Dila woke up in the afternoon, she turned on her phone then went straight to the bathroom cleaning herself while gathering her consciousness. He just remembered, he forgot to tell Marvin that he had gone home and fallen asleep.
"Ahhh..he must be worried" muttered Dila.
He came out of the bathroom and looked at his cell phone. No messages or missed calls.
"No call notifications. Does he know I'm home?" Dila spoke for herself.
He prepared and walked out of the apartment, his gaze focused on the door of Marvin's house. He approached and knocked.
"Marvin!" exclamation Dila.
There's no answer.
"You're home?" exclaim Dila again.
Still no answer. Dila remembers that tonight Marvin invited her to dinner with the family. Indisposed, she remembered Chloe's words in the hall.
"Is he affected by Chloe's words?" muttered Dila.
Dila begins to doubt her relationship with Marvin. But imagining how good Marvin was to her, as well as how he had always been with her, made her come back convinced.
"No, Marvin loves me. He must not be easily influenced" Dila convinced herself.
Dila came down and waited, though there was no message or call from Marvin. Talking to the security guards will keep him from waiting.
Before long, a car parked in front of the apartment. Then he sounded his horn. A man came down and came in and asked the officer.
"Do you know a girl named Dila?" ask the man.
Dila stared.
"Yes, it's me" exclaimed Dila.
The man looked at him from the tip of his hair to the tip of his foot and stared at his phone, matching the photo with the person before him.
"Can I help you?" ask Dila.
"Yes, I was ordered by Mr. Marvin to pick you up at the restaurant where the party was being held" the man said.
Dila was invited by him to the restaurant where the dinner would be held. When I agreed, he was happy that Marvin was giving him a surprise.
~So this is why he didn't call or text. You are always romantic~ heart said Dila happy.
He got into the car and smiled. The man looked at her from the rearview mirror. Dila watched the road and looked around. Their journey was smooth until they reached the restaurant.
Nobody picked him up, Marvin's invisible. Dila got out of the car and looked for Marvin.
"He's near the stage, miss!" said the man.
Dila nodded and smiled.
"Thank you" cried Dila.
His car passed, Dila walked towards the party and looked for the stage the man intended for. Walk among people he knows some and some don't. Some eyes stared strangely at him.
~Ok, maybe because I don't wear a fancy party dress~ said Dila's heart.
Then a master ceremony (MC) distracts him.
"Ok guys, it's time for couples to dance romantically. Applause to all of you!" exclaim that MC.
Looking at him, the MC was Gerald, his friend. He was shocked by Dila's arrival. His eyes rounded then turned to Marvin dancing with the other women there.
Dila followed the direction Gerald looked, his eyes round seeing Marvin dancing with Chloe. Dila was surprised, she controlled her breathing. Gerald went down and pulled Dila's hand. He took her to the side, away from the stage.
"What are you doing here?" ask Gerald.
Dila was still staring at Marvin, she turned her eyes to Gerald.
His hands clenched, his long nails piercing his palm. Gerald looked at him with pity.
"Whether you go, I think Marvin has changed his mind" Gerald suggested.
She's afraid Marvin sees her and changes the decision to get engaged to Chloe. They are afraid of being kicked out by the family if they keep Dila.
"Why? Is it because of the photos posted on our social media group?" ask Dila by looking at Gerald.
"Trust me, I really don't care about that. But you better go"
Gerald grabbed Dila's arm and pulled her. He wanted to take her out of the party. But Chloe's voice with a loudspeaker sounded and made their steps stop.
"Oh there's Dila joining this party right now" Chloe said.
Marvin who was standing staring at Chloe in front of the stage changed his expression hearing Dila's name. Gerald and Dila turned around and looked at him.
"We are saddened by your dark past. That's very bad" Chloe said.
Her pretty face looks so sad. But his angled smile implied his satisfaction saying just that. Dila sighed and averted his gaze at Marvin who turned around and looked at him.
Gerald took off his hand and moved away from Dila.
"Thank you for coming to our engagement. Enjoy the party" said Chloe.
~Tactualty?~ ask Dila's heart.
His eyes were still staring at Marvin. Chloe got off the stage and was about to prevent Marvin from approaching Dila and seemed to want to say something.
Dila turned around, she set her breath and closed her eyes for a moment. Then he turned around and walked quickly towards Marvin and Chloe.
Dila pulled Chloe by the shoulder and slapped her as she turned around.
"That's for a photo that's not me that you spread on social media groups" Dila said.
He pulls Chloe's body back and slaps her again.
"And this is for you who took Marvin from me"
Dila gasps, Chloe falls for Dila's hard slap. Everyone looked at Dila strangely. Many people feel that Dila is very brutal. Some put on a face laughing at Chloe whose cheeks were red.
Marvin was surprised to see Dila's temperament. He pulled Dila's hand that was about to leave from there.
"Now I have no regrets about leaving you" Marvin said.
Dila gaped in disbelief.
"You'd prefer a woman who bullies a rape victim over me?" said Dila.
He took Marvin's hand off his arm.
"I'm serious about you, but I have Dila's family, I can't force my love for my family's honor" Marvin said.
"Honor? Hahahaha, you say honor?" Crazy crazy.
Marvin looked at him strangely. Everyone noticed it too. Yudi who became the chef there also heard the commotion and interrupted people to see the commotion that occurred. After getting into the crowd, he saw Dila who stood up and spoke before Marvin.
"What if I tell you that he's not me?" ask Dila after she stopped laughing.
Marvin looked at him in wonder.
"Yes, what if I told you the woman in the photo wasn't me, the woman wasn't me Marvin, I wasn't her!" Dila showed how she explained to Marvin.
Marvin fell silent, he realized that he had not asked Dila directly.
"You never even tried to contact me, send a message to ask me" Dila complained.
Marvin lowered his head, Yudi bit his lip hearing Marvin's treatment of Dila.
