The Woman Ruler of the Altan Clan

The Woman Ruler of the Altan Clan
Chapter 78 The Lunglai

Shanum looked at Jullian's back away from his sight. The man gave him time to digest the news he brought. Had Diva not taken him to a chair before the bad news was uttered by Jullian, he might have been sitting limp on the ground at this time. Diva can read that the news that Jullian will bring is not good news.

Shanum was still frozen in place, no words were spoken from his lips. Let alone to speak, to see clearly he could not, tears burned his eyes, flowing down his cheeks endlessly.

His chest ached, as if someone had stabbed and ripped out his heart. Shanum did not know if he would be able to see Khan's condition without being blown to pieces.

Why is this happening?!

What if he doesn't manage to save the man with his healing magic?!

Before he completely lost his sanity and started hitting someone, or injuring himself, he reached his bag under the chair. He did not find her, and did not realize that one of his companions had placed the bag beside him. Farah took it and thrust it into Shanum.

Shanum nodded in thanks silently to Farah.

"We're sorry, Sha," Diva said.

"Yes. You should go there. Don't let you feel regret for the rest of your life. And may your beloved be healed" continued Farah.

"Thank you" he replied in a hoarse voice. Tears still battered his eyes. The girl then pulled out her phone from the bag and seemed to be contacting someone.

"Hallo?" A soft voice rang out in Shanum's ears.

"Mom, I want you to go to my place now. I'm in the park to the left of the multipurpose building."

"Son...are you crying?"

"Please, Mom and Dad should come here! I'm. I'm..." The girl's voice choked, she could not continue her words.

"Okay, Mom and Dad are going there now" Shanum's mother replied quickly.

Then Shanum closed the call. He looked back at his friends.

"You are my best friends" he said, "and I need you to come to Astrakhan with me. I need your support. Please!"

Farah and Diva looked at each other. "Can we be there by them, Sha?" tanya Diva looks doubtful.

"Of course I can. I'll force it if they forbid it."

"But I had to get permission with my parents first yeah, Sha," Farah said.

"Sama, I also have to ask for permission." Diva commented.

Shanum exhaled, then he nodded. However, he understood that his two friends still had to say goodbye to their parents. Had they not been allowed to leave, Shanum would not have had the right to force him.

"Oh, God, Princess, what's wrong? What the hell's going on? Are you all right?" cut Dimas's. Shanum's father and mother came to his daughter with anxious faces.

"Dad..."

Shanum immediately stood up and hugged Dimas while crying again. Raisa, the mother noticed with a confused face, half worried.

"What's up, honey? Come on, tell me to Dad," urged Dimas. The man brought Shanum back to sit on the chair.

"Nothing happened to me, Dad. But that's-that's..." His voice was stifled, he came back crying. The girl had no power to reveal what had happened.

"Good day, sir...Mommy." Jullian suddenly appeared and was in the middle of them. Both old man Shanum was shocked to see the man.

"Hey, you're here!" Dimas turned to look at Jullian. "Since when have you come, son Jullian?" add Dimas.

Jullian smiled faintly. "Izin asked, Sir. Is the show over?"

Dimas frowned. The question is answered with the question also of course makes the man confused. "The talk was done from before. What's up, huh?" replied Dimas with a suspicious tone of voice.

"Are you and your family happy to return home, sir? There's something important I need to tell you. This cannot be discussed here, because there are already too many people around us" Jullian said politely.

After a few seconds, Dimas did not answer. Doubt was evident in his pair of eyes, but then he nodded. "Okay, we're back home." Dimas turned his head towards Raisa and Shanum, inviting them to leave the place.

"Wait, Jullian! There's something I want to ask you" Shanum said in a slightly loud voice. Everyone who was there in unison stopped stepping and gazed at him. "Em, is Farah and Diva any chance of coming with me?" ask Shanum.

Jullian nodded. "We thought you were going to ask for it. So right now a plane has been set up to take your friends to Astrakhan. Even if you and the Madam want to come, you can too, sir," replied Jullian.

"What's? To Astrakhan?" Dimas frowned increasingly confused. "What is this really about? Why should my daughter go there?" The man did not seem to like the conversation he was hearing.

"We'll talk at home, Mas" Raisa cut. Shanum's mother seemed to have been able to suspect the circumstances that were going on. There was no way that his daughter would have cried like that, if it wasn't for something painful happening to her.

And at the moment there are only two things that trigger in Raisa's mind, which is about her daughter's nightmare or about Khan, her lover.

Dimas exhaled, he tried to cool his emotions that had started to ignite. "OKAY. We're talking at home." They then continued their steps to move away.

Shanum and his two best friends split up in the car park, Diva and Farah return to their homes. Shanum said nothing when he met the parents of his friends. She gives Diva and Farah the chance to talk to their parents first.

Along the way to the house, Shanum remained agitated. He clasped his handbag tightly and stared at the car window for a long time, until his father's voice resuscitated him. Shanum looked up at him. The car door was opened, and they were home.

Dimas reached out to grab her daughter's hand, realizing Shanum needed her. The girl's legs felt fragile, as if her legs refused to walk as usual. Dimas held her hand tightly, worried that her daughter had suddenly fallen. They stepped towards the front porch, and saw Jullian already waiting there.

They all sat in the living room, waiting for Jullian to start his conversation. Jullian repeated his words to Shanum and his friends. Raisa's face looks shocked. But Dimas' expression remained flat. After Jullian finished, there was still no reaction from Shanum's father.

Shanum looked at Dimas' face while biting his lips. "How's Dad? Can I go to Astrakhan?"

Dimas tightened his jaw. His face does not look like it. The man was still heavy on taking his daughter away to that place.

"Dad.." urged Shanum again.

Dimas. "No. I won't allow it."

"But, sir-" said Jullian.

"I don't want my daughter to go to any harm" cut Dimas.

"And I will go, even if you don't allow it" Shanum said.

Everyone in the room turned to Shanum. They saw an angry expression on his face. His eyes stared at Dimas sharply.

"Shanum was disappointed with Dad. All this time Dad taught me to help people in distress. And not be a coward. But it turns out, Father's teaching is only in the mouth, not followed by appropriate behavior." The girl shook her head.

"Khan is dying now. Shanum's power is needed to save him. Despite Dad's dislike of him, you shouldn't be so selfish."

The words of his daughter hit Dimas. His face paled and left him speechless. The man remained silent, neither refuting nor trying to twitch.

"I'll be back soon Jullian. You stay here." Shanum got up from his seat, and stepped with his back straight. The shock experienced earlier was seen disappearing in an instant by anger. He did not look back, and walked quickly to his room.

Raisa turned to her husband, then said, "I can't believe how petty you are, Mas! If you keep acting like this, then you'll lose your daughter. Please think with common sense!" The woman then moved after her daughter, leaving her husband who appeared to be sitting limp in his chair with a crumpled face.

"Son, may you come in" Raisa said as she knocked on Shanum's bedroom door. Suddenly the door in front of him opened. His daughter's face was gloomy, her eyes were swollen from crying a lot.

"The bad father Ma'am. I can't believe he could be that cruel!" shanum said in a hoarse voice.

"Shhh, be patient, son! You can go, I let her. About Dad, let it be Mom's business. I hope Nak Khan can be saved." Raisa held onto both of Shanum's cheeks while rubbing her tears.

"Here, don't cry anymore! You have to be strong, son. I believe you can help him. And whatever you're going through there, there's no shame, you can complain about Mom. Please call me, son."

Shanum nodded. "Thank you, Mother. Shanum dear Mother." The girl hugged Raisa tightly.

"Now let's get ready, I'll help you. Don't let Nak Jullian wait too long." The woman took off Shanum's embrace and led him to the closet.

Shanum nodded his head. Then open the closet and take out the bag. Then he began to dress the clothes he wanted to carry on the bed. Raisa helps to neatly insert and arrange the clothes in the bag.

"Oh yeah I forgot, I had to put aside a set of clothes to put in a handbag, Mom."

"For what?" ask Raisa wonder.

"I'll have Jullian take me to Astrakhan by teleportation, ma'am. I'll drop the big bag on the plane."

"You didn't go by plane?" ask Raisa again.

Shanum. "I want to get to where Khan is being treated, ma'am. Want to see the condition immediately, and can't afford to spend more time on the flight feeling anxious."

The woman smiled faintly. "Hmm, I understand." Raisa knows, her daughter is already impatient to see the state of the man her adoration. The worry reflected in his eyes since in the campus garden earlier. After all was done, the girl took a towel on her hanger.

"Shanum take a shower first, ma'am," said the girl. Shanum brought with him the clothes he would wear in his grasp.

"Okay, I'll wait in the living room. Later I will ask Bi Inah to help bring this bag to the living room" said Raisa. Shanum nodded in response, then he rushed towards the bathroom.

After finishing his bath quickly, Shanum headed to the living room. He saw that his two friends were waiting there. They smiled at him and were replied by Shanum with a wide smile following a nod of the head to the two.

Shanum circulated his gaze around the room, but did not find his father there. The girl looked sad, she sighed deeply.

"Father is in the room, resting. He said his head was a little dizzy. So can't see you before you leave. Later I will tell Dad about your departure, yes" said Raisa.

The woman knew her daughter must be looking for her father. And she also knew that her husband would not leave the room until Shanum left.

Before the man went to the room, Dimas told him that his husband had asked him to let Shanum go. And Raisa understood, the man still felt heavy to let go of his beloved daughter.

Shanum nodded, then turned his head towards his companions. "You guys are going by plane. I'm not with you guys, and I'm going to follow Jullian by teleportation."

"You're not with us?" repeat Farah with a surprised tone of voice. He looked towards Shanum with an expression as if jealous.

"Yes, Sha. Wouldn't it be a problem if we came?" timpal Diva with frown.

"For immigration documents, everything is taken care of, Miss. Don'worry. You will be escorted by my colleague Abdan, and I will take Shanum right to the bedside of the Great One safely" Jullian said, taking over Shanum's supposed answer.

"Remain said Jullian. I really want to get there soon. And I'm sure he won't take me to somewhere in the middle of nowhere, or suddenly appear in the middle of the ocean." Shanum tried to joke to cover up his anxiety.

"Of course not, I could have been killed by the Great if it brought you to a dangerous coordinate point." Jullian replied still with his flat face, while casting his gaze towards the three girls.

"Okay, then we must leave immediately" Abdan interrupted. "We're leaving, Mam." The man half bowed before Raisa. Followed by Jullian. While Shanum and his two best friends took turns kissing the back of the woman's hand.

"Be careful, son. Don't forget to tell Mom" Raisa's message to Shanum. The girl nodded her head then stepped closer to Jullian.

"I'm ready, Jullian." Shanum stood upright clasping tightly onto the backpack he was carrying.

"Okay, don't be surprised if you feel nauseous, dizzy, twitchy, and a little pounding. The initial reaction of a person who has never teleported would be like that" Jullian said.

"Kok sounded familiar huh those words," slurried Shanum, cutting off the man's sentence.

"That's a warning sentence behind every medicine package, Sha," continued Diva while giggling amusedly.

"Ah, yes. You just remember, Diva," Shanum replied as he grinned at the Diva.

"okay... You can embrace my hand, Shanum. Hold tight, do not let go, no matter what happens. If you feel like fainting, just tell me and..."

"Why aren't you the only one embracing me, Jullian. So as not to bother should I hold on tight," Shanum cut.

Jullian suddenly stiffened at Shanum's words. He's a little bit away. "Em, for that... I-i..." Jullian looks very nervous. He scratched his hair.

"You'd better embrace the girl's hand, Ian. The Great will not know. He's in a coma." Abdan's voice was heard interrupting while smiling amusedly at his own behavior.

Jullian instantly regained his senses and he stared intently at Abdan while snorting. Abdan did not reply, he was busy laughing increasingly loudly.

Shanum noticed the interaction of the two with a diculum smile. He then gestured to raise his arm so that the man could hold it. But Jullian was still in his place.

The man increasingly looks wrong behavior, especially under the observation of ten pairs of eyes that look at him with different expressions.

"If you'd like to talk to Shanum, I'd be willing to be your training partner, Jullian. You can try to embrace my arm before you leave. Who knows you're not nervous anymore" Farah suggested with a serious expression.

"Well, that's your dream, Farah. Oh, my God, the mode is so creative!" chirped Diva while chuckling.

Farah's face immediately blushed embarrassed to hear the curse of the Diva.

While Jullian immediately gawked at Farah's suggestion, then he smiled thinly while shaking his head. "I'm not nervous to embrace Shanum because she's a woman. According to Abdan, I was more worried about the consequences I had to face when the Great One knew." Jullian circulated his gaze towards everyone who was there.

"When Shanum was unconscious, I tried to offer to carry him. Because I see the Great One has been overwhelmed to spend the energy of time making a shield in the events on the basketball court the other day. You guys know what he's doing? He looked at me as if he wanted to finish me off right then and there" she continued, grimacing in horror.

"It's okay, Jullian boy. Later Mom will tell him, that this is Mother's proposal. I'm glad you took good care of Shanum, so nothing happened to him on the way." Raisa tried to mediate the discussion that was quite tough.

Shanum sighed. "So now how is this? If you keep insisting you don't, let me do it" Shanum said in an annoyed voice.

Jullian tried to open his mouth, and Shanum immediately gave the code to him to shut up. "I don't accept rejection, Jullian. The whole consequences let me bear!" Then the girl approached Jullian and pulled his arm. He grabbed the man's arm.

"Quick do! If you're still reasonable, there's no need for Khan, I'll tear you to shreds when we get there!" said Shanum with a tone of voice.

Jullian gulped his saliva, not expecting it to turn out that the Great One's partner was so sadistic. They really are a good couple. Equally firm and fierce.

Then Shanum felt his world spinning fast, like a person stricken with vertigo. He clutched Jullian's hand, then closed his eyes, unable to hold his increasingly ravaged gaze.

Shanum and Jullian had already disappeared from the room. Leaving the four shocked people to hear Shanum's threatening sentence against Jullian. Especially Abdan, his face looked deathly pale. Then a few seconds later, there was a ticklish sound coming out of the mouth of one of them.

"Just calm down, he can't be serious. I know my daughter" said Raisa. The woman laughed while shaking.

"Yes, Shanum can't be that extreme" continued Diva. He was accompanied by a nod of the head by Farah.

Abdan let out a sigh of relief. However, he did not want his partner to be wretched. Jullian had already considered him like his own family. It would not be worth it if his death were to be based on such a ridiculous thing.

"Okay, then it's our turn to go. The plane should take off in an hour" Abdan said. Then the three of them say goodbye to Raisa and leave the house immediately.
