From the corner of his eyes, Khan had seen a silver glint. But just when he wanted to turn his head to make sure, Shanum had already hugged him tightly while pushing them into the pool. He heard the girl gasp, only when he saw a red stain spread across his shoulder did he realize what was happening.
The girl received an arrow that was supposed to be aimed at her. The arrow stuck in Shanum's shoulder. The girl needs the help of a Healer right away.
The pool water around Khan turned red. Khan hugged Shanum, and in the midst of his panic, he saw the girl having convulsions in the middle of her unconsciousness.
Khan's eyes widened, his face paled. As soft as he could, the man hugged her, trying not to cry. "No, Shasha.." muttered Khan choking. "Please don't do this to me."
Then the convulsions stopped, blood began to flow from Shanum's nose, ears and lips. Makes Khan even more panicked.
No, no, no. His premonition actually happened, he saw the girl get hurt to save him. And he failed to protect her. She may...
Nah! Khan refused to believe anything other than that Shanum would be cured, completely cured, in total. But anger rose up inside him. So much anger and hatred, despair and pain, emotions were emitted into his bones. The pain made his head suddenly like a sledgehammer.
Khan sees flashes as he dives to save a girl, who turns out to be Shanum. Then as he blocked the speed of the arrow somewhere else to save the girl again. The glint suddenly appeared in his eyes like a movie on television.
Khan saw Shanum sobbing when he found him badly injured while facing Chinua. All those memories came back and made Khan's chest feel tight. He suddenly shouted very loudly, even the water in the pool was churning to form a series of waves.
The red light that was his strength was breaking down from his entire body. All who hear the grievous scream will be transfixed, some even shed tears, because it is so heartbreaking.
Khan experienced a deep sadness when he remembered that Shanum was indeed his lover. He remembered everything. The incident just now turned out to be a trigger for the entire series of memories back into his memory.
Khan flinched soberly, he had to immediately bring his girl out of the pool. He swam while holding Shanum a while later. While ordering his guards to call Jullian and Abdan.
After being on the lip of the pool, Khan jumped up and rested on the pool stairs. The weight of Shanum's body in his arms did not feel the slightest weight to him.
Once on top, Khan placed Shanum on the floor while resting beside the girl. Khan checked Shanum's weak pulse, then he noticed an arrow piercing through the girl's shoulder. Then broke the end of the log so as not to block his movement in carrying Shanum.
Khan did not dare to retract the arrowhead rashly, fearing it could trigger a harmful effect on Shanum's body. Then he saw the girl back in a seizure. Khan's face grew more anxious.
"Where are Jullian and Abdan?! Why did you call him so long?!" khan shouted while yelling at his guards. The men who had been on guard near Khan finally ran out of the room, leaving him alone there.
Khan swept his trembling hands over Shanum's eyebrows. "Stay with me, baby." Never before has Khan felt so helpless.
Then after the seizure stopped, blood flowed back from Shanum's nose, ears and lips just like before.
Seeing the sighting of Shanum covered in blood, almost killed Khan. The man immediately pulled Shanum's head, then kissed her forehead while muttering to himself. Acting crazy hoping Shanum can hear every word.
Khan continued to hug Shanum. The man also tried to channel his energy through their bonds. He hopes that the energy can react to his girl's body.
Along with the return of Khan's memories, their soul ties had indeed returned without a hindrance. And that restrictive wall disappeared from their psychic realms. Khan felt Shanum's body slightly warm up as he gave his energy.
Khan raised his head, he saw the bleeding had stopped. He wiped the blood from Shanum's nose and lips with his fingers gently. Khan did not care even though his hands were filled with Shanum's blood.
"I love you, Shasha. Loving you. I can't live without you" he muttered in a choked voice. Sadness emanated from her wet eyeballs.
"We're here, sir."
Khan looked up, he saw Jullian in front of him, and thrust a small towel at him. Khan accepted, and began to clean Shanum's face and ears with the towel. After that, he cleaned all his fingers covered in blood.
"You guys, have sterilized this hotel?" khan asked while circulating his gaze to the two. They nodded in unison.
"We're going to the mansion." Khan gave orders to Jullian. The man nodded his head in understanding, that his superior wanted to teleport straight to the mansion.
"And you, Abdan, take the others with you, take control of the situation at this hotel. Let no eyewitnesses see the scene just now, and look for the brash bastard who dared to harm my girl" Khan ordered in a cold voice to freeze her.
Everyone who hears it will feel fear, because the ice-cold vibration is not only on the surface, but also penetrated into the pores of their skin.
Abdan and the bodyguards immediately moved following Khan's orders. They gathered in one place, then split up according to their respective tasks that had been arranged by Abdan. While Khan with Shanum in his arms immediately disappeared with Jullian from that place.
They appeared right inside the outpatient room that was inside the mansion. Khan placed Shanum on the bed carefully. Jullian had disappeared back from the room. It wasn't long before she showed up with Lian's doctor and a nurse. They immediately moved quickly to check on Shanum.
"I have to remove the rest of this arrow from his shoulder. All of you please step back, give us some space. I suspect this arrow is poisonous" Lian said. Khan and Jullian withdraw at Lian's doctor's order.
"Please be careful Lian" Khan said with a worried face.
"You don't have to worry. I won't harm this girl" Lian replied.
They saw the doctor giving his nurse a cue with medical language they did not know. Doctor Lian pulled the arrow with a single pull, and Shanum's body immediately snapped.
Everyone froze when they saw the tip of the arrow that had been plucked earlier. Because in those arrowheads they see purple patches. Surprisingly the purple color did not blend with the color of the blood. It seemed that Doctor Lian's guess did not miss, the arrow contained poison.
Jullian approached Lian's doctor, then asked for the arrow. He watched it closely, then sniffed it. Lian frowned, then said, "This is the poison of the Demon Helmet, Sir. It's deadly, and there's no cure." Jullian gave the information to Khan.
Jullian knows the whole science of plants because their power is the power of nature. So the man could detect the poison coming from the herbs.
Khan swept his trembling hands over her wet hair. He was still shocked to hear Shashanya was exposed to a poison that had no cure yet. Khan could not accept if his lover could not be healed.
"You'd better change into Khan's clothes. Don't let your side down because of hypothermia" said Lian, who was next to her.
"I'll take you to the room, sir." Jullian tried to offer his teleportation service back. Khan nodded stiffly, then he immediately disappeared with Jullian.
Arriving at the door, Khan rushed in and headed to the bathroom and washed his body with warm water in the shower. He's moving fast. In just fifteen minutes, he had already walked back to Jullian who was waiting outside the room. Jullian takes Khan back to Shanum's nursery.
Not long after Khan went into the nursery, his mother came in. "What's going on, son?" ask the woman with a worried look.
Khan let out a loud sigh, he restored his hair. "Shanum saved my life again, Eej. He received an arrow to replace me." Then the full story flowed from Khan's mouth to his mother about the incident in the pool.
Eej looked surprised, he glared, then of the many things that the woman did, and made everyone who was there stunned was, the Khan's mother slapped her son so hard that he jerked to the side.
The former palm of the woman was also seen imprinting on the man's cheek. Khan palpated his jaw, but this time he was too numb to feel the pain.
"You stupid kid. What have you done?! It's not enough to hurt her heart, not even her body is now able to protect you!"
Everyone who was there no one dared to help Khan. They were afraid to see the anger emanating from the eyes of Khan's mother.
"Yes, Eej. I failed to look after him." Khan finally replied while choking. "He cannot be saved Mother, the poison has no antidote. If he dies, I'm going crazy, Mom. Does that make you feel better?"
Silent.
"Then you should try to find an antidote!" yelled Eej, the mother.
"I don't know how to." Confession is painful, very painful, and not in a good way. The woman sighed harshly when she heard her son's desperate answer.
Then Eej turned to look at Lian's doctor. "How's he doing, Lian?" tanyakanya.
"Very bad. I need to put a device in place to help him breathe."
"How long can he last?" ask the woman again.
"I can't predict it. It all depends on the physical strength and magic he has. Since this girl had powerful magic, it was likely that she could last at most one month."
Eej's eyes became clouded at the words of Doctor Lian. The woman stepped closer to Shanum and looked at him sadly. This girl saved her son's life many times. And his stupid son was still intent on wasting it.
"Jullian, you have to tell Shanum's parents. And bring them here. However, they should know about his daughter's current condition" orders Eej. Jullian nodded obediently then immediately disappeared.
"Please take care of this girl, Lian. I hope he can last more than a month. Because I'm gonna try to find information about the antidote."
"Let me find the antidote, Eej." Khan rebutted loudly.
"No need, you keep him here for twenty-four hours. I want you to see the results of your stupid deeds every day. And hopefully with that you can reflect on your mistakes, and realize that you've made a mess in this girl's life. So enjoy your guilt and torment, son."
After saying those horrible words Eej hurriedly walked out of the room. Khan's face looked pale hearing his mother's words. He did not expect his mother to be able to give him such a cruel punishment. It's not that he won't take care of Shanum. Even replacing his injured position like the current one alone he was very willing.
But seeing how pale and convulsive that occasionally struck the girl made her mind tormented. Khan couldn't see that.
"Remind me not to make trouble with your mother, Khan. He is terrible when he is angry. The punishment he was given could make even the most powerful man's guts shrivel." Doctor Lian sighed while shaking her head.
Khan ignored Lian's remarks. He stepped closer to Shanum's nursing bed and sat down on the chair beside the bed. Khan looked at his lover with a tormented look, he took Shanum's palm and rubbed it gently. Then ran the fingers to his lips, kissed him and left the fingers there.
He apologized to me. Please, I'm sorry. Oh my dear, you must endure! I will never forgive myself if you leave me. I love you, never intentionally... Oh, my Shash, because of me you're like this. I've hurt you a lot.
Finally the man collapsed from all his stubbornness. Her tears melted, down her cheeks. He lowered his head crying in silence while still kissing Shanum's fingers. Ever since Shanum was injured, the man who normally looked cold and stiff had turned fragile.
Doctor Lian and the nurse on duty there slowly walked out of the room. They gave the opportunity to the Great Clan's Altan to mourn for his lover.
On the fifth night, Khan awoke from a disturbing dream in the early hours of the morning, sitting upright in the room next to Shanum's nursery. His skin was bathed in sweat. Wiping the back of his hand against his damp forehead, Khan spread his gaze, his heart pounding.
Restoring the wet hair from his forehead, he returned to the constant background noise swirling around in his head. Can he save the girl, or is that too big a request?
For the first time in his life, Khan came across a problem with no real solution. The frustration caused by that awareness made it impossible to go back to sleep. Minutes passed before he finally gave up and got out of bed, wetting his face with cold water and getting dressed.
He exited the room and opened the door knob next door to where Shanum was being treated. Khan approached Shanum's bed, staring at his lover's face. Khan should have slept in Shanum's nursery. He had even asked Dario for a folding bed.
But Shanum's father strongly opposed Khan's intention. Since his arrival, the man has become increasingly hostile towards Khan. He did not hit her or injure her limbs, but the man's remark that he was the unlucky bearer for Shanum really struck her heart.
According to the man, he was no match for Shanum, as he always put Shanum in danger. And Shanum's father would never approve of Khan's relationship with Shanum, ever.
Khan was so afraid that if his girl recovered, she would be separated from him. Khan will no longer be able to meet Shanum. If it were like that later in reality, maybe he would lose his sanity.Without Shanum, his life was empty, and lost its direction. Since there was no Shanum by his side, he would lose some of his soul.
