Divorce

"You divorced?"

Darren's question jolted me. Then I looked up and glanced at the sheet quickly. Divorce deed, the first piece of writing that stole my attention.

"Thank God, it's not a pregnancy certificate," I thought.

"Yes, as you want." Amanda nodded. "Now, where's your promise? When did you marry me?" continued.

"Don't be crazy, Amanda! I'm married, and again it's a joke, not a promise. Last time we met, I explained everything. You agree, instead you say you will improve the relationship with the husband. Why are you bringing up that time now?" kak Darren said with high intonation.

Screaming at a glance his chest seemed to rise and fall, a breath of air sounded rough.

"But I take it seriously, Ren." Amanda got back her divorce certificate. "I used to agree for the reason you wanted to improve, not get married. You're just mine, I don't want anyone else in your life. If you want to get married, it has to be with me. I'm divorced, it's to help you improve morals."

"Your theory doesn't make sense, Amanda. I'm married, until whenever I won't be yours!" Darren's voice is rising.

"Ren__"

"We're together just looking for profit and pleasure. From the beginning, we promised it wouldn't involve taste. We can part at any time, with the consequences of losing profits. Kita__"

"But I never promised to stop teasing you after we split up" Amanda said.

"You___"

"You're just mine."

Once again Amanda cut off Darren's words. This time it was accompanied by a sharp look and a sly smile towards me. I don't know what he's thinking. I think his expression is similar to that of the antagonist who is devising an evil plan. Ahh, I hope not.

Amanda waltzed away leaving us. Then I threw my face away while folding my hands on my chest. Honestly my heart is uncomfortable. I need an explanation from Darren.

"Dear, sorry. Our meal was a little disturbed. I didn't know Amanda was gonna be here." Brother Darren spoke while grasping my shoulder.

"Son Darren ever promised you're the same?" ask me without looking.

"Sorry, Ma'am, Mas, this .. What message is it?"

The voice of the waiter interrupted our conversation. Then I looked up while carving a bland smile.

"I'm sorry, ma'am, we didn't get the message" I said quickly.

"Lho, how come it's not, honey?" ask Brother Darren.

I refused to answer, turning around and walking away. Brother Darren tried to hold me back, but eventually relented and followed my lead.

Shortly after, we arrived at the car. I went in and sat down at the wheel. Brother Darren caught up with me.

"Dear." Brother Darren clasped my hand. "Sorry, i___"

"Sister Darren has memories of what's here? Keep .... have you ever promised Amanda?" I quickly finished.

Although the meeting was very short, but a lot of Amanda's speech was very upset. After all, Darren's brother never told me details about Amanda. There's nothing wrong with asking a lot of questions about him.

"There are no memories, honey. Since college, this place has been my favorite. I used to come with friends often. Then after work, I once brought Amanda here, there was a project in this city. And the promise .. is not true. At that time we were just joking" said Darren.

I looked at him closely and saw a look of seriousness there. I hope the explanation is correct. Don't know how fragile this heart is, if what I'm receiving is a lie.

"How many times have you brought her here, how come Amanda remembers?"

"What's the joke like, why is she really divorced?" I still keep asking.

Brother Darren let out a long sigh, "shameful when told. But believe me, honey, it's a real joke. For a long time, she did not like her husband. So I'm sure the reason for the divorce wasn't just me."

I didn't answer because I could guess where it was going. The activity of 'it' sometimes paralyzes logic, provoking delusions without edges, which eventually come back to the same thing.

I don't blame Darren, because I did too. Touting will ignore God, for the love that rests on the eve of na*su.

"He loves you, brother, even repeatedly asserting that you are his." I looked down and spoke slowly.

"Dear." Brother Darren grabbed my chin and forced a look, until our eyes clashed again. "I don't love him. In my heart there is only your name. Let him say what, the important thing is that we remain firm in love. Trust each other and take care of each other. If so, what else to worry about? After all, there is a God who takes care of us. If he had bad intentions, God would not have kept quiet" he said.

"You're not hiding anything, are you, brother? You're being completely honest, aren't you?" my many.

Brother Darren smiled and cupped my cheeks, "for God's sake I'm honest, dear."

I said nothing, just a big smile. Then Brother Darren grabbed my nape and kissed my forehead long enough.

After that, Darren began to turn on the engine of the car. We decided to go home and eat at home.

"But .. there is one thing I still hide," said Kak Darren who then made me anxious again.

"A ... what?" I asked with a stitch.

"You sure you want to know?" Brother Darren raised both eyebrows.

"Sister, don't joke."

"This ... about Daniel. He ... still loves you," said Kak Darren accompanied by a fixed gaze.

"No way, that's not possible." I answered while shaking quickly.

"You know what he whispered yesterday. I still love him, please take care of him for me. I'm happy, if he's happy."

"Ti .. is impossible, brother. We, we've been separated for a long time," I said.

"I know, but he still loves you."

I looked down and just said sorry.

"There's no need to apologize, because I didn't bother about that either. I'm sure you won't come back to her" said Brother Darren, who then cooled my heart.

_____________

A month has passed since I visited the police station. Markus and Mayra are still being held there. The real mastermind has not yet been found. However, Daniel was not as ruined at that time. Her mother was discharged from the hospital and her condition was almost restored. I hope good things keep happening to him. Regarding the feelings he whispered to Brother Darren, I never asked, nor with the gifts he gave. I don't know what he meant, he gave me the Quran.

About Amanda, I don't know where the woman is. Since meeting at the bamboo shop, he never showed up again. He may have gone home and realized that his actions were wrong. Hope so.

My relationship with Darren, the more harmonious it is here. There is almost no difference between us, it is the sweet love that is increasingly felt. The day after tomorrow we were planning to go honeymoon. A little late, because after marriage Darren is quite busy. I had no problem either, for there was also a calamity that befell Daniel and Mayra.

This second, I was playing with Dara in the living room. Just both. Aunty was washing clothes in the back, Ms. Fatimah went to the store, and Kak Darren was still in the office.

When we were joking, suddenly the bell rang. I moved and opened the door wide. The adorable lady stood straight in front of me. He smiled widely, as if he did not want to know in my surprise.
