Devotion of Love
The Cold Midnight

"Darling, you just got home!" Hafidz said, his voice echoing in the silence of the night.

Tap Tap Tap

The sound of footsteps strapping Hanna, like a symphony in the dark living room of her house. Hanna walked over to Hafidz who was deliberately waiting for her in the dark. Hanna walked towards the wall where the light switch was. Slowly Hanna pressed the button, as soon as the living room became brightly lit.

Hanna looked at meu towards Hafidz. I saw a couple of coffee cups on the table. Hanna guessed Hafidz had already finished all the coffee while waiting for her. Hanna grasped the unusual aura from Hafidz's gaze. Hanna slowly walked over to Hafidz. Hanna sat across from Hafidz. At first glance Hanna stared at the clock that was stuck to the wall. The night was getting late, the silence and silence felt gripping.

"Why sit in the dark?" Hanna said casually, Hafidz silently stared intently at Hanna.

Hafidz was silent with a gaze full of questions. The look on Hafidz's face clearly showed such great disappointment. Hafidz sighed, taking off the weight that was on his shoulders. Hanna was quietly waiting for an answer to the question. The real answer was not expected. A question Hanna never really wanted answers to.

"You obviously know the reason I'm sitting here. There's no need for me to answer a question you actually know the answer to!"

"What do you mean by Hafidz?" Sahut Hanna doesn't understand.

Hafidz sipped a cup of cold coffee. It was as cold as Hafidz's body waiting for Hanna since the afternoon. The cups of coffee he drank. Just accompany the boredom of Hafidz while waiting for Hanna. Two tired eyes, no longer able to be imprisoned. No sleepiness ambushed, all changed with anxiety and disappointment. A clock ticking in his ear. Hope in an endless wait.

"You don't understand or deny it. One thing was clear, cups of coffee in front of me. Proof of how long I've been waiting for your return. Dark in this room, there's no other way I'm denying time!"

"Why is my brother waiting for me? Didn't I ask you for permission. I'll be home late!" Sahut Hanna looking for an excuse. Hafidz shook his head in disbelief. Hanna's cold attitude, a gesture of no guilt in Hanna's heart.

"Should you come home this late? Not one night, two nights or three nights. Almost every night you come home in the middle of the night. No more time for me. Even just having breakfast together, you no longer have time!" Hafidz said coldly, Hanna looked at Hafidz. She had a faint smile on the corner of Hanna's lips.

"Snob't complaining!"

"Hanna, what I'm saying isn't a complaint? You should have realized, there's no more time we're together. You're getting further away, you're cold in our relationship. I'm a husband who deserves your time. Not to be outdone by a job that continues to take up your time!"

"Sister Hafidz, I'm your rightful wife. I understand in every step. It is not just my time that is yours. My body and soul are all yours. Maybe Brother Hafidz forgot, the promise I asked for long before we got married. The promise that now makes Hafidz's rights divided!" Hanna's cold.

"I promise to let you work, but that doesn't mean you spend all your time working. I need your presence, our son misses his father's hand. If it's not for me, do it all for the son in your womb!" Hafidz said in a slightly high tone.

"I've always been by your side, our son has never lost your figure. Although our togetherness never long, because our hearts are always together!"

"You're selfish Hanna!"

"It's not that I'm selfish, it's the circumstances that force me to be selfish and cold!"

"Enough Hanna, there's no point in me arguing with you. I will not win forever. Hanna is still Hanna, a rich princess who is selfish and feels right about her decision!" Hafidz was upset. His tone is getting higher, the frustration is clearly visible in the speech he said.

Hafidz stood away from Hanna. With a furious step, Hafidz passed Hanna. Instead Hanna looked down at the floor where she stood. Hafidz's attitude is not wrong, but Hafidz's words make Hanna realize. Hafidz's opinion of his true self.

"Wait for Brother Hafidz!" Hanna said loudly. Sontak Hafidz stopped his steps. Hanna stood up slowly, holding her enlarged belly.

Tap Tap Tap

"Sister Hafidz!" Sapa Hanna while pulling Hafidz's hand. Hafidz's sturdy back was clearly visible in Hanna's gaze.

Hanna clasped Hafidz's hand, sticking Hafidz's hand right in Hanna's belly. Hafidz turned his head as Hafidz felt a small kick from his son. The little touch of the son, shook Hafidz's empty heart. Hafidz's disbelief, made his tears drip. The son who is missed in every breath. Greeting full of warmth, removing the unstoppable longing.

"My son, he kicked me!"

"Sister Hafidz, your son is able to recognize his father's hand. So why can't Brother Hafidz ever realize his wish? We should have a bond of heart between us. Strong connecting path, so without a word. Brother can understand the hope that is in my deepest heart!"

"Hanna!"

"Sister Hafidz, I'm not a robot without a heart. If Brother Hafidz is bored long waiting for me. Never did Brother Hafidz think I was tired of all this. When Brother Hafidz expects my presence, does not Hafidz realize the longing and the cry of my heart. The tears I keep as much as possible. All for the sake of your smile and Salma's mother. I'm not moving away for my selfishness. Except my proof of love is not selfish. I give your body and love fully to Mother Salma. A woman who deserves more of your warmth!"

"Darling!" Hafidz said, his hand trying to hold Hanna's cheek. Apologizing for his wrong accusation. However, Hanna brushed off Hafidz's hand.

"Sister Hafidz, I miss your warm embrace. Lean on the chest of your real field of hope. The fragrance of your breath, becomes a tranquilizer in my heart. But with love, I swallowed all that longing. I endured the passionate love in my heart and mind. All for the sake of Mother Hafidz, for the sake of the smile that began to fade on her beautiful face!"

"Darling!" Said Hafidz.

"Sister Hafidz, I never forbade you to stay in this house. Because the son's house is also his mother's house. But Hafidz must know, being under the same roof is not easy. So that no one feels defeated or relented. I choose to look at you from far away. Loving you in silence, longing for my tears!"

"All because of mother, you are bland in our marriage!" Hafidz said, Hanna shook her head weakly.

"Not for your mother's sake, but for yours. My love is so strong that I can't see you sharing it. I chose to stay away before I got hurt. Mother only has you, it's not worth me to take it!"

"You're not mine!"

"I'm yours, but I still have your son. I'm strong waiting for you, until you sincerely share your affection!"

"Dear, I'm sorry!"

"I'm the one who should be apologizing, because I can't be by your side. Mother's doubt scares me to approach you!" Hanna said, then away from Hafidz who was stunned by Hanna's words.

"I love you so much, love you so much my priest of the hereafter!" Inner Hanna was plaintive, at a glance Hanna wiped away the tears that were dripping from her two beautiful eyes.
