The Woman Ruler of the Altan Clan

The Woman Ruler of the Altan Clan
Chapter 87 Re-Ending

Khan couldn't speak. He thought he was quite surprised by the sudden presence of the girl in his office.

"You won't answer me?" Shanum looked at Khan while raising his eyebrows. His eyes flashed a challenge to the man.

The man cleared his throat. Then he raised one hand and crossed it on his shoulder. The gesture was a polite gesture of plea from their clan. To Shanum's surprise, he looked a little embarrassed. The man then lowered his hand.

"I owe you an apology, Shanum."

Shanum's eyes were wide. Stupidly, he said, "Really?" then he remembered what happened. "Yes, it really has to be."

"I was wrong, Shanum. I feel angry at myself and me..." His voice sounded choked. Khan stopped in the middle of the sentence, he could not continue. He realized he couldn't get the girl in front of him out of his mind for the past week. The girl named Shanum dominated her life, whether she was sleeping or waking up.

When the girl was standing at the door, greeting her, hesitating to enter her study, suddenly wanting to undo her intentions. Khan was so shocked that any kind of rationality vanished. He even forgot to conclude with a huff earlier that the girl was not his lover.

The truth is, the girl affected herself, at the emotional level. Ever since he heard about the girl's whereabouts, matchmaking Selection and her near death, all three things provoked an extreme reaction on Khan. He made the girl his emotional outlet. And he admitted it was the first time it had happened to him.

Even so, upon seeing the girl's arrival this afternoon, just seeing her made that emotional reaction appear again. The desire to see the girl up close overlaps with the desire to keep her away. And this time the girl even challenged him to tell the truth.

He's gone mad.

Whatever caused him to react to the girl, he knew, he couldn't let her go anymore. Both because he owed her an apology, also for other reasons that were deeper and more incomprehensible.

Because you want him, whispered his inner voice.

Khan ignored. He did not dare to take the risk of making the girl run away from his grasp.

The girl still looks attractive in her eyes. This time he scrunched his hair, and Khan wanted to extend a hand to stick his finger there.

He clenched his hands.

"I feel guilty for you" replied Khan.

"That's all?" ask Shanum again.

The man nodded his head. And Shanum felt his heart decay fall. His hope turned out to be just a pseudo thing.

Suddenly the man asked, "Why did you change your mind, and finally be willing to meet me?"

Shanum gulped. "I thought, well, just curious about the information that you're looking for me. I thought you remembered me."

Khan shook his head. "I don't remember you yet, but I saw you in my dreams. Although your face isn't very clear, but I'm sure it's you."

Right now Khan's gaze was fixed long ago onto Shanum's face, intense. The man waited for his response.

Shanum. "I dreamt of you too. Every time, when I've been asleep for a week."

"Explain to me" pinta Khan with an interested face.

"Hmm, more often it's about our togetherness first. But in my last dream today, I saw you disappear inside the black fog which is very similar to the black fog that was in the pores of your skin when you were still under the influence of black magic" Shanum said.

Because suddenly awkward and embarrassed to honestly admit the contents of his dream, Shanum stepped back. "But maybe it was just a dream. Thanks for the apology. And i'm... I have to go." Shanum got up from his seat and turned around.

"Wait."

Shanum stop. His heart beats irregularly. Short breath.

Khan approached and stood in front of him. Surprisingly, the man said, "Can we start all over again?" He extended his hand while smiling. "I'm Khan Adrian."

Shanum knew he should have welcomed the man's hand. But he was even fixated on staring at the outstretched hand then turned to look at his intoxicating smile. The desire to grab the man's hand suddenly faded, and his short breath became congested. He had no defense against Khan Adrian with a smile that was very rarely shown.

Shanum had to push himself to breathe. He felt dizzy. And beyond all good judgment he found himself extending a hand before he could stop it. "I'm Shanum Qamira."

Khan clasped his hand and a jolt of electricity crept up on Shanum's arm, entering into his blood. He did not pull his hand. He can't.

Khan said, "Shanum. What a sweet name." The remark gave Shanum the urge to withdraw. He recalled the same seduction from that man in the past. Shanum almost clasped his hand to his chest, as if it had burned out.

The air between them seemed to be splashing. And the soul pair bond in him was pulsing faintly. Shanum saw the man's eyes suddenly festering, the man stared at his hand for a long time. It seems like Khan also felt their bond grabbing him.

"What just happened?" tanyanya's confused.

Shanum's mouth raised masygul. "It's a reaction of the soul bond between us."

Khan looked at him with an astonished expression. "The soul is real. I didn't believe it at first but now I can't reveal it. Feels like..."

Khan wanted to say like he felt whole, but managed to stop in time. That idea is too much. Sillier. Khan must have been shocked, that's all.

The man then cleared his throat. "Have you had lunch? Well, even now it's far from its time. But will you accompany me to this late lunch?"

Shanum hasn't eaten. He was in a hurry to leave. It was unthinkable to fill his stomach first. But that was not what made the girl doubtful. He was just not ready to feel the pain anymore. And Khan saw that expression.

"This is my way of apologizing for being rude" the man said to reassure Shanum.

The girl felt something sting inside her. Khan was just being nice, that's all.

"Thank you, really. But you don't have to. Its alright. I've forgiven you."

Even though his heart was still broken to pieces.

Shanum felt a stab of pain as he thought about it. Khan shook his head, "But this isn't just for apologies. I want to take you to eat to get to know you better. You. interest me."

Shanum's mind cheered. His hopes began to wiggle awake. Conflict had occurred in his mind and heart. His heart embraced that hope, but his mind rejected it outright.

"I'm..." Shanum was at a loss for words when he saw the glint of pleading from the man's eyes.

"Again thanks for the offer. But maybe that's not a good idea. I can't."

Before he could step back, the man scowled and said, "That means you're still half-heartedly forgiving me, Shanum. And unfortunately I force."

Wh why? Shanum wanted to ask that. But can't.

The girl raised her chin, "I don't like being forced!"

The man nodded. "And I will carry you, whether you agree or not. If you're happy we're a spectacle for people, just try it!" reply the man gave his threat while smiling smirk.

Shanum grunts. He should have been able to guess, if the man would definitely bring out his uncivilized attitude if he felt desperate.

"Okay, fine then," Shanum replied as he turned his mouth.

Khan was unprepared for the relief he felt. Most of the women he invited would be too eager to welcome his invitation. Shanum looked as if he was considering his call from so many complicated sides before finally making a decision. Khan felt that anything related to this girl was not as easy as usual.

"I know a quiet place where we can eat and talk. You don't mind if I pick the place?"

Shanum nodded his head in agreement. He did not know much about the good and comfortable places to eat in Astrakhan. So he better leave all that business to the experts.

They drive in silence. Along the way, the girl knew that she was the object of Khan's gaze. But Shanum tried to keep his gaze fixed on the scene outside the window. It's nothing, it's all just to cover up his nervousness. Shanum felt like he was on a first date with the man

A few minutes later their vehicle entered the gate that Shanum was already familiar with. Trees greeted his arrival. Memory after memory chimed into Shanum's head, even Khan's explanation of the mansion was not touched. Khan had no idea that Shanum had lived there.

Now the girl was remembering the beautiful and bad things she had experienced in the mansion. Good memories with Khan, bad memories of fighting against Chinua, and ended by happiness because they managed to work hand in hand to settle the dispute peacefully.

Shanum began to sob, half of his tears coming from happiness, when viewed from the sadness in his eyes, while he looked at the moving scenery of the car glass.

"Shanum." Khan grabbed his shoulder, taking the girl's face towards him. "What's wrong? Why are you crying?" ask the man.

Shanum lowered his head, but his chin was instantly grabbed by Khan. The man raised his chin, and urged a reply from Shanum through the look in his eyes.

"Ka-u took me to your mansion. This spot... I-i..." Shanum stammered, and could not continue with his words. He closed his eyes while sobbing. Then he opened his eyes again. And flinched seeing Khan wipe his tears with his fingertips.

"Don't cry, Shanum. If this place makes you sad, we'd better go somewhere else. Or postpone it another day" said the man with a sad face.

Shanum raised his gaze at Khan with a heartbreaking look of horror. It means they won't be having lunch together. A bitter taste suddenly crept up into his mouth so Shanum was afraid he would vomit.

Of all the things he wanted the most was to return to this place, along with the man of the owner. And now it's almost realized.

Shanum sighed in a trembling deep breath, avoiding Khan's eyes. "No. Do not move to another place, or postpone it. This place is right. I was just carried away by the memories of this place. Memories about us" Shanum said with tears welling up again.

Suddenly there was a warmth wrapping around him and Shanum felt himself being pulled into the rubble of the hard muscles. The masculine aroma enveloped him. He finally felt calm. Shanum seems to be coming home.

The girl was really thin and fragile in Khan's arms, her slender body trembling violently. The instinct of wanting to protect that Khan felt almost overwhelmed him. He was eager to trust Shanum, believing in their relationship. To the point that he can taste that desire.

Seeing Shanum crumble like this it felt almost as heavy as if Shanum showed a defiant attitude and won. Deep down, Khan was ashamed and blamed himself for letting Shanum step into the situation.

If it wasn't for her being off guard so that she could be caught up by the fire, perhaps the girl wouldn't have experienced this barrage of painful events.

Khan hugged Shanum for a long time, until the sedu sedu stopped. His hand moved up and down stroking Shanum's back, calming him down. Deja vu suddenly slammed into Khan's stomach, as a shadow of the exact same image appeared in his eyes. As he hugged the same girl after seeing the girl in tears.

Khan's body stiffened to fight the inevitable pain that arose with the appearance of those memories. Khan frowned feeling a great pain hit his head. He tried to hold it as hard as he could, his position still holding Shanum.

Shanum felt the tension that was happening to the man. She had stopped crying and her body had stopped trembling, now the girl was calm in Khan's arms. The man began to relax his embrace.

Shanum reluctantly distanced himself from Khan. His eyes widened to a point on Khan's nose. "Your nose is bleeding." Shanum took the tissue in his bag and gave it to Khan.

Khan calmly rubbed his nose. After that throw the old tissue into the trash. His face did not appear to be in such pain.

"You all right, Khan?" ask the girl worriedly.

Khan shook his head, then held onto Shanum's two shoulders, his eyes searching for Shanum's eyes. Why don't you call me Adri again, Shasha?"

Shanum's eyes were wide. He closed his mouth in shock. Without realizing it he shivered, even though he wanted to look able to control his emotions. Shanum felt he could not possibly return to tears just from hearing the man's astounding question.

"Actually I still want to discuss it with you. But unfortunately we've been there since, Shasha. And I don't want them to keep fidgeting waiting for us outside the car" Khan said with a dikulum smile.

Shanum immediately turned his head, he was shocked again, it turned out that they were already in the lobby in front of the mansion. He had been shocked a lot since that man.

Khan then gestured to the guards who were outside to open the door for them. Shanum got out of the car, followed by Khan. And Khan reflexively grabbed him into his arms until Shanum seemed to spin, when he saw Shanum almost fall. The girl suddenly felt her legs so limp that she was unsteady.

Khan said grimly, "It seems that I should carry you, Shasha." The man then changed his position to be what he said just now.

Shanum tried to protest, unfortunately he was too weak, he resigned. Being in Khan's arms like this made her feel like a fragile girl who was easily crushed by the pressure.

Shanum was completely unaware when Khan took him in the elevator which then moved up to the top floor, or when Khan took him down the corridor, then a door swung open and led them into the dim room Shanum knew to be the man's room.

Khan gently sat her down on the sofa and said, "It's okay if I leave for a while?"

Shanum nodded, feeling guilty. When Khan hugged him, he already felt a million times better. Khan got up and Shanum watched as the man pressed a number on his phone.

With his other hand, Khan took off his suit. He unbuttoned the topmost shirt with his long, slender fingers, and Shanum's mouth became dry.

Khan spoke in a low tone on the phone. "Please send the food upstairs. Thank you." Thank you."

Khan put his phone on the table and disappeared into the bathroom. Shanum could hear the sound of running water then Khan appeared again and crouched down next to him. "Is there anything you need right now, Shasha?"

Shanum shook his head. "Nothing." Although in his heart he wanted to say, I only needed you by my side.
