Chinua wakes up in an open field on the other side of the forest. His breathing felt tight as he tried to lift his body. He was gasping, blood filling his mouth. Chinua spat it out.
His arms flexed as he tried to get up, and blood also poured from his nose, splashing to the ground. His clothes were torn here and there. His hair was messy and tangled, appearing to be fused on one side, while on the other side stood upright irregularly. If he were an ordinary man, his life would have been saved.
His back was curved, painful when moved. Finally the woman sat cross-legged on the ground. He closed his eyes. Chinua does healing meditation. He channeled his power to scan for injured and broken locations. The woman had healing abilities, the same as Shanum. They came from the same bloodline, of course, had a strength that was not much different.
Blue light enveloped the woman. Chinua felt a warm air spreading in his blood. In between the process of meditation and healing the memories came. Compile the worst moments of his life, a storybook about despair and darkness. When he finds out that he is banished, and unwanted.
A page of despair appeared, and he sobbed, not fully feeling the pain in his body as he recalled his beloved little cat, bleeding, while Chinua's knife pierced his neck. His first murder, the first life he took. Xanadu was there. Just speechless listening to the little cat's moans while grinning proudly.
Then the memory changed, Chinua imagined when he was five years old in a state of hunger, despair, locked in the attic of the house. Crying for hours, realizing that no one cared about her and loved her. He will be punished if he shows a speck of compassion on anything.
Xanadu will torture Chinua as he pleases, both physically and psychologically. The girl's question lingered back in her ears. Why is he trying to kill them all? Wh why? He was just trying to avenge all his heartache. And reclaim his birthright. The girl doesn't know how she feels. Everyone did not understand what it was like to endure torment, despair and cruelty throughout life.
Chinua then recalled Khan's view on the girl. A look that makes anyone who sees will cluck with envy. Chinua opened his eyes, he stared at the green grass, trembling at the wafting mist hood. Love, hearing that one word made her want to run away.
He had almost felt it, once during his long lifeline. But he did not dare to admit it, even to himself. Chinua doesn't know if she deserves to be loved. He realized that he could not return after what he had done. His soul was broken and frozen, even for love. A wishful thinking that he had long buried deep and faded with time.
For a moment Chinua's blue eyes glowed brighter. He must continue his mission. Focus on eliminating the girl. He must not fail and must avenge his defeat. But he also knew, his strength had yet to completely recover. He still needed time to gather all his strength.
Chinua heard a voice. He was on standby in his place, preparing with an attacking position. A man emerged from the fog. "My queen, are you okay?" Chinua saw Osbert standing with a worried face mixed with nervousness not far from him. The woman frowned, earnestly not understanding why the man still looked normal. "Where have you been?" Chinua squinted her eyes.
"Sorry, Your Majesty. I was scouting Khan's residence. When I returned to the tent, I saw that the situation there was already in ruins" explained Osbert. "Did you see the others?" ask Chinua. Osbert shook his head.
Ignoring her clothes and unworthy makeup, Chinua looked around her. He looked at the vast green hilly land before him. What a vast land belonging to Khan Adrian on the outskirts of this city. During his time here Chinua had seen dense forests and bottomless clear lakes, now he saw vast hills under the shade of the sky.
Turning his attention to the surrounding atmosphere to Osbert with a watchful expression, a cold smile decorated Chinua's lips. "You can build a tent here, Osbert." While kneeling, the man lowered his head.
"Good, Queen. I'll call the others, who came with me yesterday. We live to serve you." Chinua's lips pout as he moved forward to grasp Osbert's chin violently. Jerking at the man's head, Chinua enjoyed the fear that radiated from her beautiful eyes.
"Your mouth is so sweet but I know you're a coward." Chinua looked to squint her eyes. "I've proven my loyalty the other day about the information that Sergei betrayed me. And I'm not a coward, I've managed to steal a piece of Khan's hair, for you to cast an opening spell for this place's protection seal."
Chinua's anger grieved him. He will not forget Osbert's carelessness until Batu is killed. If he obeyed his duty to accompany Stone, perhaps the man was still alive today, instead of being busy dating the women.
But Chinua was wise enough to realize that Osbert was now a tool he could use to his advantage. Osbert was the only one who could disguise well. And he kindly reminded the man of the pain he could make. The man would definitely not disappoint her again.
"If you mess up or try to get away from me, I'll rip your heart out of your chest and eat it for dinner." Chinua leaned his body forward. "You got it?" Osbert's dashed breath sounded clear. "With perfect." Osbert gulped, his body trembling.
"Good." Freeing his grip on Osbert's chin, Chinua turned around. Then he began to cast spells to summon Xanadu and his men who were swept away by the strong wind. He could still sense Xanadu and the few people who were still alive. There are some who hide behind the darkness, all ready to protect it in times of command. They may not love her, but they know very well not to disappoint her.
Unlike her stupid brother, Chinua understood how strong fear was. Why would he spend time humbling himself for the loyalty of his citizens if he could sue him.
A thin, haughty smile adorned Chinua's lips as she felt the encounter with the descendants of her brother. At last. After centuries of hiding from his reach, Chinua will soon break his brother's bloodline. Then he'll be free. Free to rule and enjoy his birthright as he should.
Although the girl was protected by the ruler of the Altan clan himself, Chinua was not afraid. You stupid people. They just wanted to sacrifice themselves for the snot girl. A smile rose on Chinua's lips, as he felt the prideful pleasure of being able to conquer the Altan Clan. Especially if he can master it.
"What are you thinking? I can feel your energy overflowing. Are you being happy? Though as I recall you lost to that girl's attack." Xanadu suddenly ruined his imaginary moment. Chinua snorted, then said curtly, "You can only ruin with your words, Blind Witch."
"I declare the truth. You've never listened to me all this time. Don't let Chenghiz's death be a figment of the thumb, '" booed Xanadu. Chinua instinctively moved back. "Is..is it based on your vision?" ask Chinua nervously. Xanadu laughed out loud feeling Chinua's fear.
Chinua narrowed her eyes. "Don't joke with me, Blind Old Lady!" snapped it. There's no way Chenghiz is still alive. Thats impossible. His brother is dead. Dead and buried.
"I don't know, because you're the only one there" said Xanadu. Damn it, the blind old lady dared to doubt it. With a hiss Chinua unleashed its power, throwing the old woman into a tree near them and holding her there.
"She's dead" Chinua growled, trying to convince herself and the bully old woman before him. "I saw him die." Chinua increased the pressure until the old woman's body bent and wriggled in pain.
Chinua turned around leaving Xanadu and his subordinates. The woman walked towards the hill in front of her. A terrifying unease pierced Chinua's heart. She was rattled by Xanadu's insinuations earlier, she was sure her brother could not rise from the dead. The man is weak. It seems there was a defect in her brother's blood.
Chenghiz insisted on playing the role of a benevolent ruler, always determined to see justice served. It was easy to fall into the hands of his enemies. Chinua had already helped the man end his miserable dream. If it wasn't him, someone else would.
By the time he returned from his streets, the tent was already standing. Chinua went directly into the tent and found all the necessary items had been neatly arranged. The female servant was waiting for him by standing in the corner of the room.
"I've prepared your bath water, Your Majesty." Chinua glanced at the bathtub with steam billowing. The smell of lavender is smelling in the air. Chinua raised both hands to the side of her body and let the maid strip off the clothes she was wearing.
Chinua was sitting on his bed mattress while his hair was combed by his female servant, as Xanadu staggered into the room and knelt in front of him along with Osbert who was beside him.
Her female servant let out a wary shrill voice as the old woman's eyes emitted a terrifying gleam, but Chinua quickly stood up and pushed beside her timid female servant.
It's been centuries since the last time, but Chinua can recognize when his forecaster was getting a vision.
"What's up, Xanadu?" ask Chinua. "What do you see?" "The fire is golden in color," Xanadu groaned, hugging himself as it shook forwards and backwards. "The fire will surround you."
"Golden fire?" Chinua frowned. "Is that a magic fire?" ask Chinua. "The fire will surround you." "Yes, you said so, you old bitch sucks. What mean?"
Xanadu whimpered, shaking his head. "Fire.. burn. It can burn." Fear makes Chinua's chest tight. Stepping forward, Chinua slapped Xanadu on her wrinkled cheek. "Fuck you, what do you mean?" Xanadu's blank black eyes turned to look at Chinua, blind but full of terrible knowledge.
"That girl," said Xanadu raucously, her finger pointing towards Chinua. "He will beat you. He'll shut you up forever." The female servant sighed in fear, but Chinua's face shriveled in anger when the snot girl was called. There was nothing more convincing to stir up his anger than the mention of the girl who had defeated him.
"No way," sizzled Chinua. Xanadu shook his head. "Not impossible. Even now that he has moved, his strength will not be able to fight. The end will come soon."
With a furious movement, Chinua hit his forecaster with his strength to hit the tent support. The tent almost collapsed. The female servant immediately ran out and looked for reinforcements. Osbert tried to hold one of the sloping support poles. And Chinua unleashed his power so that the tent would not collapse. His subordinates came and held back the tent's support. The tent was repaired and stood firm as before.
"Take him out of here." Chinua pointed to Xanadu's unconscious body. With a frightened look towards Chinua, the accomplices hurriedly took Xanadu and carried him out of the room. Chinua waited until they passed through the door of the tent before growling loudly.
Fucking xanadu. The foolish woman had no one to blame but herself for making Chinua angry.
What's the point of having a vision if it's just giving vague, nonsensical warnings? Especially if the prophecy was a defeat he did not want to hear. It's nothing but nonsense. Chinua will not give up on losing.
"Your Majesty," said Osbert in a soft voice filled with fear. Chinua twisted his body and looked at Osbert intently. "What?"
Osbert licked his thick lips, looking as if he needed all his courage not to be thrown out of the door. Only a few people survive when Chinua's powers begin to fill the room.
"Maybe we should get out of here," the man finally confessed, stumbling over his own words. "If the fortune teller is telling the truth..."
Chinua stepped towards Osbert, his eyes narrowing in alarm. "You want me to run away from an ordinary girl? A girl who doesn't know about her own strength?"
Osbert wisely knelt down, his head lowered in reverence. "He can't follow you to Abbasid" Osbert said. "I don't want to go back without a win" growled Chinua, her hair drifting by her power. "Not when I'm so close to glory."
"But the fortune teller..."
Chinua approached Osbert's face, looking at him sharply. "I've allowed Xanadu and his pitiful eyesight to make me restless for a very long time." Chinua grabbed the man's shoulder and gripped him tightly until he almost crushed the man's bone.
Due to the blood of her rotten older brother, Chinua is tired of being chased by fear. She is a queen. A strong leader who should be adored by anyone. Fucking prophecy. He will make his own destiny. "After the English Girl is killed, I will be free to spread my power throughout the world."
Osbert groaned softly in pain. "But we're talking about the Chenghiz girl. What if Chenghiz is still alive?"
"My brother is dead and in his grave" sis Chinua."I know because I buried him myself." Something that might be relief radiating through Osbert's eyes. "Then I will call the soldiers. You can't face it alone."
"Ah, yes, my soldiers." Releasing his grip on Osbert's shoulder, Chinua waved to drive the man out of his tent. Chinua needs a new strategy to fight the girl and Khan Adrian. And he's sure he'll win this time.
