Time Will Heal

The patient monitor sound sounded like an alarm sign of danger, making Yona who was asleep immediately awake. The woman's eyes widened to see Regan's body shaking violently there. Yona quickly exited Regan's ward and shouted to the nurse and the guard doctor at the end of the fifth-floor hall.

“Patient-“ No time Yona continued her words, the nurses there and the doctor on guard immediately ran towards the room where Regan was being treated.

“Her blood pressure is dropping, his heart rate is unstable Doctor,”.

The doctor immediately checked the condition of Regan's body.

“Her heart rate is getting weaker, CPR!” the doctor shouted and the male nurse immediately climbed on the bed and performed CPR with her hands on Regan's chest.

Another nurse asks Yona to come out so that Regan's lover does not hinder the course of medical efforts.

“Please wait outside,” he said asking Yona to come out immediately because that is a medical procedure that must be followed by the patient's family so as not to interfere with the course of the examination conducted to the patient.

In fact, the presence of a patient's family in the room further adds anxiety to those who want to do something to the patient. Not to mention the sound of crying and hysterical screams of the patient's family which is also very disturbing their concentration so that it can not be optimal in providing medical help.

“Please, save Regan,” isak Yona cupped her hands begging.

The nurses closed the door to Regan's room from the inside, even preparing a heart shock device if the man's heartbeat did not go back to normal. Regan's body trembled violently, not knowing what the man was currently imagining and what was happening to him.

Rehan along with dr.Irawan immediately ran to Regan's nursery, Rehan approached Yona for a moment to let dr.Irawan enter first into the room his best friend treated.

“Yona,” call Rehan approached the woman who is loved by his best friend.

Rehan stroked Yona's shoulder. “Please yourself, everything will be fine,” said Rehan giving strength to Yona.

Yona sobbed, the woman scattering in Rehan's arms not knowing who to ask for support at a time like this. The woman's legs shook, seeing Regan's condition like that made her heart seem to stop beating. Yona no longer knows what to do but pray and leave Regan's condition to the doctors who treat them.

“Rehan, what happened to him?” isak Yona in Rehan's arms.

“Stttt, everything will be back to normal. Don't think badly he was treated by a great doctor,” Rehan told Yona.

After a few minutes, Lili and Septian rush to Regan's ward after getting a call from Rehan if Regan's body weakens and the man's vital condition worsens.

Lili looked at Yona in Rehan's arms the woman's tears were rushing, Lili approached Yona there.

“Yona what happened?” lili asked with her eyes glazed over.

“Mother, Regan ... Mother. Hikss,” isak Yona switch hugging Lili.

They both cry for Regan, both will not be able to if they have to lose Regan or something bad happens to the man. 

“Regan suddenly convulsed and her body shook, Mother,” isak Yona with tears that kept dripping down her cheeks.

Rehan just fell silent not knowing what else to say, seizures that come suddenly to patients who are in a coma can be caused by several factors that affect it. It could also be because of a crack that occurred in Regan's head that caused him to spasm suddenly.

Inside there, both the doctor and the doctor help each other to restore Regan's condition back to stable. The blood pressure seen on the patient monitor went up and down, and Regan's heart rate did not improve.

The two doctors inside looked at each other, they nodded their heads.

“Call the patient's family,” said dr.Irawan rubbed his face frustrated at failing to restore the stability of Regan's body at this time.

The nurse opened the door there.

“The patient's family can enter,” said the nurse made Yona, Regan, and both Regan's parents enter the room.

Seen the doctor had removed the oxygen hose from Regan's nose, Yona ran towards dr.Irawan.

“No, why did you take off the oxygen hose of the doctor. How will Regan be able to breathe without the help of that oxygen hose!” isak Yona blocked the hands of dr.Irawan who was about to put the oxygen hose into place.

Dr. Irawan let out a long sigh, he looked at Rehan asking the man to explain the patient's condition to his family. Rehan's eyes glazed over, it's like a dream to him. It is unlikely that Regan will be that easy to give up her condition now and choose to leave the woman she loves as well as her entire family and friends.

Rehan walked towards his friend. “Shoppers, don't joke stupid!” rehan shouted in front of Regan with teary eyes.

“Rehan, what happened. He can't go, right?” isak Yona looked at Rehan there.

Yona cries hugging Regan's body, she can't possibly lose the man. Yona already loves Regan too much and it is impossible to let go of Regan as easily as that.

While Lili is now in her husband's arms, the woman continues to cry seeing Regan getting pale and the doctors who handle her son have given up.

“We have all done our best, but it looks like Regan's body can no longer continue the struggle,” said dr.Irawan full of regrets.

“Takkkkkkk, Regannnnnnnn!” lili shouted about to scatter towards Regan's body but swiftly Septian prevented it.

Lili fainted in Septian embrace, the woman was unable to accept this bitter reality. Lili couldn't just lose her son.

The nurse helps Septian to lay Lilies in the waiting room in Regan's room. Septian asks the nurse to look after his wife while returning to Regan's place to ask what happened to Regan's body condition. It felt impossible if his son could just leave them.

“Doctor, he didn't die right? My son is still breathing Doctor,” said Septian showing a faint roar of Regan's breath.

Dr.Irawan nodded. “That was the last pulse sir, his heart was no longer able to beat as before,” explained dr.Irawan made Septian decay to the floor.

Yona wept roaring hugging Regan there. “Shoppers, you made me love me. You were chasing me like crazy and now you want to leave me, huh? Get up Regan, wake up or I'll kill you right now!” yona's screams sounded so heartbreaking to anyone who heard it.

Yona tearfully hits Regan's chest, hoping for a miracle and the heart beats again.

“You have no right to this heart, it just beats for me. So let me order that heart to keep beating beside me. Wake up I said!” yona's shout made everyone there unable to hold back their tears.

Rehan holds Yona's body, taking the woman into his arms.

“Pacify yourself, I was in your position,” said Rehan with tears that along with bitterness that they now have to accept.

Yona cries hysterically in Regan's arms, Yona will not be able to live again after making Regan die because of her. Why does all this have to happen? If Yona is the cause of Regan's death, God should not have to bring them together and make the love in their hearts grow as it is now.

God should not have introduced Yona to the figure of Regan who is very responsible and committed to his promise.

“He promised to always be with me,” isak Yona in Rehan's arms.

Rehan stroked slowly on Yona's back, all no one knew was that Regan would end up like this. Rehan did not even expect that his best friend would give up on his condition now.

Everyone turned their heads, the patient monitor again showed the patient's heartbeat which now reappeared there. Dr. Irawan swiftly gave the oxygen hose back to Regan's nose.

“Takkk!!” regan shouted awake from his subconscious.

The whole crowd was shocked to see Regan shouting, Yona and Rehan instantly drew closer towards Regan. Dr. Irawan and Rehan did the examination,

“Brother Regan, can you hear me?” dr. Irawan asked as Regan opened her eyes with her breath wheezing.

Blurr, Regan's eyes narrowed to see the faces of everyone who seemed unclear to him. Their bodies look very clear.

“Brother Regan?” ask dr.Irawan to make sure.

“Hmm,” replied Regan with her limp voice.

“Regan?” lirih Yona looked at Yona with a happy binary and was also moved.

The woman cries in her place, while Regan frowns as soon as she hears Yona's exact same voice as the one in her dream.

“I where? Ahh!” his stranglehold when he was about to wake up from his sleep felt a painful pulse that he felt inside his head.

“Regan, you're in the hospital. Soon I will check on you,” said Rehan.

Regan blocked the man's hand. “You Rehan?” regan asked to confirm the voice of his best friend that he had memorized so much.

Everyone stared at each other, Dr. Irawan checked the condition of Regan's eyes and the man's eye bead showed a reaction.

“Her eyes are normal, Regan's brother what's the number?” ask Dr.Irawan to Regan.

Dr.Irawan pointed his four fingers at Regan, the man looking at her.

“Four,” Regan replied.

There was nothing wrong with Regan's eyes, but why did Regan seem confused looking at everyone there.

“Regan, this is Dad.” Septian approached Regan.

Regan clasped his father's hand. “Dad, why can't Regan see Dad's face?” regan asked to make the three doctors there go wide.

It's a rare case of a head injury, it seems Regan's wounds are really serious.

“What are you currently complaining about?” ask dr.Irawan.

“I can see your body and all things, but your face feels blurred and unclear,” replied Regan.

Both Dr. Irawan and Rehan shut their mouths, which they feared would eventually happen. The damage caused by the impact apparently affected Regan's brain function to memorize and recognize the faces of everyone.

“Regan do you know this woman? He's Yona,” Rehan said making Regan frown.

“Yona who?” regan asked, making Yona's hand shake.

The guy forgot himself? Regan doesn't remember anything about Yona? O God what is this misfortune that befalls Yona why Yona like just received a curse to get a calamity followed like this.

“Regan-“ Yona's greeting came to a halt as dr.Irawan raised his hand.

“What date is Regan's brother?” ask Dr. Irawan to confirm Regan's memory.

“5 May, as I recall a few days ago I had just attended an education day ceremony. Why am I suddenly here?” regan asked looking at everyone there even though they had no face for Regan.

It's so scary for Regan, she can see bodies but she can't see the faces of everyone who's in front of her.

Dr.Irawan looked at Septian and Yona. “Patients have to do some checking,” he said of Septian.

“Regan, you don't remember me?” yona asked with a trembling voice.

“Have we met before? Your voice seems familiar to me,” asked Regan to make sure.

Yona shook her head, maybe Regan's current condition is not good. Yona has to hold back and must not make Regan have the burden of a mind just to remember herself. Yona steps her foot out of Regan's room. Tears poured down the woman's face.

After Regan returns from the brink of her death, why would Yona swallow a bitter pill if Regan doesn't remember her at all. Though Yona wanted to tell Regan a lot of things and cursed the man because he had shed many tears until this moment.

Yona enters the elevator, pressing the first floor button in ana. Just as the elevator was about to close, a hand blocked it. Rehan walked into the elevator and smiled at Yona.

“You want to calm down in my room? Soon Melodi will finish the shift and accompany you there,” bargain Rehan is embraced by Yona.

Rehan pressed button two there, they just fell silent inside the elevator. Only the sound of a rude gasp of breath sounded so heartbreaking. Rehan invites Yona into his room, giving the woman a drink to calm down.

“Rehan what exactly happened with him?” yona asked with tears still dripping nonstop.

“Because of the wound on Regan's head, there are many possibilities. Including partial memory loss and not being able to recognize faces,” explains Rehan made Yona stare at the man fixedly.

“Means Regan just forgot part of her memory?” tanya Yona is taken by Rehan.

Yona lowered her head, did that include her being a forgotten part of Regan? Why does it have to be like that? Not this kind of awareness that Yona wanted, Yona wanted the man to be as conscious and healthy as ever without any lack of anything.

“He can't heal?” ask Yona.

“Can, depends on a person's own body. There are months and even years,”, Rehan explained, making Yona sigh resignedly.

“That means Regan will forget me? She won't remember all about me?” ask Yona sobbing.

“Yona, we cannot impose our will. Regan's life is at stake if the man forces himself to recall his lost memories,” Rehan said softly.

Yona cries there, Yona does not expect Regan to forget herself that easily. All the memories they had missed, and also the days they had spent together.

“Why should Regan?” lirih Yona hid her face with both her hands.

The melody that had just entered Rehan's room was shocked to see Yona's extremely miserable condition. Melody sat beside Yona, stroking the woman's trembling back.

“Yona, calm yourself,” said Melodi who knew about Regan's condition from a nurse who was in a team with her.

Melodi and Rehan had expected it from the beginning, but they always prayed for all the best. This must have been a harsh blow to Yona. She becomes a forgotten woman, but Yona looks forward to Regan's consciousness.

“Time will heal,” watered Melody.
