"Bye, Sierra!" kalea said as she waved to Sierra who was sitting in the car.

"Bye, brother!" Through the lowered windshield, Sierra lowered his head while waving with his spirit.

"Sierra, get in her head. I'm gonna drive the car now."

Kalea giggled amusedly as Sierra scowled at her father who interrupted her waving.

"Attent, Dad. Sierra still wants drugs to sister!" sierra protest that made the Taruna sigh. Kalea saw the man glancing at Gavin for a moment before giving Sierra a sign that the boy could wave his hand a little longer.

"Let's see you later, brother!" sierra said with great enthusiasm. The boy smiled broadly to reveal his neat rows of white teeth. The brownish strands of hair that flew over his face when the wind blew hard enough did not make the child's enthusiasm less.

"Yes, we'll see you later." Kalea smiled after saying that. A second later he felt Gavin's hand grab his hand, slapping his long fingers until they were now tightly knit together. Again Kalea found Taruna glancing at Gavin. Actually, the movements of the two people were indeed a bit strange since they first met at the supermarket earlier. But Kalea tried not to think too much about it.

"I'm saying goodbye, yeah. Thanks again for helping me take care of Sierra." Cadets Cadets.

"Yes." Yeah." Kalea is short. Then the windshield closed again and the car owned by Taruna drove, passed from before him and Gavin.

"Come on, Mama's gonna be waiting for us." Kalea was a bit unprepared when Gavin suddenly pulled his hand which was still in his grasp. Inevitably he also followed the steps of Gavin who was taken wide and impressed in a hurry, as if they were indeed in a race with time.

"Where are we going? Your bike will park there." asked Kalea confused because Gavin took him walking in the opposite direction to where the man parked his bike.

"It's hot, let's just get in the car." Gavin said lightly. Absolutely not care for Kalea who is now gawking and still can not catch Gavin's speech just now.

"Whose car do we want to ride in? What is your motor?"

"My car."

"Huh?"

"Lake in." Gavin said suddenly, pushing his head slowly to get into the car whose door had been opened.

Kalea, according to him, got into the car and immediately put on a seatbelt even though her facial expression still looked confused.

While Kalea had not yet managed to digest the situation, Gavin walked to the driver's side after stuffing a grocery bag into the back seat.

"Why is your car here? So, what's your bike? Do you want to be left out?" Kalea nyerocos, made Gavin shake his head slowly.

"You're having a fussy ear, yeah." Ledeknya, make Kalea instantly clenched lips tightly.

Realizing that Kalea was suddenly silent, Gavin turned his head. And he almost spouted laughter when he found Kalea was looking at him sharply with lips that frowned.

"Kinkedoooooo." Gavin said, then he pinched Kalea's cheek with anxiety, making her pout even more.

"It hurts!" kalea protested while removing Gavin's hand from her cheek. Then he rubbed his hot cheeks, still with pouting lips.

Had Kalea known that it made Gavin even more anxious, she might have stopped acting this way.

For a moment, after her rubbing cheeks stopped, Kalea glanced at Gavin who was ready to start the car engine.

"Gavin's." Call slowly.

Gavin just cleared his throat, then the car started to drive, leaving the parking area.

"You know Sierra's father?" tanyakanya. There was a noticeable change in expression on Gavin's face. Even the smile that was originally on the lips of the man was slowly fading. Sometimes Kalea is slow and long in digesting the situation, but when it comes to catching the change in expression on the face of the interlocutor, Kalea is an expert.

"Know." Gavin said with a straight look at the street. "Me and my friend in college."

"Is your relationship not good?"

When Gavin turned his head, there was a shock that was trying to hide desperately.

"We're good." Gavin said then refocused on the streets. "Why do you think that?"

"You didn't look comfortable."

There was a heavy breath coming out from the side of Gavin's lips. Kalea caught it as a sign that her guess was not entirely wrong.

"I'm just surprised because I haven't seen him in a long time, and all of a sudden he has kids." Gavin. But that answer did not satisfy Kalea at all.

"Just because of that?"

"Kal," Gavin slammed the steering wheel abruptly which made Kalea's body slightly staggered. The man pulled his car over on the quiet street and Kalea could only keep quiet with questions that started to swarm her head.

Gavin took off the seatbelt wrapped around his body then moved closer towards him. The man looked at her closely, treating her to a pair of dark beads that now revealed foreign lightning that was too difficult to read. There is a mixture of anger, worry and some feelings that he cannot define.

"You.don't overthink too much." Kalea felt her hands clasped tightly. Not only grasped, Gavin also squeezed his hand slowly as if trying to quell his anxiety.

"Having a sensitive heart is good, can help you to be more sensitive to the circumstances around." Gavin's voice was soft, like the lullaby he listened to every night when his sleep disorder recurred.

"But, if you think a little, there you will be tired yourself." Gavin stopped squeezing his hand, this time swiping the back of his hand gently. "The speculations that are in your head will only make you tired. And I don't want that to happen. I want you to smile every day, because your smile is beautiful."

I don't know when was the last time Kalea heard someone sound this soft. Even when what Gavin told him was often heard from the lips of Mama and Karel, this man could still convey it in another way.

Kalea had no idea how long she had been silent, digesting what Gavin was saying as the man's big hand turned to his head, breaking his hair in a slow, affectionate gesture.

"Me and the Cadets are good. If it wasn't good, I wouldn't have told you that we knew." Gavin said then, switching to rubbing his cheeks slightly reddened by the hot sun that hit his skin before entering the car earlier.

"Tempo day also you overthinking because of foreign women who accidentally met us at the hotel. Just because I kept quiet after the meeting, you've been thinking all kinds of things about me." Kalea could hear there was disappointment implied in Gavin's voice. And I don't know why it made him feel guilty at once.

"If all your things are overthinking, I'm afraid you won't have enough reason to believe in me." Gavin said softly.

"No, Gavin. I'm just.just..."

"just anyone?"

"I'm just worried about you."

"Worry about what?"

Kalea shook her head. Because he did not know why he continued to worry about this man. It was as if this man had kept so many hidden wounds behind his dark bead and made Kalea continue to feel uneasy.

Gavin sighed. "I'm fine, there's nothing you need to worry about."

"As long as you're on my side, everything will be fine. So please, stay with me. You don't have to do anything, just here with me. Can you?"

As if it had been set automatically, Kalea nodded her head. Then in an instant his body had been in Gavin's warm embrace. The man did not hug her tightly enough, but the hug Gavin gave off felt comfortable, enough to make his unrest slowly evaporate.
