Shanum pulled off his fingers held by Avraam. He took a few steps back from before the man. The woman was watching her overall appearance.
Avraam slowly approached Shanum back, the man tried to grab his face. The hue of his face changed as Shanum turned to avoid his fingers, until the man got empty air in his grasp.
Avraam's mouth is closed. It seemed that Avraam did not like Shanum's behavior avoiding his fingers earlier. The man folded his hands, his eyes darkened again, and then flicked his head so that his silver hair was removed from his face.
"Who is Sergei?"
Shanum was fixated, strangely the man asked in a tone as if he was jealous. Does that guy like it?
Shanum sighed tiredly, he could already guess the direction of his life would be more runny in the future, if all of those things were true. He didn't want to hurt the feelings of the Diva.
"She's my best friend's lover and her face is similar to yours" Shanum replied sniffly.
Avraam chuckled and leaned his field shoulder on the stone pillar while folding his hand. "I think you got the wrong guy. I don't have a lover right now."
Shanum looked confused. The girl's eyes continued to stare at Avraam, looking for the difference with Sergei. Other than the blind eyes there was nothing to distinguish between the man and Sergei.
"Have you lost your memory?" Shanum thought, It's possible that the man experienced something like Khan the other day.
"No. All my life, my name has been Avraam not Sergei."
Shanum looked at the man sharply. Trying to find the gaps of lies from Avraam's speech. But the man's expression was unpredictable. Shanum did not find any awkwardness or lies in the slightest.
"Sorry Great, you're waiting in the meeting room." A man interrupted their conversation. Avraam's face turned cold and stiff. He immediately nodded his head then waved his hand haughtily and coldly, telling the man who called him that to step aside immediately. The man paled, then saluted and hurried away from before them.
Avraam lifted his gaze back towards Shanum. "Pretty." The man's expression turned more friendly. "I think I should see my people soon."
"Nara!" Avraam called out to someone who was in that hall. The woman named Nara approached them with a fearful expression.
"Antar Shanum to the guest room and serve it well" Avraam ordered.
"Okay, the Great." The woman looked down and bowed her body.
Nara brought Shanum into the room with a warm fireplace and was illuminated by the sunlight at a quick pace. The room they entered was facing the garden behind the house.
And Shanum just realized that the building was made of stone. Shanum was flabbergasted as he passed through the hallway after the passage made of the brown stone of the ground.
The walls of this building are similar to the walls of buildings in the ancient city of Sarai Batu-Astrakhan.
Shanum circulated his gaze at the contents of the bedroom and found most of the furniture was made of luxurious wood with a soft cream color, layered with a touch of yellowish green glimmer. It felt, though strange, almost similar to the atmosphere of autumn.
The bed is sturdy, padded, beautiful with covers and blankets of ground brown and ivory yellow to protect from the cold of the season.
But Shanum's curiosity can't be held back, at least giving himself a shadow to know where he is.
"What year is this?" Shanum managed to ask him as Nara closed the sturdy wooden door behind them. The woman frowned slightly as she turned her head, "Two thousand eight."
It turns out it's still the same year. You fantasize too much, Shanum. It was impossible for that man to take him through time. Although the man had the power of teleportation, it was too powerful that he had also the power to go back in time.
Shanum shook his head, smiling wryly. Since discovering this magical world, he indeed could not take for granted the thing that smelled of impossibility. He himself can even call the spirit of the guardian of the ocean, which in fact only ever heard and read through fiction.
"I didn't know that such an ancient building existed other than in Astrakhan" Shanum said. The girl looked around him. "Is this building hundreds of years old?"
Nara did not answer. "You want to change your clothes, My Lady?" nara asked, distracting Shanum. He took out an ivory yellow casual dress, with his warm and soft lace-lined superiors and subordinates.
Shanum squinted his eyes, this woman seemed to be covering something up. But it is not to blame either, he is an outsider, just came to that place.
"How about, My Lady?"
Shanum looked at the clothes, then turned to look at the room, the window, and he felt that all this was starting to make no sense.
Wasn't he a prisoner. But why is his treatment here more like a grand guest than a prisoner. The clothes given to him from good quality materials, which were certainly only owned by the rich and nobles. He killed many members of their clan in Abbasid.
Shanum had been resigned to accept if he had to be in a prison or room reserved for prisoners. With the typical ugly prisoner's clothes. But the reality turned out to be inversely proportional to his interpretation. He was treated very special. And it made the alert alarm in his head ring loudly.
"Where exactly are we at the moment?" Shanum tried to dig his curiosity back. She and Nara meet. "Why does this place remind me of the city of Sarai Batu in Astrakhan?"
Nara's face stiffened, and her dark eyes turned to the clothes that were within her grasp. The woman nervously put the clothes on the bed. Jakun Nara went up and down as she swallowed her saliva.
"Sorry, My Lady. Only the Great can tell you," said Nara carefully.
"Why didn't you just say it?" shanum Urge.
An antique building, with its sturdy structure, large windows, with earth colors, no electricity, as a guide, was scattered around Shanum. This place looks like an ancient building.
Nara put her palms together and squeezed them. "The Great does not give such an order, My Lady. I'm afraid I'm misdelivering it."
Shanum looked at Nara sharply. It seemed like the woman was afraid of leaking something that this clan had kept secret. And there was no way they would be willing to reveal the hidden secrets of their clan so easily.
Nara then approached the curtain to open it, closing the room in darkness.
Shanum's heart was pounding hard, bringing with it a hint of fear with him, and he said just like that, "Let the curtain open."
Shanum did not want to be locked and locked in the darkness, without the lights coming from electrical energy, he was not sure the room would be bright. Being in a place that he did not know a little made his guts shrink.
Nara nods and leaves the window open, the woman tells Shanum to tell him if Shanum needs anything before Nara leaves.
Shanum. He doesn't need anything anymore right now. And the woman lowered her head, then walked out of the room.
Shanum gave a loud sigh. He took the clothes that the woman had put on the bed, and put them on. Undressing his old clothes neatly folded on the table.
Then Shanum slipped into the bed, barely feeling the softness and smoothness of the sheets. He heard the crackling of the fire in the fireplace, and the chirping of birds by the window.
***
Shanum woke up five hours later. It takes a few minutes to remember where he is, and what has happened. Each beat of his heart pushed him back to the previous bloody event. But at least he wasn't tired. Feeling foreign, but can be prepared to wait for the next action of the man named Avraam against him.
Later he thought about his plan to contact Khan through their bond. Maybe tomorrow, after he can find a safe crack without fear of being discovered by Avraam.
Shanum opened the door and saw Avraam in a small sitting room not far from his room. Some people were with that man. Avraam swept his gaze to Shanum, from his soft brown leather shoes, which were practical and comfortable to wear, to his creamy coat along the knee, and the hair ties of his ponytail.
These clothes were available in his closet, so of course Shanum could not protest. Although he was quite bored to see shades of brown, beige, black and yellow ivory that filled his clothing collection.
Behind Shanum's coat, there are thin clothes combined with thicker and warmer brown pants, and a beautiful sweater with a ground color that is even very soft to sleep on. The air in this place was indeed cold, so he had to wear layers of clothes.
The knitting gloves matching the color of his shoes were already put in his coat pocket.
There are no other colors. Surprisingly Shanum only realized that the color of clothing worn by the residents of this clan is also similar. It seems that the concept of various colors is not here. Shanum began to yearn for the colors of the rainbow and the beautiful flowers.
"Is your room comfortable?" avraam asked, though there was some tension in his words as the man got up from his seat and greeted him.
Shanum nodded his head while smiling faintly. He tried not to heed the cold, rigid gaze directed by those people.
The men in the sitting room left after Shanum saw Avraam giving the code with their heads and eyes.
"Come along, I want to take you around" said the man.
Each step of Shanum towards the doorway felt endless as well as inviting. He still continued to open his guard, even though Avraam treated him well.
For a moment, the burden within Shanum disappeared as he devoured all the details of the place.
Sunlight gushed gently, the front yard was spacious and tidy, the grass was dry, bounded by a waist-high stone fence and equipped by several trees, the, all lead to clean streets made of pale road stones.
Avraam rushed to the sturdy wooden fence, opened its slot deftly, then stepped onto the street before stopping on the opposite side of the road.
Shanum saw there were several smaller houses as long as he stepped. Old-fashioned-looking houses with steaming chimneys. Shanum's mouth is wide open, presented with views of the city with a medieval background.
"Oh my God, even the city is exactly the same," Shanum murmured.
Avraam grinning. "I didn't expect to see such a special look of amazement, Beautiful."
"I'm Shanum. Not Beautiful," said Shanum while grunting. His ears began to get sultryly called by the gesture-filled word of the seduction.
The man chuckled. And Shanum's attention was diverted to staring at Avraam who could also laugh amusedly, causing his handsome face to shine even more. Oh my, Shanum, remember! You already have a husband.
Shanum cursed Avraam who had such an alluring look. He thought that the man should look ugly, instead of getting charismatic and handsome. It is easier to hate him. Now that Shanum had doubts, what kind of attitude to face the man was.
"You're beautiful, Shanum. And I like to call you that."
"Huh, stale seduction. You should be ashamed, seducing a married woman" Shanum said. "And speaking of husbands, please give me back to my husband. He must be worried about me right now" he added.
Avraam's expression turned dark for a moment when he heard Shanum's words. His eyes were getting darker. And Shanum can feel the temperature of the air getting cold in this place. Shanum could feel it coming from the man. He began to tighten his vigilance, waiting for an explosion or anything dangerous to come out of the man.
"Look! I don't care about your Fucking Husband! I never considered your marriage either. You were by my side, so you should have been mine. Your marriage is I don't think it's happening here." The man gnashed his jaw, looking furious.
Shanum was shocked to hear that expression of ownership. Since when was he willing to belong to that man? He is forced to come along, as the man threatens Farah's safety.
And the possessive attitude that Avraam showed at this moment made him wonder as well as dizzy. Facing a dominant and possessive man will be a lot of draining, and he does not like to go back to experience it.
"So soon, you will be my concubine, Shanum," the man added.
Shanum was flabbergasted, he gulped. "You, Crazy! You can't possibly do that. It's against the rules."
"Whose rules? Here what applies is my rule, not another." Avraam raised his chin haughtily.
"Nobody would dare to challenge me. And if anyone dares to try, they'll die in my hands."
Shanum shook his head. "I still disagree."
Heart melos. Shanum doesn't want to belong to that man. His soul and mind rejected this.
"You have to agree. Otherwise, you will see the death of your loved ones" the man said again with a sneaky grin.
Shanum looked at the man with an angry expression. "Now you have seen your true face, Mr. Avraam. I had once doubted my own feelings that you were a bad and vile man with your sweet and friendly treatment of me." His gaze was fierce towards Avraam. A golden light slowly appeared around Shanum's body.
"And to the death I will not be with you. So stop that obsession!" Shanum prepared to attack. He was getting sick of the man's absurd behavior.
Avraam smiled disdainfully. "You'll never allow me to die, beautiful. Just let your husband die because his wife is under my grasp."
It turned out that this man deliberately did all those things just to torture Khan slowly. What a cruel and heartless man. Since the beginning Shanum had suspected there must be shrimp behind the stone in all the treatment and sweet words of the man.
Shanum laughs. "Khan Adrian will never languish, you bastard! I'm sure he won't act that weak. He will definitely try to find my whereabouts and fight you."
Some stepped in haste upon seeing his feud with Avraam, and either immediately entered their homes or disappeared from view. The place is now sterile from people. There was only him and Avraam there.
"He'll never find you. This place was never on the map. So, let's see, sweetie. Your husband will surely fall and kill himself. Oh, I was looking forward to that moment." The man then laughed thunderously, his face looking satisfied. It was as if the man had already imagined Khan's death in his eyes.
Anger Shanum lured. He would not let his soulmate die by that evil man. Shanum unleashed his power, he attacked Avraam. The man nimbly immediately dodged. Then he returned his strength. A deep darkness shot towards Shanum.
The necklace on Shanum's neck glowed brightly, the darkness could not touch his body, and it bounced.
Avraam squinted his eyes. Then Shanum heard he cast a spell, the man split into many. Shanum saw a horde of Avraam surrounding him.
