My Husband's Secret

My Husband's Secret
146. Surprise plan

Everyone is enjoying their breakfast in peace. Suddenly the house bell rang. Ningrum opened the door of the house to see who was coming in the morning like this. It was not long before the housekeeper came in, along with a woman carrying a large bag.

"Sorry, Mum, Mister. This is my sister's name is Aminah" Ningrum told her employer.

Of course it made everyone, who was in the dining room, turn to look at Ningrum and her brother. Maysa watched the woman carefully. Not too old, his body also seemed to be strong. He hoped that Aminah would also be able to take care of her mother.

"Mbak Ningrum just take her brother to the living room, yeah! We'll talk there" Maysa said.

"Yes, Mom. Sorry before, it's been interrupting my breakfast time." Ningrum lowered his head because he felt bad.

"It's okay."

Ningrum took her sister to the living room. Aminah continued to look around this house.

"Ning, who were the two old ladies? Is he also the resident of this house?” aminah asked quietly as if whispering.

“Iya, the one Bu Mirna. He is the owner of this House, if the man was his son, his name is Tama. The one who spoke to me earlier, it was Ms. Maysa, she was Mr. Tama's wife. The other woman, that's Bu Mahesa's mother, her name is Bu Rafiqah. That two kids were their kids."

Aminah nodded her head. He feels awkward with them. Seeing this house that was so big, the woman was scared. What if making a mistake, would definitely pay such a huge fine.

Not to mention the furniture is so expensive, Aminah can not imagine later work here. He wanted to refuse this job. However, at home his family needed money for the future of his children as well. The woman could not possibly bury her son's ideals.

After finishing her morning breakfast, Tama went to the office. Before that, she also had to drop off the children first, while Maysa and the two mamas went to the living room to meet Aminah.

"Whose name are you?" ask Maysa.

“My name is Aminah, Mom."

"Before Bik Aminah worked anywhere and what did Bibi do? I call Auntie, huh?"

Aminah nodded respectfully. "Yes, Mom. I used to work as a domestic assistant in my city. I never went out of town. I also do homework, such as cleaning the house and cooking."

Maysa also nodded her head, in fact she was worried that Aminah was not a good person, but hopefully with her plan can make the woman know what happened. "Did Ms Ningrum tell Bibi what to do and where to work?"

"Already, Mom. I'll work at Mom's parents' house."

"It's good to know. You need to know, My Mother's House is not as big as my in-laws' house. Surely everything is simple. I say this is nothing, I'm afraid that Aunt is not at home there because everything is limited.”

"Yes, Bik. In my house everything is as it is, it is not as big as here so, you should think first everything is fine before Aunt regrets,” interrupted Mama Rafiqah. He also doesn't feel good if there are people who are not comfortable living with him.

“Actually, Mom. To be honest, I'm not comfortable working in this house. The house is too big, I am afraid to make mistakes. If I make a mistake, I am afraid to pay a fine. I work to support my children, if I have to pay a fine too, I certainly can not, Mom,” said Aminah made Maysa gawk.

"We also won't be able to ask for a fine. Just ask Auntie's sister, did we work here, we ever act arbitrarily?"

"Sorry, Mom. I don't mean to offend. I'm just scared" interrupted Aminah who felt bad. He was afraid of offending his new employer. He had no intention of going there at all.

Actually Maysa was a little offended, but as much as possible she held back her emotions.

"Auntie is calm, both working here and at Mama Rafika's house, we all never ask for a fine so, Auntie can work quietly. For the next week, Auntie works here with Sister Ningrum. Mama also stayed here, later when it was time to go home, Bik Aminah came home too."

"Yes, Mom."

Maysa looked at Ningrum and said, "Mbak Ningrum, please take her brother to the room, yes!"

“Yes, Mom." Ningrum took her sister to the back of the house and showed her where the lady's room was. After that, Ningrum continued his work.

“May, why are you so hard to find an assistant for Mama? Mama can be alone," asked Mama Rafiqah who was uncomfortable, even though they had not returned home.

"Ma, we've agreed on that. I no longer want to argue about the same thing repeatedly," concluded Maysa who finally made Mama Rafiqah speechless.

The middle-aged woman was no longer able to resist her daughter's wishes. Maybe he will be asked to stay here. It is better to live in your own home with one stranger, than to have to live here with several strangers.

After taking care of everything, Maysa will go to the boutique because the boutique today has started to open. When she was leaving, she suddenly remembered that next week was the husband's birthday. The woman wanted to surprise Tama. Maysa also thought about the surprise that how to make the husband impressed.

Maysa had to order a cake for her husband. He also needed to talk about this to his in-laws and mother. Both are still at home. The woman is also looking for Mama Mirna and Mama Rafiqah, to discuss her birthday surprise plans.

The two middle-aged women also went along with Maysa's plan. They also do not know how to surprise. Especially Mama Mirna, she had never given a surprise so, now it's up to the daughter-in-law's plan.

"Are you preparing a gift for Tama, May? It's one more week, you know?" ask Mama Mirna.

"God willing, Ma. Precisely because I had something for Mas Tama, that's why I remembered her birthday. Understand, Ma. I also have a job so I like to forget family birthdays" Maysa replied with a scratch on the back of her head. The woman felt bad for her in-laws because she had forgotten family activities several times.

"It's okay, don't think too much. Sometimes, my mom forgets the same birthday. This is all if you do not know, Mama will also forget. That's why I don't have any gifts for Tama. Later mama search.”

“Mama also does not know what this love is. Nak Tama must have it all. Kadi from Mama must have no meaning for him," interrupted Mama Rafiqah who was also confused to give what to the in-laws.

"What's this mama talking about, anyway? Mas Tama where there is such. He always accepts whatever people give him. Precisely dis very happy because the person who gives it means attention to him. Very rarely is such a person."
