The clink of the spoon clashing with the plate, became the only sound heard in the dining room. Me, Mayra, and Daniel, were having lunch together. Either because of enjoying the food, or for other reasons, Daniel and Mayra did not open their voices at all. I kept quiet, I kept chewing my food while occasionally glancing at them.
Mayra looked calmer, unlike Daniel who was clearly nervous and misbehaved. Many times he looked at me, and always wavered when he knew I was glancing at him.
"Are you leaving immediately?" mayra asked, breaking the void.
"Yes" Daniel answered, briefly.
"Have you found the right place for Kirana?"
I saw Mayra staring at Daniel, but Daniel did not return his gaze at all.
"Oh," replied Daniel.
"Ra, send me your full address later, yes. Let me visit you too." Mayra said as she looked and looked at me.
"Yes." Yeah." I'm nodding.
I immediately devoured a mouthful of rice that was still left on the plate. Then I went and resigned to retreat, with the reason to change clothes so that Daniel did not wait too long. But before going to the room, I first stood behind the wall. I wish Mayra and Daniel would talk to each other, so that I would know what they were hiding behind me.
About two minutes waiting, I started hearing Daniel's voice. I sharpened my sense of hearing, I didn't want to miss a word.
"I don't know what you're saying to Kirana, but one thing you should know, Mayra. Don't ever interfere in my business, you know!"
I frowned, still lacking understanding of Daniel's intentions. From her words and tone, I began to doubt if they were in a relationship. But I'm still convinced that Mayra knows something about Daniel.
"How can I be silent and not interfere. You've ruined us, Daniel."
I opened my mouth wide, I was very surprised to hear Mayra's reply. Destroying what it looks like. Mayra called the word 'we', it meant me and him. Could Mayra be also___?
I rubbed my face violently, trying to control the emotions that were almost out of control. My eyes began to glaze over, too afraid to realize the fact that lovers and friends were betraying.
Even though my heart was hurting, I stood where I was. Waiting for what they talk about next. But until a few minutes passed, I did not hear their voices. I gave up and left my place. I went to my room and got ready to leave Mayra's house.
________
"Austenance!"
"Hmmm" I muttered without looking.
"You why the hell, how come from earlier diem continues? Are you still angry with me?" Daniel asked while clasping my fingers.
No anger, you are hiding something important from me. I've lost the future, just to keep up with your wishes. You think these feelings are just toys, Daniel. Fuck you! Men have no heart!
I wanted to throw that curse in front of his face. Unfortunately, my guts are too big to do it. As a result, the curse is just buried in the mind.
"Austenance!"
"No" I answered briefly.
"Freely I keep urging you, Niel, you won't want to confess. So I'm going to figure out for myself, what you're really hiding from me" my inner self.
"I'm sorry, yeah. Next time I promise, I won't let you down again."
I felt Daniel's touch rub the top of my head, but even so, I was reluctant to answer his words.
About ten minutes later, Daniel slowed down his car, and finally stopped right in front of a minimalist yellow-painted house. Next to it, there is a fairly large and luxurious boutique.
I frowned while looking at the boutique that stood firmly in front. I'll make sure I don't get it wrong. Three years ago, I went in there and bought a dress that still exists.
"We've arrived." Daniel's words broke my daydream. Forcing me to look up and look at him.
"Niel, why did you bring me here? You know whose place this is?" ask me quickly.
"Yes, I know." Daniel answered while commenting on a faint smile. I don't know what that smile means.
