The Woman Ruler of the Altan Clan

The Woman Ruler of the Altan Clan
Chapter 130 The Recessed

The next morning, Shanum sat on a rock, facing the Illusory Field. With a bit of sadness Shanum muttered softly. "I've done your wish, Uncle. I hope you can save your son."

Shanum recalled that when he woke up from his nightmare while in the Illusory Field, he had felt very restless. He felt that the request of the man who helped him would not be possible. Shanum can't help a man who's been spreading evil in the world.

Shanum found out who the helper meant from the moment the man made his smile. The man's smile was very similar to that of Avraam and Sergei when he smiled. The two dimples were identical to decorate the faces of the three men. Shanum believes the three clearly have a blood-bonding parent and child.

And it was not clear what the man meant was Sergei, because the man was not in need of rescue. Except maybe from his very beautiful fiancee, who made Sergei's face always bent restless when he was next to her.

Shanum snorted loudly. Don't think he didn't notice. Shanum was very serious about watching the behavior of the two people. He still felt he could not accept that one of his best friends would be victimized by the man's actions.

So, if not Sergei, there is only one more person who was asked by the man in the Illusory Field, namely Avraam, the twin brother of Sergei.

Sane and reasonable women will not be willing to help the man who has kidnapped her, make her separated and quarrel with her husband, spread division, and end up with a fight challenge until death.

Even after Avraam's kind demeanor and attention during his time in his clan, or his protection when he was attacked by Sintai so-called events though. He still felt heavy to grant the request of the mysterious man in the Illusory Field.

But even though he told himself to ignore the request, he still could not do it wholeheartedly.

Shanum still helps Avraam in the last seconds Khan will break the man's head.

Beyond her will, her magic moves on its own to thwart her husband's actions.

Shanum is acting crazy.

She pushed hard on her husband.

More than insane, he conceived the proposal to throw Avraam into the Field of Illusion to Khan and everyone.

Though he knew, that was what the man in his dream wanted, to save Avraam in the protection of the Illusory Field.

"It's not good that a moping woman is here alone. Especially if what she thought was a man who wasn't her husband."

Shanum was so shocked when he heard those words of reprimand. And instantly changed his expression when he saw Khan who had reprimanded him. Shanum stared at Khan while squinting. "What makes you think I'm moody because of a man, Adri?"

A look full of probes appeared on Khan's face. "Because I saw you staring grimly at the Illusory Field. And recently there was only one man who would welcome his death in there." The man showed direction with his chin with the jaw hardened.

Silent.

A stiff expression was seen on Khan's face. "Don't tell me you're feeling sad about her, Shasha."

A nearly hysterical laughter threatened to come out when Shanum heard the accusations. He hoped he would not have to answer. At least for now, he was unwilling to add new problems that would be dizzying to him. Especially in the face of men and their possessiveness.

"Why don't you answer?" khan urged.

"Don't start a fight, Adri. I'm not willing to serve your unfounded accusation" Shanum replied.

Khan stared at Shanum's eyes sharply, diving into its depths, as if the man wanted to strip Shanum of the secrets that Shanum was hiding. "I can't believe it. You must be hiding something from me. I can feel it, Shasha."

Numb of shock, Shanum found himself standing and staring at Khan firmly, to cover up his anxiety. The woman averted her eyes, looking back at the Illusory Field.

What choice does he have? whispered a voice in the corner of his mind.

He couldn't have let Khan know. The man will certainly be furious when he finds out indirectly Shanum has saved his biggest enemy. Oh my God, he felt like he was being led to the gallows.

Shanum's stomach felt heartburn as soon as he imagined himself having to face the man's anger.

She always considered herself a brave and even tough woman. Surely he cannot be afraid. But even his courage was not comparable to this situation.

So, what should he do?

Saying frankly to her husband? Or lie for the sake of their peace?

But, if one day her husband finds out Avraam is still alive from someone else, what should he tell the man?

All sorts of options paced around in his head for nearly fifteen minutes, finally Shanum drew an already unavoidable conclusion.

He should have told Khan.

However often she told herself that her estimation of her husband's reaction was certain. Deep in his heart, Shanum knew that in the whole world only Khan could trust to understand his entire actions at that time. And hopefully this time his trust does not miss a boomerang for himself.

Not giving himself time to change his mind about what he was going to do, Shanum turned his head.

And he found Khan still waiting for him in silence. The man was staring far ahead, towards the illusory Padang, following the action Shanum had taken earlier.

With a slight hesitation, Shanum moved closer.

"Adri, i..." Shanum hesitated for a moment, looking at a handsome face that strangely looked foreign because the man still did not want to look back at him. His eyes continued to be directed to the field.

"I'm having a dream," Shanum admitted.

Khan stiffened while his golden brown eyes were squinted. "When?"

"Before Duongan Sakhai's fight."

"What is the content of the dream?" khan asked in a cold and stiff tone of voice.

Shanum sighed and turned his face away from that sharp look. He could not think clearly that Khan was looking at him with his legendary expression.

"In that dream I was inside the Illusory Field," I Shanum.

Khan's eyes were puffed up, shocked expressions visible in both of his beautiful eyes.

"Then?" ask Khan.

When Shanum remained silent, Khan stepped forward and gently stroked her shoulder "Shasha?"

Shanum closed his eyes, knowing that the time to acknowledge the truth had come. Unfortunately, that awareness doesn't make the task any more enjoyable.

Shanum raised his hand, directing his fingers around where they were standing. And a transparent white light appeared from those fingertips, forming a protective pattern around them.

"Now no one will be able to see or eavesdrop on our conversation" Shanum said.

Khan frowned. But not replying to a single word, he remained patiently waiting in his position with a curious face that was clearly visible.

Shanum took a sitting position back on the rock. "You've guessed that I'm keeping a secret" Shanum said in a soft voice. "A secret I can't tell anyone else."

"And does this secret have anything to do with the content of your dream?" ask Khan again.

Gently Khan squeezed Shanum's shoulder, his breath touching Shanum's cheek as he approached.

"It's definitely not too bad, Shasha."

"Oh, this is very, very bad, Adri."

"Tell me, dear," urged Khan gently.

Taking a deep breath, Shanum turned around slowly. Replying to Khan's gentle gaze was probably the toughest thing he had to do. He could not imagine the trust Khan had in him would soon be shattered. That guy will be disappointed.

"I know the Fields of Illusion won't kill Avraam."

As expected, Khan looked at Shanum in confusion. "What?"

"In that dream, I met a man. He saved me from the hallucinations that took me. And the man begged me to save his son. Asking me to take his son to the Illusory Field."

Sentence after sentence was like being held in his throat and Shanum clenched his hands over his lap so that he would not collapse. "The man said it implicitly, not blatantly mentioning the name of his son. But I do know. Who's that son."

Surprisingly, the shock Shanum was waiting for did not appear on Khan's handsome face as the man shook his head slowly.

"How can you guess the man's son is Avraam?"

"They have the same smile and dimples."

"Did Avraam know, he was immune to the Illusory Field?"

"I don't know. If he saw his expression when he was delivered there, I don't think he knew it. His face looked half desperate, as if he knew he would not be able to escape alive from that field."

Suddenly Khan's hand was raised and gently touched Shanum's almost pale cheek. "Why?" the tananya is brief with a soft tone of voice.

"I had no other choice, Adri. My conscience rebelled when I wanted to reject the request of the man in the Illusory Field. My soul seems to be guiding me to give a favor to his lost son."

"Do you like Avraam, Shasha?"

Shanum. He had never thought that far about his feelings for Avraam. It was hard to force his stiff lips to reveal what he was feeling.

Shanum gave a loud sigh. "I hated him at first. But after interacting for months my feelings began to shift, the resentment was partly turned to pity, for the lonely expression I often saw in the eyes..." Shanum shifted agitatedly, then got up from a sitting position without daring to stare at Khan. He looked back at the Illusory Field.

"And also a bit of awe, for his devotion to his clan. You know, behind his evil attitude, Avraam was a wise leader for his people" Shanum finally managed to admit.

"But I still hate him if he starts acting like an asshole and sneaky. Even at the last moment when he hurt you, I honestly wanted his death."

Khan's face hardened in anger, remembering the incident. The events that almost made him approach the angel of death.

"Then why did you help her?" sahut Khan with a stiff tone of voice restrained the anger.

Without realizing it Shanum licked his dry lips, knowing exactly that Khan's golden eyes were observing his every expression.

"I remembered the hopeful face of the man in my dream. If it wasn't for his help, maybe I'd be crazy."

Khan gasped sharply when he heard Shanum's words. "You hurt?"

"The physical injury is not, but psychically, perhaps... It was as if delusions and reality overlapped, leaving me confusedly mixed in fear. I don't even feel like I'm dreaming. It feels..." Shanum's words came to a halt and he suddenly covered his face with his hands.

All the horrors he felt when he was in the dream returned to him like a physical attack. That sense of crampedness, fear, and madness that almost took away his consciousness, was more akin to a nightmare incarnating into reality.

Turning to embrace Shanum, Khan wrapped himself in warm comfort.

"What's up, Shasha?"

The power that Khan exerted prompted Shanum to raise his head slowly and face his fears.

"I was suddenly in a fog, confused about the change of place and time. Because my last memory is being in bed in your arms. Then, I suddenly felt invaded by fear that suffocated me to the point of asphyxiation." Shanum's entire body trembled in Khan's embrace.

"I became panicked, shouting your name until my voice was hoarse. But there was no answer, everything was silent. And that silence was strangely pulling loose all my sanity."

"Oh, my dear," whispered Khan softly, "you must be tormented."

"It was terrible there. I kept going from side to side hoping it was all a dream, and I woke up. However, in the end when I began to resign, almost giving up on the madness that would rule my soul, I heard a voice that tried to pull me to walk according to his guidance. With his direction I survived, making it out of that terrible fog. I met my guide. The middle-aged man who made a wish with a sad face, he asked me to help his son. After I nodded my head, the man left, and I was back in your arms, on our bed" he said.

Khan stroked Shanum's back to comfort him, his eyes full of affection. While Shanum resignedly rested on the strength of her husband's body, she received all the warmth from the man to reduce the weakness in his body.

"Thank God you're safe."

"Yes" Shanum replied briefly. Without the man's help, Shanum is convinced he will be caught up in the nightmare.

Shanum turned his head towards Khan and gulped with difficulty. "Are you going to judge me, Adri?"

Away, Khan raised Shanum's chin gently but firmly. Looking deeply into those agitated eyes, he smiled, "Judge?"

Shanum licked his lips while mustering up the courage to continue.

"Because I have freed the enemy." Shanum's eyes darkened as he looked at Khan desperately. Khan immediately remembered that Duongan Sakhai's rule should be a fight to the death to pick up the losing side.

And if the one who should have died suddenly rose from his death... Khan was tired. He did not dare to think of the furore that would happen back then.

"Well, I admit. You've made my position difficult, Shasha."

Shanum bit his lips hard until the blood spilled. The movement showed how depressed he was. Kontan Khan rubbed him, his eyes darkened, then he shook his head. It was as if the man was reprimanding Shanum for not hurting himself.

"If all my actions are revealed, what will happen to me, Adri?"

With a heavy heart Khan moved away from Shanum's trembling body. He must concentrate on finding solutions to the problems Shanum is asking. It was an impossible task if he was close enough that the soft, silky heat of Shanum covered him, with an injured lip that he wanted to immediately taste until he was healed.

Feeling the fear that struck his wife, made him want to embrace Shanum so that he could show the depth of comfort with the additional passion he wanted to express.

Khan painstakingly removed the dangerous desires that plagued his body and turned his attention back to the dangerous actions Shanum had done.

"Nothing will happen to you. As long as no one else knows," Khan calmed Shanum down with confidence.

"You sure, Adri? What if Avraam suddenly shows up?"

There was a long and tense silence before Khan replied, "If Avraam survives, as long as he does not reveal to the people that he is immune to the Field of Illusion, then people would only consider the man very lucky to be able to survive from that place."
