CHAPTER 246: HOPE

The noise broke the silent atmosphere along the corridor, in the Tampa-Miami hospital.

Richie's men got rid of the people who were blocking the road. Behind him are Richie and Johan who run together. Some nurses immediately stepped aside and hurriedly shifted the wheeled steinles rack to the edge, looking at the hordes of western race men.

Richie and Johan are agitated when they hear Lala start to react with the poison. And it started half an hour, after Lala was exposed to the poison.

The doctor said Lala took off the bathrobe and rolled around in pain on the floor like an animal, wriggling and scratching her neck and shoulders and saying she felt pain in her back.

The woman screamed hysterically showing symptoms of overheating, pain, and excessive sweating until soaked. The nurse handled it, the woman continued convulsing until later unconsciousness.

Richie consults a doctor to evacuate Lala to Charite Hospital in Berlin, Germany. However, doctors have not allowed it because of his unstable condition.

Doctors stated most likely the patient had been poisoned by antipsychotics or neuroleptics and that industrial chemicals such as 2-ethylhexyl diphenyl phosphate were found.

"Blood pressure also dropped low along with his heart rate. Over time, exposure to these chemicals also attacks the digestive system resulting in patients nausea and vomiting.

"Also regarding the respiratory muscles, the patient is deprived of oxygen, respiratory failure, extreme fatigue due to constant movement, absolutely no resting phase. This poison is indeed dangerous.”

"Patients continue to suffer from seizures, neuromuscular weakness, we work to minimize liver function failure and other damage.

"So much worse, it's just as difficult to clean, because the chemicals used can't be determined for sure. And we've sent samples to the lab for research.

"Because, these chemicals affect the brain. Those who were exposed also experienced convulsions and loss of consciousness.

"But if the patient has already got atropine, this will fight the nerve agent, although that may mean extending the coma. The poison will take longer to degrade in the liver.

After paying close attention to the doctor's explanation, Richie and Johan bowed and sat down limp. The bones felt like cotton, what was most avoided from the start was inevitable.

Without any warning, life feels thrown into chaos around the ICU, at least that's how Johan and Richie feel now, once in a while they look, once in a while they grunt and drift in the dark.

Richie's head was thrown backwards, hitting the wall, his eyes staring at the hospital paflon blankly and occasionally closed as his head spun around not believing any of this.

He had to go to Germany to leave his girlfriend, because he had to take care of his uncle Jin who was like his father. At once took Uncle Jin's ring before the Right Wing Army actually executed to Sergey's two sons.

Uncle Jin, already warning at the last meeting, whatever the situation, uncle asked him to protect Ars and Daniel from the defecting Right Wing Army attack.

Lapochka, Red ... Risaa ..don't do this, hang on, Lapochka. Risaa .. my dear, Lapochka .. You can, please Risaa, forgive me dear, I regret leaving you alone. Sorry ... Come back baby.((Richie)

It was hard to resist the vibrations in his head, his throat felt a large lump squeezing his larynx, so hot it reached the heart. If, if only he could go a little faster, maybe the person he loves the most would not be in pain.

Richie's heart felt so pained, why should Risaa, why. It was as if the bile from within her had burst, so bitter, so bitter as to see the woman she loved most lying weakly on a ventilator between the hoses. Richie's lips trembled, his nails pierced his thighs, wanting it to feel like he was killing Bella, if not Lala's request to save Bella.

"Oh Risaa!" Richie squeezed his forehead and closed eyes. The head feels like it's about to break.

Meanwhile, Johan who was sitting at the side, both hands grabbed his own hair as he bent down until his forehead approached the knees, staring fixedly at the parquet floor.

Johan blamed himself. Shouldn't have left Lala alone. This tragedy will not happen. The heart trembled, remembering how much water had been poured onto the woman's back for decontamination.

The ringing of the mobile phone voice was ignored by Johan, apparently the people in the corridor .. Nobody cared, including Richie's assistant, Damar, who also felt like he had failed in his mission.

**

Two days later Lala was taken off the plane on a closed-cart stretcher at Berlin's Charite hospital.

The woman was in a medically induced coma. Mentally Richie and Johan are swayed in despair.

In the uncertainty of not knowing whether Lala will survive, improve or worsen, if it has to face death and loss. Surprise, sadness, hope, all swirling in Richie's head day after day when Lala's condition has not changed.

Often, doctors do not know the results, so he has no choice but to live day by day, just focus on the moment.

Richie and Johan make a practical arrangement to visit the ICU every day. Every afternoon Richie comes to the hospital, replacing Johan who is on guard early in the afternoon. While Johan sleeps at night - Richie's men who live alone without his family, located not far from the hospital, limited to resting the brain hoses of Johan who is wrinkled.

Richie and Johan are one package and compact, when it comes to that one woman. Regardless their relationship begins with a very uneasy meeting.

Now is their time, because their entire existence is fully focused with great hopes for Lala's recovery in addition to continuing to look for the best doctors to make sure not to leave a defect in Lala's body, especially until severe damage.

German doctors said that even if Lala recovered, the lasting effects could not be ruled out.

Johan just came out of the ICU room, he kicked the wall many times, it's been three weeks, even the condition of the woman he loved the most up and down. Johan hit the wall with his short quick breath, he couldn't stand it anymore, his teeth grimacing and his nose pecuniary with eyes heating up his lips quivering.

Not knowing what will happen in the future. The constant ups and downs feel like an emotional 'roller coaster' - relief and hope when Lala shows signs of improvement or even stability, but fear, grief and anxiety as Lala embarks on a near-death crisis.

His lips twitched, blaming the God for swapping his position with Lala. Johan began to resist the sobbing of hitting the wall and the body twisted the belicates attached to another wall and fell down. The right knee bent into a strong clenched fist. It was as if his lungs were drowning in a pitch-black liquid, it was hard for him to catch his breath as all were engulfed in anger and regret.

"Lalaaaa!!!!!" yelled Johan without a sound, until the mouth was opened to the maximum eliminate the feeling of his tightness. The shoulders are shaken, itchy on the cheeks as the clear liquid tickles him with a salty taste.

Thinking of a future worrying about living without the Lala she loves or facing a crippled, brain damaged, or paralyzed Lala.

It all happened so quickly and unexpectedly, it felt unreal or unreal at that moment and sometimes even this was very unlikely in his mind.

Several times when Johan was angry while in the ward, and stopped feeling embarrassed for looking bad and crying in public and laughing alone. That doesn't matter. He felt scared.  Really scared that ...?

Sometimes Johan is mentally exhausted and feels numb ...

I will never lose hope. But I truly believe that if he were to die, he would die on the pitch. I mean he died twice in the field and they brought him back. The helicopter men, the medics, brought him back. He almost died there in the hospital but they brought him back. So if he's gonna die, I mean he's not a bloody cat, is he? He must have died in the field. ^^^

"He won't die. He would have died centuries ago if he had died

"I told you he wouldn't die."

Johan really felt a void that made his head would drift in a war of fear and anxiety.

I thought if he was going to die I would feel it and I never felt it, even when he was at his lowest point I never felt that he was going to die.
