PS2. 54 - Back Together

After Arum's pastry, I put the cake in a jar and placed it on the middle room table. Then Arum and I waited for Linda and Farha to arrive in front of the house. No need to wait long, Aaron's car came. From the car came Linda, Farha, and Aaron.

"Aruuum!" linda and Farha. They immediately ran towards Arum and hugged Arum.

"God, Arum, I miss you" said Farha.

"Yes, Far. I miss you too" said Arum.

"I'm missing too." said Linda.

"Yes, Mother. I miss you too" said Arum.

Farha seemed to notice something. He turned to Aaron who was now standing watching the three of them. Farhapun approached Aaron.

"Far, I'll go to the office first. Later if you want to go home call me." said Aaron with a smile.

"Well, Mas" said Farha timidly. Then he kissed Aaron's hand.

I smile. It seems like Aaron has completely changed and kept his promise to try to love Farha wholeheartedly.

"Lho, don't you go in first, Ron?" my many.

"Your husband exists?" ask Aaron.

"Mas Faiz hasn't come home yet" I said honestly.

"I went straight to the office. Anyway I don't want to interrupt your reunion" Aaron said.

Suddenly, Aaron's eyes fell on Arum, who was right next to me. Arum immediately lowered. I felt bad for him instantly. I feel like I feel what he feels.

"How are you, Arum?" ask Aaron to Arum.

"B-well." replied Arum.

Aaron smiled briefly. "Lin, you go first. Nin, Far, Rum, first. Assalamualaikum." pamit Arum.

"Waalaikumsalam wa rahatulli wa barakatuh" answered me, Linda, Farha and Arum.

After Aaron's car sped away, the four of us went inside. Arum is back as cheerful as ever. Linda and Farha were unaware of Arum's facial features when she met Aaron earlier.

"Silver, Lin. Arum make a nice cookie, you know." I said.

"Me and Ms. Nindy are not just me" Arum said.

"Well, where?" ask Linda.

"I want to try" said Farha.

I took Linda and Farha to the living room with her TV, Arum followed behind with a laugh.

"Sit around!" I said to everyone.

They sit. I took the pastry I had put in the jar, opened the lid, and thrust it towards Linda and Farha. They took it and started eating it.

"God, it's delicious" said Farha.

"Yes, said Farha. Uh, I mean Sister Farha" Linda said.

"What did I say, Rum. I'm yummy." I said to Arum.

We also started chatting about cookies made by Arum. Arum gave us his pastry recipe. I who despite having helped Arum make the cake still listen to Arum's explanation with enthusiasm. Until finally the conversation about the cake ended, we deflected the conversation.

"Arum, why are you at Nindy's house?" ask Farha.

"I was looking for a job and my mom called me to come. Turns out my mother was Ma'am Nindy's housekeeper" Arum said.

I'm proud of Arum. Although her mother was a housekeeper, she did not look embarrassed when she told her story. I'm very proud of him because there are a lot of kids out there who are embarrassed when they're in Arum's state.

"Oh my God, why is the world so narrow, Rum?" farha.

"Yes, Ma'am" said Arum.

"Then what do you do?" ask Linda.

"No idea" said Arum innocently.

"Arum will work at Mas Faiz's company. But we don't know yet what Arum's exact job is." I said helping Arum answer.

"That means you stay here on, Rum?" ask Farha.

"Yes, Arum will stay here" I said.

"Asik, we can come here often huh, Mommy Far?" ask Linda.

"Oh so it is? If it was just me, you wouldn't play here often?" I said pretend to be upset.

"Yes, it is." Linda sneered.

The three of them laughed. I feel like there is something lacking between us. Drink up! I forgot to make us a drink. Linda and Farha must be very thirsty.

"So soon, I'll make you a drink first. I forgot." I said, chuckling.

Not yet had I stood up suddenly Bi Darsih came with 4 drinks for us.

"Thank you" said the four of us.

"Friends, this is my bio. Biyung they're Santi's friends. This is Ma'am Farha and this is Arum." I said.

Farha and Linda kissed Bu Darsih's hand in turn.

"I'm Linda, Tan." said Linda.

"Call Auntie, will you?" bi Darsih.

"Okay, Auntie" said Linda.

"I, Farha, Auntie" said Faha.

"Aunt Bi Darsih. MasyaAllah, your friends are all well, Nduk" said Bi Darsih.

"Yes, Biyung. Thank God" said Arum.

"Yeah, Auntie go back first huh?" bi Darsih.

We all nodded. Bi Darsih then left us, apparently to the kitchen.

"Have you eaten yet?" my many.

"Already, Ma'am. Before we came here we ate first" said Farha.

Shortly afterwards azan asar reverberated. We also immediately performed congregational prayers and then returned to the living room.

"Assalamualaikum.." Mas Faiz's voice.

I glanced at the clock, the new time showed at 16:00 WIB. I stood up and walked over to Mas Faiz.

"Waalaikumsalam wa rahatulli wa barakatuh." I returned the greeting. "Mas, are you home?" I asked, I immediately kissed my husband's hand.

"There's guests?" ask Mas Faiz.

"There's Farha, Linda, and Arum, Mas. It turns out that Bi Darsih's son Arum, Mas." I said.

Mas Faiz smiled.

"Come, we'll meet my friends." I said.

Mas Faiz nodded. Me and Mas Faiz came straight to my friends. My friends looked down to see us coming. I smiled as I scratched my head that was not itchy.

For two minutes we were silent. Faiz turned to look at me. I shrugged my shoulders. The mood is tense.

"Welcome" said Mas Faiz.

Linda, Farha, and Arum bowed. "Yes." Yeah."

Mas Faiz glanced at me again. I was confused to see my friends who were silent.

"So, you're Arum?" ask Mas Faiz to Arum.

"Yes, Gus. Uh, I mean sir, I'm Arum" said Arum.

"How are Aaron, Om, and Aunt?" mas Faiz asked Farha and Linda.

"Thank God be good, Gus." Linda and Farha answered together.

Mas Faiz nodded. "Alright, go ahead" Mas Faiz said again.

The three of them nodded.

"An, are you upstairs?" said Mas Faiz.

"Yes, Mommy." I said.

Mas Faizpun nodded. He rubbed my cheeks for a while and then left us. My cheeks are hot again. Mas Faiz rubbed my cheeks in front of my friends.

Then after Mas Faiz no longer seen my friends immediately tease me.

"Cie, cieee.." cried Arum.

The others laughed I could only smile in response to all of them.

We continued our reunion. I'm really happy today.
