The Gateway to a New Problem

For some time, Gavin and Irina looked at each other. While the sound of the door access code had stopped and Gavin was sure someone had made it into Irina's apartment unit.

Gavin began to put on a cautious attitude. Worried that someone who had just entered Irina's apartment was someone they were talking about. Someone who is trying to meddle into their plans and intends to screw things up.

However, Gavin's vigilance slowly evaporated as Irina's voice airs.

"It must be a cadet." Irina said after their eye contact was cut off when she first drew her eyes. He then pulled away from Gavin's lap, tucking his strands of hair that had been left untouched behind his ears before walking towards the bedroom door.

Gavin frowned as the name Taruna was called. Since when was the Taruna given access to Irina's apartment? In what order? Why do you need to know the access code in Irina apartment unit? Is there an emergency that requires Taruna to enter here quickly? What circumstances? Why wasn't Gavin told?

There were a lot of questions in Gavin's head at the moment, but Gavin decided not to ask that and chose to follow Irina who had already walked out of the room.

When Gavin and Irina got to the parlor, Taruna was already standing there, carrying a fast food bag in one hand and one hand holding a cell phone. The young man in a denim jacket looked a little surprised when he found out Gavin's whereabouts.

"Oh, I think you're back." Taruna. I honestly didn't think Gavin was still here. He thought Gavin was back at his house.

"Gue will wait for you to leave, I'll be back." Gavin answered.

Mangosteen cadets. The phone that had caught his attention was put in his pants pocket. Then Taruna glanced at Irina, silent for a while before saying "Gue bawain lo food. Eat first, just leaving." He held out a bag of fast food to the woman.

But instead of accepting it, Irina actually let the bag of food hang in the air. The midshipman raised his eyebrows, wondering why this woman before him did not accept his gift. Though Taruna was sure that Irina had not put anything into her stomach. During her time as Irina's manager, Taruna had memorized the habit of the woman who was often lazy to eat if not really forced. He even often took Irina to the hospital because the woman's stomach was problematic.

"We're going straight away." Said Irina, as if answering a question that had not been able to throw Taruna. At a glance, Irina glanced at Gavin then looked back at Taruna. "Pity Gavin, he has to rush home so his wife doesn't want to." Irina puts more emphasis on the word wife. Making Gavin who was standing next to him grimace with a chest that felt tight.

The cadet paused for a moment before rounding her mouth while nodding her head. He pulled back the bag of food that was thrust at Irina, keeping it next to the body. "Jude, come on." Said.

"I walk first, yeah." Pamit Irina while looking at Gavin. "Let's continue with the chat after I finish work." Irina. Before walking towards the door, Irina took the time to land a kiss on Gavin's lips. Not at all embarrassed even though there are Taruna there. After all, it was just a kiss and this was also not the first time Taruna had witnessed how she and Gavin were making out. Irina was sure the man was immune.

"I told you I'd be done." Gavin. Landed another kiss on Irina's lips before she pulled away.

Irina nodded her head, trying to shake a thin smile even though in her heart there were still many things that stuck.

Gavin watched as the slender body slowly moved away from view until it finally disappeared behind the door.

While Taruna was still standing on the spot, watching how Irina and Gavin's facial expressions were different from usual. From there, Taruna knew something was wrong between her two friends. Ever since Gavin suddenly hung up last night, Taruna has also been suspicious. It occurred to him not to tell Gavin Irina's schedule today. But then again, Taruna knew he had no right to it.

"Gue tipped Irina." Said Gavin while looking at the clingy cadets.

"Safe." The cadets answered quickly. Then, he slapped a pat on Gavin's shoulder and walked up to Irina.

After the death of Taruna, Gavin never left his place. There were so many things that disturbed his mind. Those things felt so tangled that it was difficult for him to describe them one by one. Gavin thought that the problem he was going to face was only to convince Irina that he was going nowhere and to keep Kalea from ever knowing her secret. But apparently, there are unexpected variables that constantly pop up to make it a headache.

Bursting through his complicated thoughts, Gavin withdrew. At first, he wanted to go back to the room. He wanted to stay a little longer in Irina's room so that he could sip the scent of roses left on the bed a little more because he realized he would not be able to come here often later. However, his intention was completely wiped out as the phone in his pants pocket shook and when checked, Kalea's name appeared there.

As it has been set automatically, when the name Kalea appears, then all the things that originally disturbed his mind immediately will also disappear. Vaporized like it never existed. With a quick movement, Gavin swiped the green log and stuck the phone to his ear.

"Gavin, you're still a long time?" kalea's voice wafting. Gavin felt something strange about the woman's voice. Sounded soft and slightly shaking.

"Why, Kal? You need anything?" gavin asked, trying to hide the worries that were starting to fill his mind.

"My stomach hurts. Can you, I ask you to buy pain medication at the pharmacy if you go home later?"

"Sure. You wait, yeah. I'm home now." After saying that, his phone was switched off. Gavin did not give Kalea the chance to speak again because he did not want her to get more pain.

Gavin's mind was now beginning to fill with Kalea. He became unfocused and too consumed by his worry to unconsciously walk out through the door of Irina's unit. In fact, he never did. He tried to hide himself so as not to be caught in the eyes of anyone in and out of the unit owned by his lover. And today, because of Kalea, Gavin has unknowingly dragged himself into the abyss of more complicated problems.

For without Gavin realizing it, a mysterious man standing behind the turn of the hallway had been waiting for this moment for a long time. The man smiled in satisfaction, pulled out a professional camera and shot a flash shot of Gavin exiting the door of Irina's apartment unit.

After taking the picture, the man pulled out his phone from his jacket pocket and called someone.

"Getting evidence of Gavin getting out of Irina's apartment unit, done."
