I'm Not a Wild Grass

I'm Not a Wild Grass
Night Market (POV Laila)

After parking the car, Erlan and I just walked straight to the booth in the night market.

Erlan said, the night market in the alley close to the intersection of the Roundabout is indeed very crowded. Yes crowded by visitors, even by traders who open their trading stalls on each side of the left and right streets.

In fact, the alley that was still enough to be passed by two cars, now so it can only be passed by one small car. Because of the existence of merchant stalls that almost filled along the edge of the road.

Erlan held my hand tightly.

"Let's not stray, Yang!" Her words are teasing me.

"You're the one who's afraid of straying! Dark-eyed because concerned about many young girls wandering in plain sight!" I'm back to his taunting.

"Geez, Yang. My eyes are full of concern for you, you, and you. I don't see any girls out here!" Sahut Erlan with a fairly moderate volume of sound.

Some of the visitors who were walking near us just turned their heads towards me and Erlan. Perhaps they could still hear Erlan's words earlier. So I immediately pulled Erlan to confirm our steps.

'really embarrassing!' curse me in my heart.

At the market tonight we enjoy a lot of market snacks. Such as kebabs, grilled sausages, siomay, skin satay, ice bread, and even bajigur. My stomach was already very full when Erlan again offered me to buy grilled corn.

"You're not full yet, too, Yang?" Ask me astonishment.

"not yet. It was just a blur, Yang. We have not tried Soto Lamongan in front of it. I think it's delicious" Erlan said, pointing to a small shop.

"Know where it's good?" Ask me a question.

"That's la? There are many buyers. It must be delicious!" Erlan answered with such confidence.

Even so, Erlan and I continued to set our feet near the diner that was almost filled with people who were eating it.

"Diddeliver! Could they also just try this once like us. Don't judge things based on what people say, yang. Judge it in our own opinion!" Replace me as a smart ass.

"Yes yes. Go inside yuk, Yang. My mouth is drooling!" Erlan said as she pulled me into the store.

I shook my head many times. I really didn't think I'd have a husband who turned out to be a foodie.

After filling my stomach, Erlan again invited me around the night market area. Turns out the market tonight coverage area is quite wide. Since we had been walking for half an hour, I could not find the end of this crowd.

From passing through an alley, we then covered also to a large field that was also crowded with visitors. In addition to food, in this field area there are also several old school rides.

Like a haunted house, the game catches fish with nets made of paper, and many more.

There was one game that attracted me the most to ride it. And that's a reanglala vehicle. Yet...

"You want to ride the ringleader, Yang?" Erlan asked suddenly.

"uh? Mm. not ah. We are old, Yang. Shame on!" I hurriedly pulled Erlan's hand away from the place. But Erlan instead held my hand and actually pulled her to the place to buy a ticket to the bianglala rides.

"No, don't be shy ah!"

"It's okay. Tuh, look! There are also the fathers who ride the reanglala," protest Erlan to a father who really wants to ride the carousel rides.

"But he was going up too because to accompany his young son, Yang!" My demonstration went back to the little boy who was led by the father earlier.

"Ah.same. Judekah. Suppose you are a child who was invited by his sister. I've been your good brother all day. Come on deck, let's go up!" Erlan exclaimed by pretending to be my sister.

"Hahaha.crazy you, ah! I don't want to be his little boy! It's like you're more like a boy, Yang!" I'm teasing Erlan.

"Oo.. That means you're my aunt? Lame..?"

"What is Tarang?" Ask me I don't understand.

"Tante girang!" Seloroh Erlan while laughing loosely.

"Haishhah! Fuck up! You are a coral!"

When he realized what the coral was, Erlan's face immediately frowned, like a bird on its knees. Replace me who is grinning wide now.

"Come on Coral.we are riding the bianglala deh yuk now!" Take me to Erlan.

I was ceaselessly smiling widely. While Erlan was still pouting because I was running the Coral. Grandpa Girang. Hihahi.

In the end we also climbed the vehicle of the bianglala.

When I was in one of the carriages in this room, my memory immediately drifted to my childhood.

I remember a long time ago, when my family was full of three with Papa, we often visited the night market. And the rides that we always ride together are the bianglala rides.

"Which?" I heard Erlan's voice calling me.

"You crying?" Ask her again.

I'm appalled. And immediately rubbed my cheeks that had indeed been wet for some time.

Erlan just pulled me right into his arms. Then rubbed my back over and over again.

"I'm fine. Sorry yeah. I was in my childhood first. While I was still living with my Mom and Dad. We often ride these three. And Papa always bought me cotton candy, too" I told the story.

"I used to love the same sweet stuff. And Papa also often brought chocolate, cake or candy after he came from his workplace every day. But. ever since the separation of Papa and Mama, don't know why I don't like eating sweet anymore. Make my stomach nauseous so her. Weird huh?"

Erlan did not answer. He still rubbed my back many times, slowly.

"Starting Junior High, I just like the same spicy ones. Siomay, cilok, fried, meatballs, everything made spicy yes I crave. Even though I rarely get to do it either. Because of the financial condition of Mama at that time it was difficult again yes." I continued to tell you.

"Hh. when I saw this ring, I don't know why I wanted to go up again. I thought I'd feel the same joy I used to feel when I was a kid. But.. turns out I even become sad gini yes..?"

After quite some time, Erlan finally said something.

"I thought, you might be sad because you wish you could ride it together with people who used to ride this with your little one, Yang. Deep down, you miss your Papa. You actually want to have a normal relationship again with your Papa and Mama. That's how I think it is," Erlan argued.

"Is that so?" Ask me a question.

"Lw.huh. Try it, when you meet Papa Ulum. Continue, you have a good conversation with Papa Ulum. From heart to heart. Like talking about girls, yang," Erlan suggested.

"What do you know, what kind of girl talk?" Ask me to tease Erlan.

"Yes so. Ngebombay is okay. The important thing is that you and Papa can be open and honest with each other. In my opinion, Yang, by forgiving your full Papa, you have also made a thorn of hate that has been damaging your heart will be lost," said Erlan.

"... Don't know what you said just now. Why are all your thorns talking about anyway? We're not playing in the shrub anymore!" My words are indifferent.

Erlan gave me a look of surrender.

"You are yes. iishhhkk.. I'm tired of being so smart, but the edges are even made up of the same amount of your lambe who likes to diggasal it! Which.. Which.."

"Ihihi. ya Indeed your language is njelimet really! If you speak the language of the earth, Yang! Don't speak the language of your home planet!" I rebuked and asked my husband to joke again.

"Tauk ah! Tuhs. It stopped. Comeondown! I've been able to catch your crazy you, later!" Erlan grumbled as she led my hand out of our firecracker.

"Bad grumpy! You're tuh-"

My speech just stopped as blindly I caught the image of a man I knew so well.

"Why are you, Yang?" Ask Erlan to me.

He then followed my line of sight and a moment later, I felt Erlan's fingers tightening on my wrists.

Erlan saw the man standing not far from where we were standing.
