before.
No. I'm not gonna let it. You have half my soul, Adri. I'm not gonna let you go take him and disappear forever. I won't let it!
Shanum felt the spark return and now did not dim back. Shanum wanted to cry feeling a slight touch of the man's soul within him. Although it still feels weak, but better than before. Perhaps the coercion made by Shanum managed to get the man's soul back slowly into their bondage.
Then Shanum opened his eyes, seeing the medics had tidied up one by one the tools back to their original place. He heard the monitor sounding back as calm as usual and moving normally.
Shanum immediately let out a long breath. His chest still felt tight feeling the fear of losing the man. She turned to the side, finding Eej wiping away the tears that were running down her cheeks.
"For so long it never happened that his heart had weakened like before. That's what makes me so sure, he'll recover. And I wasn't ready for Shanum, not ready to see him leave me like his father" she said sadly.
"You can do that?" ask Eej in amazement.
"Actually, I reflexively did just that. Since we had a bond in our souls, I tried to pull it hard. And so grateful it saved him."
"Oh, thank you, Shanum." The woman immediately hugged Shanum while laughing softly. "You're the goddess of her salvation. And hopefully he'll heal with you."
"You don't have to thank me, Eej. I do it for myself too. He can't leave me to solve all this mess on my own. It's delicious!" he tried to joke. And Eej who was listening to Shanum's ridiculous speech immediately chuckled in amusement.
"You love my son, Shanum. I know, that's the real answer" he said with a smile.
Shanum. "Your son is full of charm, behind his coldness and coldness, Eej. How could I not be entangled to him," replied the girl with a red face.
The woman smiled seductively. "He's exactly like his father. I feel the same way about you, Shanum. I never even wanted to find a replacement. Although he had long since left me. My husband is irreplaceable" he said grudgingly.
Later, Eej asks Shanum to look after Khan. The woman wanted to rest for a while, after experiencing the panic from the frightening incident earlier.
Shanum couldn't possibly refuse. Because he did want to take care of Khan and started treating the man with his healing power.
Eej's gone to the penthouse. Shanum accompanied Khan in the room. The girl sat on the chair beside her bed. He pulled the man's arm and rubbed it. Then Shanum lowered his head and kissed the back of Khan's hand.
He felt a jerky reaction in their bond, and Shanum smiled. The man could still respond even though it was only through the bonds of their soul.
Then Shanum started to concentrate. He channeled his healing power. Slowly a golden radiance radiated from Shanum's hand. The beam moved through the entirety of Khan's body.
A speck of sweat appeared on the girl's temple. But he kept holding gently Khan's fingers. His healing power tried to seep into the man's burn. Initially everything moves dynamically without any constraints.
However, as the light moved inward, blackish smoke emerged from Khan's body.
Shanum flinched, he felt a powerful energy trying to hurl out his healing power. And its golden rays decompose simultaneously.
He felt his heart beating rapidly. The black smoke reminded him of his dream. Shanum then tried to return, he did not want to give up. But again his healing power did not manage to enter Khan's skin, and was blown away in the air like that.
Shanum became furious. He was so angry at the crazy man in his dream. It turned out that his speech was not just an ordinary bluff. Shanum can't help Khan. The man will probably prove his next point. And Shanum became anxious and confused, what should he do? What steps should he take?
Shanum circulated his gaze, feeling that something was wrong in this room. But after paying close attention, there was nothing strange there. But, I don't know why her little heart felt such unease. There was no one in the room but him and Khan.
But he felt someone watching him in the room. Shanum then shook his head and thought it might just be his feelings that were too paranoid.
Shanum bit his lip while holding his pendulum necklace, he was still thinking of Khan's healing solution. And when he was pensive to himself, he became reminded of the strength of the necklace around his neck. Could this necklace help him to heal Khan.
It doesn't hurt to try, Shanum. This necklace that unites your soul, and hopefully this necklace can also bring out miracles to heal.
The girl seemed to be talking to herself. Then he concentrated and pleaded in his heart to the necklace. Asking for healing for her lover. At first, no reaction occurred. The necklace remained like an ordinary inanimate object. Shanum continued to try to make his request.
He even began to feel despair in his heart. Without feeling it cry, all the fear, the pessimism, the anger, the sadness and the sorrow, he poured in that cry. Shanum cried as his hand held the necklace and next to it held Khan's fingers.
"Don't cry, Your Majesty. You can help him. And only you can."
Shanum immediately turned his head to the side when he heard a voice speak to him.
"Nephew..."
The woman smiled faintly. "Yes." Yeah."
"Are you really, Nekhii, Grandma Great Khan?" ask again.
"It's me, why are you confused? And em.. regarding Grandma Buyut's speech should not need to be said anymore." The woman then approached Shanum.
"I don't want to be considered old. Grandma Buyut is synonymous with the old word," he whispered with a smile.
The girl kept rolling her eyes while smiling amusedly hearing the woman's words. Nekhii smiled at him.
"Well, you're finally smiling. Don't be sad anymore huh," said the woman gently patting Shanum's shoulder.
"And about the cure for the Great, you just need to give your blood, Shanum. The blood of a person who possessed the strength of the four clans was a powerful medicine to resist the power of black magic. But you have to be careful. No one should know about this, keep it within yourself. Otherwise you'll always be in danger."
Shanum nodded his head in understanding. "Oh yeah, how much blood do I have to give, Nekhii?"
"Actually three drops is enough. But since the man is in a coma, you'd better use a blood transfusion."
"Em, one more, before I go. I cleaned this building and I gave it protection. There were a lot of invisible spies here, monitoring you. They can move freely through the Great. Inside the pores of his burning skin was a lot of hiding black magic. Now that I've sealed it, you can see it, the black magic won't go anywhere." Nekhii showed it to Shanum.
And he was flabbergasted as he looked around Khan there was a thin, pearly-white sheath that glittered. The veil would at first glance be invisible to the ordinary naked eye.
"Wouldn't it be a problem, if there's a blood transfusion? Can magic be liberated through this activity?" ask Shanum.
"No, any activity carried out against the Great will not affect the sealing of it. The seal will open automatically when all the black magic is gone from his body."
Nekhii gave her gentle smile and said, "I'm apart, Shanum. See you soon." Then the woman disappeared from the room. Leaving behind its distinctive aroma, the soothing scent of lavender.
Shanum shook his head while smiling, the woman also had teleportation abilities like Jullian and his father.
And then he realized, Nekhii had entered into his dream. He was also a dream master. Shanum clucked in awe, so wondered to himself, how much magic power does that woman actually have?
