The Guardians

By nightfall, Kalea's body temperature rises again. The woman complained of headaches and pain in some parts of her body. He also felt a nausea that was quite disturbing, so that anything that entered into his stomach was forced to be removed again not long after.

Gavin and Karel carefully guarded Kalea, fulfilling everything the woman needed in turn. The parents, including Bi Imah, had already returned home before Maghrib. So now only Karel and Gavin are guarding Kalea.

"Can't sleep?" asked Gavin who had previously rubbed Kalea's forehead slowly to help the woman relieve the dizziness that felt.

Kalea shakes. Dizziness in his head was already not too pronounced after he took the medicine, but he still could not close his eyes even though he had tried.

"It's okay, don't be forced." Gavin flashed a smile with a faint nodding head. "So long ago I slept alone too." Continue while rubbing the tapered cheeks of Kalea.

"If I can't sleep until morning, what?" kalea asked in a very soft voice.

"It's okay, why?" Gavin asked back with one eyebrow raised up.

"If I don't sleep, you and Karel won't sleep either. That's why I'm sleeping, Gavin."

"Gue used to stay up." Sahut Karel who is now lying on the sofa, cool to play the game from his cellphone.

"You're ordinary, but Gavin ain't!" ketus Kalea who made Karel snort miserably.

Gavin. His inner.

"Now, don't fight." Lerai Gavin before the debate begins. "I'm okay, don't worry."

"But you haven't slept from yesterday." Whiney Kalea, as if she was the one who had not slept since yesterday.

Fed up of hearing Kalea's increasingly far-fetched ramblings, Karel logs out of the game being played and soon rises from the couch. With a jolting step, Karel walked towards the patient bed.

Up next to the patient's bed, Karel pulled Gavin's arm and dragged the man down and sat him on the sofa. The movement was too fast, until Gavin had no chance to protest.

Before Gavin's mouth opened, Karel immediately turned back and half ran towards Kalea and directly sat himself in the chair.

"Lo sleep, let me take care of this parrot." Karel said after his butt landed perfectly on the chair. He said that with a straight gaze fixed towards Kalea.

"I'm okay"

"Gue that's nothing!" Karel turning. Whether he got strength from nowhere, he glared at Gavin. "This parrot won't be on them if you don't sleep. Then the way, the three of us won't sleep until morning."

Gavin looked at Karel and Kalea in turn, then he exhaled out loud before laying his body on the sofa. The size of this sofa is large, so he does not need to bend his legs and make it uncomfortable.

"Brake." Karel's orders again.

Somehow, Gavin said. He immediately closed his eyes with both hands clinging to each other on his stomach.

For almost a minute after, Karel was still staring at Gavin, as if to make sure that the man was actually sleeping, not just pretending to make him stop nagging.

After seeing for herself how Gavin's breathing began to be regular (although she knew Gavin had not yet fully slept), Karel took a look from the man and turned to look at Kalea. Right now, the woman was also looking at him with a pair of boba eyes that had been slightly dimmed since yesterday.

"Lo also has to sleep" Karel said in a soft voice.

"Singing what?" ask Karel. At first he was going to restart the game that he had left, but soon he broke the intention and his cellphone he just threw on the nightstand. "Rowo's broom?" origin shear. In fact, he himself did not know if there was a song called cucak rowo.

"What country's national anthem?" asked Kalea innocently.

"Sweden." Answer the original Karel.

"Times?" Kalea is still innocent.

Karel nodded steadily while showing gesture to make Kalea believe that she was not misinforming.

However, Kalea instead gave him a hard enough jolt on the forehead.

"It hurts!" screech while rubbing his forehead that feels hot. "Again sick is also still a demen KDRT aja, wonder."

"Some of you are angry."

"Well, I know what, why did it work?" karel lips. Then, he confirmed his sitting position and started looking at Kalea seriously. "So, what song would you like to sing, Princess Kalea Dimitria?"

Kalea chuckled at the call finally coming out as well. It had been a long time since Karel had called her that.

"Lah crybaby! What song do you want to sing?!"

"That's a hell of a wonder." Kalea. A second later, his smile came back. "You're singing Lee Haechan's Good Person."

"okay." Karel replied without hesitation.

Instead of being pleased, Kalea instead raised her eyebrows and cast a judgmental gaze towards Karel.

"Why?" karel asked confusedly.

"Do you know what the song is?"

Feeling underrated, Karel clucked. "Don't doubt Karelino Gautama's ability." He said touching his left chest. "You know, I'm the best." And then, proud of yourself.

Kalea turned the eyeballs off guard, but still provided the ears when Karel began to cleared his throat as a hallmark of when the young man would start singing.

Then, as Karel's melodious voice began to flow throughout the originally silent room, Kalea pulled the edges of her lips up to form a beautiful smile.

Kalea stared in amazement at the figure of Karel who was still singing. Every now and then the young man touched his own chest while closing his eyes, looking so sedentary to every stanza that came out from the sides of his lips.

Karel has always been talented in the field of music. The young man has given birth to many works that are only heard to some people, including Kalea. Karel loves music like music is a part of himself. But because of one thing, Karel had given up on his dream to become a musician and even took the steering wheel to become the owner of the cafe today.

Recalling that, Kalea quietly grimaced. Though time had long passed, but Karel still could not make peace with the wounds he had. But Kalea couldn't help much either. Seeing Karel still want to sing and play some musical instruments that are already men are experts, has made Kalea relieved. For many years since that incident, Karel has pulled away from music and everything related to it.

As Kalea was immersed in the song that Karel was singing, Gavin, who had not yet slept, quietly pulled the corners of his lips up. More and more days, she increasingly realized that there were other feelings that were starting to grow for Karel. It may not be as great as a feeling of affection for a friend, but that feeling is capable enough to make Gavin confidently say that if one day he disappears, he will, Karel will be the first person he believes to replace himself on Kalea's side.
