The Woman Ruler of the Altan Clan

The Woman Ruler of the Altan Clan
Chapter 73 The Power of Father

Shanum saw a gaze as sharp as an eagle and almost unsheathed his father's Dimas, attached to Khan. He grimaced in horror hearing his spicy mouth and possessive attitude while scolding Khan. The girl was really shocked three times by Dimas. The first time when he saw the appearance of his parents, the second when Dimas recognized Khan in the middle of his disguise, and the third when he was being rude to the man.

"Dad, we'd better talk inside. It's not good to be on the road like this. Shame when seen and heard by others" Mother interrupts.

Shanum turned his head towards Mother and threw a relieved smile at her. Mother nodded while smiling back at her beloved daughter.

"Come, Dad. Let's talk good inside." Shanum grabbed Dimas' arm to follow him into the villa. Shanum invited Khan to sit down. But just as the girl wanted to sit next to Khan, her father immediately restrained her movements and pulled her to sit on the very end bench, away from the bench where Khan was sitting.

Shanum became misbehaved and misguided, but he still complied. Although Khan stared from the end of the room with a dark look. Raisa, Shanum's mother finally accompanied her daughter to sit on the bench at the end of the room. Followed by Dimas, his father, sat beside them.

Shanum looked at his father and mother and then shifted to Raisa to hold her tightly. "I can't believe I'm seeing Mom and Dad again. You guys disappeared for months. I even thought you guys were on fire with our house." The girl's voice sounded choked, her eyes were starting to glaze over.

"Shhh, already, dear. Forgive Mom and Dad. We can't get back or call you right away." Raisa rubbed Shanum's hair gently. "We're stranded in the woods, son," he added.

Shanum immediately stretched out his embrace, he looked at Raisa with a confused look. "Mom and Dad were kidnapped and taken to the forest?" tanyakanya. Mom nodded, then smiled. "Father who brought Mother into the forest," replied Mother grimacingly. "meaning?" ask Shanum again.

The girl frowned, she was even more confused at Raisa's words. Because of what they go to the forest for if not for being a kidnap victim.

"Let me explain" he said. The man then approached Shanum. He sat next to the girl. Dimas looks restless, he restores his hair while pounding. Then he started telling stories.

"It all started with the arrival of a man and a woman who claimed to be your friend while abroad. They have strange names, hard to name and remember. Confused, Dad asked for an easy nickname, and they told him to call them Gerel and Oriod. Although it's still strange to be mentioned by Dad's tongue."

"What is the full name of Zuunaa Sarangerel Sukhbataar and Doriodats Batuhan?" Khan's voice cuts through Dimas's story. The three of them turned to Khan. A look of astonishment was seen on Shanum's face.

While Dimas snorted when he heard Khan's question. "I can guess for sure all this trouble boils down to you. You know the two suspicious people who came before the fire happened. Tell me if they're related to you?" His accusation with his voice sounded sharp and loud.

Khan stiffened, his face looking flat and stiff. The man did not answer directly. He looked at Shanum. They looked at each other for a while. Mata Shanum. His pupils are really dilated. The man knew, his girl would definitely start to wonder about the relationship he and the two people had.

"The woman is my ex-fiancee, and the man is her personal bodyguard" the man replied. Khan doesn't want to cover it up. He wanted Shanum and his future father-in-law to know that he was trying to be a man who could be trusted with his honesty.

While Shanum tried hard to maintain his breath to remain stable. Especially when looking at Dimas' angry face towards Khan. The girl is like eating the same fruit, eaten by a dead mother, not eaten by a dead father. There are really two hard choices to deal with. Oh my God, what should I do?

"Sway Shanum! You can still find another girl that suits you. You hurt her heart enough yesterday. Don't let this time you get him killed" Dimas said.

Khan's face immediately looked cold, the words hit him right in the heart of a sledgehammer. "I don't have a relationship with those two people anymore. We have not met for a long time. Even the last time we met was very bad." Khan tried to give his clarification. He remained adamant about not getting caught up with the two people.

"What do I care?! It's none of my business! I don't want my daughter to be wretched. It had been enough of his suffering all this time to be haunted by that nightmare. I'm sure my daughter must have told you." The man was getting blood-ridden hearing Khan's reasoning.

For a moment, Khan's chest was pressed tight and strong, his hands clenched in his lap as it endured the turmoil of mixed feelings in his heart. He wanted to get angry, but there was no way he would channel that anger into Dimas. Khan understood that he was just a father trying to protect his son. But Khan could not give up. Shanum is his soul mate, not everyone as lucky as him gets that miracle. He must keep trying, must not give up losing.

"But, Sir... I'm serious about your daughter. I promise to take care of him. Shanum will be safe if it's on my side" Khan said.

The man underestimated. "There are still many other men out there who are better than you, who can look after and love him." Shanum's father still remained firm on his decision, he did not want Shanum to be in love with Khan.

"Dad.." call Shanum. The girl's voice was trembling. The words of Dimas had echoed into him, making something in his soul crack. Dimas raised his hand, gesturing for Shanum to remain silent. And the girl bit her lips with a cloudy face and resigned.

"Sorry, sir, I will not give up. I will continue to fight for our relationship" Khan said with a determined face.

"Oh, so you dare to challenge me. After all, Shanum is my daughter. Anyway I don't want you to get close to him anymore. Now you'd better go back to your country, "turn Dimas out in a loud voice.

Shanum had seen a jaded and shattered expression on Khan's face. But then invisible again, the face turned back into an indecipherable stiff. The man tried to cover it up. The girl could feel it echoing in her soul, through their bonds. He was also sick to accept the impact of the turmoil of Khan's feelings, until finally he decided to close his access.

While Khan rubbed his face, he let out a tired sigh. He tried to guess the thing that made Shanum's father hate him so much. What was it about his first lie? Or a new problem about the emergence of his former fiancee?

Not his wish, if the two troublemakers suddenly appeared. Shouldn't the man seek information first about the truth, before dropping the verdict against him.

But since Dimas was Shanum's father, he didn't know what to say. So he tried to tolerate it. Khan took a deep breath and turned towards Shanum. His eyes looked at the girl with sadness. Looking at the girl who was stared at only showed a calm and flat expression.

In an instant, Khan's confidence faltered, and he wondered if he might be mistaken. Wrongly assume the girl will fight for their relationship as well. Since then, Shanum had not said anything to his father. Just one word, which his father could break.

Khan tried to read the girl's feelings through their bondage. But he shut it down, he cut off their bond communication. And it provoked even more anxiety in Khan's heart. He must return to Astrakhan. If before his departure their relationship ended with a misunderstanding, how could he calmly leave the girl.

Then the hot atmosphere in the room was interrupted with the appearance of Sergei, Jullian and Abdan. Dimas stared intently back at the three. And the three of them looked puzzled getting a hostile reaction from the man.

"Who else are these people, Shanum?" dimas asked as he looked towards his daughter. Shanum did not reply, his face flat staring at the window. The girl was no longer interested in being in this place. He wanted to return to the quiet shade of his room. And let out all the sadness he felt in his chest.

Sergei cleared his throat with a smile. "I'm Sergei, Sir. You remember, we met at the airport, I brought Shanum and his two friends back to this country."

Dimas frowned for a while, then his face turned bright, "Ah. yes, you're the man who owns the plane." Dimas smiled at Sergei. "How are you, sir?" ask Sergei. "We were panicking looking for you both. How did you and your wife survive the fire?" Questions burst out of Sergei's mouth. Only she seemed to get a good response from Dimas, compared to her own daughter and her lover.

"Well, I'm confused too. During the fire we were trapped in our room. I who was hugging my wife finally resigned waiting for death to pick us up. In my memory there was a flashback when Shanum was still in his mother's stomach. When we were in some remote place in Borneo, where my work project was at that time." Dimas seemed to be smiling faintly.

"When I was reminiscing about those times, suddenly the atmosphere around me changed. I felt the room room become narrowed, and it looked vague. When I blinked, we were no longer in the room." Dimas looked at his wife Raisa, with a smile rising on his lips.

Shanum glanced, apparently he was again interested in following the course of the conversation. He was seen opening his mouth, but he was stopped. The girl did not cut her father's story, she still felt sad and disappointed towards the man.

"I gawked at the forest unfolding in my eyes. Then I looked at my wife. We look like fools. At first I thought I was having some kind of hallucination near death. But when I heard my wife's startled cry about a monkey hanging from a tree, I thought it was real. We really moved places. We then searched the nearest settlement for help. Fortunately, the location of the settlement is not too far away. After I asked the person who was willing to take us, it turned out that we were in Kalimantan, in the area where Shanum was born, in the present." The man's face looked amazed.

"I still don't understand, why can we move to the area? But because I already knew from Shanum's story, that in my family blood flowed with magic power, so I was not too shocked to experience it. I assume somehow, my ancestors are still protecting me."

"Based on your story, I can draw a conclusion, it is a type of teleportation power," Sergei cut without a care Dimas who had opened his mouth to continue his story, had to close it again to hear a sudden remark from Sergei.

"What is teleportation?" Dimas asked back while frowning.

"You don't know what teleportation is?" ask Sergei again. Dimas shook his head with a curious face. He was waiting for some sort of further explanation from the man.

Sergei turned his head towards Khan. The man asked for his consent to explain to Dimas about teleportation. Is it permissible to unlock the magic secret of one of those extremely rare powers? Especially to humans who were not members of any clan.

Although if traced based on pedigree, Dimas is actually a descendant of the Batbayar Clan. But, in order not to violate the provisions that have existed for centuries, Sergei still had to ask permission from one of the Great Clan leaders. And since there was one Great One who was clearly present in the room, so the man was of course given convenience, he just asked for permission.

Khan did not immediately reply, he glanced at Shanum as he saw the girl's movements. He noticed that the girl had risen from her stool. Khan's gaze followed the direction of the girl who turned towards a room. Khan's behavior is of course the concern of everyone in the room. Since the man was at the center of their view, he was waiting to give his consent to the explanation of the teleportation earlier.

Dimas frowned, he only noticed and felt an unusual amount of authority emanating from the man approaching his daughter. Who is Khan Adrian? Why was Sergei staring at the man with respect? It was impossible for a wealthy businessman to have such a majestic aura. Dimas saw the man look more like a king. But the hell time a king wants to be with his daughter who incidentally is nobody.

Khan's face still remained expressionless flat, engrossed in looking towards the room where Shanum was now. But when he heard the gloom from Sergei, the man finally turned his head. He frowned when he heard Sergei speaking in Mongolian to him. Khan then nodded his head as a voiceless gesture allowing Sergei to explain about the teleportation to Dimas.

And Sergei rolled his eyeballs, when he saw the man again directing his eyes to the room where Shanum was, just like before.

"So, sir, teleportation is the ability to move places just by imagining the place the person who is endowed with the power to do so will be able to. Based on your story earlier, I'm sure you unwittingly have that power" Sergei explained with a faint smile.

Dimas raised his eyebrows. "You mean I also have powers like my daughter?"

"Yes. And do not rule out the possibility that you also have other powers. And that power comes when you are desperate or just in a precarious state" Sergei said.

"But why after that incident did my powers never reappear?" ask Dimas.

"You never sharpen your strength and train it. So you cannot control it" Sergei replied again.

Sergei thanked Shanum, as the girl placed a drink on the table before him. It turned out that the girl had been making drinks for them. Since the servant was comforted by her, the girl herself ended up having to intervene on her own.

"Jullian, I hope you can help Shanum's father with this teleportation." Suddenly Khan gave the order to the man who was standing upright near the door.

"Okay, Great One," replied Jullian.

"I don't need your help and your men." Dimas interjected with a tinge of ketus voice.

"Dad..." Suddenly Raisa, Shanum's mother pokes her husband. Dimas turned his head and raised his eyebrows. Raisa approached the man and whispered in his ear. The change in the look of his face is very noticeable, if he does not like the thing that is being whispered by his wife.

Everyone looked at the couple with curious looks. They wondered, what exactly did Shanum's mother whisper to her husband?
