3.47. PAPA'S WISH

"Can we meet Doctor Danu now, Mas?"

After fighting back her fears and calming her feelings, Yoga asks permission to go in and meet her confidant heart doctor.

Dani nodded and without wasting any time immediately stood up followed by Yoga and Nara, then stepped closer to Doctor Danu's room door and opened it wide.

"Pa, Yoga and his wife are here." While telling his father, Dani invited the couple to come in and approach Doctor Danu who was sitting on a wheelchair while staring out the window where there is a flower garden relics of his late wife.

Yoga and Nara greeted respectfully and greeted the heart doctor. After they are welcome, they then sit on the available sofa. Dani's wife came again with a drink and a small meal for her guests.

Assisted by his eldest son, Doctor Danu turns the wheelchair he sits in to face Yoga and Nara. After that, just as Dani told him, his father asked him and his wife to come out and leave him with only his two guests.

"How are you, Doc?" tanya Yoga started their conversation.

"I'm fine. It's just that this body is too fragile and tired to hold on and stay here," said the doctor with a calm attitude and a simple smile that adorns the wrinkled face that still shows the aura of good looks of his youth.

Yoga and Nara looked at each other. They chose silence and did not respond to the words.

"I'm calling you here because there's something important I want to say, about something about your papa, Ga."

Doctor Danu stared at Yoga with a sudden novelty that she felt in her heart, as she stared at the man's face. Yoga face is the best combination of the faces of both parents, Surya and Ratna.

"Surya, he is a good figure and will always leave a good impression in the eyes and in the hearts of everyone who knows him, including me."

Doctor Danu's view was glaring, imagining friends he knew when they were both wandering to the city where they studied and began their respective careers from below.

The friendship that continued unbroken until finally death separated them because the first death picked up Surya and Ratna his wife, who, in a plane crash on their way home from a business event outside the city.

"The thing that always sticks in my memory of him is his generosity. He cares deeply about his fellow men and the disadvantaged around him. He always shares and continues to give many good and useful things to anyone who needs his help."

The old doctor's face was constantly adorned with a smile as the radiance of happiness that seemed from a pair of neutrals that were still sharp eyesight.

"On one occasion, Surya once told me about many dreams in his life. One is to see you marry the woman of your choice and be happy with your children who will make themselves called grandfathers by them."

Instantly Nara turned her head to the side and looked at Yoga whose face had turned cloudy. She knew what her husband was feeling in his heart. The more tightly grasped the man's hand, he tried to give a lot of strength to him.

"You are a great and wonderful man, Mas. My mom and dad are so proud of you. Just like me and our kids."

Nara gave her spirit with the best smile, while one hand washed away the tears that wet her two cheeks.

Yoga tried to return that smile and nodded. Ingestion of long breath to reduce tightness that had mastered his feelings.

From where he sat, Doctor Danu also smiled witnessing the affection between Yoga and his wife. Slightly coughed at the sudden claustrophobic, he tried to keep smiling in order to hide his pain from the two special guests.

"Surya and Ratna must be happy and calm because their hopes have been realized. Right now I'm witnessing for myself how happy you are."

Yoga looked back at the doctor who was considered like his parents. His gaze caught a different thing on Doctor Danu's face. It was getting pale even though it still looked like his smile.

"Doctor, do I need to call Mas Dani?" panicked the man with a very worried face. The shadow of bad things came back to haunt his mind.

Doctor Danu shook his head with one hand to signal that Yoga does not need to call Dani or the other.

"Please get my medicine on the table there." He pointed towards the small table beside the bed.

"Thank you" said Doctor Danu as she painstakingly handed over water and medicine to him. The woman remained standing waiting for him to finish and received back the glass that had been empty from him.

Yoga watched the wife from her seat and waited for Nara to return to her side after returning the glass to its original place.

How can I not fall more and more in love with you from time to time, if you alone are always this good and attentive to everyone. I'm proud to have, honey.

Grasping hands like before, they waited for Doctor Danu to improve and continue his story.

"Then, Surya also told me that he had a hidden desire, which he had never told you." Yoga regained its composure when the doctor alluded to the story of his parents.

"At that time, you hadn't even finished college yet, so he kept his wish just inside his heart. Surya shared it with me when he found out that Dani was following in my professional footsteps"

Yoga began to wonder in his heart about what wishes his father had not yet known, let alone realized.

"Surya has a wish that one of his grandchildren will become a heart specialist like me."

Yoga and Nara looked at each other. Surprised at not expecting such hope from their parents, they had never thought of it at all. Both that was for Raga and Gana who had just been born.

"Losing one of his twin sons to heart disease makes your father want to realize that desire. And I hope, even though they're gone, you can still make it a reality, so that your papa and your mama will be calmer there."

Doctor Danu started coughing. To reduce the tightness that increasingly complicates his breathing, immediately reuse the oxygen hose in the nose, which is connected to a small medical regulator that is always taken with him.

Without asking permission, Yoga immediately went out to call the family. The next few seconds, the man had entered again with Dani who was waiting not far from the room.

After examining his father and feeling his condition was very worrisome, the heart doctor of his parents' successor asked Yoga and Nara to wait outside, while he would handle Doctor Danu.

Waiting with a thumping heart and full of fear, the father of two sons was kept calm by Nara who faithfully gave him wholehearted strength.

"I'm so scared, honey. I'm afraid he ...." Yoga cannot continue his words. Nara immediately hugged her husband and let the man calm down by returning his embrace with a hug that was no less tight and without any barriers.

Thirty minutes later, Dani finally came out with his wife who had previously accompanied him in the room.

Yoga let go of her embrace and with Nara looked straight at Dani full of curiosity.

"Mas, how's Doctor Danu doing?"
