The Woman Ruler of the Altan Clan

The Woman Ruler of the Altan Clan
Chapter 51 Away

Shanum closed his eyes and let Khan's affirmation absorb within him. Then he straightened his body. "Well, if you insist on talking to him."

Shanum felt he could never prepare himself for a nightmare. Nightmares would strike her at a time when she was fragile, wreaking havoc and disaster, and she was completely helpless.

And nightmares don't always happen while he's sleeping. Khan's desire to talk to Mr. Reno was one of those nightmares, and he could have predicted it.

Shanum approached Mr. Reno who was still standing at the door, watching him with a worried look.

"Are you okay, Shanum?" tanyakanya.

"Yes sir, physically I'm fine." The girl smiled thinly.

The man frowned. "What do you mean, Shanum?"

"We'd better not talk at the door. Soon you will know," Shanum said enigmaticly.

Shanum then went back into the room, and threw his butt in the chair where he was sitting. While Mr. Reno followed his actions. But he chose to sit next to her.

Shanum. He looked hesitant and nervous. "Sorry, someone wants to talk to you. Please help me, so that there will be no misunderstanding later on, Reno."

The wrinkle on the man's forehead deepened. It was obvious that he was very confused by Shanum's ambiguous remarks. It was as if the man was contributing to causing trouble to Shanum. Although in reality, without realizing it, Mr. Reno has made a mess in his love story.

And Shanum did deliberately not want to explain in more detail, because Khan had been waiting since. He did not want to make the man even more angry and misunderstood. The girl immediately put her phone on the table with the support of a flower vase in the middle of the table.

"Please, Adri. This is Reno, he's already here."

"What's this, Shanum? Who is this guy? This is your friend, who you just said it was?" ask Mr. Reno in wonder. His face looks unhappy.

"Meet me, I'm Khan Adrian, Shanum's fiancee. I've heard stories about you from him."

Mr. Reno turned to Shanum. The girl could only grimace at the Khan's words just now. Although he did not agree that the man was lying about their engagement status, which of course was not true, he could not deny it.

For the time being, he would heed his ears, and protest against them later while they were communicating alone. Shanum did not want to embarrass Khan in front of Mr. Reno.

"Wedding?" asked Mr. Reno with a suddenly cloudy face. He rubbed his face then stared intently at Shanum.

"So this is what made you run away from the hospital the other day. Why don't you say it, Shanum?"

"I'm sorry..." The girl lowered her head not daring to look directly at the man.

"It's not Shashaku's fault. He only has a soft heart, and does not want to offend you. Because of you, after all, he's someone he respects." Khan defends Shanum. And the girl immediately raised her head, she looked towards the screen. A faint smile rose on his lips for Khan.

The man did not respond, his face remained indecipherable cold. Shanum breathed deeply. It seemed like the man's anger was still far from finished.

"I heard your words with my girl. Never say it again. I appreciate how you feel about her. But Shanum Qamira is mine. And I'll never let anyone take it from me. Do you understand?" khan said in a cold tone and his already legendary feet.

Mr. Reno immediately squinted his eyes. His eyes glittered sharply. A cynical smile appeared on his lips. "Are you intimidating me? Go ahead and you can say anything. I'm not scared! Shanum is not an item, he has a will, he has the right to determine who he will choose."

"Being engaged is not a real attachment for me!" added Mr. Reno in an understated tone.

Khan grinning. "alright. If you keep insisting on your opinion."

Shanum. The two men were fighting, they looked like two little children fighting over a toy. And he was that contested toy. How laughable!

"And to me, your words were a gesture to prepare an assault strategy. We here do not easily forget such a gesture. Always remember what I said, Reno!" khan added with a sinister expression from his face.

Wretch! Mr. Reno doesn't know how dangerous Khan is. It's gone, in vain that he tried to save her. Now he's not sure, Khan will release the man.

"Are you threatening me?" hiss Mr. Reno.

"Enough, use your common sense! I'm not willing to be made into this useless quarrel," Shanum slashed tightly while scuttering.

"And you, Adri, I don't want you to inflame the drums of war on him. He doesn't know anything. It's not the same as the situation there. So hold your anger, Adri. Let me finish it." The girl looked at Khan firmly. The man then snorted to hear his words.

"Tell me, Shanum. Are you getting engaged to this guy? If it's true, I can help talk about it with your parents" he urged.

Shanum closed his eyes, then shook his head violently. "No, Sir!"

"You sure you can be happy with a cold and arrogant guy like this?" ask again.

"Hey, it's none of your business!" geram Khan's.

Oh, my God.. What do I do to solve this problem?

"I asked him, not you! And our conversation is over.. What was your name? Can's... Kan.. ah, whatever. I'll just hear Shanum's words, not yours."

Mr. Reno then presses the off button on the screen. Khan's face disappeared from there. Shanum gasped in surprise. The man unilaterally dared to turn off his phone. He did not want to imagine what Khan would do after this to the man.

"I'm sorry, Shanum. But I don't like him. He looks like a rude man, who will play with his hands to hurt you. You sure about him?"

Shanum leaned his body against the chair, looking limp. His head was throbbing pain. And his stomach feels nauseous. If he could escape and forget, he would.

But unfortunately he was not educated to be such a cowardly and irresponsible person.

"You okay, honey?" ask Mr. Reno again.

Hearing those words again, Shanum growled, his head growing foggy with fury that started to move thickly. He held back his strength which started to lunge out with all his might. But the turmoil within his chest could no longer be dammed.

"Already, Sir! You're making me sicker. I can't return your feelings. I only consider you a lecturer whom I admire for his intelligence, and friendliness. It can't be more than that, sir. I loved that guy so much. And now you... You made my relationship..."

"Argh..." Shanum stomped himself up from the chair, then walked towards the window. He stared out the window with teary eyes. She should not cry, even if it was out of annoyance. Her tears won't solve the problem, but they can create new conflicts.

Shanum tried to hold it, then folded one of his hands on the glass, and pressed his forehead there. Her breath feels tight. Slowly he tried to catch his breath.

"Shanum, i.... Oh, I didn't mean to..." Mr. Reno looked flabbergasted, he was suddenly at a loss for words. The man rubbed his hair and sighed loudly.

Shanum straightened his body back up, then turned his head. He looked at the pain-filled gaze before him. Shanum had seen such eye flashes. The gaze was on Khan, as he chased her out of the room in anger. After he awakens from a dream that reunites him with Nekhii.

And that face made him uneasy and regretful. He hurt that guy. But there's no other way. If allowed to drag on, he himself will be increasingly hurt.

"Sir Reno, I'm sorry, I..." Shanum also has no power to continue his sentence. He doesn't know what to say anymore. The sense of regret that he showed through his facial expression, should be able to be examined by the man.

Mr. Reno then gave a stop signal with one of his hands, as Shanum was about to approach. His position was standing near the chair. "You'd better go home, Shanum. I. I need to understand this," he said while choking. Mr. Reno walked out of the room. Leaving Shanum who was very shocked to see his rude reaction.

Shanum immediately cleaned up the paper collection that Mr. Reno had checked from the table, and put it in a bag. Then he took his phone and looked around.

***

During this one month Shanum felt like he was losing his way. The phone was not picked up and the unanswered message by Khan was accurate enough to shake his mind. His mind refused to acknowledge that he had lost the man.

Shanum took a deep breath, his eyes glazed over. His life right now needs a delicate balance. Although during his return from Astrakhan his life had been lived through with a painful imbalance.

Mr. Reno also avoided it like a plague. Two days after the incident at his home, his assistant Mas Danu called Shanum, saying for a while a thesis consultation could be handed over to the man.

Mr. Reno is being prevented from direct guidance, arguing that he is busy attending several seminar activities on several campuses.

But Shanum berated him, and did not lose Mr. Reno too much, although he felt guilty for hurting the man. What he regretted the most was losing another man. The ruler of his soul. If this is how heartbreak feels he does not want to feel in love.

"Well, he's pensive again. The world calls Shanum." Farah moved her palms in front of her face, trying to pull her back from the daydream.

Shanum smiled faintly. "You called me?" tanyakanya.

Farah patted her forehead and Diva chuckled amusedly.

"Sorry.." said Shanum with a shy smile.

"It's free to take her to this mall. From earlier his face was busy bent continuously," said Farah.

"Don't do that, we're trying to keep her entertained. No, Shanum." Diva smiled at him.

"Yes, thank you, ladies. Please understand, I still can't move on," he lamented with a grim face.

"Already, Sha. We understand that." Diva clapped her hand.

"Eh, by the way, that was Diva's story, Sha. In this college gossip girl group, there's been a lot of news about Mr. Reno."

"Oh..." Shanum nodded, but his face showed no further interest.

Farah raised her eyebrows. "Kok just oh, the reaction," he protested with a frown.

"Keep me how?" Shanum asked and went back to sipping his drink.

"Already, Farah. Shanum was not interested in Mr. Reno. You already know who he's thinking about." Diva pokes Farah while smiling amusedly.

"But he still has to know dong. That man's change in behavior could be because of him."

"What behavior change do you mean?" shanum is interested.

"Well, I want to know too."

Shanum rolled his eyeballs. "If the story is not half. Let's go on."

Farah grinned and said, "So that hot topic, Mr. Reno is now never again friendly. He was pensive more often and only smiled faintly as necessary."

"To be precise, the attitude becomes eleven-twelve like you, Sha," cut the Diva with a smile.

Shanum shrugged his shoulders. "Oh, that's just it."

Farah directly pinched Shanum's shoulder. "Huh, get anxious. The time you don't feel something is so, responsible is possible" he said.

Shanum rubbed his shoulders while pouting. "Why am I responsible? It wasn't me who intentionally made it that way."

Shanum looked at the faces of his two best friends and let out a tired sigh. "The problem is that feelings cannot be forced. I don't want to hurt him either. But if I don't speak frankly about my true feelings, there will be another, even worse problem. I'm sure one day Mr. Reno will find a woman who can reciprocate his feelings."

"Yes anyway. But according to your story, the last atmosphere you met ended up chaotic. Don't you want to say something, which might melt the stiff atmosphere between you."

"I apologized to him at the time, Farah. And it seems only time can melt this unpleasant atmosphere" he said.

"You're not worried about your script. He could have given you a bad grade" said Diva.

Shanum. "I'm sure, Mr. Reno is not that shallow. He could definitely separate between his personal feelings and his duties as a lecturer."

"Then what about Khan, that super-cold man?" asked Farah while sneering.

Shanum stared intently at Farah. "Don't say anything bad about him!"

"Huh, still defended. It's obvious he's hurting you" Farah said with a snort.

"Hey, no, no more fighting," said Diva trying to melt the atmosphere that began to heat up.

"Sha, I've also tried to get Sergei to meet Khan. But, Sergei said, the man was hard to find. He seemed to know Sergei was looking for him. And I've also told him according to your message that Mr. Reno doesn't need to have his memory erased."

"It's okay, Diva. I understand, and thank Sergei. I owe him a lot."

"Look easy, Sha. We're all friends so it's commonplace to help each other."

When the atmosphere was silent, and they were engrossed in their thoughts, Shanum's phone rang loudly.

He stared at the cell phone he had placed on the canteen table with a frown. Shanum saw Mr. Dirman's name on the screen. The girl lifted him up.

"Yes, Mr. Dirman. What's up, huh?" Shanum heard a sobbing sound from inside the phone.

"Non Shanum, there's bad news." Mr. Dirman was silent for a moment. He exhaled his breath.

"What bad news, sir? Say it!" sahut Shanum with a face started to worry. His heart was beating hard.

"Fire house, Non. My mom and dad are still inside. We were too late to save them. Now the fire department is trying to put out the fire. But. but they have not been able to enter to evacuate the Father and Mother. The fire's weird Non, it can't be extinguished."

The girl's face was pale. "No," Shanum began to cry. "How am I going to live my life without them?"

The phone was tightly gripped by the girl. Tears wet his cheeks with great force. He looked at his two friends in front of him with empty eyes.

"No!" Shanum roared sadly. He then handed his phone to Diva. "Please..You talk to Mr. Dirman, I can not afford," said Shanum with a choked tone of voice due to crying. Diva received the phone with an anxious face. So too with Farah. They talked through the phone loudspeaker with Mr. Dirman.

Shanum covered his face with both palms, with his elbows as support on the table. She was still crying softly. He never knew his pain would get worse. Khan left him, and now both his parents are affected by the disaster.

Grief strangled him, sorrow greater than anything he had ever imagined gnawed at his soul. He still hid his face behind his palms, and continued to cry.
