The Woman Ruler of the Altan Clan

The Woman Ruler of the Altan Clan
Chapter 63 Designing Strategy

The situation in the room was currently feeling increasingly heated. Sergei's laughter stopped suddenly when he saw Khan's horrible gaze being cast on him.

"I don't think this is for general consumption. I'll just explain it to Shashaku" Khan said in a flat tone and with his feet.

"I'm sorry Sergei, sir. He sometimes likes to be nosy," said Diva while smiling timidly.

"No need to defend me, Hon. I did deliberately, want to reply to such idle babbling." Sergei grinned with an innocent face. And Khan's jaw seemed to tighten even more when he heard the man's words.

"Sttt, already! Don't add to the situation!" Diva pinched with Sergei's waist tight, and got the man's ringing reaction.

Khan sighed, he tried to suppress his sense of regret to Sergei. Even though he really wants to punch his angel-like handsome face. But he can't do that. Khan still needs Sergei to track down the plotters who tried to kill Shanum.

"Oh, stop! Let's sit down immediately, "Shanum immediately pulled Khan's hand towards the sofa while gesturing for Sergei and Diva to follow him.

After sitting on the sofa, Shanum tried to start a conversation. "So what's up?" tanyakanya. Diva and Sergei did not immediately reply. The two still looked towards Khan with mixed views. Diva with an anxious look and Sergei with his gel expression.

Shanum glanced at Khan, and saw the man's face still look haunted. Shanum immediately approached the man. His hands cupped his cheeks and pulled Khan's face towards him. "Don't have a scary face. Later his good looks fade," whispered Shanum in Khan's ear while smiling seductively.

The man immediately grinned while rolling his eyeballs.

"Fuck, Adri... There may be many Altan Clan rules that I am not yet time to know. And I understand that," he added wisely with a smile.

Khan looked at Shanum deeply, then a faint smile rose from his lips. He pulled Shanum's fingers and kissed her.

Sergei cleared his throat cutting off the intimate interaction of the two. "Actually the Diva forced her here because she wanted to see how you are, Shanum. At once I want to return your car keys. Abdan left it to us. We did come in tandem to get here. Your car's safe in the lower parking lot." Sergei put on Shanum's car key table on the table.

"Yes, Sha. How are you doing?" ask Diva.

"I'm fine. Maybe I was just shocked when I felt a force strike against me. The woman who attacked me had quite a strong strength."

"Woman?" khan asked, raising his eyebrows.

"Yes, a woman who was behind the brain of this assault. And you'd be surprised by the Great, if you knew who this man was."

"Say!" khan's orders.

"The man who managed to get caught had admitted he was from the Bataar Clan. And he only carries out the duties of his superiors. That's all he had to say, after that the man immediately convulsed with his mouth to foam. On his body was already in pairs of killer spells that would be active if they opened their mouths to the enemy side. And as I recall the General of the clan is a woman" Sergei said.

Diva gasped in shock at the story Sergei and Shanum shuddered in horror.

"I'm sorry, it's sadistic to be in my world, Hon. But you don't have to be afraid, I'll always protect you." Sergei rubbed Diva's cheek while smiling fondly.

"Sofia Bayarmaa" Khan murmured.

"Yes, that's his name" Sergei said. "The woman replaced her father's duties as a General in the Bataar Clan since two hundred years ago, if not wrong. And he's very dangerous" Sergei added.

Suddenly Khan froze, his face cloudy. It seems the man realized something.

"What's wrong? Why is your face so strange?" ask Shanum.

Khan immediately got up from his seat, he stepped towards the window, and stared at the flickering landscape of the city behind the windowpanes.

"Klan Bataar is where my former fiancee came from" Khan replied in a flat tone.

"Woa, it seems like the ghosts of the past are starting to come to chase you back. And unfortunately this time they threaten the safety of your lover, too" Sergei said cynically.

"Why do they want to kill me, Adri? I don't know them." Shanum looked puzzled, his forehead wrinkled deeply.

"I think they're after you because you're Khan's girlfriend. Looks like someone's still keeping the flavor with your man, Sha," Diva said.

"It can be, but it can't be. Because Shanum's relationship with Khan as far as I'm concerned hasn't been made public. Did anyone actually try to spy on you, the Great One?" ask Sergei.

Khan turned his body, he returned to the sofa and sat down next to Shanum. "About anyone spying on me, I don't know. It still has to be thoroughly traced first." There's pause. They waited for Khan's words.

"And what about my relationship with Shasha has been published yet? The answer is not yet. But there are already many people who know, especially my employees and the people from Batbayar Clan," Khan said again.

"Is it possible that this has something to do with that Selection, the Great One?" Sergei asked back to Khan.

"I don't know." Khan shook his head. The man still did not dare to answer about that, as the more here the more trouble came against him.

If Gerel messed up his life again, he would never forgive him again. At that time Khan only drove away the woman to never reappear before him. And all this time he never met or heard from her again.

"I see," Shanum said, staring deeply at Khan. "I understand why they started popping up to kill me."

Imagining being chased by people in this magical world made Shanum's blood cool. He had not expected his destiny to be this complicated. Khan's gaze was fixed on Shanum, alert and questionable. The girl swallowed. "And I understand why your past is coming back."

"What do you mean?" ask Sergei while frowning. He was even more confused to hear Shanum's words.

"You sound like you have a vision of the future, Shasha. Really so?" A sharp outspoken question emerged from Khan. The man was worried that Shanum was getting poor eyesight.

Shanum rubbed his face. "It's all because of the prophecy. According to the prophecy only the girl who has the blood of the four clans will be your partner."

Khan's eyes widened hearing Shanum's explanation. The girl put her hand on Khan's elbow, while he said, "Because I'm the girl, Adri. So they're all after me."

Shanum then shifted from his sitting position, about to get up. But Khan snatched his hand, held it, and said, "If that were the case, I would be as strong as I can to protect you."

Shanum observed his hands as well as his determined face, and smiled gently. "I believe you, Adri. And I will fight them too. We're a team, remember." Khan replied with an equally gentle smile, along with a warm look emanating from the net of his eyes.

Sergei cleared his throat. "May I know the full story, Shanum. Because right now I'm still confused about what you said earlier." The man's sky blue eyes looked at Shanum then turned once more towards Khan.

"Okay, I'll explain in full. So you don't get confused anymore." After that Shanum told about Nekhii's words and about their bond.

After which Sergei shook his head, his face looked astonished. Likewise with Diva, even the girl was still gawking in shock.

"Why am I jealous of you two? Shit, you guys are so lucky!" Sergei smiled widely.

"We can't be like them huh, Igei?" diva asked as she looked expectantly at Sergei.

Sergei rubbed his nape. "I don't know, Hon. Things like that, not everyone is lucky to get it. Me and you anyway..." The man restored his hair, let out a soft laugh. "We're different. Sorry Hon, you're not from my world."

Sergei's honesty made the netra eyes dimmer Diva sad. "Hey, I don't want to disappoint you" Sergei said. "But I don't care, even if you're not from my world, I still consider you my soul mate. Without a binding spell, you're still everything to me."

Diva turned her head and changed her expression. She smiled warmly, and her eyes were teary. It seemed that the girl was moved to hear Sergei's words. "I also feel so," he said softly while blushing in shame.

Shanum cleared his throat while smiling. "Okay, so what now? Are we going to lure these rioters," Shanum asked trying to return the conversation back to the beginning, about the Bataar Clan trying to kill him. He felt itchy wanting to immediately stop the actions of those people.

"You're willing to be bait?" Sergei. Shanum nodded as he looked at the frown on his forehead and a slightly incredulous expression on Sergei's face. Shanum wondered why he was astonished, because the man guessed he was not that brave to challenge the danger.

"I don't agree." Khan replied firmly. The man of course did not want to jeopardize the safety of his girl. The General of the Bataar Clan was not a woman who could be considered one-eyed.

"Oh no need to worry so, Adri. I'll have you and Sergei, and you can protect me."

Khan seemed to be considering this for a moment. Then he leaned back and tilted his body towards Shanum, his eyes watching the girl sharply.

"Stay no! I don't want you to come face these buggers." With a serious and stiff face, the man refused.

Shanum looked at the man for a while, but with a disappointed look. He did not believe Khan still refused to participate.

"Well, then you're prepared to accept my death. I'm sure they'll continue to look for other opportunities to attack, and it's possible that by then they'll succeed" Shanum said.

For a moment Khan only heard a roar in his ear. Shadow after shadow flashed in his mind. Shanum's pale face as he fainted earlier seemed to have made him lose half his breath. She could not imagine that her lover would never come to her senses again and would have to leave for good.

Khan realized his hands were clenched so tightly, that he might break his own fingers. But Khan forced himself to calm down, and focus his attention.

Although the emotions raging felt like acid in his stomach, it was still too difficult for him. Too reminiscent of the day he lost Sintai and heard of his father's death. People who mean a lot to him.

And now he has to think about a situation that is almost the same possibility. Khan was still frozen, as he never even thought of the worst possible outcome for Shanum.

Khan tried to block that possibility. He will not feel that loss again. Especially about Shanum, his soul-bonding partner, if he loses it, it is likely that he will lose his sanity.

Khan felt a warm hand clinging to his face, raising his chin while he looked at Shanum who was smiling miserably. Those sparkling black eyes met his golden brown eyes.

Shanum felt a sense of sadness that overwhelmed him, as they connected. And Khan couldn't close their bond, because of his chaotic emotions. He drew closer, his eyes implying regret, his breathing irregular. Shanum sighed tiredly.

He held his nose close to Khan's neck and whispered, "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you sad. At least I don't want to keep quiet while so many people try to hurt us. Please, let me help."

Khan's hard heart softened, he retreated. His thumb stroked Shanum's cheek. "You have to promise me to take care of yourself, don't get hurt."

Shanum slipped his hands around Khan's waist and said quietly, "I promise and thank you." The two looked at each other inside. Understanding settles in Shanum's mind, that this man is anxious if something bad happens to him.

"Hem, I have a plan..." Sergei suddenly let out his voice loudly. He tried to attract their attention.

Shanum and Khan turned their heads, looking towards the man. Both were interested in listening to the continuation of Sergei's words.

"We're going to lure them somewhere away from the city. I will disguise myself as a woman while accompanying Shanum" Sergei continued.

"I'm coming too" said Diva enthusiastically. His face looked bright, while patting Sergei on the shoulder.

While Sergei immediately sighed. "No Hon, you don't master magic. I don't want to make you wretch. Besides, I can't focus on keeping Shanum if I have to take care of you anyway."

Diva pouted while snorting when she heard Sergei's words. He refused to be involved with them.

"Yes Diva, this situation is really dangerous. I don't want anything to happen to you either" Shanum continued. He looked at Diva with a look pleading for her understanding.

"Oh, okay. I'm not coming" said Diva. The girl still looked disappointed because her wish was rejected outright. His lips still look crooked.

"By the way are you sure you're going to disguise yourself as a woman?" shanum asked with a amused smile. Although Shanum was sure the man must have been an expert on it. Sergei is a famous tracker, or in other words he is similar to a secret agent in the real world. The man must have had a special plan as to why he should disguise himself as a woman.

"Yes, I'm used to disguising myself as a woman. And to make this situation as natural as possible, you have to be with women. They will definitely not be suspicious and assume we are just a bunch of weak women" Sergei said with a grin.

"I'm sure you'll definitely be prettier than me, Sergei" Shanum said with a teasing smile. The one who was teased only raised his eyebrows. The idea of wearing female attributes might not matter to her.

"His face alone now looks like a woman" Khan chanted with a snort. Sergei smiled faintly at the man. "Oh, I think you'll be pretty, too. Because not only am I going to disguise myself as a woman," Sergei replied with a screeching laugh.

Khan immediately looked towards the man cynically. "Don't expect me to follow your advice that's ridiculous" Khan said.

"If you're not willing, you're not going to join this plan" Sergei replied again.

"I stayed, but I didn't disguise myself as a creature like that." Khan insisted on refusing to disguise himself as a woman Sergei had directed.

"Keep what do you want to be? If you don't go undercover, they won't be lured to come ambush Shanum."

"I can disguise myself as another man by changing my face." Khan offered another better alternative.

Sergei shook his head.

"It won't work if there's still a guy who shows up. They won't move. Trust me. I've often found situations like this "Sergei tried to explain to Khan, so that the man understood and wanted to cooperate.

His strategy would have been futile if Khan had insisted on being a man. Sergei took his breath. "It's hard, yeah, you've never played a role in being someone you're not."

"Come, Adri. I'm sure you can," insisted Shanum. He looked at Khan with a pleading gaze. He wanted this trap to be successfully run by them. And can immediately subdue the plot.

Khan rubbed his face with a forced face. "OKAY. But I don't want to look flashy and weird."

Sergei smiled while giving his thumbs up. "Give it all to me. I promise you, you won't be dressed like a clown. Even Shanum might be amazed to see you."
