PS2. 4 - Cooking Cook

The next day, I felt something heavy on my stomach. I was surprised and woke up. There was a hand, I was about to get rid of it but suddenly I realized it was the hand of Gus Faiz, my husband. I breathed a sigh of relief.

I glanced at the wall clock. Show time at 04.00 WIB. Then, I turned, I found my husband's peaceful face there. I touched his face. It's totally real. I rubbed his cheeks, Gus Faiz's face was perfectly serene. It seems like his sleep is very good.

O God, thank you for making him my husband.–inku.

Recalling the dawn of a little while, I felt like I had to wake my husband up, but I didn't know how to wake him up.

“Mas?” my many.

Gus Faiz is not awake. I also rubbed his cheeks. But he did not wake up. I patted his arm. The look on Gus Faiz's face changed for a while but he was still asleep.

I also poked his stomach.

Gus Faizpun opened his eyes.

“Astaghfirullah al azim!” shaken surprised.

Surprised to find himself hugging me from the side, he quickly retreated.

BRUG!

Gus Faiz has fallen. I ran to him.

“Mas, is it okay?” manyworry.

I helped her up, she held her waist. He kept looking at me like he was thinking.

Instead of answering my question. He just chuckles. “I'm sorry, I forgot to have married.” he said.

I smiled, then nodded. “What still hurts?” my many.

“No, An. Me, it's fine. I shower first yes.” said Gus Faiz.

He approached me reflexively backwards. He chuckled, he rubbed my head, then went into the bathroom. I'm holding my chest. This Eid is real and shitty. I took a lot of breaths while fanning my face with my hands.

I made the bed, then prepared the prayer mat, cocoa clothes, sarongs, and peci on the bed. I also prepared clothes for myself. After Gus Faiz came out of the bathroom I also intended to go into the bathroom.

“An!” call Gus Faiz.

I'm turning.

“If you come out and do not find me, it means I have been to the Mosque yes.” said Gus Faiz.

I'm nodding.

When I finished praying, I went to the kitchen. I want to help Mama cook. Arriving in the kitchen I saw Mama and Sister Ulfa. I hugged my mom from behind.

“Already?” asked Mama to tease me.

“What's it?” my many.

Mama chuckles. Sister Ulfa just smiled obliquely.

“There can I help you, Ma, Brother?” I said.

I can't cook, but I want to help others cook. Unlike me, Ulfa is very good at cooking. From the story of Kak Ulfa, he was already a chef in one of the famous hotels. So, for cooking cooking and arranging food he is very reliable.

Not long after joining us. He smiled at me, that smile never changed. Still friendly and reassuring. I want to have a smile like Umi.

“Umi, hehe.” I said.

Umi did not have time to answer my greeting, Ulfa hurriedly asked for help.

“You can't cook, so you just cut this to make capcay, Nindy.” said Kak Ulfa.

Where that feeling came from, I felt that Brother Ulfa's words were stuck in my ears. But I hurriedly brushed off this prejudice. I can't be so prejudiced. Ulfa said the truth is that I can't cook, and maybe she needs me to chop a carrot.

I'm nodding. I'm honestly ashamed of Umi. I also took a carrot and cut it as I could.

“Duh, Nindy. Do not big cut it.” said Kak Ulfa.

“Oh, sorry, Brother.” I said.

“Let Umi help, Nak.” says Umi.

Umi. Mama and Sister Ulfa struggled with the stove.

“Try to follow Umi way yes, Son. These carrots are cut as needed. Because it wants to be used to make capcay, it is better like this cut it, cut thin.” said Umi.

I noticed how Umi cut carrots. “Good, Umi. Thank you, yes.” I said.

I also tried slicing carrots according to Umi's instructions. Finally, although not as perfect as the pieces of carrot Umi, I can spend the carrot. When I finished, Umi smiled at me. I am so ashamed of Umi. I really can't cook well. Even just to cut a carrot I don't know the trick.

After I finished cooking, I also helped arrange the food on the dining table.

“This is just there, Nin.” said Brother Ulfa.

“Good, Brother.” I said following Kak Ulfa's instructions.

“That spoon is directly lined next to the plate aja.” said Kak Ulfa.

I admire Brother Ulfa. It seemed like he understood everything about the arrangement of food. From cooking to styling, he looks very professional. I secretly compared myself to Sister Ulfa.

“It's wrong. Times like that don't know. Supposedly, spoon on the right and fork on the left.” said Kak Ulfa.

“Good, Brother.” I said. I replaced the fork with a spoon according to Ulfa's instructions.

“Wah, Ulfa is great huh. Is this all you're cooking, Ulfa?” ask Aunt Dinar.

Aunt Dinar is the mother of Zahra. The little boy I told you about. Adorable little boy. Zahra did not participate because she was doing exams at her school.

“Iya, auntie, hehehe.” says Kak Ulfa, shy.

“Bby aunt try?” ask Aunt Dinar.

“Please, Aunt. This.” said Brother Ulfa while holding out a small plate to Aunt Dinar.

I just watched, tidying up the dining table.

“Wah, very good. Why don't you marry Faiz? You seem to be much more mature. Hahaha.” says Aunt Dinar.

Hearing the words of Aunt Dinar made my heart throb a little. I am interested in heart. I know Aunt Dinar was just joking and maybe she wasn't looking at me. I just shut up. Not prolonging the problem.

“But Faiz only loves Anin, Aunt.” voice Gus Faiz.

I hurriedly searched for her whereabouts. When our eyes meet. He smiled at me. I smiled back at him.

“Duh, newlyweds, seriously so. Auntie's just kidding, isn't she Ulfa?” said Aunt Dinar.

I'm a little disappointed that Aunt Dinar didn't try to explain anything to me. But come to think of it, it seems like I'm the one who's wrong for getting too carried away.

“Sit, Mas.” I said. I was about to leave, but suddenly my hand was gently blocked.

“Sit.” says Gus Faiz.

I followed and sat down next to my husband. Dinner was also started. Gus Faiz was about to take the rice but I hurriedly prevented it.

“Let me just.” I said.

Gus Faiz smiled at me, I smiled back at him shyly.

“Duh, newlyweds.” Mama seduced us. My face turned red. I glanced at Gus Faiz. Gus Faiz only chuckled with a face that was also red.

Everyone laughed too. Laughing us. We were the temptation at the dinner table. Even so, the situation became very fluid. I'm really happy.

I stole a look at Gus Faiz. Every time I get caught I immediately circulate my gaze in the other direction. I can't explain how Gus Faiz's expression was because I didn't dare look at him.

I'm done eating. I also drink water with my right hand.

Suddenly someone grabbed my left hand.

“UHUK!” said chokes. Fortunately, it did not come out of the water.

“You all right?” ask Gus Faiz. “I'm sorry.” said.

Aaku smile, “Nothing.” I said.
