After touring for almost an hour, Gavin finally found a grilled corn trader, slipping among several other food merchants. It is located around his office building. Gavin didn't know there was such a place to hang out, because during the day, it was just an empty field.
Gavin stopped the bike, told Kalea to go down carefully and then parked the bike in the place that had been provided. After which, he walked over to the grilled corncob cart that was billowing thick smoke.
"You want one, yeah, Bang. Sweet spicy." Gavin ordered immediately.
The seller, who was a man around his thirties, nodded, starting to peel one corn and then smear the butter and sweet spicy seasoning before roasting it over the coals.
While waiting for the message corn to be made, Gavin walked back to the place where his motorcycle was parked. Because that's where Kalea was waiting for him.
"Patience, yes." Gavin said after arriving in front of Kalea.
The woman did not answer. Just a glance at it then again busy looking at some young men who hang out near them with tarpaulins in dark blue.
Gavin followed Kalea's line of sight. Then his smile spread unavoidably. The scene before them was nothing special. Just a group of young people who spend the night in a simple hangout, make friends with coffee and various snacks that the price is clearly not how much when compared to the food provided in the coffee shop today.
In this simplicity, Gavin found much happiness emanating from their eyes. Something that Gavin had long since missed, and had to die half as he fought for. Although the reality is now he must again swallow disappointment because the happiness he hoped might never be granted. For Kalea, who was the only reason to survive, has now flown the white flag of surrender.
Nothing is certain about her marriage to Kalea. There were still six days left, and within those six days, there were still many possibilities.
It's just that, more than the possibility that he could re-refer to Kalea, Gavin actually felt the possibility that their relationship would worsen even greater and more frightening.
"Capek, right? Want to sit there?" bargain Gavin, while pointing at a tarp that still has no inhabitants.
Kalea turned a glance, again without saying anything directly walking towards the tarp and sitting on it.
Gavin didn't protest, he knew he had no right. So he immediately caught up with Kalea and sat down next to her, leaving a little distance because he clearly knew that Kalea still did not want to be close to him.
A few minutes into silence, the corn that Gavin ordered finally arrived. Gavin grabbed the corn that was thrust by the seller then stretched out fifty thousand bills and asked the seller to keep the change.
The seller is obviously excited about getting more windfall when the night is late. Then, after the seller had passed, Gavin brought the corn to Kalea.
"Now" he said.
But instead of accepting the corn, Kalea pushed the corn towards Gavin.
"You eat" he said.
Gavin was confused again. In fact, Kalea looked so frustrated when she told him that she wanted grilled corn. Now, when the grilled corn was in sight, why did the woman ask herself to eat?
"I eat it?" Gavin asked to be sure, and Kalea immediately nodded.
"Why? Kan, you were the one who wanted to."
"No idea," Kalea replied casually, sniffing her shoulders as if that was not the case. "Suddenly lost the feeling of its owner. Now, you're the one who ate the corn." Further.
...Though confused, Gavin kept on complying. He brought the corn to the front of his mouth, then started taking small bites....
While occasionally glancing towards Kalea, Gavin continued to bite the grilled corn until now exhausted by a quarter.
It seemed, he was very happy when he saw Gavin chewing corn seeds solemnly. It was like there was a satisfaction of its own that was too difficult for him to explain. So happy, Kalea did not take her eyes off Gavin.
"Want to?" bargain Gavin. The corn in the hand was thrust towards Kalea, but the woman shook her head with a raised smile.
"Make you, end up."
"Should've run out?"
Kalea nodded steadily. "No need to waste food." He said it was as if he was the most food-respecting human being in the world. In fact, during this week, I don't know how much food Gavin made was wasted because he was reluctant to touch it.
Women are always right!
After putting in a decent effort, Gavin finally managed to clear the grilled corn without any leftover, only the bumps remained. His cheeks felt sore, because apparently chewing corn seeds requires a lot of energy.
"Udah finished," he said, showing the lump of corn to the face of Kalea.
Kalea. Surprisingly, the woman continued to smile. In fact, his smile seemed to be growing bigger.
"You don't want another snack? There's a burnt meatball in there, will you?" bargain Gavin. They have walked so far, it is strange that Kalea finally did not buy anything even though the woman who had been insistent on wanting to come out.
"No, I'm full to see you eat."
Whoa ... Kalea is really weird right now.
"Keep, what now? Want to go straight home?"
"Yes. Come on, go home." Kalea rose up with spirit. Walk up to Gavin motorbike while humming cheerfully. His steps looked very light, making Gavin unceasingly bewildered.
Gavin, silent for a while in his place, still did not understand why Kalea's attitude became so strange. Was this a form of revenge, before the woman finally kicked him away one week later?
"Gavin! Come on!" Kalea half shouted, jerking her legs like a five-year-old boy.
Gavin sighed, then got up and walked over to Kalea. She felt even more strange as Kalea complied as she helped put on the helmet. While leaving earlier, Kalea insisted on doing it herself.
"Ready?" gavin asked after crashing on the bike and Kalea followed shortly afterwards.
"Ready!" shout Kalea spirit.
Gavin was still confused, but he kept the bike on and immediately drove his big bike down the deserted night streets.
Gavin's confusion doesn't just stop there. As the motor drove faster, Gavin was jolted when Kalea suddenly wrapped her arms around her waist.
All of a sudden, Gavin was goosebumps. Kalea's attitude is too strange, to the point that she suspects that the one in the back seat of the motor is not Kalea, but a subtle creature that is disguised to resemble the woman.
