Khan let go of his embrace. He sat on the ground with Shanum. The man breathed heavily while erasing back the trail of tears on Shanum's cheeks that continued to flow. All the pain that the woman felt filled their bonds, making the man feel his tightness.
"Shasha," Khan muttered in a gasping tone.
Shanum was still in disbelief, until he looked into those eyes. Those beautiful golden brown eyes.
Shanum doesn't let himself believe that it's nothing but a delusion-
"But how is that possible?" shanum said as he laid out.
Khan's expression looked sad. "I'm back for you. You brought me back."
Shanum's cry exploded again. He held Khan tightly. To make the man flinch.
Mercifully. Oh, thank goodness. Don't leave me again, Adri.
Khan finally returned his wife's embrace tightly. The man closed his eyes, sniffing at his wife's intoxicating fragrance that never bore him.
*So I met my father, Shasha. I can't get close to him. It was as if there was a barrier separating us. Dad smiled at me and congratulated me, saying I'm very lucky to have gotten such a wonderful soul mate. He told me I couldn't hurt you. Then I heard your voice call out to me, asking me to stay by your side. I looked back at Dad and he said, I have to go back. My soul mate needs me. After that there was a very strong energy that pushed me. I crashed, then when I realized, there was Nekhii beside me*.
Khan stretched their arms. His eyes stared deeply. He lifted Shanum's fingers to his lips, stuck them there, while still staring fixedly at Shanum's eyes.
The man's breath in his fingers made Shanum's blood instantly rustle. And the fixed look that those golden eyes emitted, made his throat feel thirst.
Khan held his fingers hostage, then whispered in his skin so quietly that only Shanum could hear him.
"I reveal it through my lips, Shasha. I promise you, I hope you will always remember. I try to always be by your side. And I think you know why, about how much I adore you, my Queen. Just like you know I'm always not willing to lose you."
Shanum nodded with his eyes back in tears. He's trying to hold it. Tears are not needed to flow anymore.
It was fitting that the happy smile she showed her husband, and Shanum made it happen, a sweet smile rose from her lips. A smile that depicts that she believes in the love of her husband.
"By the way, I love your new eyes. The color is so beautiful." Khan kissed the corner of Shanum's eyes while smiling shadyly.
"Netra new eyes," Shanum repeated as he frowned. The sudden change in their subject made him a little confused.
"Look." The man raised his hand, the hand moved in a circular pattern, a form of visible fog, further solidifying and Shanum saw a shape of face bouncing there.
The fog is like a mirror. Shanum could see himself there, with his eyes having changed.
"It's..." Shanum blinked, once, twice, then turned his head.
"Like the color of your eyes?" shanum lirih.
"Yes. The only difference is that your iris is surrounded by black" Khan said.
"How can you?" Shanum's expression looked astonished.
"Of course you can. You absorbed your husband's magic. Now the magic power is inside you" said someone.
Shanum turned to look at the woman who was talking. The woman approached. A smile rose on his lips.
"We meet again, My Lady."
"Nekhii?"
Shanum stood up, followed by Khan. A wide smile rose from Shanum's lips. The woman standing before him had helped him a lot all this time. In a difficult situation, Nekhii would appear for him. And he suspected the appearance of the woman this time, surely because there was something important as well.
"I'm happy to see you again, My Lady" he said, placing his hands on his chest as a symbol of respect.
Shanum. "No, Nekhii. You're my husband's grandmother. Don't call me that. We're family now. Just call me by my name" Shanum said.
Nekhii did not agree or deny Shanum's request, he simply threw a knotty smile at him.
Then Eej came forward to Shanum followed by two women.
"Shanum, meet Changia, Sergei's mother. And next to him is Armaa, Sergei's fiancee."
The two women smiled as they saluted like Nekhii. And Shanum replied with a blank look.
The woman was stunned when she heard one word of introduction from Eej, the word fiancee. When he regained his senses, he immediately turned towards Sergei with a slightly sharp look. And the man returned Shanum's gaze with just a wry smile.
Shanum turned his gaze back towards the two women. He stared fixedly at Sergei's fiancee. Look at the woman named Armaa from top to bottom. It did look disrespectful for the first introduction, but Shanum could not curb his curiosity.
Armaa is a very beautiful woman. He has a soft face with a tiny body. Her appearance and body gestures reflected that she was a classy lady from among the nobility. And he had a magic aura from his body. Shanum can detect it through his powers.
Armaa is very inversely proportional to her best friend Diva. His friend is just an ordinary man. Although Diva comes from the rich, still her behavior is not polished smooth like the woman. It looks like Diva will suffer a severe heartbreak if she finds out this information.
In his reflection, Shanum heard a cynical tone of voice. The voice revealed quite a great hatred.
"Decolourize. What are you doing here for," said the voice.
Shanum sighed tiredly. The man named Avraam still started looking for a return. He doesn't think it out. What's in that guy's brain. Was he not tired, thinking of endless grudges.
Then the sound of mantras blurted. Black fog was visible at the boundary of the horizon. Roll up, get closer to them. Shanum squinted his eyes. It seemed that man had enormous guts. With his body bound, he still dared to cast an assault spell.
A watchful look was seen from everyone's view when he saw the scroll of fog moving closer. Shanum saw Nekhii stepping hastily towards Avraam.
"Stop, granddaughter? You've made enough mess this time. I don't want to keep fixing that mess again" Nekhii said, raising his hand. Shiny black light ******* the black fog roll until it has broken apart.
Shanum stared in amazement. Nekhii managed to stop Avraam's magic easily. And what makes Shanum more stunned, Nekhii has black magic as well as Avraam.
Shanum threw a questionable look towards Khan. And Khan returned his gaze with a stiff face. The man's jaw is seen tightening.
"There's no need to stop me, Damn Old Lady! Just get the hell out of here again." Avraam threw out a speech with a sharp tone full of anger. "You ruined my plan" he said.
"Oh, it seems like you want to see me finish off your dear granddaughter huh," the man said again with a grin. Avraam started casting spells back.
"Enough!"
Shanum shouted loudly.
"Don't say that mantra again!" Shanum made Avraam's mouth mute with magic. Which of course was rewarded with a sharp look from the man. But Shanum is not his name, if he is daunted by a gaze. Women just grunt and take their eyes off.
Shanum's gaze turned to Nekhii. "So that son of a bitch is your grandson, Nekhii?"
Nekhii sighed loudly. "Yes, he's my grandson." His eyes look sad. "Before I found my soul mate, I was married and had a son. Avraam is my son's son."
"And he is also my son" continued a woman's voice.
Changia advanced towards Avraam. His sight looks sad. "Finally I can meet you, son. After all this time I've been looking for you."
Avraam snarling. He tried to free the magic bond on his mouth while widening his eyes towards Shanum. It was not the sadistic look in Avraam's eyes that made Shanum willingly release magic on the man. But seeing the clear view of Changia that made Shanum moved to wave his hand opened the magic defender.
The man snarled. After regaining her voice, she said, "You are not my mother. My mother is dead. Never say anything ridiculous, Old Lady. Till any time I'll never assume you guys exist."
Changia flinched backwards. His face paled, slowly tears flowed from both sides of his smooth cheeks. Shanum saw Sergei immediately come forward grabbing his mother and hugging her.
"He's your brother, son. Your twin brother," the woman told Sergei, sobbing.
Sergei pulled his mother away, kept hugging her without saying a single word. From his position the man's eyes squinted sharply, as if Sergei wanted to tear Avraam to shreds because it had made his mother cry.
Shanum went into Khan's warm embrace. Although shocked to hear the conversation that had just happened, he did not ask further.
"Stop that look of yours. I don't need your judgment. They were nothing to me" furious Avraam broke the silence.
Shanum sighed tiredly. He felt so wrong. The complicated pedigree that happened to her husband's family made her head want to explode. She did not dare to imagine how her current husband felt. When he found out that the man who had wanted to kill him and wanted his wife turned out to be his cousin.
Shanum tried to reach her husband through their bond, but the man completely sealed their bond. Khan did not want Shanum to know his deepest feelings.
Shanum. "Nephii. There's something I want to ask. You were just saying, about the possibility that I have the power of Khan. Does that mean that's all his strength?" Shanum asked as he glanced at Khan and found the face still cold and stiff.
Nekhii turned his head, he took a deep breath and smiled. "Only you can answer Shanum. For I have never seen such power all this time."
Shanum saw the expression of gratitude emanating from Nekhii's eyes. The woman realized that she had deliberately asked to divert the increasingly tense situation.
Then the woman looked seriously at Khan. "What I still don't know is the continued effect on Khan's power. He could lose some of his power."
"Will he be okay?" shanum asked in an anxious tone.
Nekhii threw a glance towards Khan. "Do you feel any strangeness in your body?"
"No. After you've channeled your inner energy, I feel completely normal." Khan answered quickly while running his fingers to Shanum's back, rubbing her gently. His actions dampened the anxiety that Shanum had felt.
"What if you're wrong?" a loud voice came from beside them.
Shanum turned his head, he looked at Zuunaa stepping closer together with Oriod and Sofia.
"Ah, it turns out that there are representatives from the Bataar Clan in this war." Nekhii threw his mysterious smile back.
"of course. We are supporters of Khan Adrian. So of course it will be here to help him" said Zuunaa.
"What do you mean he could be wrong?" chinua continued while looking curiously mixed seriously towards Zuunaa. "What do you know?" ask again.
"I mean, it could have been that the Great One had not lost his strength at all. And I don't know anything. This was purely in my mind," Zuunaa replied quickly, as if the woman was horrified by Chinua's expression of intimidation.
Silent.
"What if we all saw him in my fight against him."
All the heads that were there turned simultaneously towards the source of the voice. The silence that was created before, was solved by the speech that the voice cast.
"I asked Duongan Sakhai" he continued.
A voice is heard from all who hear it. Perhaps only Shanum looked confused, not understanding the meaning of the figure's last words.
"What does that mean?" shanum asked, his gaze observing the people who were fixated around him. He quickly leaned forward and looked at Khan with his eyes fixed. "Tell me."
"He asked for a fight to the death" Khan said with tightened jaws.
Shanum turned his head quickly towards Avraam, seeing the man grinning. So did the grin that he saw from the lips of Taban and Sintai so-called events.
The tremors of anxiety turned into a cold fear within Shanum. It seems that the bad man is still trying to separate her from her husband, using various means.
"Don't do it, Adri," whispered Shanum.
Khan shook his head. His expression grew darker. It was as if the man was restraining the turbulent emotions within him.
"Don't tell the Great Khan Adrian no guts." Taban tried to spread his incitement.
"Oh, shut up, you son of a bitch!" shanum snapped as he moved closer to Avraam.
"Take up that challenge. You've been bothering me enough all this time. If you don't want to pull it, then you have to prepare for your death. I no longer hesitate to kill you" he threatened as soon as he stopped in front of the man.
The haughty lag that Avraam often showed was not apparent as he screeched violently. There was no longer a gentle man attentive to Shanum. Avraam's eyes flashed vilely, as if all the attention he ever did was a ruse.
"Very embarrassing! It turns out that Khan Adrian is hiding behind his wife's skirt" Hina Avraam.
"Yes, he turned out to be a coward" Taban continued to give incitement.
Shanum immediately advanced, alternately punching Avraam and Taban in the face. "Shut your rotten mouths!" After he was satisfied to put three strokes on the face of both.
The sound of a broken bone fracture the first time he finished off the faces of the two men did not dampen his desire to continue hitting.
Avraam was stunned, more out of shock. And Taban could not fight back, he could only stare at Shanum with growing hatred.
Blood flowed from both men's noses and from one corner of their lips. Both faces look terrible. Shanum's punch was indeed not to be underestimated. Before she had magic, she was also a Karate black belt holder, who had often won championships in her country.
The two men spat out the blood that filled their mouths. Shanum punched them without mercy, leaving a trail of torn lips and a broken nose.
"If you don't pull your challenge, then all the bones in your body will crumble like your nose" Shanum told Avraam.
"Good job, Shanum. If necessary, disconnect the two vocal cords. Let the two no longer be able to get foul words out of their mouths" Chinua said, chuckling in amusement.
"You... Lovely Lady!" Taban growled furiously as he stared intently at Chinua.
"Shut up!" Shanum yells.
He approached Taban. His eyes squinted and raised his index finger towards the man.
"You, damned man, ungrateful. Still dare to talk. You've made me feel like a loser. Pretending to be nice to me, it was trying to stab me in the back. What a bad thing my husband has been to you. He already thinks you're a brother. Even when you were dying in a Chinua attack back then he was trying to save your life. Even if I did that in the end. I saved your life. You should owe me your life, asshole."
Shanum's face looked reddened, his breathing snorting out his anger. He pointed at Taban in front of the man's face. The woman was very furious, witnessed the betrayal of Taban who had been considered like a friend.
"So you better shut the fuck up. I don't want to hear your voice anymore. What do I need to do as Chinua suggested earlier, cut off your vocal cords?! Or do I want to cut your neck?!"
Shanum returned to where Khan stood. Leaving behind a stiff and cold expression on Taban's face, the man no longer let out a sound. Looks like Shanum managed to silence him.
"I'm still waiting for your answer, Khan Adrian. My challenge still stands. Don't be a coward." Avraam again launched his incitement. The man was not deterred, even though Shanum was already trying to scare the man.
"No need to be lured, Adri. Let me take care of this son of a bitch."
"Oh, so how are you gonna take care of me, My Queen. I'm really curious to hear your story about it. Are you going to offer yourself completely to me. I'll immediately cancel the challenge, if you swear to be mine."
"Berinsk. I'm gonna kill you, Avraam. And I accept your challenge." Khan clenched his hands as a ferocious rage engulfed him, not for a second did he think anyone could have his wife.
Shanum closed his eyes while taking a deep breath. Trying to contain the anger that will come to the surface. His efforts turned out to be in vain. Her husband is already hooked and caught up in the evil man's plans.
He glanced at Avraam who was smiling satisfied to find the plan worked. Instantly Shanum gripped Avraam's shoulder. "Cancel that challenge!" he said, waiting for the man to answer with a threat. Shanum clutched even louder, until a ringing sound came from Avraam's lips. The man did not budge to undo his challenge, only the sound of enduring the pain was heard, although Shanum almost crushed his shoulder bone.
"You can't tell him to call it off, Shanum." Nekhii's voice sounded close to his ears.
Shanum turned his head with a sick smile on his lips.
"Why can't it be canceled?" ask with ketus.
"Because your husband has already welcomed the challenge" Nekhii said in a grim tone. The woman grabbed Shanum's hand, trying to free his grip from Avraam's shoulder. But Shanum did not take off his grip just like that.
"I don't need your help" Avraam said in a squeaking voice enduring the pain. The man remained firm in his stance to not want to be helped by Nekhii.
"In any case you're still my grandson, Avraam." Nekhii's face was getting grim. "
"Detach, Shanum. This is not how you help your husband. It's all been happening. You need to be ready. Like I'd have to be able to lose one of my grandchildren."
Nekhii tried once again to release Shanum's grip, and this time he succeeded. Shanum released Avraam's arm half-heartedly.
He was trying to shake off the fear that made his stomach break down. His body feels weak. Not because of the energy he spent in gripping earlier, but rather the bitter reality that he just heard.
Shanum couldn't believe it, hearing that the challenge could no longer be undone. And the fact that he had just made the two brothers would kill each other to fight over it, made him hit by horror.
Although Khan is the only thing that matters.
The only thing that means. However, Shanum also could not help but feel guilty towards Nekhii. Avraam was also the granddaughter of the woman. If the man died, of course the wound would be etched in his heart. But she had to keep silent to watch her husband return to death.
Quiet for a while until Shanum could master his baldness, he walked slowly towards Khan.
"Adri" he whispered in silence. "You sure you're gonna do this?" shanum Urge.
With a grim nod of his head. "My honor will be stripped away if I cancel it, Shasha. And for the rest of my life, I will no longer dare to look people in the face. But all of that is still not the most important thing. I'm not gonna hand you over to him. I'd rather die than see you go with her."
Shanum gasped for the sudden fury covering him. "Then what about me? You don't think about my feelings. What if you get killed in that fight?" Shanum clenched his hands on his side.
"You guys, and this rule of challenge and honor is ridiculous. Times have changed, but still use such barbaric rules. I hate having to get involved in this sickening thing. I hate you for your decision, Adri. I'd better go, not be here to watch you die."
Shanum moved to leave Khan, but the woman's arm was pulled by the man. Khan moved so quickly that Shanum did not have time to react before he lowered his head and pressed his lips against the woman's lips violently and deeply.
The tongue of fire smouldered as Khan gulped a fury-clad sweetness at Shanum's lips, injuring his lips and narrowly stripping his clothes. Frustration had clouded his mind before he finally regained consciousness and drifted away.
Closing his mouth with his hands, Shanum said nothing. It was really a rough treatment, and was done with the audience. The shame, of feeling harassed made his heart ache. Shanum's lips swelled up and bled, his clothes were also a mess.
