Shanum managed to run away from Chinua before the queen came back and attacked. Tired of using magic power, the woman hit Shanum in the face, so hard that her teeth pierced her own lips. Chinua again injured him before Shanum could fall.
He punched his stomach which felt like it sucked air from his lungs. Shanum flinched then leaned over to hold his stomach. Behind him Roman attempted to fight Chinua's forces. He couldn't do much, because they were just the two of them. The queen has a lot of troops.
It seemed like Shanum heard Roman's scream. Grimacing in pain, he turned his head and saw Taban moving agilely, green-colored tree roots darting, forming tendrils that lead to the queen. Shanum was relieved they finally got reinforcements.
Taban attacked the queen with his power. The last time Shanum saw the man was still lying unconscious on his bed. Taban's new strength this time Shanum see. He guessed that man's strength was a force of nature. The root tendrils bind the hands and feet of the queen.
The woman shouted furiously as she was pulled upside down in the air with her head down and legs up. Chinua could not move. Then from the side position he saw the red glow of fire that belonged to Khan. It stuffed the woman's mouth. The fire didn't burn his lips, but it was hot enough that it would burn him if Khan wanted to.
Chinua is still trying to untie the root shackles of the plant. He was swaying in the air. His mouth was shut. It was funny in Shanum's eyes. He tried to hold back his laughter.
But the overflowing excitement in Shanum's heart instantly evaporated, changing with worry. The feeling ran through his body like a crippling poison. He saw the woman managed to release one by one the shackles.
Chinua's power splashed and spread throughout his body. Starting from the red flames of Khan who dimmed, continued the tendrils that bound his legs and hands dried up and shattered. The woman twisted her body in midair, then landed smoothly back on the ground.
Chinua laughed dismissively. He immediately moved quickly towards Shanum. The girl did not have time to dodge as Chinua pulled Shanun's hair right at her roots. His grip was so brutal that his eyes were watering. He dragged Shanum into the middle of the battle. It's amazing his guts.
"Stop your attacks. Otherwise this girl will die instantly," he growled. Chinua's grip on Shanum's hair grew tighter. Fighting ceased. The fury that scrunched Khan's face seemed to make the world doomsday. His golden brown eyes turned towards Shanum. Command without sound. The man had already taught him how to regulate energy, his mind as well as his body. And Shanum also has the martial ability to protect himself from attacks.
Shanum being silent does not mean he is weak or giving up on losing. But he is returning his energy. Spending out power was extremely energy consuming. As if Khan knew that one day this would be very likely to happen. He knew Shanum's strength was still elusive and could not be controlled.
Chinua was indeed clasping her hair, but her strength had also locked onto the girl's body. But Shanum could still channel some of his energy slowly into his fingers, he should be able to move it. Otherwise, his hopes of freeing himself would run aground.
"Why do you keep insisting on eliminating me? I never hurt you?" shanum asked, trying to shift Chinua's focus. "My answer is only one. You're fucking inherited my brother's blood." Chinua replied with annoyance.
"It's not too late, you know," muttered Shanum reluctantly, grimacing in pain on his scalp. He did not know if he was able to defeat Chinua even at full strength, but his feeling of fighting fairly demanded that he at least try to convince this woman, to avoid a deadly bloody fight.
"Too late?" Chinua grinned, his other hand raised to circle Shanum's neck with punishing air pressure. Shanum groaned in pain, but refused to back down. "I thought you could change if you really wanted to" Shanum said. Chinua laughed amusedly. "You mean I can be a kind, loving queen?"
"That's kind of," Shanum said raspingly "And I guess that includes not killing you?" Chinua stared hard. "That could be the first step" Shanum said. The air pressure is slowly getting tighter, causing a very tightness and pain. The woman then slightly relaxed her pressure. It seemed Chinua was interested in his words, he gave her a chance to speak.
"You're stupid." Chinua grunting. "Not just someone who understands that being pursued with a lifetime of vengeance is no fun. And a life without love will make you miserable." Those overwhelming blue eyes lit up, as if overwhelmed to stop Shanum's soft words.
"You better let go of the girl, Chinua." Someone came out from behind a tree. Stopping the pressure on Shanum's neck. Chinua was astonished, "Dario," he said. "It's me, I shouldn't be here. But I can't, Chinua. I have to help wake you up."
Chinua concentration divided. Shanum seized the opportunity. He wriggled, spun on the ground, and smashed his shackled free leg into the sidelines of Chinua's foot. The queen collapsed, bowing with a growl. Shanum clenched his hands and pointed right at Chinua's nose. His bones were crimped and his hair was released free from the clutches. Shanum rolled over, freeing himself. Khan was ready to pull it. He hugged and took Shanum to a safe place, by his side.
Chinua rubbed her bloody nose, then stood up straight again. He growled furiously. "Fuck man, you screwed up my concentration." Dario looked bitterly smiling. "Give up Chinua and leave this place, we'll let you and your men go."
"It's only in your dreams. Attack!" Chinua shouted out loudly to give his soldiers a cue to go back to pounding their enemies. The punch of iron with iron clang to all corners. The queen's soldiers were releasing wooden arrows and magic, but bounced when they hit Khan's red antidote.
Dario fought Osbert with his sword. Sergei moved agilely shooting his blue light magic. While Khan and Shanum are shoulder to shoulder with each other to install an antidote.
Many casualties fell. Including Taban and Roman who were injured. They immediately withdrew from the battlefield. Khan and Shanum managed to break through Chinua's defenses with brutal efficiency. And Chinua shouted as Khan's sword pierced his stomach. Chinua's blood stained the ground. The woman's face paled in shock.
A moment ago Khan let his guard down, because he felt that he had succeeded in injuring the queen. Yet Chinua was so cunning, he pretended to be weak by bending his body. But the woman prepared her magic and the blue light hit Khan. The man was thrown and fell to the ground. Shanum growled furiously.
"I won't let you hurt us again" he cried disgustedly. The girl released all of the energy that was in her body, and golden-colored flames lit up all over her body. Chinua swallowed his saliva, the golden fire, like Xanadu's prophecy. Shanum's black eyeballs are now surrounded by a golden light.
The girl lunged at Chinua until she bounced off the ground. Then Shanum directed the blazing fire in his hand at Chinua's body lying on the ground. Before the woman managed to wake up, Shanum released the golden flames. But suddenly a body figure stood in front of Chinua, blocking the pace of the fire. He took out a sparkling white magic shield.
But the shield could not withstand Shanum's fire power. The man was dragged backwards while trying to resist the rate of fire power. The power of the shield could not last long, then it exploded in the air like glass shattering into shimmering fragments. Shanum moved backwards, his face looking deathly pale. The golden fire struck the man's body. He gasped and screamed as his body started to burn. The man fell to the ground with his body still covered in fire.
"Noooo!" Chinua screamed loudly. The sound of his screams shook the place. Chinua instantly unleashed his blue magic so that the fire immediately extinguished on the person's body. The fire went out, but the damage was done. Chinua tried to move towards that person. He shuffled while holding onto his wounded stomach.
Shanum fell to his feet, tears appearing to crack on his cheeks. Khan approached the girl and pulled her up, then hugged her. Everyone there stopped fighting. They all looked at the scene. Chinua's forces gathered around Chinua. They protect the queen.
"Don't do this, Dario. I never asked you to do it. You fucking guy! Why must you reappear in my life!" The woman growled furiously. "I'll never be able to see you die, Chinua." Dario said while panting.
"You may torment me as you please, but you can never destroy what I feel for you" he said. Blood filled his mouth, dripping between Dario's lips. The man's face blistered, as did his entire body. Her clothes were burning. But Chinua did not care, she still hugged the man.
"Please don't talk anymore." The woman's eyes were glazed. Chinua continued to channel her healing energy, although she herself also needed that energy.
Dario smiled and looked at Chinua's face. His hand reached into Chinua's face with great difficulty. Chinua pulled the man's hand gently and rubbed it against his cheek. Dario's breath was hunting, yet he smiled weakly. Then his hands wiggle, his body relaxes and he closes his eyes.
Chinua was stunned, sparkling tears emerged from his eyes, and began to trickle down Dario's face. Chinua could not hold back her tears. Shanum heard a trembling sobbing burst from him. The cruel queen whimpered bitterly, while hugging the body of the man. Shanum's chest felt tight, the woman turned out to still have a speck of love. Not like a female demon who is always bloodthirsty.
Shanum raised his head. "You're okay," asked Shanum hoarsely. The girl realized that the man had also fallen. Khan shook his head while smiling faintly.
"Is Dario still alive, and can we approach them?" shanum asked back. "Dario is alive. I can feel his energy, even though it is very weak. But Chinua is trying to channel her healing power. I think he'll survive."
"He has that power too?" cut Shanum. "Yes, you are one bloodline, that power could be an inheritance belonging to your clan."
Khan was silent for a long time. "For us to be able to approach them or not is all up to you. To be sure that woman is still dangerous, even though I didn't expect to see her like that." Khan took his breath. "Like a normal human being" the man replied again.
Shanum bit his lip, he was still hesitant. Suddenly a sound of punching. They all looked to the place where the voice came from. Xanadu smacked Chinua in the face. The queen flinched, her cries were dying. He rubbed his face while gritting his teeth.
"No need to cry, leave the man. Don't be like your father who is weak because of love" hardened Xanadu.
Chinua narrowed her eyes. "Whatchu mean? Why do you know about that damned man?" furious Chinua. Xanadu. He moved back, trying to dodge. "Where are you going, Old Lady?" Xanadu wanted to escape.
But he was stopped by Sergei. "Say Xanadu, he needs to know" Sergei said. Xanadu was still silent, his face hardened. "It's none of your business, traitor!" xanadu beras said.
"Well if you don't want to say it, I'll say it. Xanadu is your father's former fiancee" Sergei explained. "Shut up!" xanadu. Chinua frowned. "How did you know?" ask him to Sergei.
"I once accidentally touched him and looked at his past," Sergei replied with a sly smile. Xanadu's face looks great. He tries to trick Sergei into escaping.
"Oh no, don't try." Sergei snapped his finger. Then time stopped for a moment. All were silent, yet still able to hear and speak. Only those options can still move normally.
"Hey, if you have this ability why don't you stop it from time. So I don't have to fight these people" Taban protested. "If I do it right away where it's exciting." Sergei replied with a smirk smile. "Basic Crazy Man!" gerutu Taban's.
Shanum squinted his eyes, he looked at Sergei sharply. "He can't just use that power, Shasha." Khan said while looking towards Sergei. "That power drained his energy" Khan added. Shanum turned his head towards Khan and furrowed his brows. "How did you know?"
"I've heard of the elders of my clan. There are some people from the Batzorig Clan who can stop time. And they're usually noble descendants."
"You mean, that Sergei has blue blood?" Khan frowned. "The blue blood means the same as the nobles in my country" explained the girl. "Oh, it means the same. Yeah, it's flowing in his blood," he said.
"Oh no, it's getting harder for Diva" Shanum whispered. Khan pulled the girl's hand. "No one can oppose destiny, Shasha. If destiny says they are a soul mate, then no human can stand in his way."
"Since when have you been wise like this, Adri," Shanum teased. Khan looked at Shanum gently. "Since I met you, Shasha," he replied. Shanum fell silent, he was at a loss for words. His heart throbbed happily hearing the man's words.
"Why are you still silent, Old Witch?" Chinua's eyes were squeaking suspiciously. Xanadu looked towards Chinua by raising his chin, as if he refused to say anything. "Say, Xanadu!" Otherwise I will cut your neck," Chinua snapped.
Xanadu closed his eyes, then opened them again, he was still considering how much information he needed to tell. "Yes, I'm your father's ex-fiancee" he admitted.
"Is there any more?" ask Chinua. Xanadu shook his head. "He's lying" Sergei cut. Xanadu growled, he tried to rebel. But in vain, his body still could not be moved. Chinua immediately snatched the man's words. "Alright, then you tell me, what do you know." Chinua had Sergei tell her.
"You sure want to hear my words." Sergei made sure to come back. "Yes, I want to know. Tell me quickly," Chinua said. "Stop! Don't you try to say it, asshole! I'll repay you." Xanadu insisted on blocking it. Chinua grunted in disdain. "He's a shithead himself."
Sergei did not comment on the old woman's threat. "It's really none of my business. But my little heart is tingled." He let his words be absorbed, then approached step by step until his face and Xanadu's face were only inches away.
"He felt a deep hatred for your father. So she kidnapped you as a baby and raised you by filling her lying trash in your mind. It's as if your parents dumped you and didn't love you" Sergei said.
Sergei's words hit Chinua so fiercely that he retaliated fiercely, "How do I know you're not lying?" Sergei laughed harshly and disparagedly. "If you don't believe me I'll show you."
"Wait a minute, I'll recover." Chinua closed his eyes, meditating to heal his wounds. They looked at Chinua and waited for him. Everyone was more curious to see the woman's reaction, although knowing the continued disclosure of Sergei was also quite interesting.
Shanum also wonders what more magic Sergei will do. The man had a myriad of incredible magic, to the point of impressing Shanum. Chinua opened his eyes. He got up from his sitting position. The wound on his stomach had closed, leaving a tear on his clothes.
"I'm ready. What am I supposed to do?" Chinua crossed the distance between him and Sergei. The man turned towards Xanadu. "I'd better keep his mouth shut first. He can be noisy, and he will ruin my concentration. Please you can sit or stand, we'll all watch a movie." Sergei grinned then he closed his eyes. His fingers widened, holding Xanadu's crowns. Then start casting spells.
Slowly a white mist appeared before them. The fog began to solidify forming a rectangular field that was quite wide. They all gasped, as images appeared on the dense field of the fog. "It's amazing, I'm like watching a movie, even though the screen is smaller." Shanum nodded.
The images that appear form story snippets. Shanum rubbed his nape when he saw footage of Xanadu kidnapping Chinua as a baby. Then the grief of his parents, for the loss of their little daughter. Then came the treatment of Xanadu during this time against Chinua. What a brutal treatment to do to an innocent little boy.
Shanum smothered his mouth, he turned towards Chinua. He saw Chinua clenching his hands, his face cold. Shanum's heart was pounding. Oh my God, if he became Chinua he might be destroyed, unable to endure all the torture he endured.
Shanum saw Chinua standing under the cloudless sky with the sun stinging his head, there was nothing around but trees, no shadows he could hide in, no shadows, there's nothing to hold on to.
Shanum tightened his embrace on Khan, the girl blinked her eyes. Trying to withstand the sadness that hit his mind. Even though the woman was his ancestor, they had the same blood ties. He felt angry at Xanadu as well. The old woman was so vile.
He saw Chinua's disheveled face. The pain and fatigue are there. A face he never showed to anyone. Except that day when he saw Dario burning. Shanum watched the woman deeper. It's complicated Chinua's life. I don't know what that woman is going to do now. When all the truth is revealed before him.
