Day One's

The sun slid in through the slightly open window, sending a warmth that touched the skin of Kalea's face, making the woman frown and begin to slowly open her eyes.

The first thing Kalea saw after her eyes opened was Gavin's beautiful face in front of her. The man's face looked calm and so innocent like a newborn. Very different from the serious facial features that Gavin used to appear everyday. Right now, in front of him, Gavin is involved like an innocent child so peacefully wading through his dreamland. Leaving behind all the worldly burdens and anxieties that have been haunting.

Kalea was silent for a while, enjoying the beautiful sculpture that God created in the form of a human child named Mahesa Gavin. Thick, well-printed eyebrows blend nicely with double eyelids that enclose a pair of heady dark beads. Natural looking lentic eye book. The sharp nose and thick red lips of the man were absolutely perfect. As if all the features on his face were indeed created by God to unite in one unity, creating a work that is so beautiful and charming.

"So cute, like a baby." Kalea muttered involuntarily. His hands stretched forward, touching Gavin's hair that dangled over his forehead and then removing the strands of hair to see Gavin's face more clearly.

The hand that was just touching Gavin's hair moved back down, touching Gavin's cheek and rubbing it slowly. Gentler. Only that one word could Kalea mutter in the heart as her palm that roams on Gavin's delicate cheek for the size of a man.

Then the hand kept moving, getting down until it finally touched Gavin's thick lips. I don't know where the courage came from when Kalea's thumb moved slowly rubbing the full lip. No miscellaneous thoughts flashed through Kalea's head when her thumb touched the chewy object. He just continues to feel amazed because again Gavin's lips feel smooth and look healthy for a man's size. And even though Gavin smokes, Kalea sees absolutely no black traces on this man's lips. Makes her wonder what kind of treatment the man had done to keep her lips healthy.

Satisfied exploring Gavin's lips, Kalea pulled her hand. At first he intended to get up from the bed and immediately wash his face in the bathroom. I don't know what time it is, but seeing the hot sun out there makes Kalea sure that it's time to wake up and start the activity.

But his intention was never accomplished as Gavin's large hand suddenly moved grabbing his waist, bringing his body closer towards this man who was still closing his eyes.

"Morning, Kalea."

Kalea flinched as Gavin suddenly spoke in a hoarse voice typical of people just waking up. The fine hairs around Kalea's neck were simultaneously standing up when she realized how close the distance between their faces was now.

Kalea was a bit unprepared as Gavin's eyes opened slowly, along with a rising smile adorning her handsome face. "Sleep you sound?" ask the man.

Kalea couldn't say anything. His heart that was originally beating peacefully suddenly fluttered. There was something tingling in his stomach, causing a tingling sensation that combined with foreign feelings that he had never felt before. Kalea knew the oxygen around her was so abundant, but strangely she was having trouble breathing now. Gavin's warm gasp that hit his face also made matters worse. Kalea feels her cheeks are hot and she hopes to have the ability to disappear from Gavin's sight as her smile widens.

"So cute." Damnit. Why did Gavin say it with such a facial expression? And again, what was with his voice that suddenly became deeper than usual? Arggghhh...Kalea feels crazy.

Kalea reflexes rewinded her face as Gavin suddenly moved forward. Though their faces were already this close, but why did Gavin seem to want to slash more distance between them?

The laughter that echoed throughout the room made Kalea stay in place with obvious confusion. Gavin slowly distanced himself even though his big hand still refused to leave Kalea's waist.

"You're funny, Kal." Gavin said on the sidelines of his laughter which still had not completely subsided.

"What's so funny?!" pissed Kalea. He rebelled, trying to break away from Gavin's arm. But his efforts ended in vain because the man actually pulled him back closer. This time, Kalea was made to shut up as Gavin held her so tightly, rubbing her head slowly while her ears were left listening to Gavin's regular heartbeat.

"Just a minute." Gavin. Kalea did not answer because she felt Gavin still wanted to continue. "Let me hug you like this."

Kalea felt Gavin's embrace tighten. It was as if they were being chased for time and Gavin did not want to waste a single second to release himself. It was as if his body was indeed created to fit inside Gavin's arms. As if they were destined to meet and travel through time together. As if, there would be nothing that could make this hug come off.

"I'm still sleepy." Suddenly Gavin. His voice was somewhat silent and Kalea was convinced that it was because the man's lips must have come into contact with the top of his head.

"Sleep again." Kalea Sahut. Unknowingly his arms were already coiled around Gavin's waist, returning the man's embrace.

"If you sleep with a hug like this, can you?" when asked like that, Gavin slightly distanced his face. Not too far away, only until he could see Kalea's face and their gazes met.

Instead of answering, Kalea pulled Gavin's body closer. He buried his face in the chest of Gavin's field as his hands hugged the man's waist tighter. The smell of fragrant clothes emanating from the T-shirt that Gavin was wearing. Kalea closed her eyes, savored the delicate scent and let it fill her chest cavity before she exhaled again then said, "May."

No more sounds could be heard other than the simple roar of their breath. The sun may be crawling up, but for two human children who are enjoying a tight hug from each other's arms, time no longer matters. Because inside their heads at this moment, the time they were living had stopped since their arms were clinging to each other. Soothes each anxiety without giving any explanation.

"Whenever you need it, just tell me." Kalea said after keeping her face away from Gavin's chest.

"*Need what?"

"This*S*." Kalea hugged Gavin again. This time it was tighter than the previous one. "I'll hug you this tight, whenever you need."

"I will." Gavin said while replying to Kalea's embrace was no less tight.

On the first day of opening her eyes in the same bed after her marriage, Gavin and Kalea decided to sleep a little longer. Due to the goods of the times, they will need extra energy to face the unexpected reality in the days ahead.
