I'm Not a Wild Grass

I'm Not a Wild Grass
Six Years Later (POV Laila)

"March! Wait Mama!" I called my first son who had stepped out of the car first.

"Come fast, Ma! I can't wait to see the school!" Mark said with a perfect pronunciation.

I saw Nila, who was held by Mark beside her. My second daughter looked happy to smile at the Kindergarten building which will soon be her place to study.

Mark Ishtar and Lanila Ishtar, are the two great dedes that I had brought to my senses about six years ago, unaccompanied by my Erlan.

For a moment, something in my heart felt pinched. This was a common thing to happen whenever I remembered Erlan's figure.

Six years have passed. While a little part of my heart seemed to be left behind in the past. Joined with Erlan in the cemetery behind Mama Ilmaya's house. With Erlan's body, which may have now been turned into a skeleton.

But anyway it's the past. I've been through a lot over the last six years. And a lot of things that happened changed a few things in me.

I'm no longer the cheerful and joking Laila. I'm no longer the spoiled Laila.

Erlan's departure has actually made me aware of one fact about this life. Every one of us will eventually be buried alone.

I finally managed to forge myself to become more independent. I have my own business now. A boutique I released with the help of an old friend of mine Stephen.

This business has only started four years ago. When Mark and Nila were even two years old. Before-before-his I survived the profits earned from Erlan's shares in the company.

When Erlan is gone, Arline decides to fill the vacancy left by the deceased. Coincidentally he also has a basic business as well in addition to a forensic doctor degree which is his choice of heart.

Even so, Arline still set aside every percentage of the revenue share that Erlan was entitled to every month to my account. The amount is quite a lot, when compared to the frugal expenses arranged by Mama Mutia during my psychic recovery period.

When Mark and Nila were 2 years old it was I met Stephen, my old acquaintance at the supermarket first. He invited me to work together to open a boutique. With him as its CEO. While I was his investor.

Armed with trust and desperate to start independent, I finally followed Stephen's invitation. Finally, La Luna boutique was born. Boutique of the work of the two of us.

In the first two years of her boutique establishment, we still had to fix things. Whether it's the management part, and other related things.

It was only in the third year that La Luna boutique was finally able to line up among 15 famous boutiques in Indonesia. And now, I can support my little family only from my La Luna boutique profit. While the money that is always sent by Arline I always save and divide the two into the account Mark and also Nila.

Back to this moment. First day for Nila I went to school. Mark and Nila are actually only five minutes apart when both were born cessar 6 years ago.

I remember, when she was born, Nila had problems with her heart, so she had to incubate for a few days. Mark was born a very healthy baby.

Mark was born with a Bb of 3.0 kg. While Nila only reached 2.2 kg when she was born.

This condition according to Dr. Ira is common in the birth of twins of different sexes. Generally, male babies tend to be healthier than female babies. I don't know for what reason.

Clearly, during the early life of Nila in this world, she needed much more attention than medical devices. Even until he was five years old.

When I put Mark into Kindergarten school, Nila still had to check up often to the hospital because there was a problem with her heart again.

Mark is a quiet but very active boy. He always seems to be fiddling with something. Whether it's unloading pairs of lego toys, blocks, or also helping his uncle, Darman assemble motorcycles.

Almost every competition followed by Darman always managed to make him win the champion, either champion one or champion two.

And apparently, Mark also wanted to follow in the footsteps of his young uncle.

While Mark grew up healthy and active, Nila had a different fate.

At the time of Mark's Kindergarten school at the age of five, Nila had to be patient at home schooling. He also has a level of intelligence that is not as smart as Mark. Even so, there is one thing that is most charming in my little daughter. That is his ability to make all who know him instantly fall for him. Only with her very sweet smile.

Nila grows up to be a cheerful and cheerful daughter, although her body is often sickly. Often the babbling of Nila made us who heard her laugh in a joking laugh.

Nila is also a unifier in our big family in case of a dispute. And what makes me love my daughter the most is, Nila's fortitude when her illness returns.

"Mama, come! Nila look there's a pop-up there!" Speak Nila with slurred pronunciation.

"Yes! Wait, Honey!" Say it while closing the car door.

I fix a little bit of the top of my veil that feels slanted. Then I approached Mark and Nila who were standing near a slide.

"Then can I go up, Ma?" Pinta Nila with hopeful eyes.

I watched his tall toy slide no more than me. And I think Nila will be pretty safe playing there. Yet..

"When you go to the yuk class? Later the Teacher Nyariin Nila, how to try?"

"Gulu sir? Oh yea! Nila hasn't salimed the same old lady huh, Ma?"

Nila looked at me cheerfully. Her face is a copy of 80 percent of my face as a child. But for his personality, I see Erlan more often in Nila's attitude and personality.

"When you go to class now. Brother also wants to go to school now," Mark said beside Nila.

Now Nila faced her sister.

"Ka Mak, thank you for Nila's antelin. Ka Mak is also heart-hearted on the road" said Nila.

"Yes. Ma, Mark is going to school, yes" Mark said asking for permission.

Mark's school is one level higher than Nila's. He is now a grade 1 SD in the building which is located next to his Kindergarten Nila.

"Yes. Be careful, son.."

I take off Mark who is now stepping alone towards the SD building on the side. Even so, for a while the corner of my eye was still watching Mark who was starting to move away.

After a while, I drove Nila to her first class today.
