Breakfasted

Half-seven in the morning, as Gavin felt the small body of Kalea wriggling quietly in his arms, Gavin tried to pull the body closer to him. The sleepiness that attacked him from a night of not sleeping to make sure Kalea was safe did not make Gavin disturbed.

"Gavin?" call Kalea with a hoarse voice typical of people just waking up.

"Sleep again. Just half a seven." Gavin said without any intention of releasing Kalea from his arms. He slowly wiped the Kalea arm in order to channel a little more comfort. Or perhaps, Gavin did so in an attempt to calm himself down.

"I'm okay, Gavin." Kalea tried to escape from Gavin's arms. Fortunately, the man wanted to be kind so that now he could nail a look at the dark bead Gavin who clearly looks tired.

"Evening was a little bit of a shock. It's okay now." Kalea said again, trying to convince Gavin that his condition had stabilized again.

"Sorry," an apology that suddenly shot out of Gavin's lips suddenly made Kalea shake her head vigorously.

"Don't apologize, it's not your fault." Kalea touched Gavin's face, for the first time daring to rub the cheek gently and affectionately. "I don't want you to feel guilty for something that wasn't your fault."

"It's obviously my fault, Kal. I failed to protect you." Clear fog began to envelop Gavin's reddened eyes. His voice trembled slightly, a combination of sadness and anger.

"It's not your fault." Kalea Resolute. "It's not your fault, put it in your head from now on."

Gavin took a deep breath. He recovered the body of Kalea. The woman's head was rubbed several times. "I'll find the culprit until I get it, Kal. I won't let anyone hurt you." Gavin's scales are right in Kalea's ears.

Kalea said nothing, she just nodded her head from inside Gavin's arms, occasionally returning to lament the strangely masculine scent as if it was perfectly attached to Gavin's body. The distinctive aroma that Kalea knew she would not be able to find in anyone's body.

For minutes they just kept quiet and hugged each other. Until finally the sound that emerged from the stomach of Kalea who was rumbling made the two simultaneously withdraw and look at each other for a while.

The laughter is inevitable. Thanks to a terrible incident last night, Kalea did not have time to taste the cuisine that Gavin had prepared. He was busy crying and trying to calm himself. Now his stomach is completely empty.

Gavin, as a standby husband would certainly not let his beloved wife starve. So, he hurriedly got up from the bed. But not until his feet hit the floor, Gavin stopped. He turned his head towards Kalea and remained silent for a while, seemingly thinking.

"Why?" ask Kalea who is already in a sitting position. Seeing Gavin only speechless in front of certainly raises a question mark on the head.

"Follow me into the kitchen. From now on, I won't leave you alone." Even if necessary, I will take you with me to the bathroom. Gavin only said his sentence in part, the last line only he said in his heart because he did not want to make the atmosphere strange and awkward.

"I'm here anyway." Reject Kalea. Actually, he was also afraid of being left alone. But, to be honest, he still felt pain in his body and walking down the stairs was a challenge for him. Yes, you can call Kalea spoiled, it's okay. Because in fact she is indeed the child of Mama who was forced to take the role of a wife without any preparation.

"No, you have to come with me." Gavin and his stubbornness.

Without warning, even without bothering to ask permission, Gavin immediately lifted Kalea's body from the mattress and carried it.

Kalea flinched, but she seemed to have no strength to resist when Gavin's dark bead stared at her so intensely as if giving her a code to obey.

"But" Gavin suddenly stopped his steps on the third step. He looked at Kalea seriously. His gaze then went down to the side of Kalea's lips which seemed many times more tempting than before. "Can I get my morning kiss first?"

"What do you want to cook?" asked Kalea who couldn't stay in her seat.

A few minutes ago, Gavin was preoccupied with a variety of food ingredients that he released without hesitation from the refrigerator. Seeing Gavin's wide back continue to move to and fro made Kalea's chest pound again.

"You have no right to ask questions since you refused to give me the morning kiss that was rightfully mine." Gavin answered without turning his head, making Kalea snort miserably.

Then no more protests slid from the corners of his lips. Kalea rolled her head on the dining table, looking at Gavin who was deftly preparing food without much talk.

Not until twenty minutes later, Gavin walked up to him with a bowl of soup still puffing smoke. The man placed the bowl of soup on the table and Kalea practically lifted her head from there.

"Chicken soup?" ask Kalea. His eyes looked at the chicken soup and Gavin alternately.

"Yes." Yeah." Gavin answered briefly. He waltzed away and returned shortly afterwards while carrying two rice dishes for himself and Kalea.

"Well, where do I know I like chicken soup?" kalea asked after Gavin sat next to her.

"Should you have it?" Gavin turned his head, showing an annoyed look that was actually just made up, he was just trying to tease Kalea about the morning kiss that he did not get.

Given such an answer, Kalea scowled. With a slight jerking motion, Kalea began to spoon the rice into her mouth and chewed it willy-nilly. He did not touch the chicken soup that Gavin had cooked and only continued to feed the rice, making Gavin unable to resist laughter. Really, Kalea looks really funny when she's sulking.

Aware of her being laughed at, Kalea glanced cynically at Gavin. Which of course makes the man's laughter more so-so.

Upset that Gavin kept laughing at her (whether because of what), Kalea lashed a slow blow to her shoulder. "Don't laugh, you'll sprain!" pretexts.

Instead of stopping, Gavin's laughter grew louder. It was as if the man had deliberately wanted to tease her.

"Gaaaaaviiiinnn.." Kalea whine suddenly.

And the whimper turned out to be powerful enough to make Gavin stop his laughter. The man stared at Kalea.

"Yes, yeah. I don't laugh anymore." He said in a super soft voice. "You also don't crave anymore, eat the chicken soup." He then pushed the soup bowl closer to Kalea.

Wrong behavior because of being presented with such a gentle gaze and voice, Kalea also complied. He started scooping up Gavin's chicken soup and stuffed it into his mouth. Swallowed it with great difficulty because the butterfly colony in his stomach was throwing a tantrum again.

Meanwhile, next to him, Gavin just kept quiet and watched how Kalea ate. Thinking about how he found the terror-sending perpetrator so he could see Kalea eating like this for a long time to come.
