The Woman Ruler of the Altan Clan

The Woman Ruler of the Altan Clan
Chapter 52 Lost

Now Shanum is standing in front of the rubble of his former home. Everything was broken before his eyes.

After receiving a call from Mr. Dirman, the three girls headed straight to Shanum's house. At the same time Diva also receives a call from Sergei who informs her that he is heading to Diva's house from the airport.

Diva immediately told the incident that befell Shanum, that they were on their way to the girl's house. Sergei was shocked and said he would look at the fire site. He wanted to try to help Shanum and his family.

Arriving there, Shanum saw that people were already crowded and the fire was burning big. The fire seemed to lick towards him. A stifling heat was also felt around him. Shanum tried to break through the crowd approaching his burning house.

But his steps were blocked by one of the officers. No one should be too close to the location of the burning house, because it can be dangerous.

Firefighters have set up a special barrier to keep people watching behind the line. Shanum again sobbed when he saw the appearance of his house.

She was hysterically calling out the names of her parents. The people around them were watching him. Farah immediately pulled him away and hugged him. Diva also gave comforting words to Shanum.

"No, my mom and dad! Farah.help my mom and dad." Shanum was still thrashing in Farah's arms.

"Shhh.h patient, Sha," comfort Farah.

"You have to be strong, Sha. You're not alone, we're still here." Diva also entertained him. They both shed tears with Shanum. The girl's body finally squeezed. Sometimes he still heard his sobs.

"Non Shanum's..."

Shanum broke away from Farah's embrace and turned his head. He saw Mr. Dirman, Bi Inah, Bi Ema and Mang Jali. The faces of Mang Jali and Pak Dirman looked dirty full of soot. Everyone's faces looked sad.

"I'm sorry, Non. We can not take Father and Mother out of the house" said Bi Ema while occasionally wiping her tears with the back of her hand. Bi Inah also cried bitterly.

"Is there anything left inside besides Mom and Dad?" shanum asked with a hoarse stinged voice.

"Nothing, Non. That time Mang Jali was driving Bi Ema to buy food requested by Mother. Non's mother is like a person who is craving, she wants to be bought pickled in the next housing. When we returned the fire started to grow. Mamang tried to enter the house, but could not," explained Mang Jali.

"Is there anything suspicious before the fire, Mang?" ask Shanum again.

"Before the fire there was a woman and a man who came looking for Non. They're like they're not natives here, Non" said Mr. Dirman.

Shanum frowned. He looked at his two best friends.

"Are they speaking our language, sir?" ask Farah.

"The man yes, Non. But women are not. They were speaking in a language I did not understand."

"Why are they allowed inside the house, sir?" ask Shanum.

"Yes Non, I let you in and they waited in the living room. I thought he was a friend of Non's. Because the guy said that he was friends yesterday abroad. After that they were invited to talk by Non's father. And you go back to the guard post, don't know what they're talking about."

Shanum suddenly dizzy. Who are those guys? No man she knew could use Indonesian in Astrakhan. And there was no woman he knew there, except Chinua and Khan's clerk.

"Shanum.." call a voice.

Shanum saw Sergei stepping quickly towards them. The man walked while occasionally looking towards the blazing flames. His face looked hard. He looks angry.

"I'm sorry, Shanum," he said. Shanum nodded with his sad smile. The man then approached the Diva and clasped her hands. He whispered something in the girl's ear. Diva bit her lips, then whispered back in her ear.

Sergei then kissed the girl's fingers. The show of affection did not escape the attention of all those who were there. And Farah immediately clucked in annoyance and said, "Please, someone is grieving here." Diva immediately took off Sergei's hand while blushing in embarrassment.

"There's something I want to say, Shanum. It's important! And I'm sorry, we'd better just talk there." Sergei approached Shanum and took him away.

After they were both alone. "It's not an ordinary kind of fire, Shanum. This fire is a magic fire."

Shanum immediately looked at Sergei, he squinted his eyes. "You mean, someone's gonna kill me and my family, is that it?"

"It could be, Shanum. Which makes me wonder why he's after you. You are no longer on the land of the clan. And also no longer related to Khan and quarrel with the Batbayar Clan."

Shanum's eyes flickered when he heard Sergei's words. The girl was shocked by the expression about the magic fire that had burned down her house.

And his chest felt tight when he heard Sergei's words, that he was no longer in touch with Khan. Everything mixed in his mind to make him lose orientation.

"I'll show you. So you can believe."

Sergei flicked his hand. Time stopped moving. The people around them froze. Sergei released a blue light from both of his hands. And the light moved toward each person, forming a layer around them that froze.

He then moved to pat Diva and Farah on the shoulder. Diva smiled faintly and rubbed the two cheeks of the man. Their eyes were full of love and support each other. Shanum felt something throbbing pain right in his heart. "How lucky is Diva" he said in his heart.

All those activities were done by the man very quickly without a doubt. Shanum saw the man start chanting. Then the fire moved towards Sergei. As if he wanted to attack her.

Shanum immediately raised both of his hands and moved backwards. "Farah-Diva, take cover behind me, quick!" The two best friends immediately ran behind Shanum when they heard his orders.

He created a protector with his power. The golden-colored light moved to form a dome that protected the three.

Farah and Diva's faces looked pale. They were very shocked to see a fire that could strike up ahead. So is the blue color that surrounds people who do not move like a cocoon.

Sergei was still attacking with the power of his blue light. He moved floating in the air. Spinning, jumping, and lunging at the flames that attacked him.

Shanum did not dare to help him. He was waiting for a warning from the man. Because he was afraid of wrongdoing. He didn't want to be an obstacle that would harm Sergei.

"Shanum, please help me. You attacked from the West side. Don't be afraid, just trust your strength. I'll keep it on the South side."

After the cue appeared, Shanum immediately darted, running towards the direction shown by Sergei.

He released the power of his golden light. The light struck the fire that had now split into two halves.

"The light strikes to its center point which is darker in color," Sergei shouted again.

Shanum squinted his eyes, looking around for the central point Sergei said. Well, which one is it? The color is the same again.

Shanum still could not find the darker colored spot. In the midst of his eternal search, he seemed to be led to look towards his left side. And Voila, he found a darker colored dot than the others.

Shanum then concentrated his power to that one point. He fired with great concentration. The fire slowly shrank and disappeared completely. Shanum saw the fire in the position next to him, where Sergei was standing had also disappeared.

"We did it, Shanum." Sergei smiled widely. Diva immediately ran up to the man and hugged him. Sergei dyed the girl's hair, and replied with a shy smile on Diva's face.

Shanum slowly stepped closer to them. Followed by Farah who walked like a dazed person.

"After this what will we do? They would have suspected that the fire had suddenly died on its own" Shanum asked.

"Just trust me. I'll change their minds, and instill in everyone's mind that the firemen have managed to put out the fire."

There was quite a long silence, then Sergei confessed, "Well, I can change anyone's mind and instill new thoughts as I want."

"That's really terrible. Don't ever try to get into my head, Sergei. Or I will never forgive you" Shanum said. He could not imagine if his mind was brain-tightened by the man, so he would lose the precious thoughts he should still have.

"Did you also instill a sense of love to infatuation in my heart, Sergei?" asked Diva suddenly while letting go of her embrace. He looked suspicious in his eyes.

"Is that what you've been feeling for me all this time, Hon? I'm really flattered." The man's lips seemed to widen completely, he smiled very sweetly. His eyes darkened and his face was shining.

"Oh, you two are. I'm heartbroken, have mercy on me!" shanum said.

"Sorry, Sha. You anyway!" Diva glared at Sergei.

"I didn't ask you, Hon." The man still smiled broadly.

"Awas only, I will repay you," Diva sighed with a frown.

"Sorry, I was just kidding. I'll confess, Hon. For the feeling I can't change it. Because feelings are much more complicated than thoughts. You can believe my words, right?"

"You're not lying?" ask Diva again with a doubtful look.

"Okay, I believe you." Diva smiled back at Sergei.

"Do you know any of these Empaths, Sergei?" ask Shanum.

"No, Sha. An Empath will usually be aloof, away from other humans. They are very sensitive, and do not like to come into contact with a lot of negative emotions that make them tired" Sergei said.

"Okay, enough with my explanation. Now it's time to put time back in. Please, you guys get back to that place before I stop time. So as not to arouse suspicion," he added.

"Wait a minute, Sergei."

"What's wrong?" ask the man.

"I want to go inside the house. I want to find my parents' bodies" Shanum said softly.

Sergei shakes. "But inside is dangerous, Sha. Surely there are parts of the building that are fragile because they burn."

"I will be careful" he said expectantly. He showed me the dream of welding it.

The man sighed. "Alright, you can go there. But I have to come."

Shanum smiled brightly, he nodded his head.

Sergei turned towards the Diva. "I accompanied Shanum inside first huh, Hon. You and Farah just wait here, dangerous inside. I can't keep an eye on you all."

"Okay, take good care of yourself" said Diva.

They walked together carefully to enter the house. Sergei made a form of light from his magic, which helped to give them illumination.

Shanum found the living room partially burned. The stairs leading to the top floor were still there, but the array had already disappeared. The girl climbed the stairs carefully.

According to Mr. Dirman, his parents were on top when the fire broke out. The fire came from below, so they were trapped upstairs.

"We go to my room first yeah, there's stuff I want to take." Shanum headed straight towards his room, without waiting for the man's approval. He opened the door of his room and was flabbergasted. Shanum squinted his eyes, he could not see that his room was not burning in the slightest.

"Why is my room intact, Sergei?" he said still stunned. With careful steps he approached his bed. Then look in wonder at his surroundings.

"I don't know, Shanum. It's weird." Sergei was also seen gawking at the room's apparition.

"Do you sense any danger that would threaten us here, Sergei?"

"No, I don't feel any aura of danger." The man narrowed his eyes and stared warily.

"Alright, I'll take my important things. Just a minute." Shanum then took his suitcase and put all the important things in there.

After twenty minutes passed. "Jeez, you want to move house, Shanum. It's a lot. Sergei shook his head while grimacing.

"It's all important, Sergei. I can't possibly leave it here. Oh, yeah, almost forgot."

The girl approached one of the landscape paintings. Then he shifted the frame of the painting. Behind the painting is a wooden door. Shanum took the key from his pocket, and opened the door with the key.

After the wooden door opened, there was a small vault behind it. He then placed his right thumb print on one of the fields, a click sounded, and the vault door opened. Shanum immediately took out a wallet and a key from it.

"I just found out, it turns out that a girl also has a really complicated hidden closet." Sergei smiled amusedly himself watching Shanum.

"Yes dong, it's just men who can have it."

"What the hell is it?" tanyanya.

"It's just a passbook, a Save Deposit Box key, and my apartment key" Shanum replied, inserting a wallet containing a bankbook, and the keys he mentioned in the bag.

"Oh. I guess it's a diamond necklace and other valuables. It turned out to be just that," seduced Sergei.

"Hey, this is all precious to me. Besides another much prized thing I keep in the bank, it's safer than at home."

"You're a really smart girl. And what's all his stuff, Shanum? There's nothing left behind."

"Yes, it's all. Let's get these suitcases down first." Shanum was immediately prepared to lift one of the suitcases.

Sergei rolled his eyeballs. "No need, you'll spend our time going back and forth outside then. I have an easier way."

Sergei then recites a spell back, he touches one of the suitcases. And miraculously the suitcase shrank to the size of an ATM card in his wallet.

His eyes wide. "I'm speechless, Sergei. You do have a lot of unique magic abilities."

"It's very much needed for someone who has a profession like me, Shanum. I travel a lot, and don't want to be bothered a lot by luggage." The man was grinning while back shrinking the suitcase Shanum wanted to carry.

"Okay, it's all. There are five suitcases in total" Sergei said.

"Yes, I put it in my backpack."

"But, by the way, what if the insurance officer checks this fire. And the man on duty, found an awkwardness in my room, Sergei. He would definitely be astonished and wonder why this room could escape from the flames?"

"really so. Then now I'm gonna burn your room down to make it look the same as the other room."

"okay." Shanum immediately got up and stood by the door of the room.

Sergei started with the bed, he let out the power of his blue light. The difference in blue light this time was in the form of fire. He started to move spreading fire throughout the room. But something strange happened in that room. Suddenly a golden sheen appeared from inside the dresser drawer.

The sheen spread throughout the room and made the entire fire in the room seem to be just floating in the air and extinguished. That sheen radiated a kind of protection to the entire room from the fire.

Sergei turned towards Shanum. "What's in that dresser drawer?"

Shanum immediately moved quickly towards the desk drawer, and he found a golden necklace. He took a gold necklace with pendulum-shaped flower petals from there. The shape of the flower petals was very similar to the birthmark on his palm.

"I forgot about this necklace. This necklace was suddenly on my neck when I woke up from one of my dreams. I don't know who put it on me. What I remember about the dream, there was a woman named Nekhii. He said I was waiting for him. But I never took that dream seriously."

Sergei's stunned. "Nephii... The name was like the name of one of the famous fortune-tellers who had long disappeared. And he has the power not only that. You sure Shanum? From ancient literature I have read. Nekhii is a legend whose power is extraordinary."

"I'm not kidding, Sergei. That woman has met me twice. One time in Sarai Batu city and another in my dream."

Sergei seemed to think for a moment. "That means the necklace was given by him to protect you, Shanum. Because you wore it after you dreamed of meeting him, right."

Shanum held the necklace while pensive. He moved to wear the necklace on his neck.

Which was still a big question mark on his mind, which was why the necklace pendulum had the same shape as the pattern on his palm?

"Never take off that necklace, Shanum," Sergei said. Shanum nodded while holding the necklace pendulum.

"Well, you didn't manage to burn this room down. Now I will try it with my strength" he said.

Shanum then started burning the room with his golden light. He felt sad to see his room slowly start engulfed in flames. After all, the room has been occupied since childhood.

He burned the room. Ever since the necklace was worn, the protection magic had already not protected the room.

"I'll wait here to keep the fire from spreading again, and it'll put it out later. You go straight to your mom and dad's room, Shanum. I won't be long."

Shanum nodded his head, then headed towards his parents' second room at the end of the second floor hallway.

He entered a room that was already filled with debris. With his heart pounding and cold sweat that began to be felt in his palms, he scanned the entire room. He turned on the flashlight app from his phone to help him see, and tried to go deep inside.

Move the burned pieces of furniture that block his steps. With a raging feeling that stifled his chest. Shanum tried to find the bodies of his parents.
