A Little About Reza

My feelings grew more turbulent as Ms. Fatimah repeated her question. I really don't know why this heart is reacting, and even now my face is heating up. This feeling was not much different when I first looked at Daniel's face. Wh why?

"Kirana."

"I, I still don't know, Mother. I'm confused as to what to answer." I rubbed my face with my palm. I guess sweat spots that wet the forehead and temples.

"Yes there is no need to rush, there is still plenty of time to think, Kirana.

It's just, there's something you should know. He must love you and accept your past. He won't disappoint or hurt you" Ms. Fatimah said.

I saw the look on his face was very serious, there was not the slightest trace of lies in it. Why can Fatimah be so sure?

"Mother," call me.

"Yes, Kirana."

"Why is Mother sure? Does your niece know who I am?" my question, curious.

"Mother is sure, because Mother knows him very well. Kirana, take good care of your heart and think carefully about what Mother asked just now. Mommy knows your feelings are still for Daniel, but you're sure to part ways. Learning to love in the bonds of marriage, it's not something that's difficult, Kirana. Stare at each other, touch each other, share their joys and sorrows. Mother is sure, the seeds of taste will grow in a short time," replied Ms. Fatimah, who slightly deviated from my question.

"I can't answer now, Mother. I ... I still need time to think," I said a little nervously.

Fatimah smiled as she nodded. Then he came back to embrace me tightly. We were silent until the asar chant reverberated. Then we went and went to the mosque together. There, I went back to complaining to the Divine. Begging for guidance on the choices I have to make after this.

A bright blue sky stretched out, decorated with mega-white that looked faintly. The elegance of the sun is clearly emblazoned in space, no one dares to cover its golden light. Beautiful, charming, colorful day painting. I'll take advantage of this sunny day to visit Mom's house.

I stood in front of the mirror, in the room. I looked at my neat reflection. I wrapped my body in a red robe. With a ribbon decoration on the waist, and a little lace on the chest, simple yet quite sweet. The robe I was wearing seemed to match the light brown veil that covered my hair.

"Sweet," I murmured, praising myself.

Shortly after, Auntie called me from outside the room. He told me that Mayra had come to pick me up.

I still feel uncomfortable, remembering Daniel's decision. That's why I took Mayra to visit Mom's house. I want to share a story with him.

I came out of the room holding Dara. Not to forget I grabbed a sling bag containing a wallet and a cell phone.

"Bi, I'm going to Mom's house first, yeah. I had the same permission, Mother," I said to Auntie.

"Yes, Ma'am, be careful, yes," replied Aunty. "Uhh beautiful boy wants to go for a walk. Be careful, kid, don't be naughty, don't cry. Say hello to Grandma." Aunty rubbed Dara's cheeks gently.

I smiled and then walked away after answering Auntie's words.

I went to the living room and found Mayra who was waiting for me there.

"Tante, May, not brother" I said.

"Nonsense, Ra, if aunty is old. I'm still cute" replied Mayra.

"As far as you go, May, it's important that you be cool." I rolled my eyes, and Mayra only responded with a laugh.

So we moved and stepped together. Then get in Mayra's car. We started gliding and splitting the streets of Malang City which was quite crowded.

About a half-hour drive away, Mayra stopped her car in front of the restaurant. We agreed to drink a little and buy food to take to Mom's house. Mayra chose a window seat, and I followed her. We talked while waiting for the order to arrive.

"May, Daniel came home yesterday" I said, starting a conversation.

"Continue?"

"He stays on his beliefs. We're totally separated, May." I answered with a long breath.

Mayra looked at me softly. Maybe he understands how I feel.

"Patience, Ra, maybe .. He's not your soul mate. Believe me, there must be another soul mate prepared for you." Mayra rubbed my arm while commenting on a smile.

"Amin, hopefully, May," I said.

"Actually, there's someone who misses you a lot, Ra. He called me over and over again, looking for information about you. She wants to meet and talk to you, Ra, one-on-one" Mayra said. His voice sounds real.

"Who?" ask her.

"Reza."

"I don't want to meet him. I'm disappointed, May. Please don't give her your address, or my cell phone number." I stared at Mayra intensely.

"There's so much you don't know, Ra. Reza is not who you think he is. At that time he was wrong, but ... there are a few things you missed," said Mayra.

"Little thing? What do you mean, May?" ask me quickly.

"Actual___"

Mayra stopped her sentence because the waiter came to deliver our order.

"May, what's wrong with Reza? What did I miss?" I repeated my question, for Mayra gulped down her drink.
