Morning Sickness

The next morning, Kalea woke up early. Not because the drowsiness has disappeared, but because the nausea is very strongly attacked again.

Kaela ran to the bathroom, almost toppled over by tripping her own leg, but finally she managed to get in front of the closet in time. Since he had just leaned his body into the closet, he regurgitated his entrails.

Because last night his stomach was drained clean, what came out of his mouth now is just a liquid that ended up making the base of his tongue taste bitter.

After being certain that nothing else could come out of her mouth, Kalea moved away from the closet.

He was sitting limp on the bathroom floor (which was fortunately dry), leaning his back and head against the wall. His eyes closed, his breathing was short and his heart rate increased significantly. His body was also sweating very much, even though he did not feel sultry at all.

Moments later, as her breathing and heartbeat began to normalize, Kalea opened her eyes as she felt a touch on her forehead. There was Gavin there, crouching in front of him while looking at him worriedly.

"I think we should go to the hospital, Kal. You're pale, I'm worried." Gavin wiped the sweat that soaked Kalea's face with his hands. Occasionally rub the cheeks of the woman who has lost her tone.

For a moment, Kalea was lulled into the touch and attention Gavin gave her. But as she recalled that their relationship was not that good, Kalea brushed Gavin's hand off her face.

Then with great difficulty, he tried to get up with his own efforts while holding the wall behind him. She staggers and nearly falls, and Gavin is ready to catch her body, but insists on trying to stand up without Gavin's help.

"Aren't you working?" kalea asked after successfully re-enforcing her body. His gaze was still as flat as yesterday, as if there, there was no longer any feeling left for the man standing before him now.

"No. I want to take another week off." Gavin explained, with a gaze that could not be separated from the bead boba Kalea.

"Don't take time off" he said.

"You have to take responsibility for your work. Don't be a bad example to the people you lead." Kalea had no idea how a company worked because she had never been interested in such things. But he always believed that a company could run well if its leader was able to manage himself and the people under him.

"I can do company business at any time, Kal. But I only have a week to be with you. You think I'm gonna give up that precious week just to take care of a company that never belonged to me in the first place?" Gavin said so with a painful heart.

Then, he shook his head slowly. "No, Kal. Even if I had to give up my life in exchange for a week with you, I would gladly do so."

With just those words, Kalea managed to be made speechless. Not knowing the reason, he was also hurt when Gavin mentioned that he had never been entitled to the company he now helped manage. It was as if he could share how miserable Gavin had been all along, when he was forced to endure a place where the people inside were unwilling to accept his presence.

Suddenly, Kalea felt her chest tight. There is sadness that is too difficult to explain. So, Kalea chose to leave Gavin before her tears came out without her will.

...****************...

In the middle of the day, Kalea cravings to watch a netflix series that she had actually seen. This is a bit strange, because usually he never watched the same series twice, because he thinks his feelings will no longer be felt.

Kalea focused on looking at the big television screen in the room, sitting on a herd on a mattress while looking at apples. Yes, he still could not put any other food in his mouth other than apples. Because every time he tried to spoon the rice into his mouth, he would again feel nauseous.

Since this morning, he has been back and forth to the bathroom several times to vomit his stomach contents (which even though it contains nothing but liquid from the water he drinks). It was only after the day before noon that his condition improved and Gavin took the initiative to give him an apple so that his stomach would not be completely empty. And, well, it turns out that his stomach does not reject the presence of apples.

Kalea was still enjoying the story while chewing an apple, until suddenly the series she watched arrived at a sad scene, which immediately made her stunned. Kalea was crying, sobbing just because a scene that was not really sad.

The Kalea reaction made Gavin who sat on the mattress and accompanied him to watch without a sound it moved quickly. The man looked panicked as he sat himself on the edge of the bed.

"Hey, hey, it's okay, it's just acting." He said, trying to calm Kalea while gently rubbing her shoulder.

However, instead of subsiding, Kalea's crying even more so. His stuffing was more soft and painful, making Gavin grimace because he seemed to be able to feel what Kalea was feeling right now.

Not knowing what else to do to calm Kalea down and she remembered that she liked to be hugged when she was sad, Gavin was silent for a moment, considering whether he should hug his wife or not.

Then, as his head was dead, Gavin moved closer to Kalea, then whispered softly in her ear.

"May I hug? You usually like to be hugged when you're sad,"

Kalea, with her sobbing growing, nodded her head. So without waiting for long, Gavin pulled Kalea's body into his arms, rubbing her back for comfort.

"That's okay, Boo. Its okay."

Hearing Boo's call on the air, Kalea increasingly felt her chest tight. Suddenly he was afraid. What if his life would deteriorate if he really let go of Gavin after one week? What if he would not be able to get used to it without the presence of this man? Without his embrace, without the soothing words that are always echoed whenever fret comes to him?

Perhaps because the thought came over and over, and as if non-stop, Kalea became compelled to tighten her arms around Gavin's waist. Dunking his face in the chest of Gavin's field as his nose sniffed deeply into the scent of the man's body, which he would surely miss later.
