LOVE NARA

LOVE NARA
2,100. ALYA HONESTY

"Do you intend to play with fire here? Are you tired of your wife? Where's your smart logic? Are you out of your mind now, Di??"

"I'm still sane, Ga! I loved my wife and never had the slightest intention of turning away from her. I am so happy to enjoy life with him and our little girl. Your words are far-fetched."

Yoga and Ardi both held their voices as low as possible so that Nara and Bunga could not hear their conversation which was filled with turmoil and anger.

"But I can see clearly, how you look at him without blinking. And not just this once I saw her, but your attitude was always like this every time you met her. Can you explain that to me?"

Yoga did not feel worried if their talk would be known by Bunga, as Nara would definitely hold Bunga to remain with her in the bed.

"I make sure I will never betray the Flower! She's the wife I love, she's also the mother of my beloved little daughter. I'm so happy living my life with my family and I'm always grateful for all that."

Ardi took a sip of the cold drink brought by Yoga as they exited the room earlier. His heart was still filled with anxiety and discomfort.

"About Alya, I don't know.., honestly I still can't understand my feelings every time I meet her, after our separation more than five years ago."

"Do you still love her?" ask Yoga quickly. He could understand what his best friend was feeling, only that he wanted to hear the honesty spoken directly by Ardi.

"It's hard for me to explain because it's a matter of feeling, which can't always be expressed with a strand of words even though it can be clearly seen in the eyes of others."

Ardi looked at Yoga and tried to equate his current state with the condition that Yoga had once experienced.

"Just like the feeling you had for Nara back then. Can only keep it in the heart, without the slightest intention to have it let alone try to wrest it from others who already belong to him and have it whole."

Yoga can understand Ardi's feelings. To him, the story of Ardi and Alya is much more elusive as they both have an equally great love from the beginning and must be separated by a destiny that gives them a different life path that they must live each other.

"Honestly I still keep my feelings for Alya. It never changes, it's still the same as it used to be. But, there was not the slightest desire to fight it back. Because we've lived each other's life's destiny happily."

"I found a new love that is no less beautiful. Loving Flowers allowed me to forget the heartache of my separation from Alya. Although I must admit, I can never throw away my old love."

As usual, Rendy takes Alya to lunch before driving her to the clinic. But this time, Alya refused to eat on the spot. She asked to take him to the clinic and have lunch in his room.

Rendy just obeyed all Alya's requests. He knew the woman was hiding something but still left it alone.

"Anything that is currently bothering you, must be related to someone you just met earlier. Who is he, Al? Why is my heart so agitated like this?"

Alya kept silent during the trip. His face was so gloomy and full of turmoil. Rendy could only take a deep breath to calm herself down which helped to feel unsettled.

Until the car stopped at the clinic yard, Alya remained silent in the least. He got out of the car without waiting for Rendy to open the door first, then walked slowly into the clinic.

Rendy soon caught up with the woman she loved while carrying a bag of lunch she bought for the two of them.

Continuing to follow the steps of the graceful hijab-wearing doctor in front of him, Rendy remained silent and kept many questions in her heart.

Alya opened the door of the room where she was resting and invited Rendy in and sat down together.

The man took out lunch and drinks from the bag and prepared one in front of Alya and another in front of him.

"Fast up, Al. I don't want you to get sick from late eating and fatigue."

Rendy continues to pay attention to Alya who looks no appetite but still trying to finish it until it is not left alone.

"Your feelings look very affected by the presence of the couple. Are they or one of them someone who means a lot to you, Al?"

After both of them finished their lunch, Rendy tried to talk to the woman sitting at a distance beside her.

"Al, may I ask you something?"

Alya who was sitting leaning back with a sad look nodded without looking at her interlocutor.

"Since meeting the two guests in Nara's room earlier, your attitude suddenly changed and became restless. Was there a problem between you guys before?"

Alya had guessed the question. But he was still not sure to answer honestly. For a moment he was still silent in the room.

"I'm sorry if I was too presumptuous with my question. You don't have to answer if you don't want to share your story with me."

Alya shook her head and raised her face. For a moment he looked at Rendy who had been staring at him for a long time.

"I'm sorry, Ren. I shouldn't be acting like this, let alone towards you who has nothing to do with my problems."

Rendy covered the gentle smile on her lips as she saw Alya looking at her. His heart rippled softly as the pair of beautiful eyes stared at him wistfully.

"I don't really have a problem with them. It's just .. We've had stories in the past."

Alya emboldened herself and steadied herself to tell her old story.

"Was he the man who made you unable to open your heart to others, including me?" Rendy asked him something that had been bothering him since he was in the hospital.

Alya nodded and looked back. He realized his honesty would again hurt Rendy. But the woman did not want to cover it again from a man who had been very good and sincere to her all this time.

"I'm sorry, Ren ...."

There was a pain in the corner of the man's heart when he saw Alya's nod of the head in response to a question from him.

Rendy propped up her elbows on top of her thighs, then rubbed her face with a huff. Alya's honesty turned out to make his chest feel tight to hold the sadness in the bottom of his heart.

"It turns out to be true my guess. That man is your past. A past you can never let go of your heart and your life."
