The Woman Ruler of the Altan Clan

The Woman Ruler of the Altan Clan
Chapter 30 Admitting Defeat

When the footage stopped, Shanum was relieved, at least he didn't need to see for too long. The girl turned her head towards Chinua, assessing her reaction. From the beginning until the show was over, the woman kept her hands clenched.

Her face is getting colder like the temperature in Antarctica. His jaw was hardened and his mind was illegible. An atmosphere of silence, no one dared to open their mouth to say anything. Everyone has their own opinion. What is certain is that many gazes of pity are visible in the eyes of most people.

Sergei opened his eyes, he staggered a little. When time goes back, everyone can move his body as before. The man sighed. Grain of sweat appeared on his forehead and above his lips, his face looked tired.

Sergei has expended a lot of his energy. Khan moved forward towards Sergei. Every Chinua soldier is on standby. But Sergei didn't ignore it, he took something in his pocket. A bottle filled with liquid instantly gulped it greedily.

"I'd better tie this old lady up. Worrying he's running away." Khan bound Xanadu's hands and feet with his power. The old woman looked dazed and limp. He's been sitting on the ground. The process of recalling the past memories with Sergei's power also affects him.

"Actually without you to tie up he won't be able to fight back, Great One. He will be like that until tomorrow" Sergei said.

"Let it, tie it. I'll try to channel my energy to him so that he recovers soon, "cut Chinua flat. The woman approached Xanadu, then gave her healing energy. "I want to hear it straight from his mouth. There's still something unanswered."

Sergei moved away from the crowd. He was standing next to Shanum. "What did you drink?" shanum asked curiously. Sergei smiled, his handsome face already did not look pale. "Only hereditary potions to recover magic energy."

"Is there such a potion?" Shanum thought energy drinks only existed in the normal world, not the magic world. "There was. You wanna try it?" Sergei thrust the bottle of potion.

Shanum looked hesitant. But he kept taking the bottle. "Is it safe?" Shanum opened the lid and sniffed the contents of the bottle, he was still suspicious of the potion. The girl closed her nose and kept the bottle away.

Face paled. His stomach immediately wanted to vomit. He hurriedly returned the bottle to Sergei. "Why? It smells bad." Sergei asked with a suspicious smile. "Huek, the smell makes you nauseous. What's this made of?" Shanum looks horrified staring at the bottle Sergei is holding.

Sergei chuckled amusedly at Shanum's expression. "These are just a few plants mixed into one. It feels better, not like it smells." "How can you stand drinking it? Don't you have the magic to make your nose Anosmia." Sergei laughed again while holding his stomach. "There's no magic like that, Shanum."

"Keep you can hold it. It smells really bad, you know." Shanum's face began to pale again as he recalled the rotten smell of the potion. "I swear, I still can't believe your stomach's okay." Shanum shook his head while laughing in wonder.

They were still engrossed in laughing together, as Khan appeared beside Shanum. His face was cold and stiff. The two instantly stopped laughing, they felt a chill emanating from Khan.

"Shasha, come with me." Khan immediately pulled Shanum away from Sergei. The girl followed Khan's pull, but her head kept turning towards Sergei while rolling her eyeballs. Sergei grimaced and smiled understandably. He understands Khan Adrian doesn't like any guy who's close to his girl.

The afternoon began to come, the atmosphere at the location of the battle was still the same. Both sides have maintained their ceasefire. Chinua waited patiently for the reaction of her healing power to react to Xanadu. Shanum and Khan have been helping some of the wounded.

Dario was also taken to the mansion. After Chinua nodded his head, Khan asked him that he would move the man's body. Khan opened a portal to the mansion to carry the seriously injured victims. In the mansion was already waiting for the doctors and nurses who would deal with them.

Some of the guards brought food and drinks for all of them. Likewise with Chinua troops, there is already a duty to take care of their own needs. Chinua had prepared everything. Logistical needs should not be forgotten.

Both sides seemed to be feeling a bright afternoon while enjoying the tea and snacks provided. The time of rest is really used by all parties. Because they still did not get the certainty of still continuing or not the battle. Both remain on alert. They do not want to be cheated, if suddenly someone attacks.

"Why did this old woman recover so long? I've channeled a lot of my energy" Chinua asked Sergei. Chinua looked annoyed. "He should have recovered. Unless he's pretending." Sergei frowned while watching Xanadu.

"Then there's only one way to find out." Chinua immediately strangled Xanadu's neck and exerted pressure on his strength.

Xanadu's eyes were wide. His eyes almost jumped out. He was also out of breath. Sergei tried to arrest Chinua. "If you do that he will die, Your Majesty," whispered Sergei. "No, we'll see" Chinua replied slowly. "How much longer are you going to pretend, Blind Woman?"

Chinua loosened the pressure of his strength. "Now say! Why did you kidnap me? I don't need any more bullshit from you." Chinua opened her eyes at Xanadu. It's his habit to get straight to the point. The old woman looked nervous, read from the movements of her body. Sergei scrunched his forehead. He was amazed, Chinua could correctly guess Xanadu's pretense.

"What are you waiting for, Xanadu?" The old woman swallowed her saliva. The air is warming. When his emotions began to be provoked, Chinua was really able to warm the air around him. "You want to know. Okay, I'll say it!" xanadu.

"That man needs to feel the pain that I'm suffering because he has chosen your mother. We've been betrothed since childhood. I even sacrificed my vision for her. But what in return, he chose the damned woman to be his queen." Xanadu let his seething grudge make his face tense.

Xanadu laughed like a madman. His voice sounded terrible. People become creepy. "So you're sorry? Didn't you want it yourself. I'm just spreading the bait, if you catch it like you've been doing all this time, it's not my fault."

Chinua wanted to crush the old woman's neck. He had no doubt he was able to twist that neck into a splinter in a single hand. However he would not give an easy death to that woman. No, after what he did to her.

Damn, he wouldn't be able to do that right now. He still has to finish the war. All those problems were mixed together and made him feel as if he was about to explode. Chinua is not sure he still wants to kill the girl. Throughout his dark life he had never felt such doubt.

"What are you gonna do to that son of a bitch?" Shanum's sniffling sound rang out in Chinua's ears. Chinua pulls his grip on Xanadu and ties him with a magic rope. His eyes traced Shanum's sharp expression on Xanadu. "And do you still intend to kill me?"

Chinua did not immediately reply, his gaze observing coldly. "I'm still thinking about it." Shanum's eyebrows curved on his forehead. Chinua's answer confused him.

"That's for both of your questions" Chinua explained. Shanum nodded his head. Then he looked back. "Are you okay?" Shanum's memory of the torture young Chinua endured was already imprinted on his brain, his heart narrowing with remorse.

"No need to be sorry for me. I have hurt you, remember" replied Chinua. "I hurt you a lot too. So we're even." Shanum smiled faintly. Chinua. This girl forgave him so easily. A throbbing pain suddenly appeared in Chinua's heart. "That's what will get you killed later" Chinua said. Shanum frowned confusedly. "What?"

"I've spent centuries destroying weak enemies like you." Chinua walked towards a patch of garden not far from her, her gaze stopping on one of the Honeysuckle type plants. The woman had already spent her time cultivating grudges in the darkness of her heart.

Chinua thought it made him strong. He too late realized that he had instead already created damage that was ready to explode, and was destined to explode right in front of his face. "Sooner or later I will reap what I have sown. I just never thought the truth would really hit my soul."

"Since when have you believed in karma?" ask Shanum. "Since that karma punched me right in the face. And it feels like it's stripped inside out." Chinua sniffed his shoulders. Until now he still does not believe that he can be fooled all-out by Xanadu. "Everyone must have done something bad" Shanum said.

"But not everyone chooses to live without a conscience" Chinua replied briefly. There was doubt when Shanum sought a diplomatic way to convince Chinua that his years of being an evil man were not his fault.

"You were raised with violence. The doctrine of hating your real family with lies." Shanum reminded Chinua. "Good excuse." Chinua's lips curled in a flat smile. "Everyone who is here knows, I am a vile and cruel woman. It's hard to change that stigma."

"That's not entirely true" Shanum protested. "That's very true." Chinua grimacing. It's not about feeling sorry for yourself. Only long introspection should be done. "I've hurt too many people."

There was a long silence as Shanum tried to understand Chinua's guilt that the woman was trying to cover up. After clearing her throat, the woman gave a statement that Shanum undoubtedly had high hopes for. "It is better that I and my troops return to Abbasid. You can breathe Shanum's relief. Because I won't bother you anymore." Chinua seamlessly turned around, as if she was staring at her pitiful reflection. His emotions were being threatened, and it was not easy for him to admit his defeat.

Shanum was stunned, the woman mentioned her name. Although their initial meeting was full of resentment and hatred. But ultimately the truth holds the key to its solution. Shanum understood, it was hard for the woman to budge and bury her grudge.

"What about Dario?" The question just popped out of Shanum's lips. Oops... Shanum felt guilty when he saw the huffiness on Chinua's face. Then the woman took a deep breath. Chinua shook her head. "He's part of this clan. And I forever owe him my life. That's all Dario means to me" Chinua said as he shrugged.

Chinua briefly felt the desire to bring Dario to Abbasid. But immediately put away that pathetic desire. Chinua did not want to be seen begging for attention to the man. And not necessarily he could fully reply to what Dario wanted. His heart was still at a loss determining how he actually felt towards the man.

"You don't want to see it before you go?" tawar Shanum's. Chinua stupefied. This girl is so pretty. Not only his body, but his heart. It's lucky Khan Adrian to get this girl's love. "No need, I don't want to interrupt his recovery time."

Chinua then gave Shanum a signal and rushed to Khan. During his conversation with Shanum, Khan kept watch from a considerable distance. He gives Shanum a chance to talk to Chinua. They actually have family ties. Khan did not feel any evil aura in Chinua's body. Therefore he could release Shanum to approach the queen.

"Khan. So we will not continue this battle," Chinua said flatly. "What an extraordinary speech that rarely comes from your lips, Chinua." Khan answered coldly. Chinua grunting. "That doesn't mean I'm weak, Khan." The man scrunched his nose. "Who said you were weak? The one who dared to be magnanimous in admitting his defeat was a strong person. That's my opinion." Chinua smiled faintly. "Thank you." Khan nodded his head in response to Chinua's words.

The woman then returned to her army. He cast a spell to open the portal. A mirror-like glow appeared before Chinua. One by one his troops entered the portal. Xanadu was also dragged by two burly men. The old woman was still in a hand-tied position by magic, and she seemed to be fussing. His words were not touched by the two men. The two pulled roughly Xanadu, and the old woman walked staggeringly following their steps. I don't know what Chinua's gonna do. Shanum expects Xanadu to be punished according to his crimes.

Chinua will now enter the portal. Before stepping his feet, he turned towards Shanum. Chinua nodded her head while smiling faintly. No words came out of his lips. But Shanum knew, the woman said a wordless saying. "See you, Ancestor," cried Shanum. Chinua was stunned to hear the girl's words. He rolled his eyes while smiling gently. Chinua's body went into the portal. The circle of light slowly dimmed and then disappeared completely.

Shanum. Shanum's incredulous expression suddenly yawned, Chinua revealed a gentle expression that left most people shocked. Who would believe that the woman called "Devil from hell" had a heart?
